You can underline group who ask for story achievement as it is “personal story” related content.

In your example, we have 12 groups.
3 for fractals
2 for personal story
1 without msg

6/12 = 50%.

Hi guys!

I’ve done a little map to show how the lfg tool should evolve!

Currently, the problem is that players open the lfg, advertise for their group and don’t care if they are in the good tab.

“As everyone see the Living World tab when they open lfg tool, why should I care about setting my fractal’s party in fractal tab?”

So, the main purpose of this map is to restrain the creation of party in wrong tab and helping players to find faster what they’re looking for while letting them an overview of the kind of content they want to play.

Typical request : “I want to join an organized Dragon Stand”.

How to read :

Bubble 1 : Clic to select the kind of content you want to play.
It’s a navigation menu (no group listed).

Bubble 2 : Clic to see the content purposed by players in this kind of content.
You have the list of groups and you can join.
You can’t create a message.

Bubble 3 : Clic to filter the specific content you’re looking for.
You have the list of groups, you can both join and create.

Ofc, the lfg tool shouldn’t be set in stone : each time Arenanet add a content which need to organize people, there should be an associated tab.

Dragonhunter Changes for Next BWE!

I wanted to post this but I still think Big Game Hunter isn’t very good for its slot. 10% increase isn’t really GM worthy. Not too many good choices left.

Rofl.
I guess you didn’t get there is a line “vulnerability on hit” in this trait…

I’m a little upset, they didn’t reduce cooldown of LB#5.
But nvm, let see what this things do at the next beta, I’ll feedback again on it if it’s still a big prob.

From a PvE point of view, I think that if you’re able to return 2 whisps alone in swamp, you don’t lack of mobility.

Teleport is a defensive mecanic to avoid damage.
As a necromancer, you can switch into Death Shroud to take damage.
If you think teleport is an offensive mecanic then you can use Dark Path (15 sec CD).

Vampiric aura’s support is fine.
Look at virtue of resolve, it heals for 100hp every 3 sec.
Unless you use very slow weapons, Vampiric aura is better than virtue of resolve.

An elementalist sitting in water won’t do any dps.
Again, I focus on PvE as I think we don’t need a lot of things to be viable in a party.

ALL Balance changes are PvP oriented + PvE has computer preprogrammed mobs that are too easy atm.

If you balance only for a PvP purpose, you’ll let some class behind in PvE.
How many of necromancers have been kick from a dungeon party or had to switch to an other class?

The balance I purpose won’t suddently make the necromancer overpowered in PvE or in PvP, it’s just little adjustement that won’t hurt a lot and let necro shine a little in dungeons / fractals.

What the necromancer is missing

  • Projectile reflects, blocks
  • Mobility
  • Forms of team support

The OP seems very sPvP/WvW oriented.

  • Mobility :
Flesh wurm, 25% signet, 25% traited dagger, spectral walk.
  • Forms of team support :
Vampiric aura, Wells, Life transfert, Blood is power (for might).
  • Projectile reflects, blocks :
    Death shroud can absorb damages.

To me, if you want to buff the necromancer in a PvE and make it viable in a group, Arenanet has to tweak wells :

  • Increase CD reduction from -20% to -33% on Vampiric Rituals.
It will both boost up necromancer’s damage and team support.
  • Well of power pulse stability and last longer.
With a reduced CD (50-33% = 34 sec), this well should last at least 6 sec to be balanced with a traited guard (hallowed ground / master of consecration ).

You will be able to replace a guardian by a combo mesmer / necro as you’ll get enough stab via mantra + well, the mesmer can reflect via focus (trait) / feedback and the necro can sustain heal via life stealing.
Both can remove condi.

Pre-Purchase and Pre-Order are different.

This, is the fun part as your PR service use one for the other like “Pre-Order HoT now to get the core game.”

Until you clarify the fact that the core game included in the bundle is submitted to restrictions (pre-purchase and using a new account) in your store, I won’t buy it.

So far, your offer in the shop is misleading.

But ppl try to forge some wanna be arguments: ‘The concept either contradicts itself or doesn’t fit the GW2 universe or doesn’t fit the way other professions/ specializations are made.’ (paraphrased). But structurally the concept is sound.

A- I don’t like dragonhunter because X.
B- You’re argument is invalid, find another reason not to like it.
A- What? Ok, then hm… I don’t like it because Y doesn’t fit me.
B- You’re argument is invalid, find another reason not to like it.

How can you even got a constructive discussion when you know that someone will always come and say “Nope, you can’t say that”?

I said on another thread (or maybe this one, I don’t remember) that I don’t like Dragonhunter because it draws on me the dragonhunter’s faction mantra : “eradicate dragons!” and that doesn’t fit my way to see the game.

Someone came over this statement and said “You can’t say that! You don’t even know who are the dragonhunter faction!
I put a statement on the table and this player came and try to transform it into an argument.
So I feel like I had to argue, then he responded, I answered, etc…

Instead of coming and setting a statement “I love dragonhunter because I think this eradication mantra fits very well to the new way I’ll play my guardian.”, he cames with a respond to my statement.

Sentinel, Warder (and Keeper would fit here, too): My dictionary gives me the same translation like guardian (-> Wächter). So these are just different words for the same thing -> a person who guards something.

FYI : Sentinel should be taken as Border Guard.

Not sure if trolling.

Of course I’m trolling, what else would you do on this thread?
People just throwing names without any thought behind : “Why not Justiciar? Oh I love Arbiter! We need Seraphim!”.

Instead of getting constructive post around the concept of Dragonhunter, why people like or don’t like it, we had a bunch of schoolboy kittenpond with less and less respect.

As I am concern, I must admit I’m not a stranger to this decadence, I’ve only post two (maybe three) times to set my argument and between this posts, I’ve been answering an answer who answered a criticism who critised an argument who… (ok, I guess you got it).

A feedback thread can be constructive and developpers could hear our expectations but in that cacophony, the only thing they will understand is that we are only just a bunch of kids yelling.

If you want to be heard, set your pitch in one well-presented post then ignore the answer (whether they are pros or cons your idea).

The thread will be clear, devs could read where are pros, where are cons and they might change the way they’ll name the guardian’s specialization.

Tome Change ideas

Posted by: purecontact.1680

purecontact.1680

Wanted to run a potential idea past you all. Comments welcome.

Tome of Courage -> Signet of Courage
Passive: PBAoE Heal every 10 seconds.
Active: Light of Deliverance

Tome of Wrath -> “Feel My Wrath”
Shout that grants Quickness and Fury

We like the idea of tomes and if we did this we would hope to bring them back in a future Elite Specialization.

Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks,

Jon

Tome of Courage:
The passive effect sounds too long to trigger (10 seconds).
I would make Virtue of Resolve passive effect keep on going even if it’s on cooldown and improve its healing (something like 30%).
If you chose Perfect Inscription, you add 20% to the Virtue of Resolve‘s healing effect.
I’m not really confident with balance but I think 50% is ok if you have to sacrifice a trait slot and an elite skill.

Tome of Wrath:
As Honor reduce Shout cooldown and grant us might on crit, I’m pretty happy to get a Shout with Quickness and Fury.
It would be nice if you could remove the 1sec CD on Empowering might.
With the Longbow and Feel My Wrath, Guardian could be backline Phalanx.

I’d figured Dragon Hunter came from Braham working more closely with his Ranger mother. She started teaching him how to use a bow and literally hunt thing, specifically the draconic quarry he’s oath-sworn to help you destroy. So Braham learned to hunt dragons for his crusader-like dedication to actively protect people and your character can be similarly focused.

My guardian is the daughter of a fisherman and he died killed by a quaggan.
He started teaching me how to use a fishing rod and literally fish thing, specifically the quaggan quarry my whole guild’s oath-sworn to help me destroy.
So my character’s learned to fish quaggan for her crusader-like dedication to actively protect fishermen and your character can be similarly focused.

Quagganfisher were born.

Troll appart, naming a specialization from very specific storyline isn’t a good thing.
The braham’s story line doesn’t define my character, it define braham’s one.
If he wants to found the dragonhunter order/faction, I’ll help him to do so like I’ve helped Trahearn with the Pact but I’m not ok if it impacts my character’s so heavily.

What annoys me the most for the dragonhunter name is the explaination from Jon Peters:

A couple notes on Dragonhunter. We went with this name because we felt it was evocative of the medieval witch hunters. Guardians consider themselves protectors of the innocent. Followers of their faith be it in honor, valor, etc. The origin of the dragonhunter is a more subtle nuanced version of this. Guardians fight for justice and the dragonhunter faction believes justice is the eradication of dragons and their minions. I understand this is a lot more high concept than Mesmer but at the end of the day we felt like we wanted to try and push a more mature theme here. I hope this helps explain our thinking. We had other generic names in mind but felt like it was important to have a mix of spec names that are generic fantasy, more Tyrian fantasy, and more high concept. This one falls more in the third category.

Thanks,

Jon

I’m ok if “Guardians fight for justice”, I’m not if that made me join the “dragonhunter faction (who) believes justice is the eradication of dragons and their minions”.

I want to fight for justice but dear Mr. Peters, you went too far when you set in stone why I am fighting.
It should be up to the player to chose which way his character follow.

If I chose to follow the dragonhunter path, that should be my personal choice like when I chose to be a noble looking for my sister’s body.
I had to chose one of the different symbol of my dedication and I didn’t chose the one which fits to the fanatics’ approach of dragonhunter.

This roleplay story I chose during my character’s creation didn’t affect my gameplay.
Choose whether I want to be a part of the dragonhunter’s faction or not shouldn’t affect my gameplay.

Funny you would say that. I remember the initial feedback to Chrono was either “OMG OP nerf”, or “Anet completely failed to deliver on their promise of sufficient compensation for classes who will only receive an off-hand weapon”.

And I dare to make the prediction that after elite Necro is revealed, there will be enough complaints to fill the front page, and Dragonhunter will suddenly be a decent elite spec, not like that Necro disaster.

Sooooo… where is your point?
Arenanet’s idea becomes crappier over the time?

Seeker sounds like it could fit the Lore Anet was creating for the Dragonhunter. A role that fits Guardians more than any other class. The Pact failed so Guardians seek justice, vengeance, reprisal. He does so now in a more aggresive notion.

It doesn’t fit with gameplay mecanics.
Or if it is to you, please, take time to explain how.

80% of the feedback was limited to “wah wah change the name to one that meets my subjective criteria and fits my personal taste”. That’s the part we could all live without.

What about the 20% left ?
I pushed Sentinel and explain why it should prevail.

Because 80% of feedback just throw a name because it just sounds cool, I shouldn’t take time to try to send a constructive feedback?

Once again, artworks below works with Sentinel : you keep Dragonhunter mecanics (traps, bow) and Guardian’s core.

I tell it with all the respect I have to the dev team: even if I get that they wanted to set the medieval witch hunter connotation with dragonhunter, the fact is that doesn’t work as intended.

I know their is Sentinels’ item in the game but like what they’ve done for the french version of the game with revenant, arenanet can change it to an other name (like watcher or sentry, idk).

That’s why Dragonhunter feels so wrong :
There is no reason a Guardian would change so much thematically just because of a bows and traps. Because when it’s well made, any addition to a profession can fit into it just fine.
They stuck to their style standard considering that the bow and traps on the Guardian are actually what you could expect for a Guardian using those tools.

Moreover, you can spec as a “Dragonhunter” without using bow.
If I tell you “Chronomancer”, it doesn’t limit the concept of the class to the shield.

As I said before, Dragonhunter is both too generic and very specific.

I think the basis of the “dragonhunter” concept wasn’t very healthy.
Instead of starting from the Guardian’s concept, they started from the bow & traps things, they thought about “hunter” and then, they tried to hang it on guardian basis trying to use the “witchhunter” link.
I’m not in their heads but that’s the reasoning I see behind “Dragonhunter”.

That wasn’t my point.
This specialization is not “just a part of a serie”, it is the first.

Please Arenanet, don’t screw it up.

Its just a name for god sakes if you are so hung up that its a stupid name don’t play the specialization till they add another one for guardian.

We have spend more than 2 years playing a tanky/supportive role, we have an opportunity to play our favorite class in a offensive role but we won’t because the name is stupid.
That sounds weird.
I’ll be a “draconhunter” even if I hate that name because I need fresh air on my guardian.

Dragonhunter” name sucks, Dragonhunter’s mecanics seems great, I’m happy @50% of this spec, change the name for something more generic (in a RP point of view) and I’ll be happy @100%.

I don’t want to deal with it and if there is any chance that dev consider our feedback, I have to argue for a name change.

"DragonHunter" name feedback [merged]

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

purecontact.1680

I don’t like Dragonhunter, here is why :

First point:
I think this name doesn’t fit in the guardian’s archetype

Hunter is in the rogue archetype.
Guardian is in the soldier archetype.

No matter how you twist it, the “hunter” name will stay in the rogue archetype.

You can make a hunter wearing heavy armor, using mace and shield or light magic, it will always be in the rogue archetype:
Hunter” is connoted and you can’t break this connotation just because of your background: it won’t fit better to a soldier than a rogue archetype.

Second point:
It is very hard to justify this name

Dragon is a specific enemy.
By using this prefix, you close a lot of doors.
I see a centaur attacking my allies but nope, I won’t kill it because it is set in stone: I’m a Dragonhunter/slayer/bane/knight/whatever
I got that Dragon means Evil in Tyria but Witch hunter didn’t hunt bandits or scoundrels and as I have my root in the Guardian’s archetype, I have to keep defending people from this kind of enemies (or hunt them, the main purpose of this spec).

The only way to justify that a Dragoninsertname attack something which isn’t related to Dragon is to say that you have draconic magic in the game and a specialization use this magic.
It can fit with Silvary but it won’t fit with any of the other races.

Third point:
It is a very confusing name

Dragonhunter is both generic and specific.

It’s generic because like a lot people said : we tracked mordremoth during season 2 and that make all of us dragonhunter.

It’s very specific because you gave this class a specific goal : hunting dragons (and all their minions) and like I said before, it closes doors.

Why Sentinel should prevail:

Gameplay
Sentinel adapts to the soldier archetype.
Sentinel wears heavy armour and a longbow.
Sentinel sets traps to defend his camp.
Sentinel tracks intruders.

Background
Sentinels are border guard.
During wartime however the Border guard withdraw from the Border outposts and provide assistance in a limited capacity to the country’s regular army.
Wartime assistance of the Border guard to the Army is essential as they are familiar with the local terrain having patrolled it on a daily basis during peacetime.

It makes sense:
We are in a war against mordremoth, Guardian pursue mordrem intruders from inside frontier to the maguuma jungle.
They have to specialize themselves into Sentinels, becoming familiar with jungle threats.

As a sentinel, you learned how to prepare a battleground efficiently (traps) and how to always keep an advantage on your enemies (longbow).
Moreover, your mastery in this specialization allows you to keep enemies under control until allies comes (immobilize, cripple, stun).

As as sentinel, you’re not a lonely hunter tracking dragons/enemies, you’re a part of a team.

Extra!
-There is no religious connotation.
-It is flat enough to set up the roleplay that the player want.

Even with all explainations above, it’s still a poor name because the whole concept can be sweep by someone very low-brow.

Literally everyone is killing demons in D3. Why is Demon Hunter not more scorned upon than DH?

They can technically bring out what ever lore than wanted for the Guardian to make Dragonhunters make sense.

In D3, there is no ranger.
Dragonhunter sounds like a ranger’s specialization.

Witchhunters are usually hell bent on the eradication of witches/mages/spellcasters of any kind, does that mean in all the universes they exist all spellcasters are evil? No! It is just how the witchhunter perceives them. Same applies to demonhunters and demons.

As some said before, the explaination behind Dragonhunter set the goal of the player in stone : you are a Dragonhunter, you’ll spend you’re life to pursue Dragons.

I don’t know if our specialization will have an impact in the story as it was before (engineer / silvary related content) but if it’s the case, I’ll hope my character won’t destroy brill’s egg because “I follow an order that I didn’t chose and they told me to eradicate whatever is dragon-related.”

My main concern is that Dragonhunter sounds like a goal, not like a role.
It’s like I can chose “Dreamfollower” as a silvary or “Sisterseeker” as a human.

Again, Sentinel works better because border guard lives outside the frontier, learns from the civilization and adapt quickly to their new land.
When war comes, they use their knowledge to lead and support their allies into the battle.
It fits both with the Guardian and the Dragonhunter concepts.

Border guard

In different countries, names of particular border guard services vary significantly. The service may be called “police”, “guard”, “troops” or “sentinel” and the name would refer to the nation’s official term for the state border – whether it is “frontier” or “border”.

In case intrusion by foreign elements is confirmed, it is the responsibility of the Border guard based on the post to trace the intruders by checking the nearby settlements, villages and towns[…]

During wartime however the Border guard withdraw from the Border outposts and provide assistance in a limited capacity to the country’s regular army which then comes and mans all the border outposts at the international border facing the enemy neighboring country.
Wartime assistance of the Border guard to the Army is essential as they are familiar with the local terrain having patrolled it on a daily basis during peacetime.

To go further on Sentinel basis :

If something below sounds wrong, tell me.

Background:
Guardians used to keep their city safe but now that the danger comes from beyond the frontier, they have to investigate further, they became Sentinel.
To reach their goal, they follow the path of rigorism (or rectitude).

Role:
the main purpose is to see if the dragonhunter role can fit with sentinel name

Sentinel can:
- use a longbow.
- use traps to keep a place safe.
- snare enemies until help comes from allies.
- help allies

Traits, skills and traps:
Hunter’s Ward: Sentinel’s Ward
Hunter’s Fortification: Sentinel’s Fortification
Big Game Hunter: Shrewdness of the righteous
Dulled Senses: Got no idea but dulled senses sounds too “hunterish”

I must admit that I love Dragon’s Maw animation and keeping it as a reminder that Sentinel was Dragonhunter before HoT release can be a pretty cool story to tell to newcomers.

Sentinel works really well.
It’s a border guard and in guild wars 2 background, it works great.
Guardians used to keep their city safe but now that the danger comes from beyond the frontier, they have to investigate further, they became Sentinel.
Once I, as a Sentinel, have found what I came for, I can take my own decision.

“Dragonhunter” is very Dragon-oriented (I know, no kitten sherlock).
To me, it means you’re only role in this xpac is to kill Mordremoth (and his minions) but as a player, I will discover ancient civilization and I may fight enemies which are not dragon-related.

They have revamped FotM quickly after the launch (Fractals of the Mists Dungeon Improvements) because :

The goal is to allow everyone to play together and make partying less restrictive for everyone.

What annoy me in the sentence I underline is the fact we have to build up our character, not our synergy with our party.

It would be great if each “mastery master” could bring something to the group :
- Lore master translate glyph and find a way to open a secret door
- Hang glide master fly to reach a path and launch a rope to allow the rest of us to come
- Combat master can loot weapons which weakens monsters (allowing party to hit it)

This is what I’m expecting from guild wars 2.
If you master everything that’s great!
You’ll be able to carry your group and explain them how everything work.

I don’t wan’t gw2 to become one of those game where you wait for the weaker to reach the cap (stuff / lv / whatever) to go on.

Apprehension about mastery system

Hi folks!

I’ve just read the MMORPG.com’s interview with Mike O’Brien and Colin “SmilyGuy” Johanson and I must admit that I’m a little afraid of what’s going next with mastery system.

__

MMORPG: Every MMO developer thinks they’re putting in tons of stuff in an expansion, and three weeks later, some players are all “we’re done.” Especially when you don’t have the gear grind that forces people to play, how are you building things to ensure that it takes the proper amount of time without seeming too grindy?

Mike O’Brien: We release content all the time, but honestly, most of it is not very, very difficult challenges for groups. And when you think about it, I think you’ll realize that’s because it’s hard for us to be able to release content that’s so difficult that most players can’t solve it right away.

That’s actually a lot of the genesis of Heart of Thorns: being able to put in these endgame character progression systems so that we can release content in the jungle that requires you to have played all of the jungle to build up the abilities you need to solve that content. If you haven’t played the jungle and you haven’t built up your character, you’re not going to beat that content.

We’ve been developing content, but we haven’t been saying that it’s the ultimate group challenge. I think that’s something Guild Wars 2 needs and hasn’t had. Heart of Thorns is laying the groundwork so we really can bring ultimate challenges to the game.

__

Where is the difference with a gear treadmill?
I guess, we will be able to do the content we want in an area but it moves the gear treadmill to a reputation treadmill which is basically the same thing : you repeat a kind of content again and again to unlock the “next” content.

But, the problem -at least for me- isn’t the “farm” component.
I’m in a guild with a lot of different kind of players : from the hardcore who spend all his freetime in the game to the very casual who come every 2 week to check what’s news in the game.
So far, I didn’t get trouble to group guild mates and bring them to an activity (dungeons, world boss, exploration, WvW, sPvP, whatever).

FotM is the only content I can’t do with guild mates because we need a group of people who get the specific AR cap to clean the content.
To reach the AR cap, you have to play (or pay via craft) a lot.

I’m afraid we will have a gap in our guild between people who level up masteries and people who don’t have time to play.
We already have a gap between players with AR and players without AR.

TL;DR :
Will we be able to share our mastery to our party?
If not:
Will we be able to carry our party to “beat that content” if we’ve unlocked enough mastery?

You’ve done a really great job!

I may change some things in hero panel because it’s very confusing, I got way too much information on the screen.
I’m not a designer at all and got respect for what you’ve done but why did you move menu from left to right ?
Wouldn’t be this panel less confusing ?

I like the synergy between your guild and lfg panel.
I used to run a lot of dungeons (16 paths each day) and I was tired to tell my guildmate “hey, I’m going in ascalon, someone who want to join in ?” every day so I finally run those paths alone.

I prefer your second approach with the lfg panel because with the first one, you will got the same problem as we got with the hero panel (now) :
(dropdown menu use 2 clics, a graphic panel 1.)

I click on CoF, looking for P2, no P2 ?, back to panel, CM, full run, no full run ? back to panel, etc…

I love your story panel because it tells a story without reading the content.
The current panel reminds me the meme “wall of text hits you for 99999dmg, you die”.
When I open it, I told myself ’wow, boring !" and close it.

It’s easier for me to remember myself an episode with the trailer than with the title or even the story content.
I usually click on the chapter, read the letter in my mailbox and said “Oh, yeah, it was when I discovered silverwaste the first time !”.
I guess it’s because I easily remember an episode with whatever introduce me to it (trailer / letter) than the sumary.

Your lore panel is really awesome.
I must admit that I don’t read lore stuff because :

“- I want to know everything about Logan !
- Great ! Go on wiki.guildwars2.com to begin, then read the 2 books where he is and then meet him in the game !
- Ew… okay, and will I know everything ?
- Yeah ! Oh wait… I forgot ! You have to read the first blog post when you will be lv 30, the second when you will meet him in Cof and finaly after beating Zhaitan, you’ll have to read the third post.
- Hmm, you’re sure that’s it ?
- Of course ! But keep on following blogs, game updates and wiki and reddit, some secrets may appears !”

The lore is dispatched on 2 (or 3?) websites, 2 games and several books.
We need something in game to follow and undestand lore.

Anyway, you’ve done an awesome job.

I really don’t get it.

I have 102 free slot in my bag and the salvage-o-matic.
I spend less than 3 min to clean my bag when they are full.
If I want to use a mystic forge, I go to LA or I buy Mystic Forge Conduit to use it everywhere.
Go to other MMORPG (like WoW) and you will cry because it will lack of this kind of QoL.

If you don’t have enough space : buy bigger bag or bag slot.
If they are fullfil too quickly, ask yourself if you’re not playing too much without pause.

The problem:
suddenly your inventory fills with more green and blue gear that you could ever salvage.

The solution:
Buy salvage-o-matic.

You mention wanting to know there will be more to the game. The new and continuing episodes of the Living World count towards that, right?

Nope.
You’re welcome.

Edit: just to clear any misunderstanding, i’m not really speaking about the story here. I am speaking about the direction the game as a whole is taking.

If you’re not talking about the story, don’t use it as an example, it’s misleading.

What do you think about reward tracks in PvE ?

I think there could be a more interesting way to reward players. In sPvP you progress, whether you win or lose. This would be a bad system for PvE imho, since putting in no effort at all would also lead you to very prestige rewards. Slower, but guaranteed as well.

When I see a player running around with some special item, I would like to think that he earned that thingy. Just like you look at players with the yellow SAB weapon and you know: this one mastered that content.

Tokens suffer from the same problem. You could do dungeons, always wipe at the second boss but still have the tokens from the first boss to get enough of them in order to buy that prestige dungeon armor.

We have to unlock exploration mode to access a specific reward track.

When you beat SAB in tribulation mode, you unlock the yellow SAB reward track.
Same for triple wurm, tequatl or even dungeons.
You have to beat them (last boss for dungeon) to unlock the associate track (in PvE).

To progress, you have to kill world boss, dungeon’s boss or specific events.
Ex :
Tequatl : 3 event + down boss = 150 point per event + 550 each time you kill him.
World boss : 250 points each
Dungeon : 150 points per boss + xxx once done = 1000 points (total)

It is all about balance and accessibility.

I can farm in sPvP on hotjoin farm server.
I won’t be better at the end but I’ll get the “special item”.

No they don’t need reveal any feature to us, players.
Why?
’cause they could have some problem while they develop the feature.

There is a gap between the concept and the end of the dev.
I hope the living story (S2, ofc) is now done and need just some adjustement / bugfix.
I hope they know what they will release until february.

I not only expect a statement on the next step, but also (and especially) a statement on the pre-launch announcements.

Is Mina’s Target Shooting still planned ?
Is it canceled ?

What do you think about reward tracks in PvE ?

PvP Unique Rewards (Keeping Casuals Invested)

in PvP

Posted by: purecontact.1680

purecontact.1680

NO UNIQUE PVP REWARDS.

Agreed.
No unique PvE rewards too btw.

I would like to feel free to play in PvE or PvP to get the reward I want.
I’m coerce to play a mode I don’t like to got reward I like.

I don’t enjoy sPvP but I need the glorious armor chest and shoulder to complete the skin of my guardian.

Result : I’m not happy with the game because I don’t play a mode I like and teamate blame me because I’m not doing the best I can.

Let me remind you that PvP players didn’t start receiving legit rewards until last Wintersday 2013… Suggesting that PvP shouldn’t have unique rewards is ludicrous.

‘I didn’t get reward for more than a year then now other players won’t get one ! hihi’
Seriously, I read this reaction a lot and it is sad.

Even the rewards in both PvP & PvE & WvW and everyone will be fine.
