Thanks guys, its not the losing the guild that bothered me – its knowing that i probably wont now get the oppurtunity to join a permanent wvw guild again unless i do pay to move servers.

will the server match ups change again? is RoS destined to be passed from server to server like an unwanted step child?

Ive been away for a couple of months, i had joined a wvw guild on gandara (which had previously left ros) but came back last night to find im now on desolation fighting against my gandara guild and then to discover ive been removed from that guild as im on a different server :/

ive gone with the scrapper runes – which were a great suggestion and im using this build at the mo, ive only used it in HoT but im actually liking it (probably because i dont know any better – but im doing damage and staying alive most of the time)
the trinkets are a bit of a hodge podge, but thats what i had in store

Im new to necro / Reaper and was wondering if you guys could have a look at this build and offer any suggestions on where it could be improved on / changed?
I intend on using it as an “all rounder” in HoT / regular PVE and maybe a bit of WvW, perhaps even a fractal.
Preferably not using conditions.

I seem to be running into a lot of Mesmers & daredevils that i now have issues with and following the server mash up, zergs and squads have become a problem – but not much i can do about those – thats part of soloing

But once where i could hold my own even if i did eventually die, now i just seem to fold like a pack of cards

Im usually solo, so survivability is important for me -but i also do want to be able to damage (i dotn want to use druid on this toon as i have a seperate druid)

OP, I also have a severe fear of heights, and soem of the jumping puzzles in this game filled me with dread – the Tribulation Rift scaffold made me physically freeze the first time i came across it, but like somebody else has mentioned change your camera views this will help you combat the feeling of sickness.
Its taken some time now- but ive also eventually come to the realisation that if my character does fall – i will not be harmed, its a pc game afterall. Now i know some people reading this they will scoff, mock and generally take the pee, but seriously when your stuck on a JP concentrate solely on where you’re jumping to next and move your camera so you cant see down, or so its side on – like an old school arcade type fo view.
I purposely went out of my way to complete all jumping puzzles to prove to myself that i could do them,
you can do it, youll be fine.

It is well EotM is so popular. Those are the kind of players I prefer to keep out of WvW.

If EotM was closed the players would probably not return to WvW but to the next best karma/XP/gold per time invested part of GW2. I bet that would be one of the meta event PvE zones.

Why would you want players in WvW who don’t enjoy the game mode?

I would love to be able to play in WVW in a group, but im on Ruins of Surmia, so the best i can do is run around on my own around EB or the borderlands hopefully finding another bored RoS player – Heck i managed to find a team of 4 recently – what a might fine zerg that was…..

So my options are: i can go into wvw everyday and see 1 or 2 others if im lucky or i can go into EoTM and see a few more, or if im really lucky there may be a commie with a group.
I have seriously considered changing servers, but A, i dont know which server to move to and B, why move servers if Anet actually do make the supposed changes to WvW.

probably over level 80’s doing the PVE daily events that they need to do, which most of the time are completed in low level area maps

I currently have 3, they are built as
Power ranger for wvw (it used to run as 644 but i find 626 survives better)
Wilderness survival for PvE
my 3rd was a spotter build for dungeon but i keep trying out different builds on this toon as im really unsure what to do with it at the mo.
I did have a 4th but it was asura and i didnt like it, so binned it.

As my traits are now so similar between the wvw & pve ranger, my intention is that my pve ranger will eventually become my druid after the patch and then ill use the current wvw build as an all rounder for wvw & pve

i dont understand it for one minute, forcing people to try to beat the Great Jungle worm, led to total confusion with lots waiting Calendon forest waiting on the Jungle worm, and when i did pursuade some to go to Bloodtide, it was just anarchy and a total lag fest -which of course is going to happen at every one of these events that are part of the “daily”.

I would normally be able to complete them while lvling a lower lvl toon, exploring on any toon, doing wvw – whatever i fancied – now i dont have a clue what the heck im going.. if this is Anets attempt to keep people interested, its having the negative effect on me

edited – ok ive eventually got my head around this and imo it horrid, just for logging in i got coins – what is the point of dailies now? 30 lvl 80s doing a lvl 10 escort quest in queensdale, if you had a new human toon, dont even bother trygin to do quests at the mo – you wont hit anything!

had exactly the same, i did see a thread in here before for exactly the same issue but couldnt reply as i was at work – looks like it may have been moved to the bug area, but not sure.
I ended up logging out and having to restart the whole story again, much to my dissapointment

sorry OP but i really cant see how, as Dawntree above, the 2nd fight was long winded, 3rd not a problem with sceptre and 4th was simply once i realised what was expected, the only slight issue i had was that my norn guardian is slower than a tortoise with limp, but the whole story was very soloable.

Perhaps its time to find out what your toon can actually do, as i keep telling th eguys in my quild, you only need to type /wiki when in game instead of constantly asking the same thing over and over, yes will help them but its not difficult to actually help themselves.. sorry went off track a bit there

i thought the guild had folded as it vanished from my guilds, can i have another invite please?

same here, the only way i can sell an item is from my inventory, right click on it and “sell at trading post”

Ive just done a quick check on my other toons – all of which only have a few items in their bags and they had no problems at all, so i filled their bags and tried Black Lion – no problems whatsoever, went back to the toon i was having problems with and as soon i open Trading and try to scroll through my items to sell something, CTD again.

looks like its only my main thats got an issue

am i the only person that is having an issue with retaining my rune but changing my stats – or am i being really thick, i hope im not.

Guys i want to un-equip soldiers armour and equip knights, but as far as i can tell the only way i can do this now is to buy the knights and a new rune as i dont see how else i can do this.
the wardrobe only offers me a skin, so can will still keep my soldiers stats. If i equip the knights armour i cant get the rune from my old soldier armour – at least with the old transmutation stones i could get exactly what i wanted with no issues. i use 2 peices of armour, that combined the stats, rune and looks i wanted, and out came what i was after – now im just totally confused and seem to only be able to change the look but still keeps the old unwanted stats…. anybody help?

this problem is getting worse and worse for me, since the latest Lions Arch patch i stuggle to log in with every character and keep getting the “the game client lost its connection to the server.” (code=7:11:3:191:101) error.

each time i zone, or even waypoint warp and the game is loading the new zone, i can hear the background sounds but its 50/50 if im going to get back into game and getting more and more annoying!

Its odd that these issues only started after i created my 5th character, but really dont want to delete it just to check :/

Amazingly a few hours after posting my original post, the game logged me in and i was able to get out of the forest and move to queensdale but didnt have time to test if i could relog back in.

im on the look out for a new guild, im currently based on Ruins of Surmia and unfortunately my current guild has basically evaporated, i might consider changing if i can work out how to do it

Im in the UK, so a UK based guild would be spot on, if there is such a thing.

So far ive only concentrated on PvE and dabbled in WvW but really didnt have a clue what i was doing, ive never bothered with PvP as this doesnt really interest me.
Im a very casual player, kiddie and wife doesnt allow me to be online 24/7 so im mainly on after 8pm most days.
Very much into helping whenever i can, ill always offer my services if i see somebody shouting for help, whether a guildie or somebody soloing, after all everybody needs help at some time, whatever their play style.

my main is Guardian 80, but ive also got Warrior 80, Elementalist 80 and a Necromancer 30 (not too sure about this yet).

i am having exactly the same issue, im the only person showing as online in the guild roster despite fellow guildies chatting away in /g chat – none of my friends show as being online. i cant send party invites as my game doesnt recognise anybody as being online and when i receive party invites (exactly the same as the OP) and accept an invite i cant see if im even in a party – to me it looks like i had rejected the invite – but them im told that im in the party, even though i cant see any party member details or see people on the map.
I have submitted a support ticket in the hope that something will get sorted, but nothing yet – i really hope this gets sorted soon as its really having an impact on my game now

no its not just you, i get this happening EVERY day, i log in and nobody shows as being on line or only a few peeps, then people start chatting to me i cant even see online in guild or friends list

I’m curious is there a reason you didn’t take the Arcana VII trait “Blasting Staff”? That’s a must have for me when I run with staff.

thats why i was after help with how i could better my build, i couldnt make my mind up over blasting staff or final shielding, so went for the defensive option in the end – just to try and not be so squishy

thanks, ill have a try with the build – ive switched my trinkets to berserker with ruby, and soldier backguard, but the soldier armour and superior runes are out well of my reach for now, something ill need to work towards.

hi all, im really after some guidance with as to what i could do with my build, ive read through miles and miles of forum but i am still as confused as when i started.

As this is my only lvl 80 im using it for PvE and dungeons/Fractals (basically everything my clan needs, apart from PvP)

I want to try to be “well rounded”, able to inflict damage and provide some healing, so ive no interest in a glass cannon build, my current build has worked for me so far, but thats only because i dont know any better, but im sure it could be improved on.
