edit: no longer stuck, I don’t know if they were unstuck by a dev. But I told them to log out for 10 minutes and then comeback, which also could’ve been the reason.

I’m on piken square and am experiencing pretty big lag, no framerate drop, it just took 10000 presses for a skill to activate. I was miles away from any zerg, just roaming. Other people are experiencing the same thing.
I’m kind of assuming that big servers are going to keep filling their maps regardless of the system because people are simply not going to leave a map because people show up on their map. But it is exploitable indeed, I don’t see it being realistic however. Defending and upgrading would help when you’re defending against an group of enemies, so it wouldn’t be worthless. I would try to adjust ppt of a low population server against a high population server to balance A. servers with low coverage B. Allow for diverse matchups, getting matched up against the same servers constantly is boring in my opinion. A low population server wouldn’t tick higher unless they are severerly outplaying their opponents with lower numbers, which would lead to competitive play. A home team would still gain ppt for their server if they capped anything. How would anyone know that they’re on a map unless they’re on the same map though, I think the bullyment argument is void.
Just a random idea on how to fix ppt gain when high population servers are matched up against low population servers. Might sound stupid, so I’d people to discuss the flaws of it and such.
What if ppt is gained according to the following formula per map:
Total amount of enemy players that have logged on the map in the tick time -15 minutes- x Ppt
This way defending an empty map is useless and you only gain ppt when you’re active on the map. Ofcourse the formula isn’t perfect, but it gives an idea right? Maybe something more eleborate:
0 – 5 enemy players on the map, only gain ppt for camps
5 – 10 enemy players on the map, gain ppt for camps and towers
10< gain ppt for camps, towers and keeps

Then give mesmers decent AoE. The one thing that makes mesmer unique in WvW and you’re trying to take that away from them? Any field by any class can be used by the whole zerg, the fact that you’re not utilizing them or don’t see them as beneficial to the whole zerg is your problem. No decent zerg uses portal bombs anymore unless you’re doing it for fun and try to get your zerg killed. The only class lacking whole zerg support is warrior. Guardians have fields that pulse boons for the whole zerg, necro’s have spectral wall, thieves have low cooldown smoke field, ele’s have tons of fields, engi has tons of fields, ranger has a long long lasting waterfield.
There is a reason why the WvW community moved onto a different forum. Justin sayin’. ANet has paid very little attention to WvW over these years and their absence from the WvW forum doesn’t contribute.
Regarding the time, imagine this: Someone has to make the art for the icon buff for supercharged golem. Or recycled, I don’t know. Someone has to implement it as a buff when you enter a golem. Someone has to change the variables as you said. Someone has to this and that, which adds up. Even if it only is 1 hours of their time, it’s still time wasted. I used to be on FA and I gained my passion for fights there, K-train shouldn’t be a thing in regular WvW. But that is a whole other discussion. This golem thing just isn’t fun for people who want to play WvW instead of farm.
So first off, I like to say that this golem event is nothing but a failure in mine and many other WvW player’s eyes. Alot of us like this game so much just because of WvW. There have been some quality changes, everyone who denies that is full of kitten. There have also been some changes that are still not present and asked for by the WvW community. Like the reward system which is ridiculous in correspondence to PvE with the rewards you get for mashing 1 at a “World boss” or dungeons that can be completed in less then a few minutes. I’m not here to talk about that. When you have a good quality of life change, like the culling, everybody always says “Why haven’t you done this earlier?” even though you spend hours upon hours upon weeks upon months trying to give us this fix. What makes me mad is that you’re spending recources on this Golem Event, time etc. But not spending these resources on making WvW better, WvW is a huge part of your game and you’re treating it like just another gimmick that has the lowest priority. There are tons of posts and videos by experienced WvW players, people who have spend thousands of hours into WvW, giving proposals on how to make WvW a better place. But no results. In addition to this, if you’re going to make an event like this, don’t let bugs and other things like that get through. You’re creating an even more negative view of ANet in the WvW community. Things like the overcharged golem on players which give them enormous damage. Someone should have noticed this if it was properly tested right? WvW shouldn’t be a play thingy that you can just start messing around with. Can you imagine doing something similar to PvE, something like “everyone’s power and precision is reduced by half, but gain double the condition damage and duration”, people would go mental. You don’t this because the biggest part of your community plays PvE and you care about PvE. If you don’t care about WvW, leave it alone don’t make it worse. If you do care, start spending recources wisely. I’d rather see the programmers work on HoT then see them ruining an awesome game mode.
This is just my view of things. I’m probably too oblivious to see the purpose of this event. But please ANet, if you complain about people not seeing the hours of work you put in to stuff, but then waste time on things like this, no bueno. English isn’t my first language, sorry my punctuation is a bit off sometimes and stuff like that. Sorry for the tough read.
You already gain vulnerability with daze shatter, easily capping to 25 stacks of vulnerability with great sword 2 skill. This daze is only 8 seconds long and it’s only 1 stack. Other traits are way better.
