Started act 1 at level 2, finished act 2 at level 4. Died quite a few times (10ish) but made sure I got the waypoints along the way. Waited for others and followed them in. Only difficult part was sparkfly fen and bloodtide coast.
Melee at those levels are for the most part easy to avoid, its the ranged you really need to pay attention to. Utilizing evade and mobility you will be fine.
As you can see, I didn’t even need speed from my warhorn: http://i.imgur.com/7UnWJ.jpg
If you want this and you’re low level, go get it imo. It’ll last you until your 80 personal story.

Level 68-80 rare items give 0 to 3 ecto, exotics give 0 to 5 ecto. Salvaging exotics is useful when the rune or sigil is the same price or higher than the item itself and getting additional ecto further increases profit.

The wiki is not always accurate though.
Master Salvage Kit is 25% chance, costs 15 silver
Black Lion Salvage Kit is 50% chance, costs 300 gems.
All of these threads should be collectively put into one discussion/feedback thread instead of having 20 of them per page. It’s getting out of hand, let’s get organized.
Very cool cutscene. The only issue here is the endless amount of whiners. Either way, nice job ArenaNet.
Try to get a step ahead of everyone else right as the puzzle starts and it’s a lot easier. You could also wait half a second for everyone to pass you too. Putting a marker on you another option. If all else fails, try completely exiting back to Lions Arch and enter again. With any luck you’ll have better odds.
Looks pretty awesome, nice work. How long did it take you?
Might be latency related but it also seems likely that there is an issue with jumping too soon. Try waiting a tad bit longer and then jump inside the tower. This worked for someone else.
I’ve tried the orb and the jewel, neither work. I don’t want to transmute it either.
Unable to put upgrades in the book =/
Transmutation – Agreed, I should be able to use skins I’ve already acquired.
Crafting – One more option for getting max gear, and/or gain 10 levels per craft. Not useless.
Currencies – Gives the player more options to explore. Not useless.
Armor rarity – You shouldn’t try so hard.
Magic find armor – Should be removed from the game.
Combat system –
Using custom abilities would be nice.
Some traits need adjustments. This goes for any game.
Never had an issue getting aggro. Learn the mechanic.
Nothing wrong with having to change skills. Variety is always welcomed.
Spell Queues – Agreed, abilities should have the option to be queued.
Dungeons – Agreed, many dungeons just aren’t challenging. Increasing hit points only makes it a borefest.
Regardless of what you’ve read or heard that states otherwise, being in a group most definitely helps your chances of receiving loot when you tag the same mobs. Which effectively makes better use of magic find. The more loot you receive, the better your odds are at finding higher quality items.
You’ll see immediate results doing so. Just make sure that you are tagging the same mobs as your party members.

5% listing fee 10% tax?
Just relax and wait. This is only Act 1 with much more to come. Regardless, save the Halloween materials and craft the item at your own convenience. It’s not complicated and gives you a goal to aim for when you have nothing better to do.
It’s unfortunate that exploiting is so readily accessible to anyone with knowledge on how to use Google. It’s up to ArenaNet to address the issues in the client allowing these exploits.
Regardless, I’m very pleased with the recent changes to DR and with some additional tweaks I believe it’ll be acceptable to a majority.

When people spend money, they expect a fair chance at something equal in value to their time spent. It’s life – it’ll forever remain this way. It’s what angers people the most.
Lesson learned – never buy anything that’s not guaranteed or does not explicitly state your chances.
My PvP Glory Boosters don’t work. When it says ‘any’ booster, they should all work.
What would be interesting is if achievement points became a currency, granted a few of the above methods are changed. Seeing achievement points used for waypoints, gathering supplies or guild influence points would be neat. Just an idea.
Very nice work. How many hours did it take you? Any areas you’ve explored that just stick out? I’m looking for more ways to enjoy the game. Haven’t had so much fun since the release of DAoC.
Find a video guide on YouTube, complete it in under 30 minutes. I know it takes the fun away, but at least you’ll have it completed.
It’s impossible to please everyone. I think the skins look awesome. It’s pretty simple, if you don’t like it, find something else to use.
I’m being the jerk by calling him foolish when he’s raging at people? Hardly.
over 7,600 files. very nice! anxiously awaiting patch notes now
There’s a lot of bland looking armor. I was disappointed for a while until I found some decent ones. Everyone’s opinion is different on what looks good, but this atm is what I like

What part of ‘that zone’ includes or implies the rest of the game? None. Reading comprehension is fun.
I’ve only briefly read the thread, though excluding solo play, this is how I farm:
Farm the northern events in Cursed Shore with a full group. Assist mobs (AOE counts), be sure to hit them at least twice. Get loot for nearly every mob.
It’s nothing to brag about, but I looted 24 rares (43 Globs) in 6 hours, that’s excluding materials and coin. I’m sure it could be lower or higher, no argument there. I never hit DR. There was quite a bit of downtime from events respawning and being AFK often.
Groups are worth it, and more people are taking notice of this.
30, been playing MMOs for 13 years. Coming from DAoC, I’m disappointed with the simplicity of the PvP system. Unfortunately a steep learning curve turns away new players and I’ve learned to accept that.
Following that I’ve had an extreme amount of fun in this game. It’ll keep my attention for many months to come.
Great post. I remember my first MMO. It held my interest for 10 years.
Should ArenaNet implement a system to reset events after a certain period of inactivity, it would address many issues where specific content is not always available.
Overall, great work ArenaNet.
