I know Zerker is the standard answer, but I’ve had a great experience with Soldiers/brawler. Taking 6/6/-whatevers-good-at-the-time with heal kit/bomb/nade/elixer r/supply and my trusty rifle.
With Zerker I found I was dropping all the time. Getting one shotted, or drawing massive aggro and not being able to take any hits. With soldier/brawler you get all that delicious delicious toughness. Doing dungeons with the finder, I find I’m often the last man standing during encounters that go awry, unless I luck out and get a good guardian on the team.
I’m prepared to admit that I suck, and that’s why I can’t get zerker working for me. I dodge like a madman, even using elixer r to gain that extra endurance.
Moto!
The genius inventor of the Super Adventure Box, a device that uses various technobabble words to create a virtual reality experience. SAB box focuses on “Edutainment,” education and entertainment in the form of an adventure game.
Why not use this technology to make a box that recreates historical moments from the past to archive and study? The Priory could commission or conscript Moto to make it. It would also be a reason that the events are slightly different (scaled for a party of 5), as it is based off the experiences and memories of the people who were involved.
This would allow players who missed out on some of the Living Story content to go back and catch up, or just relive some favorite moments.
I love this idea! My GF and I started playing together at launch, but she started school around the time Flame/Frost began. I stuck with the story, but she didn’t have as much time to play. She dropped in whenever she could, but she didn’t know any of the characters or what was going on so she lost interest in the overarching story. Her biggest gripe has been that there’s no way to go back and experience the single player missions that explain what’s been going on, or even re-watch the cut scenes. I can’t find anyone who’s put together anything comprehensive on Youtube either.
She’s read the wiki article, but it lacks the flair that the in-game scenes, or even the motion comic cutscenes have, and doesn’t really let you know the characters like the scenes do.
There’s actually a topic for this. A huuuuge perpetually ignored thread.

That made me smile, then it occurred to me that Quaggans are sentient.
I’ll throw my hat in here as another person who uses Linux daily, and only goes to Windows for gaming. Specifically Guild Wars 2. I’ve tried running it under POL, but since I’m on Ubuntu 13.04 it has a lot more problems than running under 12.10. Maybe 13.10 will help, but I’m doubtful. It sucks that this one game that I play more often than any other makes me have to reboot my machine in order to play it.
I know ANet is a small team and, and you guys are working hard at bringing new content to us every two weeks, but I’d really really like a native linux client.
I PvE mostly and I’ve found using Rocket Boots as my “GTFO” button works ok, but not great. I’ve recently started using Flamethrower/Rifle and I’ve found that using Airblast, Personal Battering Ram, Net Shot and Overcharged Shot I can control the mobs mobility in combat better than I can control mine.
I had someone yell at me because I defended an NPC he was farming for “Healer”. That was pretty disheartening.
Personally i would of told him not so politely to go jump of a bridge and revive himself :P
I didn’t even know what to say. I stood there for a minute, he was dragging ice elementals over to the npc and standing next to her so they would AOE and hit her, she’d aggro and they’d kill her. Then he’d rez, and start again. It took a long, long time. I just left him to it.
You’ll be happily running the game in medium. If you drop the resolution you could probably pop in some eye candy, post processing etc. But that will definitely get you through the day.

Wow, so, I was super excited for this game, I played beta and I play every time I get a chance.
179 hours. 169 on my main. You people scare me O.o
I wish I had more time.
I don’t understand. I thought we all knew what we were getting into with this game. They advertised sPVP and WvW and they were exactly as advertised. PvE has so many little dark corners that have interesting content to find, I’m not sure I’ll ever find them all. Like that pirate ghost cave, that took me totally unaware!
My questions are, what exactly were you expecting, and how can they improve the game so you would stay?
I’ll add my “ME TOO” for a Quaggan plushie.
Hello,
For the past few days, I’ve been having some trouble with the guild system. It started when my guild bought the guild stash, and I couldn’t access it, it said I was not in a guild even though I’m representing my guild as leader. The day before yesterday I joined a new guild, and started representing that one for a few hours, then switched back to my original guild. Since then I can’t stop representing my current guild, clicking the represent button makes a clicking noise and does nothing.
Thanks.
So now that the newmatchups have happened, how badly is night capping wrecking your server?

Well last night we (Ferg crossing) we pulling ahead. I’m sorry for not having a screen shot, but I have some from a few minutes ago. Kinda sucks.
I chose Ferg because we kickedkitten during beta, but we get dominated every day now.
At least I know the 1.2 gold I dumped into reinforcing Redvale went to good use :/
I was trying a new build out, and I noticed that Shrapnel Mine says “bleedD”. Pic attached.
Sorry if it’s been pointed out before.
Thanks for your hard work! I’m having a blast playing the game!
