Why are people going on about this now? It’s still september…

If you look at the date of when Halloween started last year, you’d see that it wasn’t until the 22nd of October.

We have 3 living world releases in October. It’s very likely Halloween will start the 15th of October this year with something else thrown in on the 29th relating to whatever we get on the 15th.

Find a server that owns all of WvW so you can map it easier. Apart from that the world map is pretty straight forward. The only issue may be in Orr where some skill points can be pretty tough solo.

Bind map to a comfortable key, you will be using it a lot :P

Remember there is a single POI in the Order of Whispers headquarters. It’s pretty easy to miss since it doesn’t display on the world map.

Sorry but your word goes strongly against my experience…

I do any non TP activity….
Nodes farming is something that was efficient for a short time….
Champions boxes are a recent add and value of the stuff in them plummeted.

On top of that i add daily dungeon speedfarm (at least 12 paths daily)….
All i could do are 2 Legendaries farming like no tomorrow.
But i completely gave up ascended stuff for now.

In my guild there is a guy that never play dungeon, nor fractals, nor open world bosses.

He has thousands money and many legendaries…..and he is not lucky.

P.S: and are you really suggesting people to farm 6-8 hours per day?

Legendaries are not required, they are a luxury so if you don’t want to work for it, then you don’t need it.

stop this outdated mantra please.

In a mmorpg BEST IN SLOT items are REQUIRED.
Don t even try to say they are like ascended…..i have a quote ready from a dev saying they want people to chase legendaries for their usefullness and not only for appeareance…..

Imo buying them off the tp is not acceptable answer to the problem. Why? you might ask…Well if everyone saved up and bought them off the tp, there simply wouldn’t be enough. Thus at some point it would not be an option at all.

Honestly, I’ve been trying to do this in a way that costs no money whatsoever.

Step 1: Run dungeons
Step 2: Use tokens to buy four shields
Step 3: Place shields in MF
Step 4: If Precursor, SUCCESS!
Step 4B: If other exotic, SELL!
Step 5: ???
Step 6: Profit

best is to drop exotic into MF. Get a legendary at first try last qeek (4exo at 2g50=10g) and another after 21 tries today (64 exoX2.50g =162g).
Rare into MF make you run twice the RNG, first RNG chance to get an exo, second RNG on this exo create chance that it’s a precursor… Cheaper and more chance overal with exo than rare (4rare has 1/16 to make an exotic; not saving money but just making harder to get a legendary that way, imo.) BY FAR

Funny, I dumped 100g worth of exotic staves into the forge and got nothing valuable back. Isn’t RNG great!

Just save your cash and buy wait for a price drop. We have to stop supporting this terrible game mechanic.

It didn’t retain value. You make aprox 1g over material cost by crafting all 3 and that margin is going down every day.

As far as selling ascended weapons… no. It’s a good sink which this game needed. If they just removed the time gating altogether though I would be happier.

Better to just sell the T6 materials rather than craft them into T7 ingots and planks.

Because you can only level 3/8 crafts to lvl 500 right now.

I am sure they will add a title for it, once all 8 crafts go to 500.

I’m not miffed by it really. It works this way with any other skin in GW2. It would be nice if we could dye weapons as was possible in GW1 or have tech to switch among the available colors as the legendaries have tech to switch among available stats, but it probably isn’t worthwhile right now.

First don’t get me wrong I love this game!

We have already broken The Manifesto in our hands with a lot of broken promises so just calm down for now and wait what will happen. Wait for Arena.Net’s and NCSoft’s move for it.

Good things still can happen. Like more drop and gather rate.

So if this game force us to do something really bored we can move on the next game so simple is that.

If things go wrong as they sometimes will, we can find next game as always!

Why not! Look around, good games coming already.

And don’t tell me people will never move to next game.. Yes maybe a few will continue to play but majority not.

Sorry, no. Anet sold out TO casuals. Everything is stupidly easy/trivial which is why it has to be done so many times. Instead of doing something difficult a few times you get to press 1 for 50 hours. This is how everybody gets things eventually but no “elitist” is favoured.

All the people who think Anet is gonna make crafting a precursor easy are gonna be in for a surpise I bet. Remember, Anet expected legendaries to take a long time yet as those like myself who have crafted 3 or 4 or 5 legendaries knows, they aren’t hard at the moment once you got a precursor. So the only bottleneck is the precursor. I’m sure Anet knows this and is gonna make crafting them an epic adventure in itself.

And I agree with Chuck, precursors shouldn’t be craftable. I mean for Christ sakes do you feel like Anet should just mail everyone a precursor token that you take to a vendor and cash in? Quit being lazy and work for it. It’s Anets version of endgame and with how easy gold is to make now with the champ train and stuff, block out 1 month or so and suck it up and grind. You’d be surprised how much gold you could make in a month doing the train. Sure it’s boring as hell and sucks kitten but all good things come to those who work for it. Sure, some got lucky with the MF or with drops. Quit crying about how unfair it is and accept the fact that YOU are not that lucky person and YOU will need to work for yours. Flame me all you like but for those who played the old school MMOs like EQ1, EQ2, AoC etc etc, you know how long it took to get the endgame gear and how much work it took from you and a whole guild. Months of hours upon hours of camping Raster in Gukbottom for a single piece to the monk epic!! Be glad Anet doesn’t require 40 people to help you get pieces for your legendary. Legendaries here are childs play compared to stuff in other MMOs.

I don’t think precursors should be craftable. But, if they do, it better take some 500 Laurels, 250 commendations, 250 Pristine relics, time gated, require months to craft, be account bound, require you have x amount AP’s and have specific titles. GW2 is moving from R to PG-13 to soon to be G. (metaphor)

expect something on the hundreds of gold for a crafted precursor.

based on what i’ve seen… think 8 vision crystals as 1 part of the crafting process…

The Nightmare Court view the Pale Tree as being centrally important to their existence, they are trying to remove the corruption of Ventari’s teachings from it. Scarlet seems to have completely disregarded the Pale Tree – The Nightmare Court should hate her, they attack the Soundless for having abandoned the tree, so I doubt they would look at all kindly on Scarlet.

Faolain shacks up with Scarlet to make Caithe jealous. TEH DRAMAZ!

I can confirm as well. I transmuted my ascended great sword with my volcanus and it worked just fine.

Ensure he transmuted the right stats over. I transmuted my asc staff onto a (yellow) super skin and still have infusion slots.
