Was a Pretty boring Swiss tournament due to the 2v1 deal…. But seriously, it was necessary. I’m a SOR original… Oh boy do I miss old SOR days…. I was one of the last ones who came to TC from the huge fall of SOR, didn’t want to go… But I wanted bags

TBH JQ didnt have the coverage, just alot of dedicated OT players. I want to shout out a thanks to that Sea OT time and NA who never slept it seems. Also, TC my gawsh even tho theres alot of SOR there now I still see the Zombie Coast never gives up, always there for the fights. As a old TCer myself it made me miss you all the more.

Hope there will be a big Dolyak parade to finish this season off with. Theres no FA to muck it up!!

Being on Blackgate I don’t play for PPT I play for the fights and the organization within my guild. We usually run ungtagged unless we are looking to recruit. To us a structure is something you poke to incite a fight we don’t care about setting up defensive siege but a good open wall defense of hills or bay is always fun. It’s a mentality thing nothing else some prefer the PPT play and some prefer the fights. I don’t see where one or the other is wrong they just are what they are.

I have to also say you guys are fun to fight. I fought along side ZN on TC and in JQ fighting against you, you guys still have that same ‘goodfight’ mentality.

Have to say most of the time tho its playing for the fights.. but not completely ignoring the ppt. Those hitting objectives and defending sometimes bring on the best fights anyway.

Tons of fun at TC BL on reset night. TC held up their side of the map for the most part and SoS is very relentless. Personally, I gave away plenty of bags to both TC/SOS. Special thanks to CNB/AGG/EP (SOS) + PINK/STUN (TC) – hope I didn’t miss anyone.

Included is also plenty of our own fail footage – all from my stream.

Here is how it went down tonight (lead by SG):

We started by pushing Garrison:
Failed Garri Push – 2.5 min

TC is very persistent and this will be a repeating theme for the night:
Wiped TC @ Hills – 2.5 min
Wiped TC @ Hills Part 2 – 1.5 min

At this point, we decided to give SoS side of the map a try:
Failed Bay push – 8 min
Take SOS Spawn Tower – 5 min (CNB)

But TC still wants to focus on us so we go back to them:
Take Bay + Keep Hills – 2.5 min
Wiped SoS @ N camp – 3 min
Failed Garri Push Part 2 – 4 min
Wiped @ N Camp by TC – 4.5 min
Failed Garri Push Part 3 – 8 min

SoS doesn’t seem to want to take their territary back and out looking for a fight:
Wiped SOS @ NE Camp – 3.5 min (EP/AGG)
Wiped at SoS Spawn – 3 min (EP/AGG)

At this point we focus on TC a bit more and SoS is pretty much pushed out of the map:
Wiped TC @ Hills Part 3 – 2.5 min
Cap Bay from TC – 6.5 min
Wiped TC @ Bay + NW Camp – 5.5 min
Cap NE Tower and Wiped – 3.5 min

I also have ~1 hour of footage from EB (lead by SF), but there wasn’t much fight going on when my queue finally pop’d.

I’m not alone in my thinking about TC hordes and their inability to do much of anything without a massive numbers advantage.

On that note, I’ve opted to roam naked this week. Maybe it will make some of the FA roamers I see stay and fight instead of running back to their zerg (or to the forums).

My small group as opted for nude streaking backwards all across TCBL while taking shots for every TCer we see run. Totally smashed after five minutes of game play.

Nah but really I do agree.. new content comes out and TC goes farming. Everyone kept saying its just the fairweathers but, its really not so tho there is some. Even with this weeks match I can log in just but anytime and no queue. Even outmanned today til ya’ll made a push on eb keep then we all went in to save it. Once we saved it and took sm for spite, the outmanned buff was back on. It doesnt matter if its T1 or T2 servers when theres gold to be farmed it calls louder than my screams for WvW.

Ah well, once everyone realizes the gold isnt going anywhere and its in WvW too.. and the new shinies becomes dim TC will be back in.

I guess everyones perception is different here.. RE had 15 thats it.. you did get a couple of us since you came in from our backside yes. I tagged a couple of you as I got out of the way then hakittens plopping at my feet from TW killing you all. But what I find most funny is this GvG was last night… and you cant seem to stop talking about it still.
First time in I did find it a wee bit funny.. second and 3 and 4th time tho just annoying. There was no real win or lose there tbh.
TW.. you guys all seemed super cool and I do hope in the future we can try that GvG again. I think we could have alot to learn from you all. Thank you to the time you guys did put in out there with us.

So RK is out doing some stuff tonight

First my Commander Tag breaks so i can not lead, but what ever RK will do some small scale stuff instead with 6 or so members.

Had some fun small skirmishes on the map and did some nice damage to TW and it was fun over all, only to be pointed out that our guild tag also broke.
We did some cool stuff on a small scale and our freaking Guild tag breaks, but if that was not enough after a few fights the dam ctrl+t broke and would not working either so our targeting mid fight would not work.

OH well we had fun and had some great fights, but dam things broke.

Lol Sorry about all the breakage there but that made me giggle. Always goes that way doesnt it … everything goes at the same time.

We took their Tier 3 Garrison and dedicated it to our fallen Dolyak brethren.

JQ and FA were good fun to fight. I didn’t find there was that much open field compared to last week but I guess the PPT was closer and people were more occupied with holding onto their keeps.

It is sooooo nice to be in a tier in which you are actually required to use your skills as opposed to simply using a blob to steam roll everything you see. First time in months back to WvW and really enjoying it. I hope we don’t get bumped back up to T1. TC and FA have been great opponents thus far, really enjoyed the fights, something you don’t get in T1 anymore. The lack of lag also makes this much more enjoyable. Sorry about the rant but T1 really sucks at this stage, the should rename it BLOBvsBLOBvs(server to be farmed). Anyway looking forward to rest of fun week until bumped back up to T1.

I agree with most of what you say this tier is great but the lag is still here by all means. If its worse than this then ew I dont wanna go to T1. We can ‘feel’ each other near just by the lag that begins. Not to mention when the big fights start its hard to get any skills off at times.

TC is doing great. I have been waiting for this match up forever, mostly because I know I will be hunted by your CRZY guild. But TC is a pleasure to battle against. I havent seen any hacking or cheating, its been good clean battles. The forums posts are pleasant and fun. In the field, I would love to see TC become more organized and confident in zerg fights. I see you guys trying new things, and Im hoping it all comes together and I will be a running loot bag for you! You kept us out of your homeland in EB this morning so that was great! You guys never give up and fight with great heart. I think in a few more days the TC fights will evolve and I may/may not drop a precurser for you!

I think it’s the JQ zerg that needs to up its game. I was expecting more from a T1 server.

JQ doesn’t have “the zerg.” That mentality is mostly exclusive to TC (1 giant 90 man zerg running around).

JQ runs several average zergs hitting multiple points at a time. They weren’t being condescending but you seem to be taking it a bit personally.

I remember specifically TC posters (a few, not representative of the entire server) being condescending to SoS with the “chin up, you’ll get on our level with hard work” posts a couple weeks ago. Meanwhile, SoS’ smaller zergs were wiping larger TC zergs.

Not everyone thinks the same. I happen to agree with most if not all of what you say. We on TC will fight to the end and keep coming back regardless of numbers but we have alot of room to up our game. I appreciate your input. Its been great fights out there and am loving the new match up!

Truthfully, i enjoy fighting bigger servers, it means i can always find a fight. I just do not like seeing 4 super servers, 2-5 good servers, and the rest struggling to get 20 people on a map at reset (in terms of population) .

I truthfully think arena net had in mind was for the servers to even out but i was proven wrong by that when they increase the cap yet again.

Now im almost positive that they will close 3 servers within the year and merge the population on to the remaining servers.

I agree it was very balanced before they did this random role stuff, but FA-TC were past the time of putting a ring on. We had great fights but it was stagnant we faced the same servers/people every week. SoS at that time was in the mix but they lost guilds as well, the balance was already off. I was happy to see any mix up and even getting face rolled by T1. It shook things up a bit, made us on TC learn. Nobody wants to win every match or be outmanned/ out zerged. Our recruiting didnt change the balance alone. The loss of guilds from other servers contributed. All Im saying is while it sucks right now for the servers who lost guilds just continue to recruit and be picky.. make sure you recruit guilds that want to stay the long haul. FA (and KN) have some talented players/guilds you guys wont see the unbalance forever (youve lost and gained guilds in the past). Focus on how determined your server is and what it has to offer. That alone will pull guilds towards you. I hope FA does get those slots refilled you guys are a great match for us and when in full force you have smashed us as well. I will come bump your recruitment thread myself if you like. My point was only this thread shouldnt be so focused on one guild. TC has always been a strong server, I for one am happy to have RE here to add to our great community. Our recruitment is out there yes but we are picky we arent going to grab a random bunch of guilds and create a sudden change in tiers. The loss of guilds has more to do with the imbalance, think of this time as temporary. You guys will recover.

I have commanded a ton since joining the server having a blast and hopefully improving Eternal Battlegrounds during my time on the field.

I’d say, based on the fact that I’ve logged in to find EBG completely green like 3-4 times this week…..mission accomplished. xD You guys are tenacious. You set your minds to do something, and then you do it.

FWIW, you’ve been great to have on board so far. Your attitudes in-game have been great, and I can already see the benefits of your presence. I think you coming here brought us to a nice sweet-spot in our NA where we can now compete with “T1 servers” in that slot if/when we face them. We have some obvious coverage holes in SEA and EU, but once those are filled in, we’ll be in a lovely place indeed.

Let me give you some stats. In the last 4 match ups, JQ/SoR/Bg have fought each other 3 times. One time SoR just won the rolls and got TC and SoS

this means that, according to this pattern, you will just pick on smaller servers. I really don’t see what you guys plan to get by recruiting more people? Neither DB or FA can put up the fight we did before for two reason, we lost guilds and you gained them.

Do you guys really enjoy zerging down a 5 man havoc squad trying to capture a camp, or sitting in que just to play?

I am not trying to troll, im just trying to understand your thought rational so maybe i can justify it when you do get guilds.

As a TCer since launch I can see why RE chose TC to come to, not just the things he listed but our overall community is just fun, loyal, and competitive all while remaining respectful. Its why I will never leave TC myself. That being said Im not sure why it would bother you or anyone why a guild would come to TC. TC has been growing steadily in the rankings we didnt just get here overnight. The maps still only allow the same amount of players.
To answer your questions tho.. do we enjoy zerging down 5 men.. we enjoy WvW if we run over 5 men then we do, our 5 men grps get zerged down as well.. thats everywhere. Even before RE.
Que’s – ya they blow but prime time has always had one. We deal with it or go somewhere else.
I am not trying to be mean in saying this but if it does upset you so much why dont you recruit for your own server? As you stated you lost guilds, it isnt just RE being on TC that would change that. Just fix the problem you see. You guys do have great guilds out there and plenty of skill on your server.. allow the good part of your server to shine, let other guilds who may be scouting other servers to join see a great community so perhaps you replace the guilds that left.
I hate that this match up thread has focused so much on one guild. When it all comes down to it we are all here to play and have fun.
Im happy we have guilds like EP, PiNK, TV, Nope, Cern, TSL, and yes now RE (just naming a very few) who work so well together in WvW for us to do as well as we do.. and fun! We are not just a guild that holds WvW but TC as a whole.
I do hope we can get back to the WvW discussion and leave the focus of one guild alone.
