Piken is not dead, most of the guilds are taking a break from the game due holidays and won’t be back until the year has changed. You could always join the Piken community forums and be up to date on what’s going on instead of making silly topics like this. Outside of reset having a queue only on EB and occasional homemap queue has been the state of the server for quite a long time now anyways so put that tin foil hat down, it doesn’t suit you.

Whole Judge was running with lowbie asura ellies, lots of bzzbzzbzbzzing and fire aoe all over the place. Also lots of floor tanking and lols in TS when we actually managed to take a tower! Think the most absurd moment was when we got hit by UNTY and while we were fighting suddenly a horde of FURY bulls runs through us. Thank you for the lols and rofls, was awesome :>

Just going to repost your reply from another topic Wondrous, as I think it’s really important for the devs to see why the pets sucks so much. If pets are supposed to do 30% of our damage it’s ridiculous how badly they do against such a simple thing as a golem.

There is still this thread LINK that was done by Firelysm several months ago on pet DPS against the moving Golem in Heart of the Mists.

Data should only be skewed in regards to Bristleback and Smokescale as they were the only 2 Pets altered in some way since then, so the rest of it should hold up.

That video is just… Woah. “Trolololol we are going to make necros so op you all will cry and run” and at the same time “Ranger can go away from the keyboard while the pet eats warriors face! We need to nerf them!” What on earth? Really now? Just when we are in semi o-kay state, we are getting nerfed because there are some brain dead people out there who have no idea what they are doing and at the same time they admit they are going to boost some other class to near god like state and then laugh about it? BALANCE! It works btches!

I love how most of the people here say “Ohhhh stop qqing! Rangers are amazing in wv3!!!1! You can use traps and slowdowns and maybe throw some snot in the enemy’s face to help YOUR FRIENDS to bring them down”. You are not doing it yourself because you can’t and that’s the main problem for me.

No armor repair cost was pretty much the only good perk in the outmanned buff but since repair costs got removed from the game altogether, any plans on replacing that with something useful?

We had that going on last week and it’s only good that they are getting farmed now, maybe they learn something out of this! Karma is a beeyotch dot com.

F2P Aion didn’t have mapchat unless you paid for a monthly sub and that game was really confusing at times. Survived through it all with my ol’ trusty sidekick Google, I’m sure the youngsters of today are able to use it as well.

Amen! I guess that’s the only thing a ranger does better than other classes.

I’m using a bunker build and while running with a group of 4 people, the enemies tends to go for me even tho I have maxed out my mobility and my team mates would be prolly easier to take down. But no, must chase that bouncing ranger thing while my team mates goes pew pew!

Idk about the siege on bodies, I THINK that JDGE started that when we met FSP and started “ramming”(putting ram buildsite on the corpse) a guild called [Lion] that we thought were pricks. It got pretty widely known and we got donated like 500 ram bps, alot of them from AG and FSP aswell haha. After that it has grown I think.

I think after that Frou influenced us to ram [BORD] XD

Legendaries require Badges of Honor because you’re expected to put some time into helping your server to earn them.

As it stands, the WvW JPs encourage lazy PvEers to slowly grind their BoH over a month or two rather than invest in a few rounds of WvW and actually contribute as was intended.

People who camp the JP for the sole purpose of griefing PvEers are trolltastic heroes. WvW is large-scale PvP. The JPs are on WvW maps; the JPs are PvP. If you can’t manage fights along course of the puzzle, you’re not skilled enough for any kind of PvP. If you get killed by campers at the end and your response is to come on the forums and moan about it rather than going out and getting Badges of Honor by aiding your server and PvPing in a PvP zone, you’ve got a chronic case of childish entitlement.

I’d really love it if Anet removed Badges of Jumping or put some kind of required WvW contribution with a daily reset before you could access the puzzle.

No but to be serious, the time you spent on creating this topic you could’ve easily farmed 10-20 badges already.. That’s if you actually helped your server, for example by flipping camps instead of tanking the floor in JP!

Aw man, this is all we needed. WvW is finally perfect now, wouldn’t change a thing anymore.

Gandarians aren’t exactly any better than RS when it comes to standing inside the towers or on the walls when there are few enemies out there, laying siege that we need to take down. More than once it’s been just me charging into the enemy group that could easily be countered if we did it together, just to notice that rest of my fellow server mates are still running on the walls doing nothing productive. Not to mention our people seem to have this mentality that it’s better to let the walls fall and fill the lord’s room with siege rather than having a proper fight outside. Stop being such hypocrites and drop this silly flaming towards RS, thank you very much.

Most of the animals are currently located under WvW discussion subforum. I don’t think they are tameable tho and I wouldn’t suggest to pet them. They bite and if you feed them nuts, they will throw ’em right back at you.

You have no idea how traumatizing it is to be a ranger, because the pet constantly follows you! I’m pretty sure the bear ranger is just trying to get rid of the pet by sending it to you, hoping it would follow you home and leave the poor ranger alone instead. #scarred4lyfe.

I want them to be friendly, like in Disney movies. I want them to dance and sing with me! And then kill everyone.

They said the 5vs5 Guild Teams and leaderboard was meant for structured PvP, so I don’t think it applies to this arena.

They also mentioned that they haven’t decided the exact size yet and now that we have active WvW specialists here we can get our concerns heard. Instead of saying things like blaargh this sucks not good enough won’t buy expansion anet sucks, giving actual constructive feedback we may indeed get the GvG arena the community wants.

The new meta is to solo roam together with everyone else in EB.

Oh yea — can someone explain to me how stab can create lag? I was on TS listening to the map channel talk about the lag and they were saying something like multiple maps, stab change, etc.. wasn’t really following..

It’s not even tied to SM fights like it used to before the patch. Now it happens on the BLs as well: somewhere orange crosses pops out and everything just stops, no skills can be used, dollies are twitching and they are moving in slowmotion. Doesn’t even matter if you are right next to the big fight or on the opposite side of the map.

I salute you because you actually want to learn to use the sword rather than making a whiny topic how stupid it is and how it should be changed. I truly hope you master the art that is the bouncy madness of 1 handed sword.

Log on your mesmer, portal people into your basement and don’t let them out until they have joined your guild.

This is a good discussion, I hope this keeps up. I would say ANet can’t ignore us forever, however we as a community have been in full agreement about certain ranger issues for awhile with no acknowledgement ever. So…. I guess all we can do is keep it up.

They have been doing exactly that whole time and will most likely continue doing so. By the looks of it we will prolly get Aquaman part 3 patch as an exchange for the nerfed pet DPS.

These sotg videos always makes me really sad since there isn’t anyone out there putting up a fight or standing up for us. So my next question would be where’s Robert? What happened to all the amazing suggestions we piled up for him to present for the team? Did every single suggestion get ruled out? He got the agony resistance added in and hotm pets fixed but they are broken yet again. I know he said he can only bring things up and he is not the one making the decisions, but since he is the only member in the team playing a ranger, I don’t really have any hope for him being the saviour of ranger class.

I still keep on spamming my area loot button without realising, it’s going to take some time to get used to this. Great change tho!

Some rangers are excellent at irritating other people by knocking things away from melee. It seems like we got this stealth ninja elite skill added, not sure if it’s a nerf or a buff.
