Here’s an idea to shake things up a bit. Part of the RNG would be the possibility to have two servers combine for a higher rating and go up against servers with tiers very different from them.

What if for example, SOR would be up against a combination of two tier 8 and one tier two server. I think that would be really interesting to see.

This merge should only affect WvW maps and nothing more.

Crystal Desert is racking up on the rating so you would expect them to get paired with someone else next time.

I hope we still get a very good roll this reset.

Don’t lose your steam yet, Crystal Desert. Yak’s Bend has done a mad push for points at the end of the week before and they may very well so do it again.

Kaineng is still reeling from the loss of one NA and one Oceanic guild but it’s good to see the server meshing together better now and still maintaining a decent PPT throughout the day.

There’s a Malaysian guild from CD that went into our borderlands the other night SEA time that had a bunker Engineer with great cc skills. Your party was much more tough to beat because of you.

I’m having a better time doing solo and group roaming with this current match up. I hope we draw a good match next time as well.

If it’s any consolation for you jaycatano we keep trying to attack our own dolyaks thinking we’re still blue.

I have died many times jumping back into a rushing zerg to pick up a couple of loot bags. My precursors were there, I tell you!

So did anyone see the new siege tactic from Kaineng? We like building point blank trebs on towers now hahaha. Someone made a mistake of dropping one down in front of Anzalias and we ended up building it.

We were hoping to roll out the new matchup system for the next matchups but unfortunately we ran into a few snags. We are working hard to get everything working 100% correctly and tested and should be able to start the new matchups once we’ve checked everything. I’ll make sure to be back to let you all know as far ahead of time as I can. My apologies for the inconvenience.

And here I was looking forward to the new matches. With guilds leaving Kaineng, the loss of tiers would have been best for us to reorganize and find ourselves.

Built a treb and cart successfully in Mag BL, YB has been dropping siege too. Dunno if that means anything

Yesterday we were able to build trebs and a few ac’s in Mag BL, too. Any idea if the same can now be done in EBG?

Gotta love that ram between Wildcreek and Rogue’s Quarry laced with traps. Random people looking for extra 5 wxp keep getting hit by it.

We finally took out the waypoint for KBL Hills. Grats to the oceanic commanders that took it. I wonder what strategy prevailed?

Epic fight in Mag BL Bay as well. You can always trust Mag to throw everything including the kitchen sink when doing defense.

Also had fun fighting Yak’s Bend for Outlook Keep earlier as well. We kept running back to contest the Lord’s Room.

There are more pros to having the server communicate to each other rather than the cons of having spies know of our movements.

Can I ask for your definition of the timezones? When you say NA timezone does that mean daytime or night time US? How do the Oceanic, SEA, EU and NA timezones convert into server time, for example?

Pingzapper? Get that ping down. I live in the Philippines and 200ms is actually good already for our DSL.

We’re more like a weekend overtime server because those are the only days wherein we can play straight even after the other servers log off. On weekdays, just like everyone else we can only play on our free time.

Just got stomped out of all our keeps in Kaineng Borderlands after spending the whole night retaking it and then spending gold on upgrades. Maguuma zerg was at least 30 strong and went through the reinforced gates like hot knife through butter. And since all of the keeps were being upgraded, there were little to no sieges left. That and being outmanned meant that we could do little to stop the tsunami of blue. My party of 4 and a handful of other players died fighting.

Sucks to be outmanned.

In case you haven’t been able to find it yet, try to ask around on your server if there is a community teamspeak or mumble server so that you can hear what the commander is saying. It really helps as it’s easy to get tunnel vision when you are sieging a tower or currently in a clash. Knowing when the commander intends to pull away from a clash to regroup will mean the difference of you being in the core or tail of the group. Ultimately, it can mean life or death.

When I used to run my ranger before I opted to use a Melandru set instead of a full zerker just for better survivability. When you’re really used to moving in the group and avoiding red circles of aoe then you can switch to full zerker to maximize damage.

It’s a pretty shady thing to do, so not gonna say how on the forums. Doesn’t require any third party tools, though.

But a glitch abuse, nonetheless?

Battlefield 3 has the “spot” button to tag targets for friendlies. Then it gives you a spotter bonus when that target gets killed. Something similar could be implemented here like a hotkey to spot a target that’s not in combat. That with an audio queue shouting Enemy Spotted would be great so that you don’t need to type “INCOMING” in map chat hurriedly.

I think everyone agrees that hacking like wall glitching and zoom hacking should not be tolerated and spoils the game for everyone. It’s up to all of us to keep an eye out for these and report them as we see them.

We are having the same problem at the vista opposite of ANZ and also at the cata spot near the dredge exit. Our trebs disappear after you finish building them. Catapults get built fine.

It doesn’t happen on all spots. After so many wasted blueprints one got made on the slope going up to the vista in front of ANZ.

It was even better when they were running in conjunction with CO. They move like hammer and anvil.

Realy disapointed in Kaineng this week.

Put your manpants on and actualy fight a 1v1 instead of always calling in 15 of your buddies.

Are you a thief by any chance? I never take on thieves alone as I know I’m just food for them.

Anyway maybe it’s best if there is just a fight club for those that want to have duels.

Best to guest and try out their pve. You can get to know the community firsthand that way.

Kaineng is working hard to keep in Tier 3. The fights are much better here because you can actually use more skills than 1.

It is extremely annoying to get an “hour or two” message for a new build and get booted out of WvW in a couple of minutes and then having it done to you over and over and over again.

And then when you finally are able to get into WvW, the enemy has already flipped all your holdings. Great, just great.

How about just disable WvW while you’re sorting your patch out or at least disable scoring.

I know WvW is about rallying people to play but having to contend with pathes and new builds should not be part of the game.

I expect Maguuma to take first place by end of the week. Hopefully Kaineng can adjust to the coverage holes left by big guilds and keep this Tier competitive. I don’t particularly care if we lose this week as long as everyone has relatively more fun. And so far, I’m having more fun than in Tier 2.

I once saw someone use a treb in citadel against the northeast tower (eyrie) in the borderlands. Was I seeing it wrong or is there a place where you can put a treb in the citadel?

Well they’ve won the week already so they can rest up for reset night.

Hopefully DB will make Tier 2 more competitive otherwise TC will find themselves in KN’s shoes weeks before. Weeks of PVDoor with no end is not really enjoyable.
