See what happens when one messes with Bloodstones?

Beware!

They are very spooky indeed:)

it would be cool if Anet was doing this on purpose and the Blood stone magic is breaking down reality in the game world.

Do you guys think our characters are not alright? That maybe hanging out in bloodstone fen has messed with our character’s minds?

That would be an interesting twist.

It’d definitely be a fair reason/excuse as to why our toons randomly scream while in Bloodstone Fen.

I keep seeing a miniature Thoumanova Anomoly, appears and is gone in a flash.

And same, I been seeing those and other such apparitions in other maps.

Keep SAB in the SAB

mXz.4512

Just my 2 cents.
I have to agree w/ the OP.. I took one look at SAB, and it’s not my taste in content.

I’ll highly likely not be getting into any of it, nor spending any gold/gems for the weps/skins. I’m aware it’s similar to asuran tech and that doesn’t bother me.. just I’m not into much of the holographic weapons ’n such.

I took more of a liking for the zenith weps than the SAB ones.
And I’m hoping more quality skins for staves the ones available now seem sub par.
(excluding a few: zenith, OoW skin, bitfrost)

I’d add a minor skin suggestion for the new skins recently out now, but it’d be goin off topic.

I really wish the Fractal Capacitor could have a glider added as an
Anti Gravity Ring Glider. My idea is that upon deploying, the mist essence within the center would expand outward to provide an anti gravity descent and yet be buoyant enough to catch drafts for more lift.

As one of several gliders you have to put effort and time into collecting and piecing together, I believe it too should have a complementary glider as such described above.

Lets talk about the new Gem conversion [Merged]

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: mXz.4512

mXz.4512

I’m too also not fond of the new ‘fixed’ gem : gold conversion. Not everyone has exact amounts, and others might not be willing or are simply unable to fork out X amount of gems for X amount of gold.

There needs to be a space for custom amounts. It’s all like the real world. You want some new candy on sale, and its $15.00 for a bulk, but you only have $10.75 on hand – people want the option to be able to trade in what they can get at that time. Many other stores have that option, why not here?

It either should be reverted back or add more options.
The way it is now is way (emphasized) too limiting.

Female Phalanx Armor?

in Black Lion Trading Co

Posted by: mXz.4512

mXz.4512

The whole thing about how the phalanx armor looks on the female versus the male is entirely subjective. You may think it looks horrible on female characters but awesome on males. It doesn’t mean they should change it for everyone otherwise risk upsetting various other people.

I for one love how it looks on my female guardian. And I think it looks just as good on male characters, so I see no valid reason for them to change it. Not to mention I bought the set for how it looks on my fem guardian. If you or anyone doesn’t accept how they made it look for female characters, simply don’t use it.

Same way I’m not enthusiastic about the phalanx helm on female characters, I’d prefer the male helm for both genders. So I simply refuse to use it.

Why not sell Fire Aura in Gemstore?

in Suggestions

Posted by: mXz.4512

mXz.4512

If any kind of aura/special effect were to be considered and implemented, I’d rather it stays in the gemstore. Something solely for character customization, watery/icy/stone churning footsteps, golden glow aura, etc. Similar to what those wind/fire/lightning catchers display without the backpiece.

Only thing about it that worries me is it’ll make it look like everyone suddenly has a legendary. And might cause the style to get old, quick.

Just posted in a similar thread in BLTC forum:

I’d like it to be done using dungeon tokens:

AC: Blue ghostly.
CM: Golden.
TA: Leaves
SE: Red electric.
CoF: Fkitteneen.
HoW: Frost.
CoE: Electric.
Arah: Dark smoke.
All just light particle effects, as we saw. No major changes between types, but a cool way to “upgrade” and customise your armour through gameplay.

If they absolutely NEED to have it be gemstore, then cool. But they could just sell it as a character unlock. As in, you pay gems, and then have the ability to use tokens to customise your armour as much as you want on that character/account.

I suppose it’d work for dungeon themes too.

PERMANENT TRANSMUTATION CHARGE I don’t make enough money to keep buying them, and I don’t get enough of them from PvP… I am a pretty flower and must win at Fashion Wars 2. I strongly second this. Even if it was completely RNG based and sellable on the TP such as the other permanent contract utilities I’d still convert just to get one.

Aside from this, a few more shared slot spaces, and definitely dying to see the wide rim glasses and the soul river glider return.

mXz.4512

Please, don’t bring back the 2012 BLC skins. Please, let there be some prestige old-time items in this game. The veterans who where there had their chance.
And why should new players access the skins while they weren’t around the first time?
Why should everybody have everything? When that day comes in GW2, it will be a really sad day.
So Anet, when end-game is about fasion, please don’t disappoint your older player base.

I played right through from release date -3 days, before that I played GW1, so I am an old player base person. I counter why not bring these back? You have had plenty of time to enjoy them so why not others getting the same chance? To be honest your words sound just a bit selfish.

There are those who have been playing equally long as you but for whatever reason didn’t get them, why shouldn’t they be given a second chance?

Anet did not say these items would never be back. If they do bring them back then good for them, and those who chose to get them.

+1 and agreed. I couldn’t care any less for prestige in this game, as I ‘had’ the mad king backpeices but no longer since they were soulbound. And how was anyone supposed to know they would come out with a wardrobe system later on?

Plus those prices need to be culled down, a lot. If people expect to be paid/compensated for having those skins for that long, tough luck. Not a lot of things in this game are forever anymore. And it’s all about what people want. Not what you want.

Got the game since the original release , and I have to say that I do not feel any need to keep old items unavailable aswell. Should they keep it the same difficulty to obtain the item? Yes, but by keeping it in Reward Tracks they in my opinion did just that. If they changed the armor skins to some cheap TP sellable armor then it would be a different story for me.

Guild Wars 2 is not a hard game, not an extremely competitive game either, personally I feel no need to have items just to show off that I was playing during a certain period of time. Also I believe they mentioned long ago that the disappearing of these skins was unintended and would return at some point? I can be wrong though.

They did indeed, though I don’t feel like thread digging for it. In different and various ways perhaps, but eventually all skins will likely return sometime or another.

Before you’re able to unlock Elite Specializations, you need to max out all your skill trees/traits and base class specializations.

Then once you’ve unlocked it, you’ll need to gather as many Hero Points (1 in core/base game) – (10 Hero Points in expansion maps). In order to unlock the first specialization trait, you’ll need ~30 hero points, from then on it’ll be somewhere between 10 and 20ish. Totaling to 250 hero points to unlock the entire specialization.

And masteries can only be unlocked by exp points from doing events/hearts/story. Tomes won’t help with any of it. After level 80, tomes will only give you Spirit Shards.

Plus the developers have to make a living somehow right? Or do you expect them to work for free? So if you weren’t there at the time it was given out for free, you apparently had more important things irl to do/deal with.

Even I wasn’t around for LS2 but paid to unlock it so I can do it once and never griped about it. And there’s many other things I don’t agree with too. I would much rather pay for small bits such as this rather than a constant monthly subscription like some other games.

This skin looks so basic. I just don’t understand the want for a cruddy looking skin like this.

Because it looks so basic with lack of detail that adds to its deathly look. It’s not made to look overly detailed or pretty. It’s made to look grim and ominous. As with the other first season halloween skins, severed dagger, the crossing and several others. Some of those also lack detail but are bought mainly for their grim/ominous look.

Overall its about each persons own style preferences. That’s ultimately what this game boils down to apart from other things.

I agree with the dyes being account bound. Whenever I decide to make or remake a character, that’s funds wasted on cosmetics that I could’ve used to save for ‘better things’.

Sooner or later I may find myself saving up dyes rather than using ‘em. And it’s disappointing having to spend the same amount (or more) for the same dye I had already on another toon. Especially since rare dye prices are jumping. Abyss in less than a month went from 5g to 8g, sure you could say supply & demand. I also noticed the quantity available, that number was pretty synched to the prices. I’m unable to make gold at the pace of other people either.

It’s pretty cumbersome to the peeps who’re perfectionists or have a tendency to reroll characters on a whim.

As for it not being a scheme/scam, it certainly fits my definition of one. Even if you were to have fees and trial periods, not giving their deposit back if it turns out they won’t be a good fit for the guild is just so slimy.

Yep, after reading a “10g deposit” it’s immediately what I interpreted. And no guilds I’ve been in have requested such. A trial period is understandable sure, but a fee is too demanding but not returning it then makes them too greedy. Sucks for peeps who’s been jipped and couldn’t comprehend what they doing.

“Buying” just seems like it only adds and promotes to more cash grabbing. I’d have to say no to ‘buying’ sorry.

Come off it, it’s simply something else to spend map currency on. And you can’t buy map currency, you can only earn it yourself so how can it be a “cash grab”?

You cannot pay someone map currency for dungeons, JPs, a carry through raids. Gold and specifically gems > gold comes more into mind. So yea, most people would prefer gold for services as opposed to currency you can’t send to one another.

And unless it’s a map like TD, these maps aren’t even that hard or tedious to navigate.
Trying to buy your way through game content is still a big definitive no from me.

Likewise, it’s similarly redundant as having the game play itself. Paying for pre-geared characters, paying for levels, etc. If that’s the whole point, then really why bother playing at all?

GW2 Level 80 Scrolls

in Suggestions

Posted by: mXz.4512

mXz.4512

No….. just no

That is all.

Dont use it. nobody forces you to. Its optional to those who are not interested in Leveling.

Do you force people to PvP in every MMO and pretty much every RPG, since its in just about every MMO as well?

Every game developer/company wants people/its fans to actually play their game and its content, not faceroll and breeze through it. Otherwise, what would be the point in spending money making that game?

Sure people will always find the route of least resistance, shortcuts or ways to skip content but the game developer is responsible for those. However, giving someone an easy way from level 1 to 80 instantly is completely contradicting in the whole purpose of making a game itself. Leveling is one mechanic for every MMO, if it gets old too quick for someone, tough luck, find another genre to get into.

And forcing people to play a game is a generalization. It’s understandable that some people prefer one content over another, but completely skipping to endgame makes people more inclined to complain more that they’re bored. My answer to that will always be go back and actually play the game for what it was made for instead of skipping everything.

It’s coincides with work, employers want to see you put forth an effort, not sit around getting paid by the hour.
