Hiya. So…I left my old guild because it was becomming inactive and not very helpful (ask a question or for help in guild chat and get…silence).
I play pretty casually, and honestly haven’t really experienced very much in the game (I’ve never beaten the story, never did a Dungeon or Fractal, and I’ve been playing for over a year), and I’d like to change that. I need a friendly guild that’s helpful and willing to teach/show me, and won’t scream at me for everything. xD I mostly play Guardian, but I also have a Necro. I’m not really picky with what I’m looking for…as long as it’s friendly and doesn’t have favoritism/guild cliques.
It gets boring playing in silence all the time. >.<

Oh so your the guy who is always in front of the bank jumping around running in circles, you do a very good job, but you should really learn a instrument like the HORN!
Hah! Indeed. xD

1. Add some traditional “!” quests with fun/unique quest rewards.
2. Give legendary weapons backstories/lore to make them feel more legendary (dunno what can be done for the unicorn launcher though). Also make them un-tradeable in the marketplace.
3. Stop PvE and PvP from affecting each others’ balance adjustments (seperate em).
4. Add Guild Halls.
5. Alter the marketplace to be more easy to use. Add more sorting options, etc.
6. Change the final personal story chapter to remove the forced group pre-dungeon part. A personal story shouldn’t require a LFG.
7. Make town clothes into “costumes”, and make them work how they did in GW1. You still keep your armor and gear, but the costume goes into its own slot and is what shows on your character. Add many more costume options. Make some of them attainable only by in-game accomplishments.

Wander around Lion’s Arch a bit.
Jump up and down randomly, and/or run in circles.
Log off.

Whats difference of Hylek and Heket? o.O
Hylek are decended from the heket.
“The hylek are wide-mouthed frogmen with lashing tongues and are descendants from the heket species of Elona.”
I’d love to play as a Tengu….but not gonna hold my breath.

Yes, I solo almost anything. Stuff that can’t be solo’d…I never bother with. It’s just how I play. I join in on zergs and stuff but in that case the other players seem more like NPCs anyway, lol.

Very cool. Got the Wind Kite. Thanks!

30/50 wouldn’t be TOO bad. 50/50 would take a lot of work and dedication.
GW1 is not harder now than it used to be. It’s far easier than it was at it’s release. 7 heros make ALMOST everything a cakewalk (can watch TV while the heros do the work). It isn’t the difficulty that’s the problem, it’s the amount of TIME you have to invest for some of the titles….like vanquishing every area. That’s not something you’re gonna accomplish in a few days.

So remove the points from both. I’m drawing benefit from having daily points, and I’m fine with their removal.
I couldnt care less if the HoM points didn’t count towards the leaderboards. As I’m (mostly) sure MOST GW1 players wouldn’t care. Would be reasonable.

I’ve read those threads. Basically they boil down to:
Guild Wars 1 players got an extra chest for playing a different game and I didn’t.
Maybe, just maybe, that’s not fair to people earning achievement points in this game for rewards in this game.
I deserve those 500 extra points (and really I should have gotten 1000 points)
No you don’t.
Yes, I do.
You don’t.

I do.One of the least productive set of threads I can ever recall reading.
You forgot how it all started, so I fixed your quote. =p
50/50 HoM and GWAMM title here.
Didn’t need it corrected. Thanks anyway.
Corrected your correction
It would be correct if the arguments were even about the chest. =p Pretty sure they are about the “leaderboard”.
Ironic part is that you’re the only one arguing every single post in both threads. =p
The pathetic part is that if you had half a mind to actually read the threads, you’d see that that is a blatant inaccuracy, exaggerated by yourself in an attempt to discredit me because you have no argument.
Try harder.
Was that not an argument? You’re right though. I DON’T have an argument. I’m fine with how things are. These threads just amuse me.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
Oh lord, another person arguing in favor of the AP, most likely going to cause the argument to resurface here. You people just never learn. Gotta get that last word, don’t you?
Ironic part is that you’re the only one arguing every single post in both threads. =p

I’ve read those threads. Basically they boil down to:
GW1 players earned something I didn’t. I don’t feel like going to earn them myself, so they should be taken back from those who did.
I deserve those 500 extra points (and really I should have gotten 1000 points)
No you don’t.

The name I originally wanted, as well as my “backup” name were both snagged up within 20 minute’s of launch. I thought they were pretty original names. It wouldn’t normally bother me much. What DOES bug me is that neither has barely been logged onto since…and I could be putting them to use.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
At least for me it’s time for new professions and level cap increase.
I fail to see the point of a level cap increase in GW2. Everyone will just craft for 20 minutes and be at the new max, then be complaining of boredom again.

I played EQ2 for years and SOE never tied any part of EQ1 to EQ2.
This isn’t EQ. GW2 was always tied to GW1.

I have a friend who I would compete with for achievement point earning. It’s no longer a competition when someone gets handed the victory on a HoM-engraved silver platter.
You can just not count HoM points between you and your friend?

GUILD WARS 1
GUILD WARS 2
I am quite aware that they are 2 completely different and isolated games, thank you very much.
Except that they aren’t isolated. They’ve been linked since day one.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
I don’t care. They don’t show anything besides who grinds the most and has the most free time anyway.
I imagine COMPLETELY resetting them (like a ‘season’) might fix the issue (not the points, JUST the leaderboards), then everyone could be “grind competitive”, even those that “can’t catch up” because they don’t wanna play GW1, or didn’t grind 16 hours a day for the past 6 months.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
Having a “leaderboard” for something like achievement points was a silly idea in the first place. There’s nothing “competative” about it…it just shows who grinded the most the past few months. I personally don’t care…at all…about the leaderboards. I DO care about getting a nice boost towards the AP rewards though.
Maybe they should completely reset the leaderboard (not players’ points…JUST the leaderboard), so it’d be fair for EVERYBODY that wants to be “grind competative”.

Never pay in advance or send the coin first. You won’t get “scammed”.

Thing is Vayne, there are plenty of Guilds (even in GW1) that claim “We do it all!” then when you join and chat to your inviter for a while then………………all communication goes dead. I don’t think it’s the fault of the actual Guild and members though, they are just doing what they want to do. There are cracking Guilds that are constantly active but there are many that just want numbers.
This exactly. There are plenty of random guilds and joining one would be easy. Finding a GOOD one that does all the things they claim to do (no favoritism, no group requirements, guild activities, etc etc)…a whole ’nother story.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
I play alone. I dont hate guilds or anything. I’d like to be in one, but memories of favoritism, internal drama, and people joining, begging for stuff, and hopping kinda have me shy to seriously look for one. I WOULD like to be in a good one though.

1. Lack of “fun” drops. Nothing really epic or shiny really drops. Precursores are pretty much it…but…I’ll never see one. The loot in general just feels very boring compared to other games.
2. PvP balance that screws up PvE builds. Feels like Deja Vu of early GW1.
3. Culling. It’s annoying…especially in PvE.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
I want a mini practice dummy now. Preferably obtained as a very rare chance from an RNG gamble box.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
That is very sad to hear. I don’t know you, but I hope everything works out.
I WOULD be extremely curious as to which conditions you have specifically, since you only mentioned “two heart conditions” pretty vaguely.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
Perhaps there ARE many more trees, but we can’t see them due to culling issues! =D
…but I prefer the deforestation theory.. >.>
I need a good guild. Q_Q
um the term imbagon comes from paragons being overpowered in gw1.
Jus saiyan.
Wrong. The term “Imbagon” was the name of the one and only meta build they had in PvE. Not because Paragons in general were overpowered (they definitely weren’t).
With how things seem to be going, my guess would be on Ranger as well.

I’ve played pretty much only Ranger since release. Been patiently hoping for tweaks and improvements to my class. Now my favorite pets are nerfed into the ground, and my weapon can now only shoot arrows as far as I can throw axes. (either I have strong arms or a heck of a weak bow). Raging….naw. Sorely disappointed…yes. Can I have a free profession change so I can switch my character to one Anet isn’t trying to kill? =\
I need a good guild. Q_Q
no they dont play the game very much anymore…if they did…they wouldnt have nerfed rangers as much..
honestly they need a developer for playing every class in the game, and not just learning one build either, they need to use every single weapon, trait, skill, elite etc etc…and then and only then decide what needs to be fixed!
And they need to play more than sPvP.

I agree with the OP there there should be better privacy options. Naturally people that keep to themselves, play by themselves, or have never had any of these issues come up will find it silly or unnecessary. But those that have been through it can say that it is annoying, it ruins the fun of the game, and it can get downright creepy/scary. I love whoever wrote this:
The constant pressure of knowing you have no privacy from someone can be very stressful. If someone in game has the ability to constantly remind you that they’re forcing themselves into your life, and that your only recourse is to stop playing, it can be very hard to deal with.
It can also be hard for those who find themselves in bullying situations. It can be psychologically stressful to know that a person/people can essentially find, and follow you in-game.
It sums it up exactly. My ex happens to play GW2 as well, and he makes it a point to let me know hes there, he can find me, and he isn’t going anywhere. Sure, I can “pick up another copy of GW2”…if I can scrape up an extra $50 that would otherwise go towards my student expenses, and throw away all my progress on this account, as well as the GW1 account it is linked to. But why should I have to do that when the fix is an easy one? Sure I can block him so he can’t send me messages, but that doesn’t stop him from knowing exactly where I am at any time. Making yourself invisable to those you block, and making friending be a mutual aggreement would fix ALL my issues. I can go to a new server and the issue would be gone. People like that can’t really be reported since they aren’t clearly breaking any rules. Support would just tell us to add them to ignore, and we’re back to square one.
Short version…I agree with the OP totally.

The event was a huge letdown. I’ve been an Anet fangirl for years…so it’s painful for me to have to say that. But it was just bad. PLEASE reconsider how to go about it, before having another event like this one.
It should have been week long, instead of 3 days…plain and simple. This would have given more time to iron out the many issues, as well as let more people take part in it who weren’t able to for whatever reason.
Day one, for the intro event…there was so much lag, terrible framarates, and invisable foes that it was the farthest possible thing from “fun”. With tab+1+repeat I somehow managed to achieve Bronze for it. I’m not sure why you STILL insist on cramming the entire population of a server into one little confined space. If you intend to keep doing it that way, please give an option to hide other players’ spell effects, or other players alltogether. This would make it more managable for those with less than average gaming PCs. The server lag I understand is more complicated to solve…but if you’re gonna keep doing things this way…it needs to be solved.
FInale event…I intended to take part in it with my friend. TWO MINUTES before the event started, he got disconnected and kicked into an overflow. When he tried to rejoin me, he got a message that my server was full. When I tried to join him…I got a message that his server was full…screwed. The event itself had much less lag and FPS issues than Friday’s. But then I have to comment on the event itself. I would not consider it “epic”…more like “frustratingly drawn out”. Everybody fights for a while…everybody gets one-shotted…everybody resses…repeat for three hours. By the time it ended it was a crowd of worn out players fighting in their underwear because everyones’ gear was broken. I died just before the event finished, and had to beg for a res, since I was off to the side. LUCKILY someone was kind enough to come over and get me while everyone else was busy drooling over their loot.
Overall I’d say it was hyped up more than it was worth. The IDEA of it, the hints and tidbits leading up to it, the new area design…all were fantastic. The event itself and the way it was executed…not as good.

I’d LOVE to have them back, especially FoW. Some of my earliest “good” GW1 memories came from exploring down there.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
They added these features in GW1 for a fee, so I definitely feel they willa dd them to GW2 at some point.
I need a good guild. Q_Q
Yeah, I just report/block.
The ones that really annoy me are the in-game mails. The fact they have the gall to add “sorry for take your time” in them just annoys me even more. -_-

All of our characters will start to have cholesterol-induced heart attacks. =\
I need a good guild. Q_Q
Yeah, I noticed it too. I’ve had people take the time to practically hold my hand and guide me to vistas, stop and help me kill a veteran I was having trouble with, and seeming go off their path to stop and res me. I’ve also noticed the “silent companionship” that someone else mentioned in the thread…teaming up and fighting side by side through a cave without saying a word, then going our own ways when we get to the other side. It’s a nice experience.
That said, there are still the “grrr” moments…someone running past me with a train of centaurs at their heels, which turn to me and my pet as they continue on their merry way, rezzing me halfway then stopping and leaving, etc.
