Even when you put ‘em all in the same place, it’s still not enough? XD
I have to dissagree, as a mesmer, I eat revenants for breakfast.
Here’s an idea. Give us the ability to sage.
So… you made a post saying that they Anet needs to fix bugs…
Guild Wars forums really needs sage
Ugh, why are people still making the mistake of not maining mesmer?
I’d say the first one
They have been in the gem store for so many times this year. If I recall correctly the white wings where for 3 times in the gem store, one of those times they where in there for a week. It will be a while untill we get them back.
I’m sorry for your losses.
Ehm… I have an idea. I’m not sure if it’s usefull or anything or if you will agree with me. They could make a new currency that we would receive when we level up. This currency we could spend to buy toys and level banners. There are banners to show your PvP rank so we could use this as a banner to show level ranks. I would like it, seems like a fun way to show your actual play time instead of afk time. This or achievement points would be nice.
My airship ticket. I use it at least 6 times for my daily stuff and many more times throughout the day. I should probably get myself a home portal stone. I also carry my copper-fed, salvage kits, a bunch of food items, fun tonics and toys, ley line extractor and my HoT currencies ‘cus I’m too lazy too keep storing them in my bank. I never really know which map I’ll be doing and I don’t want to loose my spot in that certain map once I find out that I forgot the curencies.
The only problem I have with the raid is that I can’t see the areas and read the lore. Do I think they should make another difficulty just for that? no.
Thanks for the warning
I just want the mask of that mesmer outfit… not the god ugly suit
Do you guys even know how hard it is to spot one of these symbols…. I saw one guy standing infront of me, saw the symbol. He walked into a zerg, I could not find the symbol again. The only reason I can think of why you would not want this is because you don’t want people to show of their pvp rank since you are not good enough to reach it.
And no, I don’t do PvP, I’m a PvE player.
All I want for christmass…. a difficulty increase, game is too easy.
I will stick around, I like this game. But my gem purchases have dropped.
Yeah, it isn’t a very good system. It’s bringing a lot of toxic behaviour to new player areas and it’s also punishing people for doing something good… What they could do is adding certain mechanics to an event to steer it into a certain direction.
For example:
You need to guide a bunch of dolyaks. You could do this the normal way but if people are exploring around a bit they find out that on a cliff you can push a rock to block the passage. This would in turn not make the event fail but rather make it take a different direction. People would need to clear the rocks to make a rock monster spawn which they need for their precursor.
The hard part could be that you need to find out how it works but this could also be it’s downfall for making it to easy to get the stuff. They could however turn this into a chain of events where you need to trigger certain things at different events to make certain things happen. Almost the same idea but players have more control instead of what we have right now.
Anet come on, you don’t need to nerf the effects. What you need to is create contrast. When talking about PvE and all those circles the color is red. Mesmer stuff has very big effects and is purple. Not much contrast so it blends together a lot. When elementalist uses firestorm and such it’s red, also blends together. You might say, well water stuff is blue so high contrast. This is where contrast starts to do bad things. Since the water stuff is very strong and the aoe of the enemy doesn’t have a very strong color it doesn’t work. I’m not saying that should change the colors all together but take a look at a farmers market. There is a reason why to put red tomatoes in a green box.
Of all the maps in Tyria this has to be my favorite. Why you ask? Well let me explain.
What is the one thing that always happens when I traverse the Tangled Depths? I get lost. I get stuck and can’t find the way, find loads of mobs and stuff on the floor that tries to eat my face. In normal Tyria I would just grab my minimap, maybe waypoint to a waypoint very close to my destination. This is not possible in Tangled Depths. The minimap is somewhat usefull to get you in the right direction but most of the map I had to learn myself. There are also not a lot of waypoints so my main form of traversel is using the nuhoch wallows. It has been very fun and I still get lost pretty often.
I wish this was possible in other maps. I’m not saying that you need to change the current maps because that would cost a lot of money and a lot of time. However, I would like to see this more in the future.
I want to see less minimap use in future maps and also hardly any waypoints but more of those wallow things. They make traversel fast without just waypointing away. So for the future when you introduce the new water maps/combat try doing this more. You would at least do me a huge favor.
7 in a week would bring it’s own problems. On Sunday and Monday the TP stacks of these items would increase by 14 a person. Second, people with multiple accounts don’t have to log into them every day anymore but only 1 day a week to craft all 7 of ’em.
What would be a good system you ask? hmmm, lemme think for a second… I’ll come back once I have found something because I do agree that the daily login can be anoying for some people and that there is a good way to fix it.
Need an elite for raids? That’s a hard question to answer. If you’re planning on doing PUG runs then you really need the elite spec because without they are gonna insta-drop you. If you’re part of a nice guild or a group of friends it depends on the role you need to fullfill.
I’m suprised by the amount of people who didn’t know about this site. GW2Crafts is a nice website for getting your crafting levels to 400/450/500 instantly. The normal guide is the cheaper option but it will take a bit more time and you need to buy more materials since you’re trying to minimize the amount you spend. Fast route is faster but more expensive. Even the normal route is not the cheapest you can get but it gets you there instantly.
Anet applied one of the oldest tactics in the book to make people nice to each other. They created a common enemy, themselves. There might be a ton of hate on the forums for Anet but we are hating together.
1) What is a strong dps, while not being cut down so fast? A.K.A has some sort of sustain so the healer doesn’t have to babysit you.
I play a mesmer/chronomancer with marauder gear, ogre runes, a few might sigils and power sigils and zerker/marauder trinket. I do most of the healing myself by having enough clones out for f4, timing my f5, staying in my wells and spamming my heal well. With the might I generate I can easily do 7k dps. I can also share it very easily.
2) Would going 100% tank guardian be viable? All toughness and vitality and just tank the boss?
You can also play a tank mesmer. Sounds weird? Let me explain. With a good support and build you can have the stats you can take the damage very easily. Might be worse than some other classes but for the first boss mesmer can get perma quickness. This means it’s very easy to kite the boss around the area which is very usefull for the fight.
3) My playstyle is doing good damage, but being able to sustain and provide some kind of support for your raid members if its needed.
You put down a lot of clones and phantasm you shatter. Drop down all the wells you can get and stand inside them. Also use your weapons wich in combination with the right crit sigils can do a lot of fun things for your damage. For the support you have one of the best ults, your time warp. You are also the only class that can provide alacrity and you don’t even have to go out of your way to do so. You can generate a ton of might and share it and if you plan on doing PvP you will be a star if it comes to boon stripping. You can play tank, condi, dps or support so restrictions on that.
TL;DR
Give mesmer/chronomancer a try. It has a lot of potential if you play it enough. Be however prepared to busy because you need to focus on a lot of cooldowns at the same time (weapon, wells, shatters) since allacrity can mess with that a lot.
P.S. Any questions about mesmer/chronomancer, message me. I’m not claiming that have a ton of experience or a that I’m a mesmer/chronomancer expert but I do try to main it and I’m having a blast doing so.

I have to disagree with most of these things. Maybe make a poll somewhere to see if some of these things really need to change.
Only if I get insta weapon swap. O wait, don’t we have a few sigils that react on weapon swap? Sigil of Renewal, Sigil of Battle, Sigil of Mischief, etc will certainly not break the meta.
Praise the sun!
store them somewhere safe and pray that Anet doesn’t take them away. These, my friend, is what collectors like to call artifacts. It’s something that should not be in the game and there are only so few.
I switched to marauder, still loving it
I want to wear the schoolgirl outfit on my male sylvari…
Gems have had the same cost of real world money since launch, there have not been sales on Gems that I am aware of. As Lingang said, I think there have been/will be Black Friday Gem Store sales.
We had a gem sale during the pre-order of HoT
Another one of these posts. Still gonna +1 ’cause I also want this to happen.
Don’t we have achievement points for this? People who play a lot and play lots of different content have a lot of achievement points, they get achievement chests… I don’t see what needs to be added? Rewards for staying afk?
Do you have any idea of the difficulty to make this? I mean like, any idea at all? I don’t think you even grasp 1% of the difficulty. Come back when you’ve tried it yourself and you can give the devs some insight in how it should be done.
hmmm, I don’t think we need a percentage counter. Small dots on top of the health bar or something to get some kind of perspective could lower the difficulty curve.
Also, activity? What about a really good raiding guild that is only active once a week? They are good, have the skills and want to teach people but the guild seems dead because of the filter.
Yeah…. no thank you. I can only see problems coming from this. Large guilds will have an easier time getting more people in their guild while the smaller guilds will have harder time getting people in their guild.
Let me explain.
If you search for a large raiding guild with a full guild hall = 100+ results.
If you search for a large rading guild without a full guild hall = 1.000+results.
If you search for a small rading guild with a full guild hall = 100+ results.
if you search for a small rading guild without a full guild hall = 10.000+ results.
You see the problem here? Also, about the small guild with full guild hall… those will be rare but they probably have really high requirements to join. Most of the time if you try to join a smaller raiding guild which is actually really good you have to go to their website or something and apply. How do you get to know which website they have? try the name or go to the forums and ask them, the place you wanted to leave remember? The larger guilds have probably lower joining requirements but this in terms leads to less people joining the smaller guilds.
Seems nice, would make it easier to spot it.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Sylvari_male_ears.png
I believe some of these ears could contain stamens. They are probably rudimentary because sylvari don’t need to reproduce, the mother tree does this for them.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Avatar_of_the_Tree.jpg
I believe I can see some stamens and I can imagine she has a pistil in that haircut of hers.
ehm… here are just my 2 cents but what if Anet would just make a third smaller guild hall which is cheaper to upgrade but also 1/4 of the size? Same size arena but everything else would be smaller. Even though I’m part of a 1 man guild I would still keep my large hall but at least the 6 man guilds and such can get easier acces to certain features.
GIVE MAC USERS 64 BIT TOO SERIOUSLY I’M TIRED OF RESTARTING MY COMPUTER.
ONLY WHEN MAC GETS A DECENT KERNEL FFS!
I liked the fight. Sure, not very cinematic or anything but it had fun mechanics.
As titles says, why do we have to use specialization exactly on 3rd line? I like to have my stuff organized. Other trait lines can be used as we want, but the same rule does not apply for specialization.
What’s the point?
Can we have that fixed? It’s clearly not intended.
EDIT:
I was expecting this feedback about only 1 specialization
But now that i think about it, isn’t always having 1 specialization kind of boring?
Having 2 specializations and 1 core would be way more amazing. If we keep the idea of having only 1 specialization, i would love to have released 1 more core trait line, so we can have a lot more diversity between choice of 2 core and 1 spec.
They call it a specialization for a reason…
Also, add me for JP help. I can do every one of ’em without much trouble and then port you up.
Adding to Riku:
When making an MMO you can’t stop and think “wait, can people with wooden modems and Hamster Wheel powered PCs do that”
This is why we have Interpolation and Extrapolation.
Season 1 story needs a remake with season 2’s format however, I personally believe instead of the same original storyline, Season 1 Story needs a complete story overhaul that also stays true and consistent with Season 2’s story.
Getting to know your friends and your Role:
With a Story overhaul for Season 1, you get a chance to re-introduce Rox, Brahm, Taimi, Jory and Kas in a more personal level with our in game characters. You get a chance to show how the player character develops his/her relationship to his/her new group of friends. You get to show us how we become the leader of that group through the player’s actions and deeds. I believe in character development is key in any good story and part of that is lost since season 1 is unavailable to us but it can be fixed with a nice story overhaul that doesn’t conflict with Season 2 and HoT storyline.
The villain overhaul:
What made scarlet awesome was her personality, insanity and voice acting, but that’s about it…
With the villain overhaul, you have the opportunity to make Scarlet relatable to us. You get to show us no matter how intelligent someone is, how strong someone is, and how good someone’s moral is, they too can tragically become corrupted. You can show us Scarlet’s struggle and the player character’s struggle. You can show us the good side of Scarlet as her corruption starts taking over. Maybe the player character starts doing certain things for the Elder Dragon without even knowing it and realizes later that Scarlet is going through the same thing and fights back. Maybe the player character tries to save Scarlet from herself until finally it’s too late and she awakens Mordremoth which ends the new Season 1 story and starts season 2 story.
Those are my suggestions, ideas, and advice.
I hope to see a remake of season 1 story. =) Good luck ArenaNet.
She could have done truly amazing things. Scarlet was never a villain, but a misunderstood hero. The dragons power is amazing and we could have had it at some point. Yeah, tons of people would have died, but isn’t that worth it. Scarlet was never corrupt, she was just too wise for Tyria.
Too get back to your question. Too expensive unless you’ll fund it.
Considering that they don’t even have a raid or dungeon out yet for the xpac I doubt we will ever see SAB again.
ever is a big word…
First Halloween. Had a decent bit of fun getting all the ToT bags and making a bit of gold. But yeah, they did have much time ‘cus they kept working hard on HoT. Wintersday will probably be better since they don’t have to spend as much time on HoT.
Let’s revive this grave
