and what proves you that the dev’s will actually do as they say?
Remember precursor crafting?
I was expecting more Personal Stories, Story Dungeons, Exploreable Dungeon, Jumping Puzzles, Dynamic events, and permanent content to explore new zones in that Nature, but instead, we get Living Story Season 2!? More Temporarily content?
You cant tell a good story through Temporarily contents because New players and returning players will have no idea what’s happening. They dont get the chance to see the character development in the story and worst of all, they dont get to experience the story at their own time.
People have work, people have lives and it’s cool to have permanent changes but it’s not cool to take away content and story within the game.
By making story contents permanent, you give people the chance to progress and explore the lore within playing the game. You let them play at their own time. This is why Personal Story idea works but Living story fails. Sure, the execution of the Personal Story wasn’t that great but it doesnt mean you cant improve with the tools you got, or make better tools for it.
If I cant play the content when I want and I’m forced to play it in a certain time frame to experience it and the story then I’m not having fun. And If I’m not having fun then I’m not going to do it. Thus, I’ll be missing out on a lot of Season 2 content just like I have with Season 1. Thanks again ArenaNet…

Totally agree that :
A: there’s not enough permanent story
B: LS wasn’t based off of the personal main storyline at all
C: Their rewards system is terrible, we’ve given them lots of examples for improvements
D: Vertical progression is a grind at best and when it’s done there’s nothing really to do.
E: We need lots of new skills and traits and improvements to combat so all builds will be equal in PVE.
F: We need more communication on plans on what’s to come.
What I’d really like to see is a player council formed of all of the player types in the game from RP to PVE open worlders so that we can get a real PTR in which that council will experience first hand and you can see their reactions before releasing the patch making changes before releasing, especially in the ui revamps and combat balance sections of this game, there are serious holes in the design. And I’d prefer these players be people who are not already crazed drooling fans that post every week how much they love everything you do no matter what it is, we need more scrutiny.
Finally, I’d just like to destroy people’s notions that somehow Ascended isn’t a power creep. It has increase stats the armor and weapons aren’t just for fractals so therefor it’s a creep, and don’t give me none of that % to kill mess either I’ve seen how much it improved my Engineer.

Character progression is in the gemstore. Have you purchased all it has to offer?
If they ever add any further vertical progression I’ll leave instantly. More personal story would be cool with better rewards (new skills and weapon unlocks that you learn while doing them.) I honestly don’t care about a new class but wouldn’t be against it, and new race and zones would be cool ofc.
I don’t think we are going to get any of it tbh, maybe some zones with LS slowly over time and maybe a new skill every year or so (maybe.) I truly hope this isn’t the case because the game is about 2 very smalls steps away from being uninstalled for me. =/
The whole point of GW2 is to be open world rather than instanced. You can go play WoW or any other generic MMO game if you wanted it to be instanced. GW2 is supposed to be different.
Also, only content that’s only for TTS/Att guilds (on NA) is wurm.
Tequatl is very easy on any megaserver map really, as long as you are there half an hour or so before the start. And you should be there earlier, it is an epic fight and not something where you should show up last minute and grab the reward.
You really think it’s okay that people need to show up at least 30 minutes early to a 15 minute fight? Spending at least twice as much time AFK as they do playing the game? Especially since so many people already know how the fight works, why shouldn’t they be able to show up on time as opposed to ridiculously early?
Yes, but they probably won’t listen because it’s going back to GW1 and their pride will be at stake.
Or just until you provide a way for people to communicate to 150 players on the map for weird world contents that’s hard to control outside of the current TTS/ATT guilds.
I’m not gonna vote as the question’s not really relevant to my complaints about armour, but I’d just like to say that skimpy and non-skimpy armour is great in equal measures to suit all tastes – the most annoying thing is when it’s not gender balanced.
Chronic shortage of skimpy male armour, yo. See sig link.
does anyone else feel like this is the wrong direction to take the game in? we burned a year on content that was incredibly disjointed until a random villain was thrown in, pulling a deus ex machina to conveniently be the driving force between all of them; only to reveal another dragon the community guessed ages before.
why dont we get more permanent content, or work on fixing what’s wrong with the game? it’s fairly obvious that anet wants to rid of the zerg mentality, with examples such as the removal of the beginner trains, tequatl, jungle wurm, and the recent boss blitz. why not start there? dungeons could use a complete overhaul to remove the reliance on high sustained damage, wall grouping, and other exploits to make dungeons quicker and or easier.
for a game so based on immersive lore, why havent we had any real updates on the actual plot, or an expansion, for taking on the other 5 dragons remaining. i mean, there is easily 5 expansions RIGHT there to start.
down with this bi weekly content, bring us something permanent we can enjoy that isnt just a generic fantasy issue such as racism and economic problems.
2 years after the game’s premiere – it’d better be a portal to a new, permanent explorable map! #fingerscrossed
Then the portal turns out to be the entrance of yet another temporary dungeon
Clearly you haven’t been paying much attention… i’ve seen 9 threads closed complaining about the mega server in the last 5 hours alone. The moderators quickly delete all record of them so people like you are fooled into thinking they are good.
I don’t like the megaserver at all. It is better than what we had, with empty zones, but I would like a system where users can instead select from a list of districts like:
>Tarnished Coast (your server district)
>District 1 (93% full)
>District 2(83% full)
>District .. 23 (15% full)
And also gives us the option of what sort of district we want to automatically be assigned: server, high pop, low pop
Because look. Feature patch came and went. Sure there was a kitten storm about how bad megaserver was, and all they had to do was wait and hey look! Everyone likes it now and no more complaining. Now we move on to Season 2 and everybody hyped.
Huh? I know there are still a lot of people that hate the megaservers. I’m kinda one of them. I like aspects of it, but generally hate it.
hey look! Everyone likes it now and no more complaining. Now we move on to Season 2 and everybody hyped.
Sorry, but you do not speak for me and many others as well—-“EVERYONE”— likes its now and there is no one complaining? ‘EVERYONE’ hyped for season 2? I don’t think so on both statements.
You are so far out in left field, you are not even in the ball park anymore.

3 big problems:
1:: events and activities have low reward, like the new event is basically worthless to do even with gold reward which has 10 chest which you can get easily through dungeons or champ farm which is much less frustrating and time consuming. people mostly doing it for AP rather than reward. add this to brain dead champ farming which is even more rewarding than most of thing i know in the game including pvp and wvw, if i want to farm gold for my legendary well we all know different ways none including activities and events, the only acceptable reward is dungeons at least because you are playing the game and getting daily reward, rest in my opinion is just not acceptable, again too high or too low.
2:: TP players, i have seen you tube videos on somebody who has 7 accounts but all he does is to play TP rather than playing the game, yes that is true ,7 accounts and he is not playing the game and he and his kind are richest people in game, owning the games economy.
3:: path seller which is a obvious exploit and totally against concept of mmo, which is playing together, i have seen/known people making up to 100g a day out of path selling. this needs to be stopped particularly in this game.i have seen raid sellers in other games but it is way less in size and effect on general economy of the game and at the end you have to find a guild and do raiding, you can get away with buying for small part only and for few pieces of gear but if you want to have high end gear and achievements and cool mounts etc you better join a guild unlike this game people get dungeon master achievement by buying arah p4 and if you ask them how did you beat simin, they are like wtf is simin? as result those path sellers getting richer. unique to gw2 only in my opinion.
there could be more of such things that i do not know of. but these thing are not good for any games and promotes grinding game play.
IMPORTANT NOTE: be civilized and whether you are agree with me or not just keep it friendly please.

Stagnation is killing WvW
Everyone knows where to drop siege, offensive and defensive.
Everyone knows who’s going to win the matches, with few exceptions.
Everyone knows population and coverage beat skill.
WvW builds for each profession are mostly stagnant.
That’s how bloodlust started it because it killed one of the main methods players came up w/ to combat stagnation.
Add in seasons that promoted server stacking that killed entire communities
Add in repeatedly messed up patches/changes that discourage WvW as PvP
You get the idea, but it all started w/ Bloodlust
The game honestly needs a WvW over haul patch because WvW >>>> sPvP
There’s no contest in what the majority of players choose. The only reason people PvP now is either
1. Reward Tracks
2. Self delusions of grandeur in thinking a kittenty conquest mode equates to skill
After being off the game for a month this is what i noticed and reinforced my opinion of the game.
GW2 mechanics and limitations was what made the game decline.
-Small maps where groups can cross it in 2 minutes, siege from keep to keep, full stacked blob vs small server(coverage).
-Keeps and castles are just AB shrines with walls after cap you leave to recap or going to recap other lost tower.
-Walls go down extreme fast, due reinforced wall is weaker than reinforced door.
-Many bugs where catas hit non “castle areas, as far away from wall” and will still it the wall, and will not mark the swords.
-IF exploits are being adressed or not.
-Autmaned and Queue sometimes gets borked up (not shure about this but had several strange numbers experiences in the past).
-Megaserver, harder to recruit or call army to BL.
-WvW was launched for casuals pvp for pve players

offtopic(non wvw content)
-Game model way to much “themeparked”, and thats very limited as its a closed box almost not allowing new implementations, it gets bored after some time (LS was a proff of that, as only gathered DPS mindless fest for obtain skin reward, story arc was almost irrevelent or confusing the way was introduced to the zerg blobs).

Orbaggedon IMHO started the whole process of what we are seeing today.
I feel the summer of 2013 was perhaps the best times in WvW. Then anet released blood last and it began. Season 1 just killed servers tbh.
You could argue that the complete lack of developer attention started it but even with that all aspects of WvW thrived until blood lust.
Post your thoughts and definitely speak up if your home server became a victim
My favourite moment was logging on one morning to see the 5000 point lead we had accrued over 4 days had been wiped out by night-cappers.

The berserker gear is fine.
People are making threads for nearly one year about the berserker gear being bad. The recent modifications to the crit damages made low level dungeons easier and higher level dungeons harder.
People keep complaining about the fact that there are lots and lots of lfgs requiring the participants to use berserker gear (or equivalent, like assassin). What I see is indeed a lot of lfgs at a single time that require berserker gear. But when I look closer, I see that the ones that don’t require a berserker gear are filling much more quickly. So what do we learn from this? That a lots of berserker gear-oriented people are willing to create lfgs and people with other types of equipment barely create any lfg and when they do, they immediately fill. If I count, there are, over time, less lfgs for berserker gear as there are without any indication.
What I see also is a lot of complains about the reward should be compensated in regards to the risk, and since there are no risks in this game, people should all get the same rewards. Well, actually there is a risk. Yes, I am a berserker elitist in this game and I try to pull the general level of the gamers to better skills. I pay the hard price for it:
So please, all of you that don’t like the berserker “meta” is because:
