I’ve been doing a lot of JP’s since the update and I’ve noticed some don’t award Empyreal Fragments at the end. So far two that I’ve noticed are the Hidden Garden in Mount Maelstrom and Not So Secret in Gendarran Fields. I will note that in Not So Secret, there are a few Aetherblade Caches that do drop Fragments, but not the end chest. I will post again if I find any more and maybe others could help add to the list.

Not true. One invasion last night on my main server failed, while one of the overflow invasions I was in succeeded. It ultimately depends on the group tackling the invasion.
Jade and Fused weapon skins are tradeable and sellable now. It looks like only skins redeemed with tickets after the patch are tradeable/sellable. I have a few unused Fused and Jade weapon skins that I can’t sell, but it’s probably because they’re from when the event was still around.
I really don’t understand how you feel that way. In no way did you cheat the game or the challenge. One of the Mesmer’s strengths is to distract the enemy with Illusions. Your strategy was based around that. The fact that you had perma-swiftness isn’t cheating either. I beat her on my Full Mel/Lemongrass/Dogged March Warrior. Her Weakness and Cripple just fell off. Don’t feel bad, you beat her and you deserve it. All you needed was a good strategy.
I made a post in the thread about Blobs Schmobs. I did it on my Warrior. Knight’s Armor/Zerker Trinkets. Typical 30/10/0/0/30 build. Axe/Sword (5% more damage with Sword in OH) and GS. I just used HB as it came off cooldown and the rest was just using Axe. Use Impale too just for a bit of extra damage. FGJ and Rage Signet up whenever possible.
I got it on my Warrior last night. I run Knight Armor/Zerk Trinkets. I was in my WvW defensive trait build, but I had to change it to burst Subject 7 down faster. I went 30/10/0/0/30. I used Axe/Sword (Sword in OH for the 5% more damage) and Greatsword.
As for the fight, I switched back and forth between weapons as HB came off cooldown. Honestly, I didn’t really have much strategy besides bursting it down as fast as possible. Right at the beginning though I used Impale just for a bit of extra damage. Also pop Rage Signet and FGJ asap. I perhaps my Knight’s armor helped me survive through the damage long enough though.
I got Crystal Breaker fairly easily, I didn’t run into the issues you are having. However, the main issue I can see is that some players are purposely waiting for others to pick up the crystal to farm the achievement. Not really anything you can do about that though.
Also, it seems like Anet is trying out something a little new this time around with respect to event rewards. Less RNG (kinda) in that we aren’t getting boxes with awful drop rates for tickets. Instead we’re getting low drop rates for items that we can turn in for backpieces and helms. I see this as another trial in hopes of pleasing more players.
But who knows what comes next for weapon skins. Will they have RNG boxes again or will they offer new weapons from AP again but at even higher AP tiers? (10k+). The future of achievement rewards has me a bit worried if they offer them in the near future.

I completely agree that Andul was unreasonable, but it definitely was possible to beat him without cheating.
But I disagree that nobody will ever care about Belcher’s Bluff. I had a blast getting the rest of the BB achievements for the title. Just playing with random people in LA was quite enjoyable. I just wish the Endless table wasn’t so expensive. I definitely see myself keeping a nice stack of them handy though.

Basic chaos armour doesn’t apply protection when activated. It’s referring to the fact staff 4 applies protection on activation.

yeah but if you rely on your GS clones for damage it’s no longer a phantasm build so your question of ’zerker vs. rampager for a phantasm build is moot.

No real reason to be sorry. It’s true. If you’re going to have clones out most of the time, Rampager’s or Rabid will be your best bet because the most damage they can do is from conditions.
As much as I’d love to run a condition build, with 110% crit damage, iZerker and iWarden hit like trucks. If there was a way to quickly stack the bleeds and keep them up, I feel like a condition build could work.
I’ve been trying to put together a Might stacking build, but I’m just afraid it won’t work out in dungeons/fractals. It seems you have to ensure you’re the closest one to an enemy to be sure you get the GS2 Might. Also, I’d be worried about using GS5 because of the knockback and though they’d be getting Might, melee probably wouldn’t be happy. I suppose I could explain my build ahead of time if it’s a PUG.
Anyway, the build looks awesome, but I was wondering if you had any experience with it in dungeons/fractals yet.
So I basically end up with sword and greatsword in every build….frustrating.
I feel you. The problem is the potency of zerker builds. And it just so happens that GS + Sword/Focus fit perfectly into the builds. If they really wanted more diverse builds, they should’ve addressed the issues of condition damage or even made some of the other weapons more attractive.
I have yet to get any of the skill based achievements and I don’t know if I will in time. I don’t like the time constraints. And I won’t go for them unless the whole group wants to. I really don’t have any desire to anyway. It’d be nice if there was a reward tied to them.
Well that changes everything. I was concerned about using GS#5 as it’s not always good to be knocking back mobs. Though if it it’s used mainly on bosses, it’d be perfect. I’m just curious if it’d be better to drop 10 in Domination to get Deception Evasion because of Shattered Strength in Illusions. With that though, my Mirror Blades would be every 8 seconds, but I’d have more clones to shatter for Might. And looking at the build now, it would’ve been much better pre-IC patch. Mirror Blade would be on a ~5 second cd. I feel like it could still work though.
On other note, Zumi, the original build in this thread has me curious about getting my feet wet in WvW. My usual dose of WvW is reset day with guildies and it’s normally just a boring zerg fest. Your build sounds like it’d be fun though.
I like the idea behind this build, but I mostly PvE and I’d like to do something other than the traditional phantasm zerker build. Any recommendations translating this to PvE?
That’s what I have off the top of my head, but maybe someone with more PvE experience would be able to give you a more detailed answer. I hope that helps!
Thinking about it now, maybe PU wouldn’t be ideal for PvE, but the main thing I was attracted to was the might stacking/sharing. Maybe I can come up with something similar that builds on the same idea of sharing boons. I’m just worried about Bountiful Interruption. I doubt it’d be successful in PvE encounters. It’s disheartening knowing that there really isn’t much diversity when it comes to PvE builds. I feel like I’m only useful to the rest of a group when I’m running full zerker Inspiration builds.

Hey there. I’ve been playing since launch, but stopped shortly after the Halloween event. I’ve recently returned and I’m looking to get into Fractals. I’ve run some dungeons here and there, so I have good understanding and experience with some of the more advanced mechanics of the game. I have one level 80 Mesmer in just about Full Exotics (missing exotic back). Anyway, I’m hoping to find a larger guild that’s into dungeons and fractals. Preferably one that could help with running early Fractals for progression purposes.
They do indeed. I’ve opened well over 3000 pToT’s. Plenty of the Major Runes and eventually a Superior Rune. And lucky for me it was for Tailoring, one of my only 400 professions. I couldn’t give you a drop rate, but it seems as rare as the Gift recipes. Out of the 3000 bags I opened, I also got both Gift of Spiders and Souls recipes.
I’ve heard from a few people that they have made Endless Tonics through crafting/Artificing. Personally, I doubt there are recipes for them, but I wanted to see if anyone knew for sure.
