Play the engi OP. The class is worth playing in 2017. The condi build is pretty strong.

the best runes for condi Engi are the berserker ones. Sadly they’re also the most expensive ones.

Hi there,
I have a fully geared chronomancer with ascended stuff and my question is what’s would be the best armor choice other than Minstrel? Minstrel is great but way too expensive for me. Is there other alternative that’s just as good? Like Commanders maybe?
And my other question is about the runes. The Leadership ones are sadly not that easy to get .. I will get them eventually but it will take some time. What’s the 2nd best alternative to get 100% boon duration? I’ve done some research on this topic and people are saying dif things.

for general PvE you can play with whatever you want .. but if you want to do high level fractals and raids you’d need a better build than the one you’re using right now.
I’d recommend you to play a condi necro with Viper armor.

you could always check metabattle for builds, guides, etc just to get some ideas.

It’s too difficult. Changing race would have to change story and any cultural outfits you have. And also, considering the price of such a thing in gems of a total makeover kit + name change contract (in case you want to keep name lore-friendly) + extra for changing actual race, it’d probably end up cheaper just to buy a new character slot.

Reset story, problem solved. I’m sure if someone really wants to change their race, reseting their story would be least of their worries. It’s simple, they just need to put in description “Warning, your story will be reset and you’ll have to do it again. You will also lose x and y items”. Every player can decide if it’s worth it for them, before they buy. Cultural armor? We have skins in wardrobe. Why would we lose cultural armor just because we would change race? We bought that armor with gold that we earned by playing the game, we didn’t earn cultural armor by doing story of certain race. You can buy charrs’ cultural armor when you play as human if you want.

They said resetting the story is a big deal that leads to multiple bugs, so it’s not something they’ll lightly do. Source

Is the best general setup. You get more out of the BM traits I picked for you by far. Basically everything on the right side of your skill bar can be changed on your situation, Flesh Golem is also a good elite pick. Chilled to the Bone I wouldn’t take, but if you enjoy it you can use it against trash mobs when you know there’s not going to be a (mini-)boss encounter for a while, wouldn’t be too bad.

Engi is really fun, not as hard to learn as eles (because you dont need to switch elements), but very VERY powerful. My main is Ele, but since HoT came out Engis and Necro have become my go to.

Not as hard as Ele? No switching? Dude, you could have like 20ish skills to use. (Flamethrower, granades, bombs, etc) you basically have to be a master pianist to play this class right. I’m not saying eles easy of course ::) but to OP yes, it is hard to play if you want to do maximum damage. The Engis are extremely fun to play

I was wondering if any of you are using a torment condition build? or do you know if any successful builds out there? I took a really long break from the game and once I logged in I noticed I have 6x Superior Runes of Tormenting I’d like to put them in use.

MM not being effective?! Thats so false. With my healing MM build I can pretty much solo the whole map without any problems. Anyway, necros are fantastic at AoE damage.. you just have to learn to play the conditionmancer (and Epidemic skill) right.

I strongly recommend the Flesh Golem as an Elite especially if you going solo.

hell no. no more melee weapons. All I want is a torch, axe (off hand) and a shield.
I have the feeling that half of you want a GS or a hammer just because they look cool.

The new condition could be something that doubles/tripples the effectiveness to the already applied conditions for 3,4,5.. secs. When the condition ends the all the conditions are removed.

its penalty should be the player loses all of the remaining Life force.

the 5th DS skill should be something like … the necro loses the remaining life force and become condition invulnerable for the % LF lost. 20% LF = 1 sec cond. inv.
