I really enjoy the new Bloodstone Visage you guys made, and as excited to have it I am, seeing it through the back of my head all the time makes me want to remove it.
The two shining eyes are visible through the back of my head whenever I’m running or doing anything.
Today i noticed that the Achievement “Agent of Entropy” doesnt increment when the “salvage all” option is used on the salvage kits.
If you use the kit the old way, it increments, but any item automatically salvage doesnt count. Heres a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaHT5Zf7-6w

This is from back in the day when ele needed a bit more skill to play than now, but still had hard times getting some kills just like now.
If you stand around the props and boxes around the vista in the Grand Piazza, and jump between the boxes you find yourself randomly teleported around the map.
Most of the time it seems you are teleported underwater and then quickly teleported back, but sometimes you are teleported to another part of the city and don’t return.
Bug or feature?
Here’s a video: https://youtu.be/K5MgrnCxH7c
Main reason I quit playing pvp is because it is too stressful and annoying.
Not because of the builds but because of the matchmaking/players.
Every game is about praying to god you don’t get 4 monkeys in your team that try to cap far after they get mid every time or run around fighting off points chasing the PU mesmer/thief. It’s all about trying your best to watch their rotations and see what you can do to try and carry.
It is simply not fun, only stressful and quite annoying after a few sessions.
When someone is disconnected for 2 minutes team doesn’t lose pips, and that’s great, but what about when someone camps whole game afk in base?
Just had a game where we won close and mid, but some team member went far and a guy started to rage. After 1min of the match (score 100-50 to us) he told us he would be afk in base so that we all lose pips as we need to “l2p” and deserve the loss.
Could we have some sort of system that if someone doesn’t exit the base or doesn’t participate in anything for a while, it counts as desertion? Feels really really annoying when one loses a winning spree because of people out to ruin your games on purpose.
The thing that there are as many people saying that class stacking is an easy win as people saying it is a mandatory loss. One should conclude that it is maybe not THE deciding factor, at least for division < Legend.
Some stacking is good, like two eles can be, but 2-3 mesmers, 2-3 thieves or 3 guards is in my experience a sure loss. Especially more than 2 of a class is most often a sure loss. Too little cooperation between classes to cover for each others downsides.
Its actually really bad. I would not mind having to queue a few minutes longer so that I can have a proper game. A game where I have 4 mesmers in my team and lose beyond belief, is actually going to discouraging me from even playing PvP at all.
This is the game I had just now, we lost with more than 400 points.
He does have a few valid points. While I love the game in PvP it has a lot of issues.
Each game is about the 5 classes that always get picked out of a pool of 8. It could be more if the elite specs werent so strong everyone always pick them over the core classes.
The seasons last a little more than a month where too many get to legendary and with a whole month where nothing but trolling unskilled players in unranked is going on.
Other similar competitive games that are taking the streams are very very popular in Asia while GW2 has 200 ping in Korea, 300 in Singapore, god knows how many in Australia and is a completely separate game in China.
Guild Wars 2 is not a competitive game and it doesnt have a majorly competitive audience as most people join for the cushy PvE.
You get about 75 silver for each path, but when you do the 8 path repeatable achievement you get another 5g. So (8 * 0.75 +5) / 8 = 1.375g per path you do. Which is almost the same as before the nerf but considering you also get a lot more tokens than before, this is perhaps better than before.
Ever since the 19th patch each time I enter LA I get two “Your Fate is Clouded” mails. This means that if I login, I get 2, when I teleport out and come back I get another two etc. It gets bothersome.
From what I understand this mail should come if you had some issue during personal story, but the thing is I had no issues when I did it a long time ago.
Actually, this bug seems to give my account an unfair advantage.
I came across the Drone Race adventure and got a gold in the first attempt facerolling my keyboard. I told my girlfriend it was the easiest thing I ever saw and that anyone could do it blindfolded.
She came and died and died time after time following exactly the same path i took.
She is currently playing from Singapore, so usually when something is spooky we assume its the extra Singapore lag (at very least 300 ping). So I logged into her account in Europe to help her and noticed her experience was very different from mine.
As soon as her car touches one of those poisoned vines, it explodes, while on my account I can take the car without using the shield 1 protective skill and drive straight through them, taking perhaps 20% damage. So for instance, when she jumpes down from the rock between the second and third checkpoint, she must activate the shield and very precisely jump between the two vines. Even a slight touch kills her. While on my account i can just swoop through them.
But the worst thing is the final jump. On my account I just go to the final ramp and press 3 while aiming for the goal. Ive done so probably 15+ time and each time i arrive at the finish with a gold. On her account the car blows up mid air no matter what I do, even if I put on the shield on skill nr 1. It was only after some thinking I noticed you should jump up on the rock to the left and then go down to the ground.
The conclusion i draw is that there is something about my account that changes the experience for me. Is it that i have poison resistance mastery unlocked and she doesnt? We tried this on multiple occasions and the result was always the same.
No. I wouldn’t be ok with that.
If we will be getting any legendary weapons it better be before the next expansion or be free for anyone with HoT. Anything other than that is taking what I already paid for and asking me to pay for it again. Weapons can still be found on the HoT advertisement page.
Difficulty isnt the problem if you ask me, its that you need other players for exactly everything. Today I wanted to help my gf get some Exalted Masks in VB, just go and press F on them. We go there and find the whole map more or less locked down and closed, we must taxi in people, tag up and clear the events in order to open the roads.
All we wanted was to fight some monsters and get the masks we came for, now we find ourselves leading a map.
What could bring back players to WvW if not a legendary incentive?
How about:
-match ups that are decided by the better server not the bigger night crew
-balanced skills
-a meaningful scoring system
-a balances fighting environment?
Given the discussions that have been going on here in the WvW forum I didnt mention this as it was obvious and devs responded.
You guys did have valid points. Perhaps implementing this as an achievement collection, but I do see such an implementation could make people just capture 2 towers and get 5 kills per day before going afk.
(edited by kirima san.3760)
I know the whole legendary weapon issue was very recent but hear me out.
What could bring back players to WvW if not a legendary incentive?
Legendary weapons can be earnt in all of PvE, back items can be earnt in both PvE and in PvP and soon the new legendary armor will be earnt by a very small and very niche part of the PvE community.
Why not bring a set of Legendary Armor to be the ultimate reward for palying WvW? So that WvW can have something of it own. The current back items are great as they can be earnt in the mode you enjoy/prefer and also are a reason many play more PvP than they normally would.
Giving WvW a legendary armor set would not only bring in fresh blood to WvW and help revive it, but would also give us more ways to earn the ultimate rewards in the modes we enjoy playing, not being forced into modes we dont really care about.
What do you guys think?
(edited by kirima san.3760)
Yeah this is exactly what I think too. If you look around in PvP and in PvE there is almost never anyone running a non elite spec. They are just so much stronger than the core classes.
The game shouldn’t be like this, you should endorse variety. An ele should think before going tempest or core, a guardian should generally be just as effective as a DH and a revenant in PvP should sometimes be viable without running a shield.
Today its Elite Spec or have a rough time.
Welcome to the game. Unfortunately despite the profession description describing us as diverse damage dealers, the PvP balance team decided we will deal measly damage and instead only become valid as healers.
Enjoy your stay and welcome to the club.
Since we not getting the legendary weapons which was part of HoT content. How about Anet compensate us by giving us ingame items like gems or an additional character slot?
We got legendary weapons; we’re getting one more.
Now, I admit that I expected more, but upon re-reading the original blog post (and follow-ups in various places), I realize that was me imposing my hopes on their comments — they never promised a full set of 16, only the new process allowing to create our own precursor and some new ones.
I also agree that, at best, ANet mismanaged our expectations — they could have made it clear that only a few legendaries would be offered with launch and that it might take awhile to see more.
Still, in terms of legendaries, they delivered what they said they would.
I’m sorry what? Here you go, all sixteen:
The first three we’ll release are a celestially themed axe called Astralaria, an experimental energy themed pistol called H.O.P.E., and a raven spirit themed staff called Nevermore. It takes a lot of work to craft these legendary journeys for release, so rather than take the time to develop the full set before releasing any of them, we will be releasing new legendary weapons in small groups at regular intervals until the full set of sixteen has been added to the game. Collections for the existing legendary weapons will be available on launch day, while the first three new legendaries will become available shortly after launch, alongside raids.

Don’t spread FUD.
Legendary weapons where never part of HoT content, they where released after HoT launched. You where required to own HoT to get them..same with raids, we where told they would be coming after HoT launches.
So if anyone is talking rubbish it would be you. Yes Legendary weapons getting canned is bad, but we knew when we got HoT, that they would not ship with it. People need to remember this.
Never part of HoT content? How come they were accounced the same time as HoT at the same event? And how come they are based on/in the new HoT maps? How come the website clearly says:
Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns heralds the beginning of the first new set of legendary weapons to be added to the game since its original set of twenty included in the launch of Guild Wars 2.
They are part of HoT even if you seem to fail at reading.
We where told they would not be included with the initial launch of HoT, we would need HoT to be able to craft them. The wording there is very specific. HoT heralds the start of new legendary weapons. Not, new legendary weapons will be included with HoT. If anyone has failed to read and understand it would seem to be you.
Lol cherry pick some more mate, white knighting at its finest.

Sure, shift effort but at least deliver the weapons you promised in the end. Integrate them into the LS or something but do not suspended indefinitely, I bought HoT with the intent of crafting some of them.
Obviously I go into this knowing that some players will be very upset. That’s why it’s such a tough decision.
Ankdarkwolf, Darkmikau, Ballads, Spira, Caerbannog, Cysgod, you each posted a variant of an accusation I’ve seen many times over the past few months on the forums, something along the lines of, “AN shipped half an expansion with HoT.” I take issue with that. We shipped a new region full of content, a new mastery system, gliding, guild halls, a new profession, nine new elite specializations for existing professions, and more. Then we shipped precursor journeys for existing legendaries, and said, “We’ve been working hard on new legendary weapons, the first handful of which will be introduced in Heart of Thorns, with more to come in subsequent updates.” While I fully get that you’re disappointed today, this is not about us shipping half an expansion pack.
Mo
As long as you deliver everything you promised would come with HoT before the next expansion arrives, I will accept your reply.
I’ll have to agree with the others here. HoT was advertised to contain 16 new legendary weapons, 2 legendary back pieces and a set of legendary armor. The weapons were supposed to arrive at regular intervals.
Half a year later you delivered almost nothing and tell me you are suspending the development after you took my money? You cant even spare six developers to develop what I paid you for? If these weapons dont come out before the next expansions, I will not buy the next expansion.
Well done.

The diconnection pip los timer needs to be shortened and remove the 3 profession achievements. They are right now really annoying me.
I dont complain about it being difficult to win 10 games with 3 professions, its easy as I know 3 professions.
What is honestly infuriating is when you get people with brand new characters named something like TestCharDH or something who try out their profession in ranked and get slaughtered. Just now I had this rev with level 1 armor scoring 0 as our team lost 500-69…… after that I had him for 2 more games because match making is fantastic…. losing with similar horrible scores as another elementalist with level 1 items joined….
And the timer before dishonor needs to be changed. It needs to be shortened and to count as dishonor and prevent pip los even if the person comes back after a while. Had a very even game where we were at 200-200. After taking mid they countered by going 4 to our home. We managed to take it back and 3 of us rotated back to mid for next wave, leaving the ele to capture home. But he didnt, he just appeared to stand there on the map until the enemie thief came and took it…
Turns out the ele disconnected and was then gone for at least a minute and half, leaving us always outnumbered. As we were at the brink of defeat, 450-350, he then rejoins at the very end letting all of use los a nice pip each. I dont care why he disconnected, I dont want to get punished because of it.
A really properly infuriating day in GW2 PvP, starting to wonder why I even play this anymore.
I agree. When I signed up to play elementalist they described us as an adaptive damage dealing class. Now I either go full dps and get 1 shot by anything while doing ok damage, or I become this slow and boring to death healer that does nothing except jump around like a mosquito hoping my allies will do the damage while I heal them. You cant do anything on your own, no 1v1 ability.
Honestly this is just starting to feel really annoying.
Every few games you meet a premade of 3 necros and an engi plus something and they just destroy you. There is nothing one can do when you face 3 necros at mid and they all give you 5 condis plus convert your boons to condis. Every game this happens you lose by some astronomical numbers.
Necromancers really need to be toned down a bit. Last season it was the super fast mesmers and this season its the necros. I know other complain about this too, but its important we do so this gets fixed, and that soon, not next season.
You are not wrong, we can heal very well, but the only reason this type of build is played is because its pretty much the only thing we can do effectively.
If we go DD offensive we get more glassy and die in close range team fights (dh traps, necros, revs) and cant beat anyone in 1v1.
If we go S/F fresh air we do a lot better damage but not enough to win properly good players in 1v1, but have ok burst. This type of builds lacks healing and we must use earth ivurn.
Staff and in particular warhorn are way too clunky and slow for us to use. Warhorn is good for nothing in pvp.
Try playing ele if you don’t believe me, and notice how build websites all pretty much only show the dagger focus team healer build as a good option. There is a good discussion in the ele forum about this right now.
Tldr; after all the nerfs old OP dd cele ele got, and all the sustain new specs have, only thing ele can so is heal.
Just did CoE p1-3 and you know what? The rewards are pretty fine.
We did the first half of p1 with only 3 people as we were waiting for the rest to join. It was a breeze. The power creep has made the dungeons so easy to complete.
And despite all the complaining that dungeon rewards are low I would say they are pretty fine really.
I earned about 5g and had a lucky drop giving me 9g. In total 14g.
Each path gave me about 70s, 2.1g. And the 5 pieces of t6 mats I got gave me about 2g plus some extra rare items. Also got a luck back piece worth 9g. Yesterdays CoF gave similar results.
I honestly don’t think dungeon rewards are so bad as you guys make it sound. Sure the liquid reward isn’t the best, but considering you can easily sell the t6 mats and the rare items on TP, it does stack up and feel quite fine. Wouldn’t you agree?
Actaully I made a build almost exactly like yourse, except I go dagger/dagger and use DS. So far I have few problems, have great dps and can even tank vs1-2 at a point and win sometimes. The only problem I see are the bloody corruption Necromancers.
Every shout gives me protection, vigor, regeneration and an aura + 1.4k healing… and when a corruption necro comes along I get 5-7 condis and just melt unless I manage to clear off a few and stay I the fight so I get hit and remove them by DS.
Corruption necro is a real hardcounter.
Tl:DR I agree and it starts to feel really grindy getting all the masteries leveled and their points. The answer to everything is do more events and do adventures.
Yeah I’m starting to agree with you. I started playing when Factions was released way back when and this is the worst its been for a long time.
When I first started playing HoT I was thinking the people on the forum colaining about masteries were just whiners as I got my gliding and legendary crafting to max by just running around doing new events. Now I want to create Glints Bastion needing to have stealth detection and exalted mastery. Two tracks I did pretty much nothing on because they are honestly really useless.
And this is where it starts to feel bad as I need about 7mil XP for Exalted mastery maxing and about 2-3mil more for the Stealth detection. The solution for this? Events, events events. There are 4 track each needing about 8mil or so, 8*4 = 32mil XP pretty much only doing events.
All I am supposed to do is to replay the same events over and over again. They got really boring and I noticed I have barely been in the HoT maps the last 4 weeks or so as I’ve seen and done everything except gotten my masteries maxed.
Fractals, Raid and PvP are just so much more fun. Older content is more fun and has more value when one comes back to it than HoT maps.
With LS3 better make up with a new map. Give me a more meaningful way of getting XP instead of “escort the dolyak in DS 30more times”. Why does my gliding become better if I do that event 30 time?
(edited by kirima san.3760)
got 0 ascended chest from 36 daily chests (between adept, journeyman, master(10))
Got a master today, opened it and got Ascended Boots. Fractal 77
So you are saying its dependent on what fractal you finish the daily on?
Well probably that doesn’t matter, what I mean is perhaps the chest we get today have better rates than the old ones? I opened a lot of the old ones I saved and got nothing, I opened a new one and got boots.
And it was a Champion chest and in the notes the specifically mentioned higher fractal levels will get increased ascended drop rate.
Ascended Boots from what fractal lvl? or just daily chest?
I got it from the Daily Fractal Master chest, 3 51+ chest. I did 56, 60 and got it at 77. And I saw two other guys who also got some armor and weapons.
got 0 ascended chest from 36 daily chests (between adept, journeyman, master(10))
Got a master today, opened it and got Ascended Boots. Fractal 77
On average I seem to be getting around 46.7 silver per Fractal Encryption I open. Also during the some paly I got an Ascended Boots chest and a few rings. Oh and seems I get at least 200k xp per fractal I do.
This really is an issue.
After about 4h of play today every second or third game I played I see a team that just completely destroyed mine. Why? Because they are 3-4 Sapphire or Ruby chaps with an Amber friend in their team. This isn’t even funny anymore.
You need to make sure that you can only party up with people +-1 division to yours. My teams just get destroyed by these obviously high skilled players coming down to eat new players and it keeps happening way too often.
Hi
So my girlfriend is currently doing the Twilight Collection 1 and is trying to complete get “Research Destruction”. To get it she need to complete the event:
“Escort the elite Whispers strike team to the secret Inquest base entrance”
Which is part of the chain of events:
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bashing_Bauxite_Alchemicals
The NPCs start the first event but when they get to the gate of the Inquest base entrance, they stop and never move again. We were 5+ people trying everything but nothing worked. The NPCs that only say they need to be escorted to the gates simply stop at the gates and do nothing, even if there are no enemies attacking them.
Wiki added that "The strike team must destroy the base’s defense cannons to infiltrate the facility. " All the cannons health is down to 0, but they still appear as whole.

“3 legendary weapons will ship with expansion, rest will come later?”
Stop delaying the content, release it or don’t promise things that you can’t make, we’ve waited 14 days already, Tyrian Gods know how much longer we will have to wait for other legendarys to be released, 3 months, 6? 1 year?.By now you should have holidays, getting some rest to be fresh and ready for new planing of next GW2 expansion, and not working on things that should be shipped with HoT. Will that bring another 3 year delay before we get new content?
“Collections for the existing legendary weapons will be available on launch day, while the first three new legendaries will become available shortly after launch, alongside raids.”
I suppose its not easy to actaully read the post announcing the new weapons.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/hot-new-legendary-weapons/
Also the post said it takes about a month for each new weapon to get added and get collections for it. So expect new to arrive every month or two.
(edited by kirima san.3760)
Well we are more or less as good as we were before, problem is that the rest got stronger making us an ok at best class currently. In WvW we still can get a staff and nuke groups or run around doing ok healing as Tempest.
Which leads me to my problem which is while each class got something new and cool to play, we get to become a ok healers with really meh damage unless we equip a staff, in which case we play just the same as we did all these years.
I’m changing to chronomancer.
(edited by kirima san.3760)
I think this bug is only to do with Mordrem Guard Sniper.
While playing my Chronomancer in Tangled Depths whenever I used “Decoy”, the skill that makes you gain stealth for a bit of time, the Mordrem Guard Sniper would still follow me, aim at me and hit me.
Actually I was going to make a similar post.
At the HoT launch day we get new glider skins to buy in the store, and now a bit more than a week later we get even more weapons and glider skins too. Meanwhile in the new expansion where gliding is a huge thing, we get no new skins to unlock at all.
And for an expansion lets not even mention how few actually relevant new weapon and armor skins we got…. Well the new legendary armor and weapons will be nice, but you get my point.
This feels more and more like “want a new glider skin? come buy from the store as there are none in the game”.
Please could you change the animations of these skills?
I mean really? Some dragon hunter places 2-3 traps and another one perhaps comes along (or a revenant comes flying with sword 3/mesmer shield 5) and you have your screen flashing white with rays and dragon heads from the ground for 5 seconds.
Its impossible to see anything when this occurs, who thought this is a good idea? Turn of the flashing lights and skills that occupy the entire screen in pvp at least.
Ah yeah thats correct! Just looked it up and they are Guild Hall weapons you can obtain. each guild hall has its own version.
Thanks a lot guys!
I remember in the trailer for HoT/the new elite specs we saw some new weapon skins. At least I thought they were new and was waiting for them eagerly.
But now I dont really see anything about them. Or are they to come with the raids?
For instance check this image of the chronomancer with a new sword skin:
You do realise that upgrading the engine to DX11 would leave out all of the people already playing on DX9 and DX10 only machines right?. As there is a huge player base on DX 9 and 10 only machines. (WinXP and Vista, plus some Win7s)
And if you think maintaining two versions where one runs on DX11 and the other on DX10, (or 3 versions if DX9 only WinXP people should play) is easy, you have no idea what you are talking about.
Say goodbye to future expansions with the size of their team…
i dont understand why you cant buy a better PC unless your making minimum wage?
Because as a business its really stupid to tell perhaps a million of your users “screw you you have to all buy a new graphics cards and upgrade your OS in order to continue to play the game so that a small minority with the latest cards can be happy”
DirectX11 would be a reasonable compromise though. You could use it on Windows 7 systems (old OS) while enabling a 64-bit client to minimize Tequatl crashes. Playing on the lowest possible settings (and still having a risk of crashing) just isn’t fun.
If someone’s system is too lousy to play a game made in the 10s then they should just buy old games off Steam. You can even buy very old school 16-bit games off Steam in bundles.
DX11 is for Windows 8 and above, Direct3D is a version that works on Windows 7 but its not the same.
It would not be a reasonable compromise. Imagine the kittenstorm when Vista and Windows 7 users come to the forum complaining how they bought the game for the published requirements and now suddenly cant play it so that those 10 guys complaining can notice a difference.
None of you seem to understand a thing about how DirectX works nor how to run a business.
DirectX9 is dinosaur stuff though. I know enough to know that superior products sell better. We’re in the 4k era, you gotta change with the times man.
You can render 4K with DX9.
It is old, but when millions of your users sit on it, you dont tell them “spend 300-500 bucks for graphics card and OS to continue palying, or go to our competitors”.

Why buy a game if you want to put no effort at all into it? Better go watch it on youtube or buy a movie, those play themselves without any effort.
Why make straw man arguments rather than addressing what a person is actually saying? I couldn’t tell you.
Its just like the AR in fractals, it is there to make sure the players that reach the most difficult fractal 50 actually know what they are doing and played the easier versions of it before.
No it isn’t, it’s there to make sure that players don’t reach Fractal 50 in the minimum possible time. It’s a content-extending practice. A player with max AR isn’t necessarily any better than a player with none. In fact, if I wanted to I could get a full suit of ascended with max AR right now, it would cost a pretty penny but it’s entirely doable with zero skill necessary.
Gearing is zero reflection of player capability.
Its almsot impossible to clear swamp with first time level 5 pugs and now you tell me level 50 should let them just come in and screw up my experience. Why cant you accept there is content for less skilled and more skilled and experienced players.
Also you couldnt make an armor set or accessories with AR witouth playing any fractals. Which is good, because if I see you on my level 50 I want you to at least know how to run through swamp.
Now based on this thread and other threads you are either just a neat troll or just really a brick wall.
Good day to you.
