i use heal mantra and centaur runes, dunno about a signet
I just hit em from afar with a greatsword burst 2 4 3 and it’s pretty much a death sentence. I do like the sword 2 distortion and power break. use those too
I like mantras. zerker stats and harmonious and empowering. run in eotm with it a lot. centaur runes give you the swiftness on those 3 heals. mantra I keep are condi cleanse and power break. clean u and allies and stability to u and allies. save ur peeps from necro fear on those narrow walkways :p. 9th slot i change around to the daze mantra or portal for the zerg. or any skill I need at the moment. the burst is pretty fun on gs. then I use sword and switch between focus/pistol/torch based on needs atm. if u like mantras go for it.
Do edge of the mists. Lot of k-training and some big fights too. U will be able to get your wxp levels up while getting some gear too. Start learning and then head into regular wvw. Backlining with lb is cool. U can go a couple of ways. Power or condi. I generally do condi. Either rampagers stats with krait runes. (ie) drop an entanglement bomb in middle of enemy zerg and back out and pew pew with that lb. Or a rabid set with undead runes for a tankier roamer. On the lb u can put on fire and torment sigil and tag as many as u can. The condition damage will help u get massive bags on the arrow cart. But yeah check edge of the mists and follow ur commander and have fun.
I do the 0/0/4/6/4 on a cleric guardian with water runes, will prolly switch to monk. Use in wvw. Pretty cool on keeping your zerg up and going. Use staff and mace shield. Then switch traits around for two handed and hammer chill when i swap mace shield for hammer to knock people around. Tome of courage great for massive healing spike and keeping your flame ram guys up under heavy fire.
it just another way to play the game. u can tank and be a walking water field for your team. I use it in dungeons/fractals and in wvw. keeps dps uptime for your party. heals anyone that “needs” it in a zerg. at gates in wvw let ur ram masters keep going while they get that gate down. zerg fights be the protector and reviver and support everyone while doing it. using clerics gear and superior rune of water then upgrade to monk when u can your aoe healing can be insane. sigils like life or benevolence. whichever one gives u more at ur healing level along with other sigils that proc when hit/swap/get hit etc. a good demontration video would be this

yeah i pretty much start with chef on new toons when i need to take a break from other stuff, then jewelry crafting (make your character some trinkets in process) then branch out from there. but those two crafting professions might be all you need to get to 80 or close to it.
If you up to that level already, you can craft and level the rest of the way to 80. (Since you may have some gold and materials collected already) or just jump on a karma train on WVW Edge of the Mists and build up your wvw rank while leveling up like nobody’s business and talk to your fellow server mates. :P
i go with the build hendo and pyro mentioned, a good all around one, keeps your phantasms kicking butt, here is vid by scoteinos with it, check and see if you like it, he also had some gameplay vids of it too
Some tricks in addition to focus swiftness. 6 centaur superior runes with like mantra of recovery will give u near perma swiftness. u can get swift moa feathers from tigg npc or trading post, but that may be costly in the long run(buy order of 18s right now for 30 min).
yes after update. trait resets are free. so expirement to your hearts content. also go into pvp and then expirement with the runes and sigils before you spend money for them in pve wvw. have fun
these been new fave after update. switched from 2 each of centaur krait afflicted. really great for bleedings rangers . and double sigils on bows with earth and agony gets those bleed stacks maxed. and yes spike trap and entangle add to the fun
I like a bleeding ranger. been a good farmer in orr and fun to run with in wvw. check the other thread here about krait runes. fun condition based build. use rampagers armor and weapons and then sigil of earth and agony on each bow (if u sb/lb) . continue with trinkets to your liking. bleed pet like lynx. or an aoe pet like a drake. but this profession has some nice different playtypes. traps. spirits etc. I just hit youtube and look at the recent build and gameplay videos and see what suits ur fancy
for bleeding fans they are very good and cheap right now. having fun with them on a bleeding ranger. thanks for all the tips so far on what to use these on for a mes
