Its basically the HQ of the centaurs – hence the massive DE there – so yeh its a pretty tough area for 1 or 2 people, i recommend tagging along with some randoms, or wait for the DE to pop up, and scoot off to the Skill Point just before or after the fight.

Have you never heard of someone buying a car straight up and then it being defective within say…6 months, and the dealership wants absolutley nothing to do with it? Happens all the time.

Not that i am defending that notion at all. It’s just the principal that paying monthly for something does give you more of an entitlment to recieve the best product.

However when it comes to MMOs, i think people need to realise..this game is huge, its not some rollercoaster FPS where bugs will hardly ever crop up because they are using the samekittenengine from the last 6 games, just rehashing the textures. This was built from the ground up, yes its been in development a long time, but imagine the kinda work that must be done on…for example: a 10 meter area of the game…

I think magic find gear is still allright…to be kept in your bag and put on just before you open a chest. But other than that, its pretty useless now.

Whilst getting a new PC is a good idea, have a good play with the graphics settings until then. If I put my settings on the highest preset, the framerate is a bit too low to be playable. With some tweaks on specific things, it looks pretty much exactly the same but the framerate is playable. I would post exactly what I’ve changed to achieve this but I’m not at my main PC right now.

Slightly related question: How much difference would a PC upgrade make to WvW? That’s the only thing my PC struggles on high settings at the moment, I’m upgrading to something much better soon but should I expect there to be a big improvement or is lag in WvW network related and unavoidable due to the sheer amount of players.

It can vary so much that its hard to out-upgrade it. Even some of the most awesome comps will still chugg if there are 100 players standing infront of you spamming partical effects…plus network can impact the fps a tad. If your going to have a big W3 session, maybe turn your graphics down a little beforehand in order to have the best gameplay.

and a cpu of intel E2220 dual core 2.40ghz

now i have about 25 fps in uncrowded places in medium-high graphics
and 28 fps in the lowest graphics avilable in uncrowded places
( the diffrence is little and weird )
imporving my cpu for like i3 should improve my fps ? or i should improve my videocard
cuz he isn’t so good either, the weird thing is if i do everything on high the diffrence of fps isn’t too high. ( i’m on subsample not supersample in supersample the fps is about 8 )

so anyway my main question is just improving my cpu should improve my fps in atleast 5-10 ?

If i were you bro….scrap it, start again. About 500-600 quid (dont know what that equates to in dollars and kittens but whatev) will get you a decent PC that can max GW2 at a steady 55-60 fps…happy days.

If you havent got the money, upgrade the GPU first as you will probs have to replace the MoBo as well if you changed out the CPU.

I think what he is trying to say is that, imagine if someone walked over and snapped your club in half…half way round the course? (its a bit extreme i know) but the point remains.

I personally couldnt give a kitten if they made us do the dungeons naked with no reward…its a challenge…and a challenge i will accept.

Well played. I’m OK with things taking time, but when you can actively see them expanding on that ammount of time it’s aggravating. I got a full time job and a partimer, I don’t have the time to farm for a few hours a day.

More “Choices” as it were. Please contribute to the conversation rather than just saying: “everything is alright” wait no, you can even say that, but don;t just regurgitate what you hear like a republican bobble head, think, construct, speak.

So what I am seeing by this is “I choose to play the game how I want to, I choose to grind” then turn around and saying “This is to much of a grind I hate it”. Then attempt some political slander….

We are being funneled into a grind slowly, and if you can’t see that than either you are trying hard not to, or just haven’t been paying attention. I was just informed that the reward for completing CoF is now 2 Silver, from 26 Silver. Tell me how that is justified? Now what I am seeing by this is either you are trying to troll, or just simply trying to redirect the conversation. I even stated in the very quote you used that this is an open invitation for us to speak our minds about how we feel about it. Not use subtle (as it LOOKED like you were trying to use sarcasm subtly) but obvious remarks to slander the poster.

just to add in here…if you die from falling damage (suicide) whilst not in combat…for example: doing a jumping puzzle, and you have to return to a waypoint….your armour will not get damaged.

You payed an amount of money for a game….let me just say that again…A ONE OFF PAYMENT…for a KITTEN HUGE GAME.

However what you are after is something a little out of reach. If you haven’t allready i recommend The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, it pretty much covers everything you are looking for in graphics and weather, the only downside is its not an MMO….yet.

Urmmm if you are having trouble playing ranged in dungeons, i dont think you will like playing melee…

I havent played any other dungeon apart from AC, and all i can say is remember the 5D’s of dodgeball…

On a more serious note, burn down the ranged mobs first whilst kiting around melee, if you have any melee in your group, get them on the ranged mob to start, then break off onto the melee mob to save your sweet hiney…and repeat. We have a lot of kiting mechanics as an ele, especially whilst using a staff.

So buy the extra slots. Every post of yours I’ve seen has been whinging about something, Ganadorf. If everything in GW2 is so bad, why are you even playing? Anet needs to make money somehow, because they’re not charging us a sub.

For the majority of players, because the majority of players aren’t altaholics, 5 slots is plenty enough. For the afflicted (yes, I’m one! ) we have to buy a few extra slots. And you know what I’ve done with those extra slots so far? Little more than create the alts. I may never spend another penny in the store; I was happy to buy the extra & support the game. Long before the game came out, I knew full well that there would only be 5 slots. I could have not bought the game because I thought I was being conned. I did buy the game, knowing full well that I would be buying 3 more (reasonably priced) slots. I don’t see what the problem is.

If all you want to do is try out other classes, you can create & delete. If you think you’re genuinely going to play all 8 classes (or 6 or 7), then buying extra slots is not a rip-off. You will get full value for your purchase. Try not being so negative all the time. If there’s another game you’d rather play right now, if there’s another company you think is doing a better job than Anet… why are you here?

You can buy the character slots. The amount of character slots you have, has nothing to do with pay 2 win. That is an absurd conclusion on your side. You can do sPvP at level 80 from start. Don’t like it? Delete it and try again.

And as the others here pointed out you can actually get them with in game gold as well.

My advice: read up before you scream like a 5-year-old.

Now, I never played WoW, but are you telling us that you got 50 character slots included in the price of the sub? That seems unlikely.

Actually that is true…however after paying 10 quid for the base game plus first expac…then another 20 for the other expac…then another 20 for the latest expac plus 9 quid a month….you can understand why they give you as many as you would need.

I dont have any complaints with the GWs system, if i ran out of character slots, i would happily pay a small fee to get some more…the game is worth it…plus i guess all the extra cash Arenanet make, will be pumped back into the game at some point through expansions or patches.

Sure! Maybe there should be some kind of number that says how good your gear is, let’s call it gear score. So when we run dungeons, we can only take the best with us!

But on topic, i wouldn’t mind the option to inspect someones gear, but also i wouldn’t be bothered if they didn’t implement it. Imo, theres nothing worse than some little 12 year old constantly bombarding you with messages about where you aquired a certain piece of gear.
