Care to share dat build?
Dem necros spamming conditions are OP, dem necros spamming minions are OP as well.
kitten , everything a necro does is OP these days.
Sometimes you just want to take a break.
Why not chill out a bit?
Keep them frozen, and slash them with your axe!
Features:
- +100% Chill duration (90% while using Staff)
- Lots and LOTS of Chill buttons
Weaknesses:
- Anyone with a brain will roflstomp you.
Chill buttons:
- Spinal Shivers: grab your focus, aim it properly, and enjoy a 10s chill on a 16s cd!
- Dark Path: enter Death Shroud for a 10s chill button on a ~13s cd!
- Spectral Grasp: pull dat enemy to you for a 8s chill with a 24s cd!
- Chillblains: switch to your trusted staff for a ~8s chill every 16s, with the added bonus of a huge, unblockable AoE!
- Chilling Wind: assume the form of a powerful Lich to blast dem enemies away and chilling them for 6s!
- Chill of Death: hit an enemy under 25% health to give him a Spinal Shiver effect – you can do this every 20 seconds!
- Swap Weapon: as simple as that! swapping weapons will chill all enemies around you for 6 seconds!
Being a Necromancer has never been so cool!
Tiny bit more survivable but now with added burns!
More burns on crit (rabid)
Longer lasting burnage (2/2/2 burn runes)
More condition survivability (alchemy line)
Lots more might stackages (with more boon duration/juggernaut)
Naw man, Trogdor ain’t got time for WvW or PvE, he is a *sPvP*er at heart.
No tPvP, tPvP is serious business and Trogdor better stay off it.
So, Trogdor converted your build in an sPvP variant.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqalIqSVn1y3F17IBoH19u4V0D93YH/pAbB-TsAAzCpIATFmLMDYSZsyME5IyUAA
That was a quick one.
Now, Trogdor admits that your build is good, but there are a couple of issues that he doesn’t like.
Deadly Mixture with 2095 Attack is generally a bad idea.
Automated Response is very trollish-y, so Trogdor likes it, but with low, “rabid” health pool, is not so useful.
Burn duration runes are good, but 10s protection + burn everyone around you every 60 seconds, + 20% protection duration are too good to pass.
So Trogdor will for now stay with his original build. Maybe Juggernaut instead of Hair Trigger? That may be a good idea.
Thanks anyway for your feedback!
Sup?
I hereby present you a fun (albeit almost useless) build.
Trogdor the Burninator
The only feature of this build is to burn your enemies and keep them burning forever (well, until you are alive).
You are not exactly a glass cannon, have quite a few tricks up your sleeve and most importantly – YOU WILL BE HOT AS HELL, bolstering a whopping +68% burning duration.
However, you will surely perish at the hand of skilled players. So, have fun while it lasts.
Rotation: push all the buttons that have the Burning icon. (for reference: !http://wiki.guildwars2.com/images/4/45/Burning.png!). Swap frequently to Flamethrower for: 3 stacks of might, Fire Shield and other Burning buttons to push.
Oh, you can apply other conditions as well.
Strengths
- Burning: that’s it.
Weaknesses
- Conditions: they will eat you alive
- Smart players: see above
(edited by shouzama.1354)
This is, in my opinion, a bad build (honest critique, no offense intended!).
Deadly Mixture won’t be a huge DPS improvement since your power will be SO low (Rabid Amulet/Jewel), and the so-called immortality is on 90s of cooldown.
You take Elixir H without Fast-Acting Elixir, so why don’t you take Healing Turret? You get another 2 condition removal on a 15s cooldown.
I would much rather go with a
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqalIqqbn1SgF1LJRoC2Hki6eXRP0vld8nCsF-TsAAzCpIaS1krJTTymsNNE5IycBA
I believe it’s just personal preference, but Protection Injection + Stabilized Armor cover up your single, HUGE weakness: vulnerability to crowd control effects (you only have 1 stunbreaker, on a 40s cd).
What do you think?
Does boon duration affects the boons that you receive or the boons that you apply?
Edit: Btw, I’m actually thinking of going just with 2 runes of altruism and then something else.. For example 2 hoelbrak and 2 strenght, that’s 40% might duration instead if 15% boon and 20% might duration.
And this my friend will be a big mistake.
2 Altruism, 2 Hoelbrak, 2 Strength gives you 40% Might duration
4 Altruism, 2 Hoelbrak gives you 35% Might duration and 15% to other boons duration
Remember, Might is a boon, and the 15% from Altruism stacks with the 20% from Hoelbrak.
You are giving up 15% to ALL boons (hello Elixir B) for a measly 5% more Might duration. Absolutely not worth at all, believe me.
The build is in fact so strong that it can reset your account password under certain circumstances.
I know another one that deletes your character, but I can’t share it unfortunately.

I opened another thread regarding the same topic, don’t want to hijack this but I’m using it just to reinforce the statement!
MAKE THE MOUSE POINTER MORE VISIBLE and/or CUSTOMIZABLE!
Dude, that’s amazing.
I opened a post in the suggestions forums just after reading this.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Customizable-Cursor-Size-Skins-Color/first#post2660588
Please support it!
Perhaps we’ll have it inside the game instead of relying on an external tool.
It is so easy to lose sight of the cursor in the heat of the battle…
Especially if you activated Fast-Cast Ground Targeting, sometimes you lose a lot of time trying to relocate the cursor arrow
Can you please add an option to change the size/skin/color of the cursor?
I believe it will be a very fast addition, and a very useful one for many of us!
Thanks in advance.
Spent a while working out this new build, here it is:
(cut)
2x sup monk, 2x sup fire, 2x sup water runes
(cut)
Quick suggestion: remove 2x sup fire and 2x sup monk, add 4x Altruism.
Enjoy 3 (actually, 6) additional stacks of might (you lose 20% might duration, but gain 3 stacks of might) every 10 seconds (if you keep up with the swapping)
I was asking this because I usually play a mixed power bomb engineer with high sustain. Not the current meta but I find it fun to play so . . .
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQFAUlIq6d3zyuF1LJxoCdOkiCbfRP0vld8nCyF-ToAA1CtIMSZkzIjRSjsGNC5EC
However, as anyone these days, I melt under conditions when the other team has a Necro or HGH-Grenade Engineer, so I was evaluating a rapid “build switch” in case I see a strong condi pressure in the opposition.
My zomg I need a switch build could be something like:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQFAUlspSXnwSgF8LJxoCkOkiCbfRPeMld8nCrF-ToAg0CnIMSZkzIjRSjsGNC5EC
I lose a lot of mobility, I lose some protection, but I gain a lot of weirdness that I like very much :P
Thanks anyone for your answers however, I’ll let you know how this works for me (if you don’t hear anything, don’t bother trying :P)
Just a couple of quick questions: anyone knows how much damage Acidic Elixir does and how throwing an elixir triggers Static Discharge?
I mean, if I’m in melee range and I throw the elixir at my feet, will the static discharge hit someone or drop underground doing nothing at all?

I like the FT. I’ve been having a ton of fun with this SPVP build using a combo of Nades & FT. Nothing meaner than hitting a group with incendiary ammo & frost nades. Plenty of might stacking with Firewall/blast finishers. The Autoattack isn’t bad either. When you have high condition damage there is nothing wrong with hitting a group for 1.5-2k and then an additional 700 1s from burn damage.

Yeah, it’s all fun and games…
EXCEPT your linked build doesn’t use FT at all
Seems like a lot of great ideas!
I’d love to see this build in action, and would like to experiment this myself.
Thanks for sharing it!

Maybe if bomb fuse duration will depend on how long you hold skill button. For example if you just hit/spam button bomb detonate instantly but if you hold button 3s bomb fuse will have 3s delay
This may be the best idea I’ve heard in a long time.
Unfortunately, I believe it will be too complex to be implemented, but great idea nonetheless.
+1 my friend, +1
I strongly suggest to take a look at Strife’s build
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/75020-my-final-axemace-dps-dungeon-build/
I personally tried it and found it perfect.
Since I don’t run with a structured group, but I’m PUGging for the most part, I have a variant of the equipment (not of the build, only the equipment – runes and accessories)
Soldier runes (to improve my condition removal) and 2 Knight rings covered all the issues for me so far
Ah yeah, I prefer Inspiring Banners to have 100% uptime on Banner of Discipline, but if I’m not running with them I stick to Empowered (in certain situations I swap my banner for Endure Pain or Balanced Stance).
(edited by shouzama.1354)
This is indeed a nice build.
However, if I were you, I’d alternate Carrion/Rabid equipment, so to obtain:
40% crit chance
20k life
Then socket the armor with
4xAltruism
2xWater
to obtain +30% boon duration and 3 stacks of Might whenever you use your Elixir H (every 25s if possible)
Then, remove 10 points in Explosives (yeah, you lose 33% to burn for on crits, and that sucks) and put 10 more in Alchemy for HGH.
While Invigorating Speed is good (Alchemy I) maybe you should consider dropping it for Fast Acting Elixirs (Alchemy II), but again, that’s personal preference
Ok, I admit it.
I laughed my kitten off reading this thread.
So, my contribution will be to utterly spam the WvWvW battlefield with Glue Shot.
Talk about impervious terrain!
According to common knowledge, all sigils share cooldown.
This could be easily tested however, by going into Heart of the Mists.
Main hand: Sigil of Battle
Off hand: Sigil of Strength
Enter combat. Switch to a kit (Flamethrower highly recommended for this test).
You should now have 3 stacks of Might.
Attack something.
For 10 seconds, if the wiki is right, you shouldn’t be able to obtain ANY other Might procs from Sigil of Strength.
After 10 seconds, you should start seeing some Might stacking from the now-active Sigil of Strength.
I’ll do it myself… But I’m @ work right now.
Actually, no, they stack multiplicatively.
You will get a better chance to proc, however (~51%).

man, I almost kitten in my pants
I approve wholeheartedly!

Hat off, OP.
This topic should be brought to ANET attention as fast as possible
You can also try Crests – while Runes remain IMHO superior, Crests are a fairly cheap and viable alternative.

Which is better: 10% more GS dmg+100 Pwr or 10% Crit dmg with Heightend Senses?
in Warrior

I spent some time trying to decipher what was “heighted senses” (or “heightened senses”).
Well, turns out they were talking about Heightened Focus
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Heightened_Focus
Jeez guys…
Posting this for other fellow puzzled warriors
It’s not a bug, but a feature.
The super mental power of the Engineers allow them to have their shield FLOAT using telekinesis.
That’s how powerful Engineers are!
According to the discussion on the wiki:
Probably all the same conditions that are listed in traits that activate upon “disable”, such as Hard to Catch – “stun, daze, float, knock down, launch, knock back, sink, or fear”.

Reference 2: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hard_to_Catch
I’d however like to know if that’s correct or was tested by someone
