Of course I would always like to have actual armor skins more then outfits, but I don’t mind them too much. They look mostly good too.
However the Nomad-look takes it a big step too far. Pauldrons have always been a problem (is it some sort of fantasy trope to make them as big, unpractical and ugly as possible?) but those crystals more or less ruin it.
I love the rest but being unable to hide them makes me not want to buy it. It is just too much and I am sure that some crystal-decorations can be applied in a more simple and practical looking way.
Or just to make it possible to hide them.
Seriously, I’ve wanted the ability to turn off shoulders for outfits for a while now. The Shadow Assassin pauldrons are especially hideous on male characters, but I gotta say, the crystal shoulders for the Nomad outfit? They need to GO!
I saw there was a new outfit incoming.
And of course, again, there’s some giant shoulderpads I can’t hide.
Arenanet, please. You make such nice outfits, but most of the times, the pauldrons are just too much.
Please, Arenanet, can’t you add a toggle off option for the outfit’s pauldrons ?
Everytime I see a really nice outfit, that is ruined by those awfully large pauldrons, I cringe. Can’t you at least add an option to toggle off the pauldrons ?
I’m sure I’m not the only person who’d rather not buy an outfit at all rather than having to see my character running around with pauldrons the size of his head (or even bigger, if you play with a male Sylvari, they’re often oversized).
EDIT : It’s NOT a thread to complain about outfits not being 6 part armors. It’s just about asking for a hide option for the shoulder parts.

Yes, it will make the glicko wall even higher.
If you want to reduce the glicko wall and have a 6 servers rotation you need to let YB gain rating and BG need to lose some rating. Then it’s a process that you will need to repeat for many weeks : the tier 1 server dropping to tier 2 server needs to lose rating in order to reduce tier 1 average rating and boost tier 2 average rating.
It’s a process that will take many weeks but it’s possible to get a 6 servers rotation without ANET intervention and this week is the start of it if you want it.

I would like minis that are NOT visible to enemy players. The current situation prevents me from bothering with them at all, because I cannot use them during wvw, which is most of my playtime anyways.
Though personally, I think some of OP’s ideas should be made baseline to the game regardless.

Let’s give anet some ideas on what wvwers would spend gems on so the potential revenue increase creates an incentive for anet to give wvw more attention.
I’d go out and buy gems in a heartbeat for a programmable inventory manager. I want a little elf that sits in my bags and automatically:
1) salvages all my white, blue and green loot and sends the mats to my materials bank
2) uses all my luck so i don’t have to waste time clicking it. Seriously, why can’t luck just get auto-looted like gold or karma
3) opens loot bags
4) sells junk to merchants
I’d also drop cash for extra bag space used exclusively for siege that would be shared by all my characters.
One up one down only works with equal populations through several tiers.
Allowing returning players for HoT to return to their overstacked servers will just delay the balancing of populations.
It could take years to evenly spread out the populations. Even then this doesn’t guarantee a balanced population in each timezone.
and what to say for the duration of conditions and how are considered to be applied from anet?
must be 1s-2s-3s-4s not 3/4 not 1 1/2 etcetcetc
so, as roamer or group – want to apply 1s to imobilize or 1s fear . aoe 5 targets or singleplayer – well someone as enemy could have -20% condition duration food or with some runes
so from 1s -> goes to 0,80s – imobilize wont apply and fear neither – oh, fear will take away 1 stability stack then? or wont be considered??
and, ok we have runes -x% condition, but where are the -20% damage runes?
im asking again to get rid of foods from wvw – whatever kind of food
and reconsider the working of some conditions-cc (imobilize – fear)
1s imobilize – fear – not buffable not debuffable. flat – simple and easy
and player must learn not to rely on a food or rune to win or loose a 1vs1 or a fight 200vs200
ps. yes, for everyone that is asking, yes i want wvw as more similar to pvp –
wanna roam in 3? u get in an even fight vs 3-6 casual roamers u have a chance to win –
3 roamers vs a guild group 10-20 – escape or die
more skill and abilities of the people
less “i have -60% condition duration – 2,5k attack – 80% critical chance – will win vs a condition roamer” because this already happens in wvw
(in pvp – with no crap of condi food / +or- / most of those power builds like this explode vs conditions builds)

For the ones insisting that dc’ers for what ever reason need to be punished, then to make everything equitable, players who on wining (almost said whining lol—oh well whatever) duels and taunt should be punished accordingly.
— Laughing at corpses, temp ban as your infringing on their civil rights.
—Jumping on corpses, temp ban as you have no taste.
—Dropping siege blueprints on corpses, temp ban for wanton littering (keep it tidy). —Whispering insulting remarks longer temp ban as your a nubcake and should know better.
One thing anet can take away from this, don’t do open world pvp, unless you want forum meltdowns!

Someone has said that they press B and click the Leave the Mists button on the bottom right of the window, they leave the borderlands and do not leave any loot for the person who took them down.
It’s low and petty, and the act of a spoilt brat. But what you gonna do, unless Anet fix it you just have to live with the fact that there are soar losers in the game.
Simplest solution to fix stale match up?
Put a cap on the highest rating and the lowest rating a server can have.
For example, the highest could be 2000 and the lowest could be 1000.
I sorta wish they’d get rid of Condi duration entirely and just give all Conditions a flat 50% boost. Maybe make it so Critcal hits with Condis applied a longer lasting duration or something?
Granted this sounds like a terrible idea but If it allows someone to springboard and create a better idea, please, step on it.

Personally speaking I hate stealth in competitive game play and always will, and think it should be completely overhauled because its just abused to hell, its should not be the focal point of a build, it can maybe buff or add to a build, but to have an entire setup around stealth is just plain ridiculous and bad design.
In regards to your point about condi not being dependent on other stats, its probably because conditions don’t do crit damage.

Yeah, stealth is an exciting part of competitive play. Please add more of it. Give it to burnguards and other cheeseboxes. Also please add +40% stealth duration food for more excitement.

So what makes the runes OP all of the sudden, when they havn’t been for the previous year? The fact that the question can be asked, says a lot about the complaint in my opinion.
Personally, I don’t feel the runes are very problematic at all. I havn’t had a great deal of problems with trapper ranger or thief one I got used to fighting them and learned how to adjust how I fight a trapper build.
I think it is a good diversity from LB zerker or thieves using no traps at all.

Nothing to fix. There is nothing wrong with the condition.
The only possible issue, are some skills or traits, subjectively applying too many stacks or too long of a duration. Making it a skill and trait issue, not a “burning” issue with the condition itself. I feel it is important to distinguish the two.

Id like to ask about the other part of todays update, regarding killing players in spaces they are not allowed to be, does that include spawn sites because that would be doubly great.
Rather than being killed, players should always get teleported out of hostile spawn areas now.
The change I mentioned previously is multi-part. The change that makes all arrow carts use line-of-sight did indeed go out today, but the second part about the arrow cart line-of-sight checks being too forgiving was not part of today’s build. The changes to the way arrow cart line-of-sight is calculated is set for an upcoming patch.
I use them on my warrior in PvE because I’m a remarkably lazy human being who hates changing out accessories when I’m switching builds.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to get some. You change your gear up pretty often as you level. If you have some from salvaged gear though, it wouldn’t hurt.
You can get around this if you only change your gear every 10 levels. Besides you can always find cheap runes/sigils that will add something.
