Hi all, why not have a fight night on Thursday night? We all meet up at the southern point of one of the BLs, and have fights. 1 v 1, 2 v 2, etc. the rules are that opponents bow to show that they are ready, no attacking before the bow! No damaging the opponents’ armor. it would help if one person at least from each server were in the same TS, Raidcall, or which ever…. Just a thought. ????

Thieves are awesome for skirmish, fast killing dolyaks, etc…
When im away from my group and i see thieves approaching me, well i just fly away because i know i have no chance. Being smart is not always being a hero. Knowing your class means also knowing your weaknesses, knowing what you can or cannot do.

Guys, they just fixed the 10 to 15 supplies bug, they can’t do everything!

WTB WvW daily/monthly achievements. Simple daily achievements can consist of getting 10kills 2 tower caps 1 camp cap 1 keep cap. Monthly can consist of more caps of each things. Just an idea. Would be cool to see a ranking system added to WvW as well. Start giving WvW some sort of meaning to it. Add some ranks to it so ppl can see who are the dedicated WvWers to those who just join for map completion. It may be hard to believe but there is a group of us who ONLY do WvW. We need new stuff as well ANET!!!

I have finally been in battles with HB, and I’m still getting bits of dirt, dust, blood and other unidentifiable debris out of my armor and kit. All I saw was this license plate “HB is Here”. Well played.

2v1 are only circumstantial events. You adapt your strategy to the moment. In Tier2, i often saw SOR attacking on north and TC attacking on south. Is that due to an agreement between those 2 servers? Of course not.

How many Network report do you need to identify a problem? 2 millions?

People paid $60 for a broken game and to have the support forum do nothing but direct them to technical support and then technical support says idk go contact your ISP.

There are mutiple issues on this forum not only including this one that is going unanswered. i.e ( the hard-shutdowns upon starting the game ) etc.. I experienced it first hand and instead of getting the solution from you guys I had to figure it out on my own and DO YOUR JOB and spread the fix, cause im a nice guy.

I’ve never seen such unprofessional work ethic.

Ive had this problem for a while. But instead of QQing to you guys, I at least try to fix the problem on my own before asking for help on the forums. But its kinda hard to try to find a fix when all you guys do is spew out BS such as

There is a plethora of threads on this particular forum with thousands of replies containing diagnostics for this PARTICULAR ISSUE thats has been ranging from 3 months ago to 2 hours ago.

So dont spoon feed me your BS excuse because youre too lazy to do your job.

Oh and on another note, ive been looking for a second job anyways. It seems like I can do just as much as Ashley Segovia or more.

I honestly do not know why Blackgate server want to ruin their reputation leave T2 with such a bad impression. It has been fun all along, fair play was there until Tarnish Coast joined T2. For some unknown reasons you are helping them out. I know this because I was there when IoJ was there and this never happened.
I do not know enough Tarnish Coast so maybe this is their tactics where ends justify the means but I do know that BG is better than this.
Hopefully you care enough to do the right thing, no more crowbars to the knee cap please.

When organised guild raids of 25 people collide, a single player will likely find himself with 20 stacks of vulnerability and prolonged weakness, mostly attributed to this consumable. That’s a 20% increase to incoming damage, which is a fight turner. Any guild not using this will find themselves severely disadvantaged.

I would rather fights are decided due to skill, co-ordination and sensible build creation, not some PvE clickable.

Maybe but that was not the point. Like food, oil, it gives you a significant boost. But it is not unfair, because anybody can access to it, like food and oil.

To be honest it looks more like you guys just gave up.

I hate to say it, but I’d almost have to agree with this.

EB had no queue for a good chunk of the night, we didn’t seem to have anywhere near the same presence we seemed to usually have on a Friday. We even managed to move out entire guild over to EB and back to TC at one point with no queues.

Awesome 45 min fight tonight at SOR garrison, valorous resistance to the secret alliance between TC and BG :p

The /clientport fix seemed to work for me as well for a couple of hours. Then i joined WvW with a decent number of players. Lags and error 7:11 were back…
Really annoying when there is a queue…

The way you describe it means that you have a CPU bottleneck issue as many of us do. They apparently are trying to improve this issue.

Yeah i have the same issue. I was watching my cpu usage when i was lagging and i saw that some core (i have an i7 quadcore) are overused (100%) while others are below 30%.
Im no specialist but it could mean that some code was written by a monkey…
Other games i play have a better balance of core usage…

Same issue here. Tried the -repair , battleping and change DNS solutions. Nothing worked… GW2 is of course, my ONLY game to do that.
I want to underline the fact that this problem progressively appeared in more and more people. Do you seriously think that all of a sudden, recently, many ISP all over the world had the same switch-router-whatever problem? Wake-up ANET, this issue is somehow related to you!
Of course im not talking about CPU bottleneck issues that creates massive drop of FPS on machines which would run Skyrim with full details without any problem, but thats another story…

Paying for something that cease to function after 1-2 months is not ok either. I doubt it’s solely the internet provider’s fault when GW2 is the ONLY game to have such an issue on my computer right now.
And im sure that if i download a bad free-2-play mmo that has been coded by people with no hands i wont have this issue.
So please, is it possible to get an official answer, just to say of you’re looking into it, or even if you don’t care.

Can we at least know if its an identified issue that is currently focused on by devs?

I’ve had this issue SINCE LAUNCH. We just upgraded our internet and now get 2.2mb/s download, and around 1mb/s upload and I’m still getting horrible lag spikes, and disconnects every 20 mins or so.

I just did my first fractal and got DC’d twice, the whole group had to exit and lose all progress just so we could hook up again

Same here, its becoming more and more frequent and REALLY annoying. Is it possible at least to know if its an OFFICIALLY IDENTIFIED problem, and if devs are trying to fix it???

Having exactly the same issue. Something like 20 times today only in pve and wvw. Really annoying, specially when there are queues, im spending more time waiting than playing…

I’ve been collecting a lot of data lately regarding the issues so many of us here have with lag spikes in this game. I’ll post a new thread about it soon, but here’s some info for now:

1. Each map/area is a different server, virtual or real, with different ip-adresses (check by typing /ip in the chat window ingame). Personally I can play just fine on one map, and lag like hell on another. Goes for every game mode in the game. Also, to make things worse to troubleshoot, one area that works just fine during the day, may be almost unplayable during the evening.

2. Speaking with friends why this only affects some of us, it’s very likely a misconfigured or failing router/switch somewhere between us and their servers. Otherwise, everyone would be affected the same, or something’s up on their servers that only affect some accounts.
Running pingplotter, I can see there’s a huge difference in packetloss between their different servers.

3. If it was something with our computers, we would have the same issues all the time, everywhere. At least for me, that’s not the case. So, point 2 above is most likely the reason this is happening.

This is not something that can be fixed on our part. Anet will have to look into this for us, and try figuring out what’s up. I hope they’re doing just that, if not – shame on them!

Do you use a special software to test that? Im looking in win8 task manager TCP connections, but despite the recurrent lag and connection loss with the game client i dont see any packet loss or lag peak.

exact same issue, i live in Alabama and all my speedtest are giving expected results (20mb connection, reasonable ping). Many lags in wvw yesterday again, and today i lost my connection in GW2 twice in 20 min.
At , least, could we have something from the dev to test our connection to the Gw2 server?? (Im no specialist)
