It wasn’t at EU primetime, hihey (X Helen X in this video) usually plays a little later though, and AG still had tons of people while we were doing this so it still felt like primetime to us wherever we went. Ty for all the loot bags @ kale, Atom, pain and every other guy who blobbed yesterday in GH BL! It was so satisfying that despite being attacked by 3 whole guilds we managed to defend every upgraded objective we held(even the upgraded north camp lol).

Same here, Thanks indeed PAIN and kale. Funny to see how some of you still fall for the easiest portalbomb. Loved to smack IRON down aswell with our blob of death haha. Even in the end when PAIN and Kale had to team up on us and completely surprised us at bay killed them no problem.

It happens to be that this AVA guild was the same one that tried to bug it’s way into woodhaven. But I suspect you will have quite the sarcastic reply to defend this.

I thought this class was going to be worth playing eventually, I have 4 other lvl 80 characters but I used up all my resources to buy the ascended gear to my ranger.
So today I meet a warrior in WvW, he doesnt charge me and then hammer stun and then eventually kill me in 2-3 hits as usual but he pulls out his rifle and starts shooting.
I answer with my longbow as my spider starts charging up to him…..
He cripples me and then starts his volley as I was using my 2 skill on my longbow. I hit him for a total of 6k and he hits me for 12k….
I try to use the advantage of my 1500 range but cant really run since I am crippled. I use my dodge to evade few incoming and attacks so does he…
and then BOOM 9k crit and I am dead….
RANGER…..comes from RANGE, I have no problem getting totally destroyed by warriors but in range???
Today I realized a true RANGER is a rifle warrior, and things get though pull out the hammer or 2h sword… unlike our buggy 1h sword or the 2h that hardly damages anything.
Oh btw, I completely forgot to mention my spider in this fight cause it was useless as ever and the F2 skill took 3 secs longer then it should to hit anything…

Is this a rant post? Yes you can say that, DEC 10 is not going to change anything. Devs have no idea how useless this class is compared to others. I can do more damage and heal and support in my guardian…
I resisted and tried to hang on as long as I could, so long ranger community, I will join the truely ranged class…Warriors (even with incoming nerfs they are still the GOD class)

Na that’s a lie , you’re forced to use meta builds unless you wanna lose . The guy is right , people had respect for warriors back then , not anymore with passive signet and Aoe ground target spam . Need to rethink the class mechanic a lil bit .

No. There were 10+ in total, several of them were upleveled whether you noticed your allies or not I dont care.

It all comes down to players abusing broken game mechanics without understanding why they work and then trying to make forum posts.

Stop accusing people of abusing anything. I was in that fight wit my (NOT upleveled) warrior and yes I bannered the lord multiple times, just because I could.

You should have created a distraction somewhere else on the map so we’d have to split our defences but instead you chose to blob up in our garrison. You were so confident in your superior numbers that you didn’t bother to keep people out, destroy siege on outer walls or even stop dolyaks from bringing in more supply during the fights. We were determined to not loose our garrison so we did everything we could (banners, waypoint, interrupt capping) and it worked. We may very well not be able to pull it off again but we enjoyed the fight and saving the keep was a great boost to our morale (although all this forum QQ may even be a bigger boost, thanks for that).

The thing is, Anet has made a game, and whilst it may not be perfect, it is what it is. As a player you adapt to the game and its mechanics or you leave to play something else.

This particular argument only came about because one guild with a somewhat superior attitude were outplayed, despite them having superior numbers and as a consequence exaggerated the facts to suit their argument.

Facts:

3 full guild groups attacked Garrison (70-80 people), 1 group attacked the SW inner door, the rest went to the N inner door.
The defenders (30 -40 people) were mainly occupied at the N inner where the bulk of the attackers were.
The group at SW inner broke in and got to the Lord’s Room, downed the Lord and the circle was up.
The rest of the attackers got in and instead of holding the Lord’s room, were kited by 1 guild group, round and round the walls.
In the meantime, some defenders were able to build trebuchets and use the mortars on the outer walls to fire into the lords room with impunity. I only saw one oppositon player actually try to take down the siege on the outer walls.
The keep could and should have flipped within the first five minutes had they played intelligently. Fact is, they didn’t and now it is the games fault?

Combo traits should replace pretty much all of the “on-crit” traits IMO. Traits that proc on finishing a certain type of field a certain way would be a great way to replace the passive traits that make the game too easy mode.

Won’t happen, but I think expanding on the combo system is probably the single best thing that could be done to add strategic depth to combat. /shrug

Disagree roaming is roaming I like the unpredictability of roaming and no set rules which is why WvW appeals to me so much.

You can have your own set imaginary rules that you follow so you can tell your friends in VOIP or invite the enemy to party or come on the forums and keep as a ace card that you killed someone when you had no food or bloodlust or w/e. In the end that only serves yourself and requires other people to hear you tell the tale but the majority of the people you killed or got killed by probably won’t care.

Another note food can give your build away before the first skill is cast. I don’t always hover over enemies food but if I know I’m going to engage in a impromptu 1v1 I’ll hover over the buff to see what I’m dealing with. I build mostly to fight everything as best I can on my classes so I can know what to expect. Certain classes it matters a little less than others but you can get a general idea.

If I see +40% condition duration on a thief I know its condis, if I see it on a necro it could be hybrid but mostly assume condis, ele with precision food or stacker I think glassy, or doesn’t have 10 in Air with zephyr’s boon etc…. you can get alot of information from someones food and stacker buffs its not viable to always hover but the information is there in a 1v1 scenario.
