Ability to mark an item type as “junk”. Practically all green sigils and runes are basically junk (to me). I would like to be able to mark them so they always sell when I click “Sell Junk”. (Would need an undo abiltity, though, for when the price at the TP goes up.)
Tabs or favourites (or that sort of thing) in friend list. We need to organize it, it’s important. It’s people!
Add a note to a friend, to remember why I friended that person.
- Increase the distance between the “contribution popup” (as in hearts of Maguma and WvW) and the “chests on right side”.
I always get the contribution popup when I want to loot my chests.
- Add a hot-key (assignment possibility) to loot the chests on the right.
Tabs or favourites (or that sort of thing) in friend list. We need to organize it, it’s important. It’s people!
Status selection prior to logging in (on launcher).
New status (N/A or DND or that sort of thing). Properties:
- selecting this new status would prevent anyone from PMing to person that is N/A or DND. This way people see Im busy or dont want to socialize, yet I dont have to “hide” in invisible
- PMs from people in your favourites would go through
EDIT: I realized this would be easily checkable by anyone and probably isnt a good social suggestion.
To fix this, I suggest:
instead of PMs from non-favourited contacts not going through, make them grey and not playing the PM sound. This way it would be easy to distinguish what I want to read and what I dont, while Im playing content or doing whatever.
On top of this, backspace reply would only react to the pink, prioritized PMs.

I thought this was a wonderful addition. While not a gamer, two weeks before the initial start of GW2, my mother, knowing I loved GW1, bought the game for me and gave it to me, out of the blue, not for a specific reason. I played early release, showed her, tried to show her how to play. She laughed and tried to play, I laughed and tried to show her how, she was 63. A few short weeks later, I was playing when I got the knock on the door in the early evening..“your mother has been involved in an accident with a drunk driver…she did not survive.” by two policemen and a clergy. I lived with my mother, we shared an apartment. One of the only things that got me through those dark, ugly days was to be able to log onto the game she had gotten for me, GW2, and disappear into another world for a time…and remember who gave me the world to disappear into in order to deal with a devastating blow that no one knew would ever be. One day, I hope to find a guild that I can be in that I can place one of these memorials for her. Though not a gamer, she knew her daughter was…and so gave me this world to play in, turn my jagged grief into a brief smile at one of the darkest times of my life, and now yet as time passed its getting less jagged. I am still enjoying the world she gave me to escape to today. One day, I would like to place one of these memorials for her. It was an awesome touch to add these memorials as options.
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
When guild halls first came out, we used one of the commemorative statues as an informal memorial for a guildee we lost back in 2013 to epilepsy. This morning, I was able to add his name and information in front of that statue.
Thank you for giving us a way to do this.
Yes! I’ve experienced, in a couple of guilds, the loss of a comrade — someone that I knew in game but not IRL. It leaves an emptiness that seems hard to deal with in the context of gaming.
My most memorable case was in Brand X MMO. We were halfway through a raid when a familiar character popped on. We all said hi, made pleasantries. The player turned out to be the son of our guildmate, logging in to tell us that his father died.
This new feature is most welcome and I while it saddens to think of using it, I think it does provide an outlet for sorrow. Many thanks, Arenanet.
Just a personal note from me.
While grounded in something sad — the loss of a guild member — there still is much to be happy about in this change, which came out in the Summer/Out of the Shadows update:
Monuments
A new guild upgrade is being introduced called Guild Hall Monument Decorations that will be available from the Guild Market once your guild has obtained the Guild Hall Decorations Merchant 2 upgrade. Upon purchase, Douglas Bird (our resident basic-decorations vendor) and Cullen (our master scribe) will have three new decorations unlock.
- Basic Grave Marker
- Basic Signpost
- Basic Commemorative Statue
These three new decorations are monuments—decorations that have a custom player inscription. When placing a monument, you’ll be prompted to enter the inscription, which can be up to 140 characters in length. Once placed, the inscription can be read by interacting with the monument. To change an inscription, the monument must be removed and replaced.
Guilds can only have a total of 50 monuments placed in their guild hall at one time.
Placing and removing monuments requires a new permission: Monument Decorator. Note that the Clear Decorations button, enabled by the Remove All Decorations permission, will also remove monuments.

Over the years, we have received many notes and letters about fallen guild members, and they have touched us deeply. I think it is so wonderful that guilds now have a chance to remember their fallen, and to do so in such a meaningful way.

Duel: Don’t care, I’d block it immediately.
Inspect: For stats? Oh H no! For info on skins? Yes, please gods yes! The number of times I’ve noticed someone and wondered what they wore!
Very, very “No” on both of those, thank you.
What I would like to see is a description field that the player can fill out, that others can read by right clicking on the character.
If you’re a RPer, you can fill it with a brief backstory or RP notes. If you want people to know what kind of gear or build you have, you can list it there for them to read. And if you want to duel people, you can start/join a guild made for that (with a guild hall arena), and put in your description that you’ll gladly accept all challenges by going to the arena in your guildhall and fighting.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
You should add the following options when Right Clicking on another player
“Challenge to a Duel”
Temporarily switch to PvP mode and have players fight until one is in the downed state.
“Inspect Player”
Show a read only version of the player’s Equipment Screen including gear, selected glider, and even build configuration.
If anyone else has great ideas for what else players should be able to do to other players with right click, please add them here.
Hi all,
Guild Wars 2 has been out for almost 4 years now and the game still doesn’t have a proper companion app for android and ios.
I remember when playing other MMORPGs and other games they often did have them.
It was a place to check items, maps, quests (in case of GW2 thus can also be events and timers) and even your characters with gear or chat with friends.
Would you guys agree it would be a good add?
Here are the main QoL improvements I’d like to see get implemented, in no particular order.
• Keyring
• Wallet storage for existing currencies that don’t currently go in wallet
• Mat storage for existing mats that don’t currently have mat storage
• Build saving
• Add Account-based gathering tool slots
• Storage/wardrobe for all tonics and other toys
• All old collectible items/currencies updated so that they can be traded to a vendor or clearly marked that they are useless. Or at least better info on the Wiki would be great so people know what’s worth saving and what’s safe to delete.
• No more non-functional NPCs right next to functional NPCs like the one by the bank NPC in LA.
• Something to prevent players from dropping interactive items (like Box O Fun) next to an NPC or Loot Chest so that people can’t access them.
• Ability to reduce (not raise) TP sell price without having to unlist/relist or pay another listing fee.
• Ability to hide items in the Nearly Completed Achievments list
- Allowing us to dye hair accessories based on dyes we personally have access to
- Allowing us to toggle shoulder and glove pieces on or off on all outfits.
Champion: Phantom, Hunter, Legionnaire, Genius
WvW rank: Diamond Colonel | Maguuma
1. Key Ring.
2. Tonic & Toy Section (also instruments).. Like Material Storage, but for your “collectables”.. Accessed through Hero Panel, not Bank.
3. Why are bags limited to 20 slots? Lets double that to 40 slots per bag! 320 Inventory slots !
Im sure it’s in here somewhere, but:
For the love of god, add “Open all” options to more bags/containers. I just clicked my way through over 750 fractal relic boxes because of the +7 refunds.
- Theodore Roosevelt
Wow, theres alot of great suggestion here I would like to see.
Here’s mine:-
- Search bar on vendor seperated by 2 features. For default buying and for search selling. Example, if I type ‘rune/sigil’ and click ‘sell all’, it will sell those displayed item list that currently on my bag.
- Multiple craft option on Mystic forge.
- Keybind/Graphic/Class build template. Possible saved music sheet for in-game instrument.
- The command /gg /resign /surrender for open-world PvE. Maybe only if the player is downed since it wont give you a broken armor on suicide.
- My own character potrait when im in a party.
- Countinous salvage on mouse hold of the same item/material.
- Game option that toggle player Guild/Mastery/PvPRank/EliteSpec/HpBar.
- Scale UI using a slider instead of a preset size.
- Renaming our bag/bank slots for convinient purpose.
- New simple UI to use multiple tomes of knowledge/writ of knowledge.
- Enable to change underwater skill while not in underwater.
- Eater (Mawdrey, Star, Etc.) can be used without having the food inside your bag slot.
- New guild slot for every 5k AP. Number is debatable.
- A /reconnect feature that allow disconnect player without party/squad to join attempt a previous map/ip
- A book or a tour guide on each meta map shows new/returning player how its works
- “Open All” on bag/bundle that gives material and map currency. Exclude the champ bag.
- In-game stopwatch/timer and calculator.
- Auto-deposit materials on logout/character select. Can be made a mastery and toggleable in game option.
- Copy/Highlight/Quote in-game chat.
- Instead of free-repair, use karma for armor/weapon repairing.
- Glider enable/disable option or keybind toggeable. Some player like me having a spacebar axienty while doing diving goggle jumping by pressing it twice instead of once.
- Dyeable Guild Seige with guild emblem present. If possible.
- Same with exp bar, rewards for those with 300% MF cap if they complete another set of 4295450 MF requirement in the achivements tab.
- Ready check in party.
- Creating a squad that allows guildies/friendlist/friend of friends invites only.
- Popular demand. Keyring. A new bagslot or seperate slot UI for Meta-map key (Machete, Crowbar, Shovel, etc.)
- Improved mentor system, giving bonus exp while a mentor nearby. Makes mentor tag harder to obtain if this is implimented.
- Gamepad support if the game engine allows it.
- Discounted account bound gem-store gatering tools on 2nd or 3rd purchase.
- Gem-store outfit preview on different race/gender instead the one youre playing on.
- Brighter mouse opacity.
- Notes – Personal notes/Pesonal guild note/Custom reminder. Also Guild Calender for event management.
- Ranger pet – Enable to place pet anywhere beside left/right side of the ranger. Pet emotes.
- Warrior banners – Unable to put another banner of the same effect within the same area. Exception in pvp enemy/team banner overlap.
Unneccesary but cool to have :-
This part is a joke sugesstion so dont take it seriously.
- Map vote kick – right click a player name to start a vote kick from the map and the vote counts when a numbered player typed in /mapkick [playername]. Ofc the playername wont be broadcast to the whole map if someone started a vote kick.
- 2 player gem-store travel kit riding. (Carpet, broom, etc.)
- Account bound Agony resistance.
- Pause sytem in sPvP.
- Marrige system. Any profit or gold gain you make in game are shared with your life partner. Even your partner is not online. Help those with multi-account. Ofc the ceremony itself gonna be expansive.
I know that some of these suggestion wont be implemented due to limited game engine/development time. But you guys at ArenaNet already doing a good job doing QOL improvement from time to time. Kudos to you.
- Wardrobe-like thing for Endless/Infinite Tonics
- Gathering tools (at least endless ones) to be usable from inventory/shared slot or directly from the slot that they are equipped in
- Trading post filter to exclude the items you already have
For those who want to main Phlunt you can petition for this little game (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Suggestion-Asuraball-Make-this-official/4438817) to become official and then petition to make the ball look like Phlunt. Story wise it could be a petty vengeance from Taimi where she creates golems/holograms that look like Phlunt for the game.
This is a fun idea—I can’t promise it’ll be anything other than an idea, but if we ever were to go forward with it, I would push hard for it to be called “Punt Phlunt.”
Taimi should invent Tyria’s first ever Bowel Disruptor gun (http://www.comicvine.com/bowel-disruptor/4055-56018/) and test fire it on Phlunt using the “unspeakable gut horror” setting.

what about his bodyguards? would you also kill a number of innocent asura so they won’t tell anyone you killed their employee because he was somewhat of a jerk?
you sure that trip in omadd’s machine didn’t have any unintended effects?
I think it’s funny how we have achievements for killing thousands of sentient beings (bandits, inquest, centaurs, etc.) yet we bring a “story” character into the equation and suddenly it’s, “Moral quandary of the century!”
“Oh, but Labjax, those are bad guys.” How do you know? Did you go try to make peace with them? Did you ask all the peons if they’re a fan of the constant fighting and death?
That’s what I thought. Now let me punt Phlunt off a cliff like a football. :P
All things have right to grow.
All things have right to grow.
He’s an Asura, he doesn’t grow any higher than he already is. Time to knock him down.
In all seriousness, while I recognise that 90% of the player base used their attack skills on Phlunt during the latest update in a vain attempt to try and smack him down, I hope the writers don’t do anything as crude as killing him off. I’m hoping for some other form of comeuppance though, such as a new career as Taimi’s lab assistant. With threats of retaliation if he is not sufficiently obsequious. Now go make me a coffee Phlunt, I have some serious lab work to do.
We already got him to attend the summit. Who’s to say he hadn’t run to some more mordrem on his way back to Rata Sum? Certainly not me… teehee let me escort you on your way back councillor
Exactly, cant we just arrange some kind of “accident” to get rid of him?
Like a mesmer portal closing when he’s in mid-port (and thus cutting him in half)?
What about a necromancer spacing out, thereby losing control of a minion which happens to crunch his head like an overripe melon?
Badly-timed supply crate/battle standard?
Why not sneak one of those un-attenuated mini-waypoints onto his person?
Anyone else have any ideas?
aka Thalakos Dralnu, Voxt Umultus, and Jalis Haafingar.
Vulgarity is no substitution for wit.
I’d be perfectly content with having a punt command appear whenever we’re near him.
I’ve got a bunch of friends in the order of whispers who owe me a few favours.
