I agree this kicking needs to STOP. I was at the end boss of the new TA path TWICE and both times I got booted. I have no clue as to why I was either because I was doing everything I could in the fight. It really bothers me you spend over 2 hours in a dungeon only to have all that work wasted.

I have NEVER been booted before, and even with the new LFG tool(which I do love) I have had nothing but good experiences. It has only been on this new content where this has happened but it none the less has got to go or there should be more then 2 votes needed before a kick is done.

This story step just bugged out on me as well. I killed all the risen on the last area after the tower went down, but it just stays stuck with no advancement. I thought at first it was a risen who was stuck in a large rock but i was able to kill him through a ranged weapon able to pass through the rock and to it finally killing it. The story still did not advance. I did not know about killing the krait last before hand, so will try next time. Just wanted to put it out there that it is still capable of bugging out though.

Just had to chime in and say that Iron Marches is still bugged beyond belief right now. The fire shaman event where you have to place the relic weapons/items into the tombs for the heart quest is bugged. The map shows the fire shaman is spawned but he is not there.

The heart quest with warhounds is either not working right, or should be better implemented. Half the time the dogs are just barking at thin air and it could take a very long time before anything spawns to move the heart bar forward.

The witch event is still bugged with the children, where the witch herself is showing as spawned but she is not there.

The heart quest with the ghost loggers is also bugged with loggers not spawning to move the heart quest forward.

Hope these are fixed. I know that these were fixed last week I believe because after the patch last week I was able to complete these events just fine on another character, but once again they are doing the same thing they were doing before.

I think melee is pretty good as is right now, MUCH better then what Anet had it for BWE1

I play a warrior as my main and I think I do pretty good in melee. I usually go with hammer/twin axes/or dual swords. If I’m going up against a champion or elite I usually will go in melee until I start to lose about half health then I dodge roll backwards, switch to rifle, unload a few shots, then go back into melee.

You can play melee just fine but you can’t just stand there and keep taking damage you HAVE to move. Sure some bosses can 1 or 2 shot you no matter how many health points or armor you have, but that isn’t all the time.

Right now at level 60 i have my traits 15 in strength, 15 in tactics, and maxed out in defense. Been working pretty well so far for me in melee.

Another problem with the personal story and your NPC companions is that they do not do any damage practically at all. So, not only do the enemies completely ignore them and always come after you, but whatever extra “help” you get from the companions is nil because they do hardly do anything to the enemies when they hit them.

I think its ironic that some of your companions are either Champs or Legendary and they either die easily or don’t hit for anything.

If horses were in the game we would have countless players asking why they can’t have mounts.

I can’t believe the concept of the Pale Tree being an Elder Dragon. And the comments saying that the Pale Tree tricked the sylvari – an unrelated race – that they’re her children? That’s just silliness at its max. It’s a known, in-lore-observable, fact that the sylvari and sylvan hounds come from the Pale Tree. Unlike Elder Dragons, the Pale Tree creates the sylvari – Elder Dragons corrupt. There’s a mighty big difference.

Everything about the Pale Tree is the very anticedent of the Elder Dragons. So maybe there’s some plant/earth-based Elder Dragon. Okay, very possible. Though I’d prefer a star/sky based Elder Dragon personally. But that’s like arguing Grenth is Zhaitan. They’re not the same as it’s a fact Grenth is younger than Zhaitan, having been around while Zhaitan was hibernating (just as the other gods were – so God=Dragon is definitely false).

It’s possible that the Six Gods and the Elder Dragons have related sources of energy – I hope that’s not the case as it just ruins who the Six are even more, and I don’t think it is or that evidence points to such (at least on a 1 to 1 scale), but it’s possible.

At best, in any god to dragon relation, it’s that the Six Gods tampered with Zhaitan’s magic – much like how the asura did with Primordus. You can start creating parallels between the powers between the gods, but you eventually falter. Primordus and Balthazar, the DSD and Abaddon (god of water prior to his fall), this supposed plant-based dragon and Melandru… but then it gets tricky. There is then no sky dragon, so it must be life for Dwayna, and the closest to that is Zhaitan, who fits more with Grenth and death. Jormag has mental corruption powers, but has ice, so in terms of how he corrupts he fits Lyssa more, but in what his element is he fits Grenth more. Then there’s Kralkatorrik, which some would argue – probably solely due to color schematics – that Kralkatorrik best fits Lyssa, though there’s nothing mesmeric about him at all. Which comes to another issue – there’s nothing monk-like about Zhaitan so he doesn’t fit Dwayna really. Thus you’re left with Dwayna without a dragon, and Grenth with one. Though if you go by original gods, then it’d be Dhuum in which case Jormag doesn’t fit (Dhuum’s never related to ice).

So then you have Dwayna being dragonless, and either Jormag or Kralkatorrik (depending on which you’d relate to Lyssa) being godless. And Dwayna doesn’t fit either. It just falls apart unless there’s a seventh god and seventh dragon.

So I would argue that the number 6 is likely just a favorite number on ArenaNet’s part, rather than some divine conspiracy (pun intended).

When I said I liked Hero’s version of the story its just that, a VERSION. I know that Anet did not intend the Pale Tree or Sylvari to be made out like that, what I was saying was that I think it was a really cool IDEA if they went that route.

Problem is too many people get too deep into the lore of a game/book/tv series and they will get very upset or offended if the creators change it too much beyond what they already like of the lore.

So ya, I seriously doubt Anet has done it that way or will, just thought it was a cool concept.

I think Logan was spineless coward and got to involved with his emotions. The fact of the matter is plain and simple. DE was fighting Kralkatorrik then and there and had a chance to KILL the dragon. If he stayed, the dragon more then likely would have been destroyed and that would be one less ED to deal with. With him running off, the ED was able to beat them and escape to spread its corruption.

Jennah wasn’t even in any immediate danger anyway, and even if she did die she is only one among countless government type officials, its not like there would not have been others who would have her same views and opinions and could have taken her place and carried on what she wanted to do.

Since this seems to be a rather hot topic right now based on the amount of threads I’m seeing on it, (also having created a thread about this myself on the Shatterer) I’m sure Anet is taking all this information into consideration. If I’m not mistaken I believe someone from Anet posted they are going to look into these issues at some point.

Although longbow is much better in terms of AOE if your talking a single target to kill from range rifle all the way. Kill shot does ridiculous damage at full adrenalin level.

Not sure if you noticed or not OP but Quaggans DO have sharp teeth. They are really pronounced when you talk to a Quaggan during the cut scenes in the personal story.

What you are seeing is the result of all those compromised accounts now catching up with the botters having some time to exploit the game and make money to spam their trade. I always report them as soon as I see them in chat so that those compromised accounts can be blocked and worked on to be given back to their rightful owners.

The F2 skill I will say is better then before, but there is still a delay and I think this may be due to the pet having to finish a combat animation before the F2 skill fires because it too has its own combat animation. Maybe canceling the animation or clipping it and making the F2 skill priority will make it better?

Ranger pet names do NOT stay. I have posted this before but i’ll try to explain it. If I place a name on say a bear and then change the bear to a wolf under pet management the name resets back to “juvenile blah blah blah animal” the names WILL stay if I just use the pet swap option between the current active pets.

I know this isn’t a big issue what with all the skills and traits needing fixing, but its a bummer if I come up with a great name for the pet only to have it vanish and then having to try and remember it again.

I know in some cases you can create a dummy account. Might want to try that and just include of the information on the ticket along with the original ticket information, or wait for the admin here to see this.

I have been attempting to aid my girlfriend’s father get back his account because he cannot post or do anything since they changed his e-mail address. I PAID FOR the game for him and I was the one who setup his account. I can provide all my billing information and details to support, but what is the response I get back after 5 days?

Tyrians will learn the horryfing truth that the dragons weren’t trying to destroy tyria, they were trying to destroy the Pale Tree all along and since we allied with her, they took us for enemies, this is all a big misunderstood.

We now are at the edge of the cliff, and when things are about to end for humanity, the six return and give us for a brief moment all the magic we could ever ask for and together we shall destroy the imprison the Pale Tree, then the six remove our powers and we move one.

This is a VERY good plot device and I sure wouldn’t have saw this at all. How shocking would this be if say, within a few years after a few expansions that the Pale Tree is revealed as the TRUE big bad guy and we just destroyed all the dragons who were suppose to keep her in check? Very cool theory…

The Sylvari would NOT be ruined. They would still be who they are/were but would have been “duped” into believing the Pale Tree was for the greater good. There are ways to work in the Sylvari and Nightmare Court into that plot twist without ruining them you know.

I never did like Cantha because it didn’t feel original by the creative team because they just basically copied Asian themes. It would be cool if they completely revamped and changed Cantha to something more original. Maybe say, one of the elder dragons completely corrupts it by the time we get there to explore.

I wanted to update this thread because the hacker is on my gf’s dad’s account RIGHT NOW and moved over to a FRENCH server!
Can you catch them red handed now?

*Crafting bags-A spot in your inventory that allows storage for JUST crafting materials. Its annoying having noodles, icing, dressing, etc taking up bag space and I have no more room in my bank to put them!

*Allow trading among players with regular trade windows

*Fix the ranger pet names not staying after you name them.

*Ramp up difficulty or make the bigger Dynamic Event encounters more interesting like the Shatterer and Shadow Behemeth. Right now they are pretty easy to beat.

*Send an e-mail notification to a Guild Master that their upgrades are finished.

Just a few things off the top of my head.

Have you tried going to one of the trading post NPCs and using the “pick up” feature from them?

Considering Liz Bathory is over 500 years old is it even still relevant to today’s society and culture? Most people who don’t know history probably haven’t heard of her.

I would also support a server only LFG tool like a Dungeon Finder in WOW. Across all servers no, but your server? Yes def.

Sorry i just had to say that is an awesome name. The legend of Elizabeth Bathory has always fascinated me. The band Bathory is pretty cool too :P

Not all events are a faceroll, but there a many that should be made harder. The giant encounters are nastyyyyy and fun because those guys hit like tanks. But events like the Shatterer look visually great but are just cakewalks because you can stay well away from him and either range/AOE him down.

“As it is, it is a visually stunning even but you have to out of your way to take damage…” You took the words out of my mouth Blaeys. I agree with your thoughts, adding more adds or even AOE exploding crystals all around the battlefield in random patterns would make it more of a challenge.

Or Anet can add more variation or abilities to the mobs/bosses in events to make it harder. There was a champion centaur event somewhere in the Harathi Highlands that was pretty challenging because he used a number of different abilities and even if you tried to hit him from range he summoned these small tornados that would knock down and had a nasty AOE.

Some other events that SHOULD be challenging like the Shatterer for example, which I posted about already, is fun but far too easy to beat.

I just would like to say that I AM having a blast with GW2 and love the game. However, one of the main reasons why I became so interested in this game was seeing the demo footage of the Shatterer way back in 2010.

I finally was able to fight the Shatterer on Sunday afternoon, and even though the event and the Shatterer itself was a LOT of fun and impressive, it was a let down in terms of how easy it was to complete and the difficulty just wasn’t there.

Anyway this epic boss can be adjusted and made harder? It would be a lot more fun!

What browser are you using? Try a different browser and see if that works. I remember seeing somewhere that some people got it working with different browsers.

Not sure if this has been brought up or posted, but with the slew of account hacks and other issues going on lately, I want to ensure I’m going to be ready if this every happens to me. I would like to know how I can go about reacquiring my serial code because the e-mail I got when I pre-purchased way back in April was accidently deleted and its gone. is there ANY way we can reacquire our serial numbers?

I just would like to add that even though this is not happening to me, I find it pretty bad that you guys lock out the doors for customers who have done nothing wrong and had their accounts compromised. How is the individual hacked suppose to contact you when you lock them out of the game AND the support account online?
Hope this is resolved!

Most of these pet and ranger issues is what is keeping me away from playing my ranger more often. Until these issues on this thread is fixed, i’ll stick with my guardian and warrior.
