You see, the deep sea dragon’s tentacles have smaller tentacles and those tentacles have even smaller tentacles.
Japan called, they want their Dragon back.
Sorry, I dont play guard, what is the bug?
Guardians had a trait that increased their damage by 10% when the target was in a symbol and it was bugged so it counted that +10% boost from every symbol affecting the target. People abused it in masse by piling on guardians with hammers that produce symbols at the end of each autoattack chain.
End result was that a single guardian could do more dmg than 10 people of any other class in places like tequatl and wvw.
I can see the benefit of that, but it would def have an unfair advantage for people who do not run dungeons, to get such a large xp consumable. Especially considering many dungeons can be speed cleared very quickly. Using an 80 and then trasfering those cons to a low lvl, idk think its a bit too much.
You can already give the final xp to your alt by swapping at the end of the dungeon. This suggestion would only make that more user friendly.
Yay for more time gating!
But seriously tho.

This is because you have signet of fire equipped as an underwater skill at the same slot as your LH is. So when you swap it out it takes the same cooldown as LH. Easiest fix is to just put some useless skills as your underwater skills.
^ Same opinion as the above poster, green is far more eye straining for me than the old black one was.
I love it when people go with “afaik” feelings instead of having actual evidence to backup their claims, certainly makes for interesting discussion.
Everyone else is too busy tanking their MMR for easy wins. :v
Ah I see so axe torch first set then just axe in second set and it’ll act like I have a torch there. Is there any downside to this? Less stats or whatever?
Do it like this and you won’t have to get 2nd axe or torch and can still use weapon swap as normal.
One thing i would really like to see is a numerical pet health bar similar to what the Necros got in the last patch.
How about you hippies stop bickering about this before some over zealous mod comes and closes this thread.
Different strokes for different folks. I for one find the legendary longbow and shortbow to be couple of my favourite legendaries in this game.
Don’t bother with petitions. They are against forum rules and will get removed.
Equipment needed: 1 Legendary weapon (we shall use a Bitfrost for this demonstration), 1 white staff, 1 transmutation crystal and 1 transmutation splitter.
1. Transmute your Bitfrost to the white staff using the transmutation crystal thus making it account bound.
2. Transfer the new account bound weapon and the transmutation splitter to your other character trough your bank.
3. Use the transmutation splitter with the white staff on your new character to regain its legendary stats and properties and making it soulbound in the progress.
Impossible. Mystic forge will only upgrade items to the next rarity tier so in order to get precursors you’d need to use rares and exotics.

It’s mostly just PR talk to sooth the masses and give them something else to think of.
If NPC collision was so important then why do they give us an option to turn it off with a press of a button?
I do not follow. Are you refering to Camera collision? I don’t see an option to turn off NPC collision.
It amazes me how mad people get when Anet decides to offer bonuses for buying Gems. They aren’t forcing you to buy Gems to play this game. Just like when they offered Gem Store discounts for items these past three days. It’s all optional. If you buy X amount of Gems, get bonus goodie. Pretty simple marketing tactic. It’s a different story if Anet put it up for sale for 4k Gems.
Players need to realize that it’s their own desires that drives the decision on whether to buy Gems for the mini or not. Are you a collector, and desperately need Mr. Sparkles to complete your set? Are you a completionist that needs to fill every blank slot in your bank? Or are you an asura fanatic that must have an epic golem to show off in game? Last I checked, Anet isn’t responsible for our psychological profiles.
I’m sorry but what you say is out of place.
Giving for free and promoting those who buy gems is one thing. Forcing people who collect minis to buy 4k gems in 1 month?!Really?
REALLY?!I respected them a lot when they promoted buying gems with free minis. You could get them anyway and those who supported the game had them extra.
When they changed it to free gifts only for those who will spend money when we tell them to – I LOST MY RESPECT FOR ANET.So think again what you write. Look on what changed in the way they operate.
I’m glad I don’t collect those special minis since I only bought 2k gems and 4k gems is too much for me in December. I would basically rage.
Is someone forcing you at gunpoint to buy those gems to get that mini?
If not then stop whining.
Anet never ceases to amaze me how disconnect they are from their playerbase.
Ooh snazzy title and all that jazz. Good luck in your new duty. :)
Anyone doing it should be banned but ANet doesn’t give a kitten about it so nothing will get done about it.
For future reference.
Avoiding mechanics by standing in a singular area isn’t an exploit, it’s possible bad dungeon design (for example the cage room in the newer flame and frost fractal…sorry I can’t remember the name of the dungeon it’s late). In that fight there are areas in which you can avoid almost the entire fight mechanic, that’s an example of poor dungeon mechanic design.
Standing on a rock/ledge/platform while the boss attempts to hit you from below (yes there are some bosses that still have abilities that hit you), is a problem with pathing and the boss not resetting when it can’t reach the target. This is exploiting a bug.
Kiting and using geometry (running AROUND pillars and such) is a perfectly valid tactic.
Standing outside a stationary boss’s range is not an exploit, the boss “should” reset after an extended period of time, but is not. This is an example of poor boss implementation, and not an exploit.
Using terrain to block/dodge boss mechanics is also considered a valid tactic (standing behind a pillar when a boss charges).
At this point we are getting very nitpicky at each individual boss and each mechanic in question. I’m sure most of you are aware of what is an exploit and what is a mechanic/tactic. We are working on fixing these “Safe Spots”, but it’s going to take some time to get it done, and will probably happen over time. (Sorry I am not going to go into particulars for fights/changes)
I’ll be very clear here:
If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot”, that player will be moved out of the safe spot and warned (via in-game text). If they are caught again, that account will be temporarily suspended. If a GM finds a player that is using a “Safe Spot” and selling the dungeon run, that account will be temporarily suspended without warning.

What’s a chance for fractal tonic?
Between zero and none.
I play how I want.
They start dropping from lvl 11 onwards. Droprates are rather bad on lower levels but when you get to +40 tier you start to see about 1/10 chance for an armor box.
Here is our guilds droprate spreadsheet for fractal droprates on each daily tier.

I know how protection works I’ve been playing since beta. What I’m saying due to the recent changes to vulnerability working with condition damage Protection should work against condition damage. Its a fair trade-off.
Going by that logic resistance should work against direct dmg then too.
10 hammer guards ftw.
AP, Tomes of Knowledge, Pristine relics, Xp scrolls. There’s quite a lot of useful items for 10 minutes of work.
Who knows maybe the pets have their own secret wallet stashed up with all that karma and gold. :P
Or just you know, get decent gear so you can tag the mobs.
Champ farm trains are fine, they give the farmer players something to do without disturbing the rest of the people out on the world.
Play a guardian, solo the whole fractal. Your welcome.
*You’re
Also to the OP. PUG groups can’t do proper speedruns.
Just make sure they are not the same chickens that they have in Ebonhawke…
Or you could just stop running trough the ring of fire repeatedly and not get 17 burning stacks on you. Or completely ignored that DD ele and fought on some other point.
use forage with your pig and you can have healing seed too
but i have only ever seen 1 person in game with a pig for a pet, and that was me.
There might be a reason for that…
Make your own group. Don’t tell others how they should play.
And watching the same cutscenes for the hundredth time isn’t fun.
And new players shouldn’t join a run with the quoted description.1) That’s my point – if dungeons are nothing but speedruns with fixed rewards, players have to rewatch cutscenes a million times. Rather than making dungeons take 21 speedruns to get a full set of rewards, make it so that if players spend an hour in the dungeon not speedrunning, they get a lot bigger reward than the speedrunners got. Ultimately it takes roughly the same amount of time to get a full set, but you’ve opened up a play style that is currently unavailable.
2) I agree that new players shouldn’t join the run with the quoted description. That description also happens to be the decription for 95% of the pugs for every dungeon, all the time.
There is virtually NO acceptance of new players, and MOST pugs are hostile to someone who doesn’t already know what they’re doing. This needs to change. If you want dungeon speedruns why not go do fractals? Why should new players below 80 be discouraged from participating in roughly 1/4 of the content available to them before they hit 80?
Newbies can just as well go do fractals because they scale everyone to lvl 80.
O.o I just found out people are unhappy that they have to fractal to get the “new” back item.
Lilith; I’m post in the threads, hopefully they will come to us for help
They are unhappy because they have to get out of their casual comfort zone of spamming auto attack in WvW/PvE zergs to actually putting in effort to get some shinies.
Queen Jenna should also invest in some shoes. Poor gal has been barefooted for almost 2 years now.
If you camping 1200+ spot you not getting any party buffs and not providing any buffs for party. This is the reason to be insta kicked in a good group. Any weapon that can only be used at 300+ range is very selfish by nature and useless in party from a team play perspective.
You can blame players but imho blame is on you, and I used to main a ranger and kinda know what I’m talking about
This.
You are using one of the most selfish builds in this game and playing with pugs “just for fun”. And then you wonder how rangers have managed to get such reputation.
Even if you put down your frost spirit in range of your groups melee players then either A they’ll be missing out on your spotter which is one of the 2 unique and useful party supports that we have because you are camping at +1000 range or B you are in range with spotter to support your team but then your LB will do a subpar DPS and you might as well be in melee range with your sword/warhorn & dagger to provide the max possible amount of DPS available to us.
Because it’s buggy and doesn’t work for 99% of people. I have every fractal skin and still don’t have that collection. It’s been reported to Anet several times but they just don’t give a kitten.
As a mainly PvE player the first thing I’m going to check is Frost Spirit. If they fixed the ICD on that I might as well jump the boat and main some other profession.
For the love of all humanity, if you show a dungeon run on the stream, please DO NOT run a bearbow set up and chill at 1200 range with a longbow…
Don’t worry. They’ll be chilling at 1500 range to maximize the effectiveness of the longbow.
10/10 exactly my thoughts, almost as if you’re reading my mind. >:o
It makes my RP walking feel unnatural. I suggest we nerf it to give vitality instead.
This won’t change anything on a bigger scale. Pets will still be as useless in WvW because they can’t mitigate AoE dmg, ranger will still be an outcast in WvW because of the lack of any real group support/area effect. We will still pigeonholed into one passive build in sPvP because we need 30 trait points in one tree to make any of our utilities useful, not to talk about condition removal. And lastly due to the sword rooting no one is using the only good dps weapon for pve because it takes just too much effort compared to other classes.
You can always salvage shards to globs and globs to vials trough the mystic forge. Just check the recipe on the wiki.
