Lol, i find Necromancer extremaly good against Dragon Hunters in team fights. When DH players usually rely on Shield of Courage, you just cast unblockable Reaper’s Mark, so everyone can stab him in his butt :P
It worked for few games, but im stuck again in “begging match” screen
I also can’t join PvP. Everytime i open PvP screen, game says “Match is ready to begin” or something like that and i can’t join queue (joining buttons are replaced by this sentence)
It lacks, because elite mechanics, especially profession skills are way stronger. Just compare Guardian’s Virtues to Dragon Hunter’s Virtues, Warrior’s berserk mode (or whatever it’s called) to just one boosted slash, etc. Have you seen engineer deploying Nett Turret since HoT release? All i see now are engi… not engi, stealth gyro and lightning fields spam Before HoT i was running engi without Tools and i was doing well. Now Scrapper line is must have thing. Same as Reaper (chill damage, i know it’s nerfed, but still)
…to totally remove elite specialisations? Many will agree that it’s nearly impossible to introduce a whole new trait line for every class, that won’t be able to combine with five “old” ones to boost the class to insane level. There is access to way too many traits, to avoid this kind of combinations.
Wouldn’t be better to design few new classes, and give them abilities equal to other professions, instead of constantly mixing everything in all classes in the same time? I mean working on one or two professions would be easier and provide better results than working on nine in the same time.
Maybe we could get build diversity back? Correct me if I’m wrong but as i remember, before HoT GW2 was balanced much better. Maybe expansion should just give access to few new skills for every class, but only for already existing groups of skills. (Let’s say HoT gives guardians one new Meditation skill, two Consecrations and something else, Necro recieves two new wells, and so on).
Expansions for GW1 worked this way and IMO it was just cool. Skills were interesting, some of them were useful, but it never was necessary to use exactly them, if u wanted to be equal to other players.
I think scrappes and dragon hunters, or druids, could be completly new, separate classes, cause they hardly remind core engineers, guardians and rangers.
I hope there’s way to keep balance and bring new stuff and maybe this could be solution? What do you think?

lol, try to play any condi class against warrior and say it again Everything i can do to warrior with my necromancer is to beat his health to ~25%. Then he uses healing signet that grants him resistance, which i negate with Corrupt Boon skill (warriors are only reason why i have this skill in my bar), but then guess what? He uses Berserker’s Stance, that gives him 4×3s resistance. MAYBE i will corrupt exatly this boon (between all this might, swiftness, fury, etc) with scepter auto-attack, or sigil of nuflication, but it will appear again anyway. Even if this warrior won’t kill me during all this time, his Healing Signet is ready to use again, so he is still invulnerable to me.
I can understand temporary invulnerability as specific mechanic of class. But when you add this huge damage, stuns, immoblizes he uses on me it’s just too much. I can’t fight warrior – ok. but i can’t even run, because… warrior is of course immune to criple, chill, immoblize, fear
Lol assuming you don’t use food, traits and gear that gives you toughness, it increases your armor by 3,5% for light, 3,3% for medium and 3,0% for heavy armor set. And it’s just one attribute, so it’s less than 1% of your all stats.
One “extra” player in 100v101 zerg fight has brutally more influence on fight’s results, even if each person from the “100” team has this +70 “boost” More players will break the fight and log out, because their mom will call them for the dinner

Actually i think that’s most interesting map. Disappearing panels must stay untouched, thet’s the spirit of Skyhammer! Convincing other players to step on it and then immobilizng them is one of evilest things i can imagine
how about change skyhammer mechanics to aim only at locations A, B, C and fire only, when players try to capture/defend them? Maybe add ability to neutralizing enemy points? Personally i like this map in its actual form, so i wouldn’t recommand to change it dramaticly. Also keep in mind, that players choose this map very often.
The best solution would be to make Skyhammer map optional, like Champion’s Dusk. Or, maybe, you should generally give all players ability to ignore one map they don’t like. The only thing I miss in this game is just one conquest map without additional objectives
i hope someday all elite specialisations will get balanced to the core ones. Without this all superior damage/ bunker-with-all-possible-boons orgy.
I’m giving up PVP on sapphire today. Here’s my story: yesterday i finished on win streak, all i needed was just one pip to reach ruby. today i’ve lost freakin every single match. now i need 5 pips again and again. It’s just impossible for me
Worst thing is fight against 5 Dragon Hunters. 20 traps in single place + another 20 just after triggering them all and constat Longbow 5 effect
Let me guess. Your ranked teammates insisted to “f—k mid and hold far”? Today i had about 20 matches, and i won just 2, where all team focused on the closest and middle point. In every single match i had one or two philosophers of war, strongly convinced, that keep on dying next to enemy spawn point is brilliant idea =)
once i get kicked by server and get 15 minutes ban for pvp. And the same thing happened to me just after this 15 minutes, when i accepted first match. Another 22 minutes of waiting
I play reaper and i must say, that necromancer was better before HoT. Every class cleans conditions too fast, druid and scrapper regenerate faster, than Reapers condis deal damage, warrior and ele are immune to condis most of the time, mesmer does more cd, is invisible, revenant is just floating around, dealing damage and evading attacks in the same time… Necro has just one burst in RS, that easy easy to evade… and thats all
Lol, show me just one non-OP class in this game. Everything is problem right now – indestructible Warriors, Rangers, Elementalists, i-dont-know-where-the-hell-is-this-god-kitten -Mesmer… actually Necromancer is the only class i can manage against

Well, if bad player may find it easy to win with some build, better player will find it even easier with the same build. It’s always about your personal skills.

Yeah, that’s true It’s much harder to beat Elite class with core ones. You deal dramaticaly less damage, have no boons, no stability (now all classess just spread tons of pulls, knockdowns, dazes , stuns). I used to play condi necro on pvp since i bought GW2 2 years ago, but i had to switch to reaper, to be equal to other classes. Damage from chill doubled my outgoing CD, i replaced skills with shouts, because they grant both damage and boons. Core utilities don’t give you even half of what can you get from elite ones
just tank your mmr by sitting afk in a dozen of matches, anyway anet isnt banning for that

Well I think no one would buy HoT just for gliding, speaking in Itzel languange and… how much? Five new areas? Plot is extremely boring, PVE gameplay focuses on running and killing everything around. For me it’s not a big difference between slashing monsters in Maguuma or doing the same in Tyria.
It’s obvious that main advantages are new specializations and completly new revenant. Some people focus on dungeons (for now it’s just one raid in HoT), where it doesnt matter what class and how u play as long as you wear berserker gear. HoT shows it’s potential mainly on PVP and WVW, by providing new ways of gamestyle, powerful abilities. And most people focus on these two parts – so it’s completly reasonable to advertise their product in these dimensions. In my opinion that’s the only way to convince players, who didn’t make their decision yet. This game must earn money somehow Especially if it’s pay-once-and-play game
I bought the HoT expansion only to try new classes in PvP/WvW and went through Maguuma just to get hero points. HoT’s PvE content is… well… poor
hmmm… converting somebody’s agony to force which allows you to become the avatar of death doesn’t sound necromancish enough? Condition transfering, transforming/ removing boons, chilling, weakening – pure necro job.
Idea of minions is a bit worse than this one from GW1. You just summon them straight from the air, in GW minions required bodies. On the other hand you couldn’t use them in PVP.
Hi. Someone said that Blood (sugar, sex) Magic doesn’t work well with condi Necro. Well, in my opinion it’s better than reaper and spite. If u run S/D there’s no need to use Locust Signet or Rune of Speed for fast movement – you have Quickening Thirst. Mark of Evasion deals also nice bleeding damage, in pvp Last Rites and Unholy Martyr/Transfussion can be useful. Eventually your teammates will enjoy vampiric aura (personally – I never notice this effect)

thanks i’ll try your sollution tomorrow I think this problem does not affect everyone and must be very uncommon, if producers didn’t resolve yet. But i wonder why does it happen. Is there possibility that source is in my client?
Hi, i encountered a problem in Bramble Walls mission in Sylvari’s story. I selected the Durmand Priory’s way. When i kill all undead monsters in the keep nothing happens. It doesn’t matter if i do it using golems or my character. Game still wants me to clear the place from undead but there are no more enemies. Some lion guards are running around but they don’t fight anyone.
I tried to finish this mission for 3 times but i always stuck in the same moment, do i do something wrong?
Edit: I’ve also looked for answer on gw2 wiki, but even there is written that after beating all enemies some cinematics should start
