The old shroud trait was used because of cooldown, not the speed(and in wvw build where you are supposed to get resistance and swiftness from other party members. At current form the trait just wont give you anything. Cd reduction was way more valuable than traited mark just because you swim in lf anyways and staff itself just does op dmg with chill trait. Atm for wvw soulreaping is dead line, none of gm’s is that great, and none of other masters has good options to take.
Staff is just op with chill trait, thats why it is in the build, even without soulreaping(the unblockable marks is just waste of trait anyways) you build lf with heal skill(and prock reaper runes) shout gives unblockable(+removes boons) and procks runes. Chillbains alone does like 6k dmg/ target when not cleansed. You transfer condis with putrid Mark and apply mild aoe pressure with 2. Like nerf to vp and sos made soulreaping dead line anyways.
Kinda dont agree with metabattles choise of stats, you do want like 1,8k Power, around 1,2k condi dmg, then maybe 20-30% crit and some ferocity while having 2,8k armor. Healing Power is waste tho.
Druid is way better than soulbeast at least. Even if you want to be yolo zerker lb, druid gives much better sustain and soulbeast doesnt give enough dmg to compensate sustain loss not using the druid.

Dmg overall feels really underwhelming, i meän really, even with vipers amulet dagger wasnt pressuring opponents enough, and i think in pve soulbeast dps is way less what beastmastery provides to condi build. You designed DPS spec with only 7%modifier on it that can ne relied on, 5% from disabling foes is just joke because its going to have 0 uptime on relevant pve content and pvp…not rewarding enough. GM slot is just pure joke: Berserker got the top one as master trait, ours is gm, stances are bad so middle one is not really option either and the bottom one: Opressive superiority, now if devs could tell me, in which content this is supposed to be used? Just trash trait, for pvp modifiers are not enough to justify to take it, and pve, lets say alot of things have more hp than the 16k you in vipers/zerker gear trait need condition that is easier to achieve and modifiers should go up to 20%

I do run with similar build like that ws version, thou instead of ‘’protect me!’’ i have signet of the wild for cele avatar regen. I do know not having that burst panic button is kinda bad, but i do run bit more tankier setup(marauder armor with dura, zealots ammy+2 earrings and cavalier rings. with nature and ws initial burst get pretty much negated by passives anyway. i use strenght+blood in my staff and force+air in my longbow.
i think ws variant is alot stronger against condis if you take the survival gm instead of passive 3 condis removed.
And not to mention transfusion itself rezzes 24% of all those 5 targets when fully channeled. So yeah buff S&R plz. Im not saying it is better, but it has uses as well. D is i mention that transfusion can be used as heal skill as well so that those allies wont go down in first place…and it does good dmg as well.
transfusion is up to 5 targets….while S&R is one, closest person….
It doesnt give you 10 stacks of stab for 10s which makes you pretty much immune to cc for the duration of stab…and doesnt benefit from trait synergy which also makes it remove condi, but the ranger has to use shout runes to get same benefit…
i think rune/sigil thing would be less annoying if you actually could craft those good/endgame runes/sigil (like strength runes, if you want full set as f2p, pray rngesus to get good drops). and apparently to get even exotic amulet(since ascended is offlimits) is to get jeweller up to 400 and pray for ruby orb drops.
Im liking this, finaly it really doesnt matter which box you end up getting as a drop…allthought, i wish you could slot runes/sigils out freely. It feels stupid to craft separate zerker set for wvw because if different runes :/ could we get this as well? I meän, no one uses the tp thingy because it costs more than any rune atm…
I think why rangers get all this hate is that because ppl arent really used to fight opponents ranged anywhere other than pvp. I must admit, i main a ranger in pve and im pvp, no shame at all. Power lb+gs build is…its easy to handle, yes you be effective when you know that you cant fight on point, learn to position your self so that opponents cant get easily to you. Basically, its but more than spamming 2 and 4 on cooldown. Because all you have to negate enemy burst is 1 signet on very long cooldown… The condi build on other hand can fight on points but has its downsides as well, i bet most of ranger hate comes from other zerker builds(except medi guard) because ranger can just melt those so well, and is strong in 1v1 situations…sorry for trying to be constructive. And my language, im not a native english speaker.

i do like that keen edge more than sharpened edges because of synergy with survival of the fittest…kinda having ’’extra’’ survival skill even if using signet of stone. bark skin…could replace it with poison master thou.

Just saying, You should try sb/ axe+offhand of your choise condiranger With rabid or celestial amulet, its far easier to play than powerranger and can stay on node if needed. If you want to “carry” your team.
i kinda like the arah axe skin….or corrupted one, and dreamthistle is nice as well, just hope it would go a ’’bit’’ cheaper on tp so that i could actually afford it…
had my lightning reflexes skill equiped on sw jp…one wrong key and i was off the edge…rangers op
yeah…its strange they didnt bring this feature from gw1…it was so mucheasier just to ping builds in chat(and ppl just copying it) if someone asked for a good build for some class…(and in pvp you were asked to ping build for hall of heroes, or just be given a build to run). and saving/downloading build would just make game more fluid, like i wouldnt need to retrait every wvw/dungeon/pve champtrain session and remember which traits to choose for each class.
So, i have around 200 pvp games, i think i know basics of most of maps ( temple of silent storm is for some reason bit weird thou). mostly unranked and hotjoin, how much different is ranked from unranked(less people trying weird builds? less rage afk?). and is it better to have premade team or just go solo?
There are so many topics complaining about ’’noobs’’ which has kinda made me to stay in unranked( which is nice, you can test new classes, like for me going from condi ranger into bunker guard and shatter mesmer, even thief even if my stealth gameplay sucks).

+1 i want this feature back as well, it was so much easier to just save and load templates rather than go and see which skills/traits weps you need to use in certain meta…
i dont know if there should be different kind of arenas like in gw1( random arena which is like matchmaking now, team arena for only pre-made and some kind third ’’hc’’ arena like hall of heroes was in original game) and youneed to progress first throught random arenas(but tied to rank points rather than wins like it was in first game) to actually get in last tier. or something like that, im new in pvp in gw2 anywäy but liked it in original game.
i get stuck with pugs way below my level of play all the time, sometimes to the point where it feels like they just got the game.
best way to handle it is just to go afk the rest of the game after you score at least once so that the game goes faster, meaning bad pugs end up wasting less of your time. fun way to punish bad players for queuing.
better play and you shouldnt be playing with pugs…or if you are so 1337, why even do unranked?
i really like that rewards are based on what you are doing, like i can imagine that just 50 luck,1coin and laurel isnt rly a good reward for player doing just pvp, and 600 karma is nothing for pve player… it really makes you want to do those dailies you need rather than just grind 5 easiest.
