Mystic forge: 6-700g = 0 precursors.

Open world farming: 3,685 hours of which most spent in dungeons and different farming event = 0 precursors

Trading Post: Howl, Tooth of Frostfang and Leaf of Kudzu, all bought with money made from the dungeons/events.

Of course they have “stuff” under work but the question is will that bring us actually good content for endgame pve/pvp/wvw or will it be another trait/NPE fiasco that no one asked for.

Stuff like this happens because there is virtually no communication between developers/artists and their customers. Give us polls, previews, public test servers so we could see what you are planning to do and then give you constructive feedback instead of just suddenly putting something in the game which turns out to be worse than it was before.

The reason why you didn’t see any feedback on the looks of the old armors was because people didn’t see anything to complain about and were happily playing the game. Only the very small minority come to the forums asking for changes.

You are running around wearing heavy plated armor with a dozen extra weapons and endless amounts of loot in your bags (which consists mostly from even more armors and weapons).

I’d say you can stay in a pretty fit condition after hauling all that around Tyria.

1. Open your LFG tool.
2. Post a LFG saying: “Path X, no skipping, no stacking, casual run everyone welcome”
3. ???
4. Profit!

Poster number one is a PvE player that wants extra survivability.

Poster number two is a PvP player that uses it to stick to the target and keeping him permanently crippled.

Because many people with me amongst them had spent huge amounts of time and money to get the looks they want and then they went ahead and changed them. Now they are at least a bit closer to what they were.

This is excellent work. Ive read posts on this upcoming change in the sylvari section where they explained exactly how hard it is to make this kind of update and the flat-out truth is that you ought to be grateful. They put in a lot of work to make the sylvari glow work and it should be appreciated. I know we’re all very sorry that YOUR special combination of dyes that was just PERFECT before no longer looks the same. But I’m afraid youre just gonna have to find something else that works….

And another thing: this kind of update took several months to get released since its inception, if you try and make them rework it again: not only will you not see it for quite a while, but you might like it less. Not to mention the fact that many of us like myself really like the changes.

Bottom line: Bite the bullet and get used to the change. There are new combinations to explore and ONE of them will meet your needs. Thank anet for responding to our cries for this change and make it work.

The thing is that they never should change stuff that has been untouched for 14 months without any communication. I bought my t3 armor knowing that it’d look exactly like that, I bought the dyes knowing they would work like that with the armor hell I even bought multiple makeover kits to make my character just perfect for my tastes. And now all that gold and gems are worthless to me since I can’t get the same look that I’ve been perfecting for the past year.

They are shortening Halloween because it was too confusing and overwhelming for new players.

Or just make the dyes unlocked on your account available to be used as hair/accessory colors.

The whole point of this backpiece is to make players go out into the world and do content they might not have done before and mists essence is part of that. If you want the backpiece so badly then such it up and do level 1 fractal for the daily pristine relic for 5 days and you’ll have your shinies.

This is the same thing as WvW season reward weapons. Only way to get them was if you completed the tournament meta and got the reward chest. I’m not a big fan of WvW but I wanted some of the skins badly so instead of coming on the forums demanding them to be available by some other means I just hopped into our borderland, joined TS and had a generally good time getting familiar with content that I don’t normally do.

Please add his banter under player instrument volume slider so those who do not wish to hear it’s incoherent ramblings can do so without losing out any valuable in-game audio.

One rule I do have is to follow the requirements of the LFG. If the group only asks for a certain comp or gear or builds and I don’t want to follow the requirements of that LFG, I simply don’t join that group. And there is always another group ready to play that doesn’t have those requirements.

This answers your own question. Most people who come on the forums to complain about being kicked just didn’t read the LFG or fulfill it’s requirements thus end up kicked. I am a dirty evil elitist that advertises LFG in the usual “path x/fractal level, meta dps gear/builds, link gear on join” and can’t even count the amount of ppl whispering me for getting kicked because they do not meet my requirements.

They are just jealous of our fabulously good looks.

Only place where ranger is handicapped at the moment is large scale zerg fighting in wvw. Other than that we are pretty much top tier in PvE and sPvP content.

Frost spirit/spotter ranger who knows how to use the sword is one of the most useful companions in a dungeon and bunker ranger be it spirit or BM are probably the best home point defenders in sPvP.

And for the 12986459185th time the pets are here to stay as our profession mechanic and no matter how much people will whine it’s not going to change.

Retaliation dmg should scale based on the dmg done so one big hit would suffer as much as multiple small hits. As it is retaliation is horribly broken towards everyone that uses AoE.

GW1 =/= GW2

Maybe someday people might learn the difference.

Or get rid of the gemstore bit and actually put content/armors/skins behind rewarding in-game content instead of shoving everything behind a price tag.

While I would love to see more sylvari armor I’d really hate to see them put into the gemstore.

I’ve spent over 2,5k hours and probably over 3k gold to get the looks on my main and with this all of that goes down the drain.

I like the wings of Dwayna exactly because they are rather small. They look good and are not overly flamboyant like the holographic wings or Tequatl wings.

This exactly. PvP has glorious armors and balthazar backpiece, PvE has fractal weapons and lumi/carapace armors and WvW has Mistforged and Hero’s weapons. There needs to be some exclusivity in items to drive people to try other game modes.

Kinda hard to take you seriously when you just throw random numbers around. Full light armor sets costs less than 600g to craft and considering how easy it is to get money these days it’s not that much.
