Managed to to the achievements.
1) Avoided the traps to go to room with mordrem controllers and immature mordrem wolves.
2) killed the volves, meet Taimi.
3) get the 4 saurian bones, don’t meet your friends yet.
4) trigger the traps.
5) go back to the room where you set the 4 saurian bones and you get achievement.
It seems that Sinister Armor is all in the rage now with the Raid and stuff and I have to re-equip my toons from berserker to siniser. How cheap is it to create exotic ones or maybe ascended ones. How about putting 4 pieces of exotic armor and see what are your chances of getting an exotic Sinister Armor? Or just craft your own and pay for it?
Also, would you recommend to get a substitute armor like Khilbron’s, Ogden’s, Shiro’s, Vatlaaw’s, Galrath’s, Brutus/Sheena’s and equip yourself on the cheap?

I also noticed that it is the same for the Karka Queen, but not a big deal considering that people kill the KQ all the time. Wish that there was an organized run to do the TT events but harder to get in now. I opened a thread about it a few days ago.

You cannot guest to EU from US. You can talk to people there but your can’t come there. It’s region-locked unless you transfer your whole account.
btw, I just did a Triple Wurm with EVOS 2 days ago, 4h after reset. I taxied with a friend when the escortings were happening and didn’t even need to right click join. I just waypointed and got in. Another friend also joined and got in after 5min spamming join.
Just try to get in 30 min early, or while the events are happening since people may crash (poor them). Just be patient and dont give up.
I was actually waiting in bloodtide 3.25 hours after reset, 2 days ago before the event start. waited for the guy from EVOS and spammed the 5 minute join but the world was full. Now that I can’t even go to a EU Server, I guess I am up a creek without a paddle on this one. So I will probably complain to the Anet people or go other ways to get all my mastery points.
A few months back I have defeated the 3 wurms in Triple Trouble and got all the Achievements and the title for the “Great Jungle Wurm Slayer.” Post Hot I realized that under the boss Achievements, it says that I have not defeated Amber, Crimson and cobalt heads so I can get the mastery points. Is there a reason why this is happening? Or do I have to find do this all over again? Thanks.

Read my first post. I just have to kill the 3 different worms for the mastery point accomplishment for each worm. As for the programming issue? Beats me. Rings are basically a dime a dozen before HoT. Now I am getting more of this useless stuff especially from bonus chests. Most people go to Fractals to get a ascended armor, weapon, weapon skin or even an endless fractal potion.
I used to do fractal 50 and I get a good number of Shards of Coagulated Mists Essence, but now I am getting globs and vials of this stuff when doing level below 40. I would like to know what level fractals when you start seeing mobs drop shards of this stuff… Also, I would like to know how can you get ascended weapon/armor chest now? Thanks.
I managed to go up to level 51 yesterday in Fractals with my zerker warrior but realized how crappy it is. Seems like the only thing that can hurt those mobs are condition damage. I am already thinking of building up another toon to do level 51+. Should I get a ranger or Engineer and perhaps a build like this?

Okay, a couple of months back I did my achievement and Did Triple Trouble by joining the TTS guild and was able to kill the Amber, Cobalt and Crimon worm. Now HoT came out and I just realized that I need to kill all 3 worms again in order to get the mastery point. I have 2 questions, 1) why do I have to kill the 3 worms again, and second, I checked TTS guild calendar and they seem to have moved on to the HoT content and ignoring the worm altogether.
I am confused too as I looked at the wiki page and my HOT main does not jibe with their list but my tyria-only alt is much closer. For example, I am not getting ANY points at all for my personal story. I have also done the KQ multiple times and my main says the achievement is still outstanding.
None of the norn’s story is even listed in the achievements list. Since I only have 1 norn (and they have not started the story yet) I decided to do 1 chapter as an experiment. I got 10 AP (despite my main not showing it but my alt account seeing it in the list) but no mastery points.
If I should have gotten mastery points for each new chapter (so 3 per race, 3 per order, and 1 for each level of the pact) I am short a LOT of mastery points. A bug with HOT maybe? If so a vexing one for central Tyria players.
Agreed. I got about 39 points and I have gotten various characters thru level 80 but I still can’t figure out how the central Tyria player Master points are calculated or what I am missing.
I don’t understand the details of how the gain of Mastery Points is calculated. In wiki, if says you gain Mastery by.

Interacting with Maguuma Mastery Orb, a place of power
Completing a chapter in a character’s story – So I get 8 points for competing the whole story for one toon?
Completing achievements – What kind of achievements?
Finding secret locations – Where are the secret locations that gives you a point?
Defeating difficult enemies – Which ones? I got a point for killing the Karka Queen, but don’t know of any one else.
Performing well in the new adventure system
Earning 100% completion in maps – Again, is this per character and per zone?
I tried walking around Verdant Brink on Saturday Night and hardly see people walking around and stuff. Getting ganked by mobs and dying without many WP’s. Walked around and get lost and have problems finding wp’s.
This is worse than Cursed Shore 2012. But Hey, at least Cursed Shore is the furthest area and Verdant Brink is the first area of HoT. It is like going to Metrica Province, seeing nobody there and dying.
Thought with this new metaserver you will see lots more people in each instance but I guess that this is not happening.
No problem with the Horror spawn. Killed him a few times.

Depends on when it happened. Before the 10/25 7pm est patch, the Horror spawned for me with no problems. But after last night’s “update” it broke again.
I’m not in a computer playing gw2 right now and have a 2 questions. Can you gain Mastery points with a toon under level 80? Second, it seems that you can’t get mastery points in pvp and WvW, but how about during fractals? Thanks.
I’m a member of a guild called Starbuck [STAR] a SOR based guild and we currently have 2 founders of the guild, one haven’t logged in for more than a month and one for more than 6 months. I know that in GW1 there’s a feature to automatically promote a member if the leader is inactive for a month, i think. Is there any way to do the same in gw2? Thanks.
People in BG complain why they are outnumbered haven’t seen how what it means to be outnumbered. Try transferring to SoR and play during non-peak hours and you will see what we mean. Personally, I would like to see if TC or FA to replace SoR instead of the BG-JQ-SoR slugfest every week for the past few weeks.
I get this message when trying to join a group using the lfg tool.

Why am I getting this message when I try to use the lfg tool today? I never used this tool for the past few days. The only thing ‘unusual’ was today I grouped with a few guildies to kill world bosses (not using the lfg tool.) I tried everything, log off and log back in, and exiting the game and getting back in. Ironically, it allowed me to create me a group, but not join an existing one.
Unfortunately, there is simply not enough people to play this event every hour. Either this event has to be scaled down for the number people in the area or bring back the old Teq.
Solo is good, except for certain bosses. I was fighting the frog boss in infantile mode (yes I can’t jump for squat,) and whenever I die the boss’ health goes back to full.
The loot is kind of dumb. Yesterday I failed it only doing one or 2 megalaser and I got a rewarded a green and blue dragon chest. Today, I waited for 2 hours in jq and did it and only got one yellow item reward and got greens and blues from the chest. Stupid thing is that I forgot to do the power play achievement so that means I will wait for another 2 hours see if I can do it again for this achievement.
I agree. I tried it about 10 times and failed every time. Out of it, 8 times Teq barely got dented 5%. Mostly on of’s and even when not in of, failed 2 times. Anet just don’t take into account into rage quitters to scaleTeq easier to kill if there are less players.

You might want to check your login account name. For me, they changed my account name from <user>@ncsoft account to your email address. After they changed it, I had to change my email address to log into GW1 instead. I went thru the ncsoft account login page and had to check.
Once a day I always go to the easy to loot Jumping puzzle chests and it is always level adjusted to the character. However, today I did 2 jumping puzzle chests and I noticed the loot is level of the area. The recent anet change downgrade the loot items? Thanks.
Yeah, I noticed it too that it seems to be char based. I was able to get Ori and ancient nodes about 2 times using the same char during the day before the update. After the update, I used another char and I don’t see it.
It seems like that this quest is broken. The quest starts off that you and Tonn have to swim to the Bone ship, I swam there and you are supposed to fight a boss shark. However, the boss shark is not there, but the quest marker has a circle around the bone ship. Tonn won’t set the charges, so I can’t proceed with the quest. I did this quest twice and I have the same result. I am playing in the Hedge of Denravi world.
I had to practically beg for people to help me in several personal missions, including Forewarned is Forearmed, Battle for Claw Island and Defense contract.
I managed to solo Killing Fields (nobody helped me with this mission) with only one death using my level 60+ guardian by ganking the undead abomination and slowly killing off one at a time.
There is almost no way to solo Defense contract. About 5 undeads at a time and later fire imps to boot. Not to mention that if you die, don’t even bother to continue where you left off. The undead will gang up on you at your spawn point.
I tried A light in the Darkness the other day using my level 74 Guardian and I could not survive one minute there. Not to mention that there is no way for you to flee and recoup they will follow you to no end. I couldn’t find any people to help me out with this mission. Since then I leveled up to level 80 and brought some masterwork armor from auction, maybe I can do better…
My guess is that the devs are probably busy fixing bugs and stopping people from exploiting the game so these personal story issues are on the bottom of their list. Maybe we can see some kind of fix for this in a month or two.
