I seem to have no issue beating them and I am hammer, I lack the burst but, this build is insanely easy to read. L2P and try paying attention.

Been saying this for awhile now. I can’t believe we, Warriors, as the most highly telegraphed, and best designed class, imo. Get hit with alll these changes to make us even more highly telegraphed when things that have absolutely ZERO counterplay, such as ele s/d burst etc are still around.

We used mace, it went from being overused to never used. I forsee the same thing happening to longbow. It’s a trend with all of our weapons.

Next will be kitten channeling time for HB, Earthshaker, and Eviscerate. As well as an audible shout letting the enemy know which attack I am about to use.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not screaming broken, but, with conditions being so ridiculously prevalent in the game, with no REAL active counters aside from the occasional cleanses etc, or stat/stat combo that defends against condis and no real drawback or penalty for going conditions, I think it’s safe to say blind needs to be looked at as it completely shuts down melee.

Power users can already be at a massive disadvantage when it comes to facing condition users as it is. Attrition will always win, especially when such stats as condition dmg are paired with other major defensive stats such as both toughness and vitality with no real penalty.

I understand Anet has taken steps towards improving such spammable conditions such as dhuumfire etc <bravo about time> but certain things should be either re addressed or overhauled.

Blind is that one condition that really makes or breaks a fight for me, on any melee class, it never fails, that one key skill that can sway the tide of the fight, goes and 100% misses flat out causes me to waste massive weapon CD’s.

I just think, and this is only my opinion as a frustrated melee character, that blind should be toned down to maybe 50-75% miss rate, decrease the time intervals for which is pulses, or something of the like.

IDC if it’s 99% shutdown, just give me that 1% chance to hit with a skill. That’s all i need. Even GW1 had blinds cap at 90% miss i believe.

No it is not wrong, it is my decision to consider sth. passive. And a trait that provides passive 7,5k heal over 15 seconds for a minimal action is in my eyes passive not active.

I think we are all aware even basic math eludes you. You can argue the differences between the two until you’re blue in the face.

For example, if I actively punch you in the face, and knock your teeth out, the active action is me punching you, the result is you missing teeth and drinking through a straw. There is always an effect resulting from an action.

Getting back to the OP: so you won’t be getting Legendary Armor. I’m not sure why anyone thought that legendary armor would be something that the majority of people could get by so-called casual play. Heck, even making the gen 1 legendary weapons require time, patience, and some level of organization on the player’s part.

But it’s attainable solo you muppet.

My GF has Triple B’s and they work better than this.

Last Stand should reduce recharge of stances, surprised it doesn’t.

It’s really not hard to focus a pet, I remember Puandro telling me he was out and about, had 20+ stacks of MB on his pet and he was fighting a thief or something, the thief disengaged, and re-engaged with his buddy showed up, they focused down the pet ina matter of 1-2 seconds.

Xsorus is correct, they are an issue because people let them be an issue. I hate to keep using it as an example, but DAoC, in competetive 8v8 pet clearing and focusing were absolutely essential to keep pet classses at bay and force them to make decision, swap pets, recast pets, reposition etc, it was a constant battle throughout the fight to keep pets at bay and force the caster or user to make tough decisions, if you didnt, it was over.

It blows my mind that these “top” teams can’t focus down or call for an assist to focus fire down a pet to make the ranger either swap or the pet dies and forces an insanely long pet swap downtime.

If anything it seems like they are dumbing down spvp or competitive play and make it so the players have less to do as far as strategy goes, and just more facebashing on the keyboard for teh winz.

I’m never on a kittening node in WvWvW, I’m against the odds, all the time, as is any roamer, why the hell do I have to take a hit just because I choose to be outnumbered? It’s the way I prefer to play.

You have to ACTIVATE AND HIT with f1 to get the regen.

Prettttttttttty sure there’s nothing passive about it, you’re literally ACTIVATING a skill to get the bonus that comes from the effect.

Just like you have to ACTIVATE EP for it to give you the effect.

You don’t get Adrenal Health by not doing anything.

What I wanted to see:

1) F1 converting condis to boons
2) Dogged march+Warriors sprint combined
3) Some way to better handle condis

New change is great, but, requires landing of F1, and we still have limited access to protection where as other classes, like Druids and Eles can practically keep it up entirely.

We are still so far behind in terms of long game sustain.

How else will I look the coolest and pick up pixelated women?

Can keep 20-25 stacks 18 on average on a player, only had guard SS bc I always forget to take them mid fight.

This is my Warrior. I run 0/20/20/0/30. Knight armor/shield. Zerker weps, and Rest Cavalier.

I use Lemongrass+ Melandru+Dogged March and sharp stones.

I’m a solo roamer in wvw. This build is in fact, OP, but not in the sense you mean it, in spvp not really, it however does make an excellent duelist build.. I can stand in necro wells, eat ranger traps etc etc. I have not lost a single 1v1 since the change. Cripple doesn’t stop me, CC doesn’t really stop me, nothing really stops me. I can replace Bulls Charge with whatever I want. Still 100% crit dmg while stunned + 10% dmg to stunned targets.

It is a very powerful duelist build, but that’s pretty much it. If I face any 2+ well played opponents nothing really helps, and that goes for any class,build.

But having close to 4k armor with mace/shield doesn’t hurt either. =)

-Condition has always been far too easy to apply, reapply, and offers no immunity timer.
-The damage is horrendous and stackable
-There aren’t enough cleanses for some classes
-Condition needs ONE stat, ONE STAT to make it good.
-Power needs at least 3 making everyone super glass
-Spammable
-Aoe
-Eats through things like Endure Pain
-Completely disregards protection

So, I’ll say again, what exactly is NOT op or broken about conditions? Weve been through this condi meta for years, despite “nerfs” here we are, still being destroyed by simple application from range.

Where as I, a power Warrior, have to physically hit you through protection , blocks, dodges, blind, cripple, hard CC, soft cc, chill, etc

Where exactly do you not see the issue?

Hey guys. so I know absolutely nothing about Eles, not going to lie. I wanted a build that I can solo roam with in WvW and have good sustain as well as damage in 1vx fights.

If you can comment, correct, advise, suggest etc anything that would make this better for a solo roamer, feel free.

Its a shame Dag#4 isnt more like the theif’s S/D#3.

They are the same animation and essentially the same attack, only the thieves verson will move you much further forward to strike your target if needs be, we’re talking like 300-400 range forward

That’s what I’m saying, my dagger 4 has a thief like sword Animation that resembles larcenous strike, I’l literally spinning around and moving several units towards my target, I don’t have to be close to them at all. when I hit it, all of a sudden I’m advancing very far towards my target, not just spinning around. Been playing Ranger since Nov, It’s different.

Here is the armor damage reduction formula.

((Armor-1836)/Armor)*100 = DR

1836 is because that is the base value for light armor classes.

For a warrior with 0 toughness you get 2127 armor, thats 13.68 Damage reduction.

Then there is effective health. This means how much damage you have to take before you die.

Health*Armor/1836 = EH

Warriors have 18372 Health

If you receive 0 healing then that means warriors have 21284 EH.

Now lets take my build 3667 Armor with your hammer out, we will ignore thick skin as its only active above 90% health and lets ignore the armor bonus from the shield. We will assume Dolyak Signet is up though.

3,667 Armor and 18,372 Health (no WvW bonuses).

49.93% DR
36,694 EH

Now lets a zerk warrior build which runs only 3,186 armor and 18,372 Health

42.37% DR
31,881 EH

This means that you will take 4,813 more damage to go from 100-0.

Lets assume you live for 2 minutes, signet + Adrenal health is about 530 HPS. Thats 63,600 health (assuming no poison ect) and we will add that to your 18,372 base health.

So I live 15-25%% longer than someone who runs glass.

Everyone has their playstyles. It’s not the 1v1’s I care about, those are fine, it’s the multiples I like to survive against.

This is exactly what I’m talking about. We aren’t really anything seeing as that Eles and cloth wearers can be just as tanky. The normal laws of other mmos don’t apply here. Everyone compares apples to oranges.

Theres literally zero death penalty or a bonus t-shirt for getting away from zergs. I came from an MMO that I soloed in for 10 years, got zerged constantly, with massive death penalties, and 15-20mins of rebuffing and boating.

Dying to zergs doesn’t bother me with the 15second return to pvp time.
