im pretty sure somewhere they said that theyd never make a jumping puzzle this hard ever again
Kiel Replacement Movement
Well, honestly, I’d never do it… but hey go for it! I’m perfectly cool with other people wanting it to be even harder, so long as I don’t have to do it. Lol, I can’t even complete it as it stands. XD
More challenging? Yes. Enable PvP? No way.
What they should do, is add like levels or tiers to the puzzle. When you reach the top, you can either collect your reward and end it there, or you can gamble your rewards and advance to the next tier, where things get more difficult by objects moving when you’re on them, reduce the time you have, and so on.
If you make it to the top of the next tier run, you get better rewards, but if you do not make it then you get nothing and lose the reward you would have got from tier 1.
This gives a sense of risk and reward, if you make it you can either take it and go or risk what you’ve won to get bigger and better rewards.
Scarlet taking over would be the final nail in the coffin of a believable storyline.

Don’t forget the heavy aetherblade shoulders.
They should add these rewards to the achievemt reward items, with the zenith weapons so you can get as much as you like :0.

Seriously Anet, where did the helmets go?
Thanks for the nightmares, Anet.

That thing is terrifying. I love seeing guild wars getting a bit darker.

I may have gotten this but 800 gems is far too much for this kind of content. That’s like a monthly subscription and I don’t think that’s worth a month in subscription fees.
I had the book from last year’s event on a character I eventually deleted/re-rolled. At the time it didn’t occur to me that there might be a way to save the item via transmutation, so it was obviously deleted along with the character. I’m wondering if there will be a chance to re-obtain the item this year or if the item is gone forever.
So they PUGed (merged parties) to design the dungeon? Oh, the irony XD
I finally had the chance to play the new TA path last night for the first time, and I have to say that it’s awesome.
It takes the positional and “puzzle” mechanics that were so good in the Molten Facility and puts them in a permanent path.
Some of the mechanics actually reward specs other than pure DPS.
It’s challenging, but moves fast enough that it is not tedious.
The path is just about the perfect length.
Well done.
PS: The optional items at the end are an interesting touch. There are rooms in other dungeons that look like they were intended as jumping puzzles and lots of areas for exploration. One example is the sarcophagus room at the end of CoF p2. Could we possibly see these active soon? That’d be really cool. Think along the lines of Light of Deldrimor!
I thought people went into dungeons because they were challenging and fun.
and get reward
..and got 1 GREEN item out of each aether chest. Lol.
Why would I go through that much hassle again for such crap rewards?
My heart just got all warm now. I’ve been selling key parts for the last 3 days. The price was ranging from 21 s to 7 s. I sold like 50.
Ah… feels so good that some people will never learn and/or will want everything at day one! Keep at it my herd!
Ps.: Diablo3 failed for many other reasons btw. Mainly because it sucked hard But that’s another topic.

people do this in mmo’s?
Listen, while I agree that’s part if it most people and myself included go in it for the loots. When there isn’t any loots other than dungeon tokens, why bother doing it if its tedious and long and has the same reward as easier and shorter paths (aka tokens).
This is a really good game but when it comes to rewarding players with loot ANET doesn’t have a clue what to do.
If you’re gonna put out content that is challenging, then you better reward people for doing it (other than just a silly back item), or most people are only going to do it once or twice and then never do it again.
Why do you think diablo 3 failed as hard as it did? (there are many reasons) but the biggest one is because it was challenging and yet it didn’t reward its players. Nobody want’s to do challenging content for little or no epic loots. That’s what these games are all about, so when you add hard content to the game but drop the ball on the loots, nobody is gonna freaking do the content because its not worth it. These are the fundamental facts of any RPG/MMO.

Is this why they dropped from 20s to 3 in a day?
..and got 1 GREEN item out of each aether chest. Lol.

I thought people went into dungeons because they were challenging and fun.
/sarcasm
Because we know Guild Wars 2 dungeons are neither challenging nor fun.

I think a token system would be a good move, but I’m hoping that the tokens and/or precursors themselves remain tradable.
Looking at the list, I think having options for each ingredient would be a very smart thing for ANet to do, so that people who play the game in different ways could take advantage of the ingredients that most closely reflect their personal play style.

Why is it that when you google for “ugly light armor” 80% of the hits are GW2 screenshots or concept arts?
Google knows you play GW2 so your search results are tailored to that.
Yes, when compared to the concept art linked below that they modeled the armor set from, the boots should have a small bell on the end of the toes.
Great observation!

I like this idea, but if the armor is as ugly as the weapons, most people will probably transmute them anyway.

Kryta is not in ruins and looks relatively like the old Kryta but more developed.
And try not to talk for all the Guild Wars 1 players, some of us love what they’ve done…even if it’s just adding a trading post to a game that previously didn’t have one.
There are plenty of little tidbits for Guild Wars 1 players in the game. I spoke to Anton’s ghost as one example. Stuff like this is scattered throughout the game.
I do agree the game is a very different animal than Guild Wars 1, but I ask you to remember that the Guild Wars 1 community like the Guild Wars 2 community was a fractured community. Not everyone felt the same way about stuff.
So stop trying to paint us all with one brush.
Elthurien you simply play the wrong genre than
MMORPG´s was like this since beginning and even first rpg games 25 years ago you needed time for lvling or crafting or whatever
you should trie some single player games or shooters
seriously
The question is will the new armor skins be cool?
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”
