i think they should buff sPvP confusion to the same levels as PvE and WvW.
confusion needs to deal a lot of damage so that it is a threat.
you need to make an active choice in combat. do i wait out confusion or do i risk action?
without the damage to give confusion teeth it will be a useless condition.
dying from confusion because you “were not paying attention” is never what anything should be nerfed for.
you already have to build pretty heavily to make it threatening – maybe buff other options to give Mesmer more viable builds?
weapon swapping is a core mechanic in GW2.
when i started, i too was very resistant to the idea of swapping weapons.
if you see any value trying to master a game and develop as much skill in it as possible, you will need to incorporate weapon swapping.
there is no reason for confusion to be nerfed.
it is already balanced by the fact that it does zero damage by itself. it requires the participation of your victim to do anything.
it seems stupid to ask for nerfs on something that can already be completely mitigated by doing nothing.
i would rather have Arenanet buff player alertness.
there should be no cap on any AoE skill.
why?
because it would punish mindless zergs and reward thoughtful WvW tactics. and i do not think having no-cap-AoEs would have much effect in PvE because the majority of the time you are fighting a smaller number of enemies.
AoEs already have a limit.
their cast size.
if 100 people are clumped in such a small space they deserve to all get hit.
and beneficial AoEs should also have no cap because then you get risk vs reward.
“can we provide a benefit to our large group or will their AoE damage destroy us?” (and again, its already limited by the size of the spell)

these are all far too drastic suggestions/changes.
if you play Warrior in a way that renders banners less viable then it sounds more like you need to rethink the way you are using a banner Warrior instead of requiring banners to be changed to fit how you play.
my potential feedback on banners:
1) maybe you summon it into your hands, instead of needing to pick it up initially?
2) more variety in skills, instead of a banner-specific one and a bunch of clones?
3) holding the banner (vs planted banner) gives some additional/stronger party buff?
4) buffs give more benefit to allies than the banner holder/creator?
5) fix Banner of Tactics 2 skill?
i find i can often revitalize my waning interest in a profession by trying a new build and new utilities/weapons.
sometimes you just have to find the right combination of things to make it feel right and fun.
Engineer is the only profession that i have played that i feel it is over when i get downed in PvE.
No other profession feels this hopeless in downed while PvEing.
Thief is my highest, but not yet 80 because i keep stopping and rolling alts to try to find what i am missing.
i love the idea of Thief, but i think the Initiative system is the problem. Because of it none of our attacks can be good because we could just spam them, so all our attacks are ok .
i love that Stealth a limited tool, but the issues with the servers or hardware of whatever make it not work correctly and those that abuse it are in Stealth longer than intended, causing fixes to other changeable areas.
i want to like Thief more, and for a moment i do, but it does not take long for me to be wishing it was something else and shelving her.
i never understand why any MMO makes non-gear-scaling pets.
go into sPvP lobby and use the sPvP storage to preview all the medium armor in the game and find a look you like.
can we also fix it so that whenever i am not actively firing, i am not holding my pistol with this awkward limp wrist?
would rather have Wrench redesigned to fit the niche that something like Hammer or Mace would fit.
i think there are other factors that make the clone bad at providing you camouflage.
:P
woops, i meant my other weapon set (offset?? what do you call it?)
want to have some AoE to fall back on when i need it.
is a Great Sword as my secondary weapon the best option?
Mesmer seems kind of light in the AoE department.
am i missing something obvious?
edit: to fix using the wrong word, cant fix title though >.<

clones should do at least a minimum of 1 damage at all levels imo
not related to shattering – it would be cool if clone ai had them kite a little or dodge roll some attacks, so its less obvious which is the real mesmer.
(and while we are at it, if you put a mark on the mesmer it should make all clones at same time)
how do you unlock the ability to use Wands?
i have never seen that weapon…
Shadow Arts VIII: Hidden Thief - broken? or am i doing something wrong?

Turned off Mug but it was still happening.
It attacks and immediately breaks stealth when Stealing but it is not even the stealth attack for ‘1’.
It is stealthing because the graphic happens (briefly) and you get the cooldown debuff.
And as i had mentioned, i previously turned on and off all the combinations of combat options with no change.

“Stealing grants you 2 seconds of stealth.”
I was aiming for this Thief trait early on, but i have had mixed outcomes with using it.
About 75% (or more) of the time i use it i will ‘auto’-attack after using Steal, immediately breaking stealth.
It has kept me in stealth a few times, but i am not sure if its something i am doing wrong.
I tried adjusting a bunch of the combat options but none of them seemed to increase the chance that this trait would function properly (or at least properly in the way i imagined it should work, i.e. being stealthed after using Steal)
I am not sure if i am doing something wrong or if maybe the trait is bugged and this is happening to other people.
Does the damage from Mug break it? (and if so, that seems like a broken synergy)
This is my current build (low 50s)
(now that i think of it, i have only ever tested Hidden Thief in PvE)
Thanks for any feedback.
