but both me and my guild feel the PVE is neglected to the point it’s alienating.
The WvW players would like to have a word with you…
lol
I think the point i was trying to make is surly putting something like super adventure box back in is just a case of flicking a switch they do it all the time with the Halloween update which to be fair is pretty much the same instance every year bar very few changes. The Chinese new year stuff was sub par at best. It just makes it look like im going to have to go not bother for the next 6 months until something tangible comes into play that will keep me entertained.

I main a thief and I can say without a doubt that I do not want Rifle for my specialization! Give me dual swords to play as a blade dancer, or a greatsword (assassins of ancient times used katana’s with a two handed grip as well so that would make sense thematically), or even a staff I could use as a polearm like Rytlock was using in the trailer! Just please for the love of all that is Holy and True, do not force thieves to have to go with a freaking Rifle (pretend I said that with disgust), that does not even follow the theme the character was designed for and fits well in most everyone’s minds.
I agree rifle is almost the easy way out if they go that route dual wield sword sounds like it could work though!
This is true i just wish it wasn’t an update every 2 weeks with a new item on the Black lion store shouldn’t they be taking this time to perform balance changes and update patches before the expansion comes out or maybe just some random encounters in the world with those dragons torching towns. The world is still in the wake of mordremoths corruption Hell all the dragons corruption ! we could see these things happening slowly. You cant tell me mordremoth is sitting in maguma planning his next move, Dragons Act there could even be a few dynamic events added.
A few more dynamic events take time to add and test. That’s the whole point. When we were getting content all the time, a whole lot of people begged and even demanded an expansion. When an expansion is being made, a good portion of the team is hard at work on that expansion. If they continued to make content and the expansion at the same time, it would take far longer to make the expansion.
It’s so easy to say just make some more dynamic events. Say Anet added 5…people would be bored of those five in a day, maybe two. There’s no percentage in it.
This is true.

Maybe we should have a group of duel wielding classes that no on expects imagine your surprise to see…..
Mesmer: Duel wielding torch (The Prestige)
Guardian: Duel wielding Shield ( The Bunker)
Warrior: Duel wielding Rifle (The Boss)
Elementalist: Duel Wielding Staff ( The Magician)
Ranger: Duel Wielding Bows ( The What the Hell!)
Necro: Duel wielding Warhorn ( The plague)
So much more fun
I would first like to express that I love playing this game, But up until recently i have suddenly had less and less to do it’s not that there isn’t enough in game(i don’t enjoy pvp or WVW) its just the player base of the guilds I rep with seems to be waning which means I cant do dungeons with with my guilds or fractuls and yes I could group with normal payers but I don’t enjoy that especially being grouped with a team that dont speak english. The fact is after months and month of living world updates I’m missing that calling to go do something. I’m working on legendarys and backpieces etc but cant stand grinding and not having anything else to work towards i’ve done silverwastes to death and hardly anyone seems to do dry top which means most of the time the best I can expect is Tier 3 rewards, and i have completed living world season 2 4 times. If we are going to wait approx 6 – 8 months for an expansion which again i am very much excited and looking forward too surely there should be more to do than just wait…… Dragon ball was great like 3 runs but I’m bored now. The question is this, Where is Living world season 1 ? its wasn’t great as far as living world content goes but id still like to play it again and then there is the big question on everyone’s lips, where is super adventure box ? that would keep my occupied for a good couple of months as I never played it the first time round but would love to play something different and challenging and finally get my hands on the Super weapon skins. I’m not one to complain I’m quite easy going but I want something to keep me in game and the herald of the test game and beta versions does not capture me. I will not be taking place in the Beta testing not because I don’t want to aid the developers but just because it ruins the experience and I want to play it with my friends for the first time in awe rather than know all the mechanics before it even comes out. Anyway how does everyone else feel about lack of PVE content at the moment?
Wow you people are imaginative…. “lets have a ranger with space armor, and lets have dinosaur pets, lets make them 200% bigger and lets give rangers bombs, and a staff and a rifle” How about leave rangers the way they are lol
Gwen wouldn’t put up with his nonsense . I think we will feed logan to mordremoth and he gets indigestion and dies solving two problems with one stone.
I would summon Jora, she was my fav norn in GW1 and a true legend in my eyes either that or devona her hammer smashed many a foe
I hope not i like jumping 0_0
Its south of tyria……
Does queen jenna have a secret history i dont know about? last i checked she was the boring lady that sits in a gilded hall of divinitys reach and hasn’t lifted a finger to do anything from day one. Anise is a high powered mesmer so who knows what her motives are and if she’s even really a lady (lets face it she could be the true descendent to the throne as she seems to pull all the strings in divintys reach yes im saying she could be a bloke)
I would agree with most of that, But also if you spec into a druid dont expect to use your bow anymore, with every upgrade there is always a consequence you cant cant your cake and eat it. Its more likely that a druid will be more healing utility snares etc almost like a support class remember in guild wars one there was a consequence to choosing a second class and once chosen that was it i’m sure they are trying to get us to make more dynamic decisions on how our characters play and consequences are a part of that. I personally dont mind too much just give me the hammer engineer with the drones
Thousands of people will be re rolling classes and trying out the new profession so i would imagine a lot of people will be outside of maguma, yes a lot of us will be moving west but the game is a diverse environment just because ive played the rest of the game to death theres still a ton to do and the precurser scavenger hunt will be taking us all over tyria, on top of that you have living story you’ve already seen how much they have been delving into the lore of the game we will still be revisiting the rest of tyria I am sure.
Its safe to say they will still be going over the games main content whilst we are waiting for the expack to be released expect a lot of feature packs in the next few months im sure they will be fine tuning alot of stuff before it release
Remember as they explained HOT is the next step from the normal content you could play the normal game as you have been now but without the mastery you wont have access to the newer content also i doubt dungeons will be looked for specialised toons as it will completely change the dynamic of the dungeon. If they wanted a class with healing and snares then yes a specced ranger/druid would be perfect but in a dungeon situation most people are still going to want the high damage output of a standard ranger but who can say really, with so many new class specs its going to be interesting dusting off some of my old 80’s and finding a new way to play them. As for the pvp i think it will be a bit of a grey area until they announce more but WVW is getting an overhaul anyway you just wont have access to the new borderland with the old content.
One of the biggest things for me in guild wars 1 was the way it approached lore in the game making it a valid experience and making you want to go out into the world and learn more. With guild wars 2 I find it harder to enjoy this experience due the fact that most lore is hidden in books around the library’s of the world, living world season 2 came closer with things like the worm encased in jade and the books at the Durmond Priory but it was still kept to a few choice words on screen. I think a lore journal would be a great way to keep tabs on the games movers and shakers in the game especially for new players, there is so much history in this game that deserves validation The dragons, the Mursaat, the white mantle, the dwarfs as well as all the politics from Rata Sum to the far shiverpeaks everything you have featured in the lore journal is perfect and I hope they release something like this soon.
