And this nerf like pretty much all others hits shiro/mallyx and ventari/glint way more than shiro/glint… Way to go ANET!!

In unranked, Capricorn, 4 running and capping home base and staying there …. ALL the time, every match…
I’m matched with very new players, why? I have over 2k matches played, dragon rank and I just don’t get it.
New Players got Average MMR when that start.
Many did ask to lower the starting MMR of new account. But Sales dept, think that it’s good business to get main account, buy new account to feel better.
It’s not about skills bro, it’s all about where you stand on the MMR scale. (mainly because pver population is 2000x bigger than spvper pop)
Argument for average starting MMR is that their MMR will converge faster to the proper value. Which is correct.
Doesn’t stop it from being a kitten.

So, are there attainable ascended trinkets for the new combos? (Doesn’t see any at laurel vendor.)
They seem to be obtainable similarly to Nomad and Sinister by doing content within that map (and for story meta reward ).

Flippin hell on the wiki it says that Stability is also used to counter stuff that prevents movement, like immobile.
I believe you misinterpreted it. The list given in the description is accurate though.
Cannot be knocked down, pushed back, pulled, launched, stunned, dazed, floated, sunk, feared or taunted.

Hi guys while the other topic focused on simple changes that would make Ventari more viable while still somewhat UP. This topic focuses on revamping to promote more build diversity.
Legendary Centaur Stance
These changes are aimed at making the tablet more effective and reliable by reducing the clunkiness and reducing the gap in healing between Ventari and druids/tempests.
Remove summoning. Tablet it automatically summoned at your location when you use a legendary centaur stance skill.
- Ventari’s Will
Instant cast and increase the modifier to 0.5 (from 0.4)
- Natural Harmony
Give it a 1 sec cast time, decrease cooldown to 1 sec, remove the delay and increase the modifier to 1 (from 0.6).
This change is aimed at preserving CC as a counter while giving us our much needed burst heal for raids.
- Purifying Harmony
AoE stunbreak centered around the tablet (If enhanced bulwark is removed) . Decrease energy cost to 25.
- Energy expulsion
Increase energy cost to 40 to compensate for not having to re-summon the tablet.
Salvation
These changes are aimed at making the control line more viable. Changing underused traits and allowing “Ventari camping” to be a viable play style while increasing our healing.
Minor
- Hardened Foundations
Change it to Toughness->Healing Power 7%
- Serene Rejuvenation
Increase to it to 20% outgoing healing.
Adept
- Nourishing Roots
Give it a “Increase regeneration effectiveness by 15%”. Move it to master tier instead of Eluding Nullification.
Put tranquil benediction in its place.
This change should allow us to heal more than 5 targets better getting closer to the performance of druids/tempest while making “Ventari Camping” viable.
Master
- Eluding Nullification
Remove this trait.
This trait in its current state is useless but it might in the future increase our sustain too much.
Grand Master
- Momentary Pacification
Enemy skills that you interrupt have their cooldown increased by 10 seconds. Immobilize enemies that you interrupt (1sec).
Similar to power block should work well with staff 2 and with our access to hard CC.
Staff
- Punishing sweep
Increase energy cost to 10. Reduce cast time to 1/2 and make it daze 1/2 seconds. Remove the weakness. - Debilitating slam
Reduce energy cost to 10. Increase cast time to 1/2.Remove daze. Give it the weakness.
Note remove enhanced bulwark this trait does not fit the traitline and is a great part of what makes retribution and herald required traitlines for the revenant. Compensate Jalis for the increased CC vulnerability. The compensation for Ventari is under Purifying Essence.

Nope a simpler and better solution is removing the cast time in sumoning and moving and removing that delay on movement. Keeps the flavor and increases the skill ceiling.

It is a “solid” class for PvP but far from OP, just a really solid competitive choice for a power build although it gets hard countered by any condition build.
In PvE they are easily replaceable because their DPS isn’t that great anymore. I’ve noticed that raid groups started completely replacing Revs a while ago after the huge AA nerf they got a while ago.
Any raid leader that replaces a Herald is an idiot. 50% boon duration = 50% more quickness, and that facet makes it so you don’t even need to might stack yourself and can spam more sword #2 before switching to Jalis to recharge.
The AA nerf wasn’t even a sustained DPS nerf, their DPS actually went up in any circumstance where they could land the 3 projectiles from Precision Strike, which is pretty much every boss.
Herald tested DPS is 30k. That’s only behind Tempest and Daredevil. They are the third highest DPS class with might+fury stacking, strong break bar destruction, 50% boon duration, 150 ferocity aura for the group, and on demand ranged protection and a 50% reduced damage intake elite on demand.
No class can actually beat that level of combined utility and damage. Eles and thieves are pure DPS classes with far inferior utility.
I wouldn’t recommend using precision strike due to the bug it’s weaker than just using AA.
You might want to test it on the DPS golemhttps://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/4ft01q/qt_dps_benchmarkstests_for_all_classes/
I think you need to l2r…

Why does the Revenant does not have a profession specific attribute? Why doesn’t Invocation give a bonus on his engergy threshold for instance?
Every other classes are able to get some boni for either using a certain type of weapons or skills or for their profession’s mechanism.Let’s give an example:
Thiefs work with initiative for their weapons skills, which have no cooldowns, and cooldown timers for their non-weapon skills. Through different traits, Thiefs can either increase their initiative threshold and gain or reduce the cooldowns of their skill sets. Or both.
Revenants on the other hand have to work with both, energy and cooldown timers, for all of their skills (weapon and non-weapon ones). They can neither reduce their cooldowns nor increase their energy threshold or gain.I beg you, add some options for Revenants to have at least a better energy management. Make Invocation add one or two bars of energy (on both sides of the threshold) through some minior traits.
Or in other words:
Give Revenants a profession attribut!
Can someone copy paste the explanation on why energy increasing traits are bad, please? The profession attribute system doesn’t really exist anymore it was from a practical point of view removed during the specialization patch.

I may not know much, but IMO the problem with Ventari in pve is that it doesn’t bring any utility to the party nor it’s particulary better at healing. Keeping facet of nature up makes healing more difficult for a difficult healing class and you are taking the job that a zerk revenant can do.
Ventari needs to have a little bit lower skill floor and bring it’s own utilities for people to take it to raids. Salvation also needs a rework because it’s just healing modifiers.
Some ideas:
-Tablet is up since the moment you change to Ventari. The tablet follows you just providing it’s light healing, but if you want to heal properly you must use it manually. #0 could be the way to reset your tablet so that moves with you. From my point of view, this could help it’s clunkiness.
-Energy expulsion is never used because provides healing by energy fragments and the cc is poor compared to Chaotic release, so a rework could be actually in place at least for pve.
-Protective Solace heals per blocked projectile.
-Natural harmony is no longer delayed.
-Ventari won’t ever bring damage buffs, because it’s all about peace. For the same matter, it could be seen as a hard ccer (what a better way to pacify), so maybe it could bring some buff so the groups ccs easier? It may be somewhat useless because right now there aren’t many problems with cc in raids.I don’t know but i’d like to see Ventari healers as a usual thing in raids, i’d be one of them.
I disagree about the lower skill floor (it was simplified enough any further and you ruin the mechanic) but your idea on buffing CC might be pretty good.
Your overall evaluation is also correct.
Momentary pacification could fill this role not sure how “improve breakbar damage” can be translated to PvP. Also momentary pacification is a good candidate.

But guys, come on, I SAID I had had success with it personally, but that I also only ran it a few times. Can you chill with the insults and let me actually get back on feedback? Good god….
If you have done it before the demonic defiance nerf then it’s partially explained. Even though after it while hard it was still possible. But if you aren’t playing since the jan26 patch that explains a lot since that was when necros corruption got buffed.
Also there is no problem providing feedback but you shouldn’t spread misinformation. If you weren’t playing for a while specify since when, if you want to talk about a specific skill/trait check your sources.

You mean Revs won’t be able to AA with their hammer and Crit like a 1200 range backstab, nice!
Be ready for Precision Strike hitting more than CoR on a 4s cd
Precision strike only hits scrubs. That does also apply to CoR so I guess you are right.

Hey folks,
Just a quick reminder: the PvP team is not responsible for profession balance. The PvP team, along with all of the other major feature teams, provides feedback to the skills team, but the PvP team itself is not directly involved in making balance changes.
What we do have control over – however – is the build panel (sigils, amulets, runes). It’s one of the knobs we can use to push gameplay in whichever direction we feel it needs to go for that particular season. For this release, we wanted to take support down a notch and increase the pace of combat.
It’s not our intent to completely remove professions from the meta – but things do fluctuate and I think we need to give the change a bit more time to see how it plays out. Elemental Bastion being bugged since Tuesday certainly has not helped the Tempest situation, but that should be resolved fairly soon and we’ll be able to properly see how ele will fare.
I know many of you fundamentally disagree with the removal of build items – and that’s fine. I understand where you’re coming from, but I hope you understand why we use this as a tool for balancing PvP specifically.
-Grouch
Can you consider adding primary power/healing power secondary concentration/toughness?
It’s not as sustainy as clerics but helps all previous support builds including bunker guard and Ventari Revenants. (Magi’s and menders aren’t working well feels weaker than before).

Well, I hope thieves are ready for the post S3 nerfs headed their way
- infiltrators arrow now costs 9 initiative.

:-( but why
real permanent healthbars and the class icon for every player without the need to tab through them would be so helpful
now we always have to keep an eye on the upper left when we want to see the health bar of our party members
that is not good cause you have to keep an eye on the action in the middle of the screen healtbars would be really helpful here
I fully agree on always showing health bars on teammates.
Herald of Ventari
I completely agree.
