So I was looking at the different prices between America and England, and it works out that us over here in Blighty have to pay almost £20 more for the Ultimate edition, than our companions over in the States . Why is this so? It’s not like there is anything physical to deliver across the Atlantic, and surely the base code doesn’t have £20 worth of changes in it?

I’m fine with paying £35 for the standard version, heck I’m probably going to buy the ultimate, but what annoys me is that they’ve bundled the main game in with the expansion. Whether it’s true or not, to me, at least in my mind, this comes across as having to pay extra for a game we already have, which really grinds on me.
With HoT we all know precursors will take on a look similar to that of the final legend. What I’m wondering is as The Hunter has a unique skin, found no where else, will this be unavailable after HoT pops or will Anet add the skin in later on another weapon?
The only other loose mention I saw was from the legendary weapon blog, but I don’t think that pertains to what you are after
“Map Bonuses
While the update to precursor acquisition makes for a huge change in the way we craft legendary weapons, our new Map Bonuses system will also make acquiring the materials you need a more directed activity. With Heart of Thorns, most explorable maps will have an associated set of bonus rewards that rotate on a regular basis. Starter maps will not be included in order to preserve the new-player experience. By completing events, jumping puzzles, and mini-dungeons in a map, you’ll be periodically awarded with one of its associated bonuses in addition to the normal rewards. For most maps, the bonus reward will be crafting materials. For instance, playing in Cursed Shore could reward you with ancient bones, charged cores, charged lodestones, or giant eyes during one rotation, and powerful venom sacs, glacial cores, glacial lodestones, or globs of ectoplasm during another rotation.
Maps like the Silverwastes or Dry Top that have a dedicated currency will work a little differently. For these maps, bandit crests and geodes have been something of a test for this concept, where you’re rewarded with these currencies through a bouncy chest for playing on the map. The Map Bonuses system is a more streamlined experience, and with Heart of Thorns, these maps will be updated to always award currencies through the Map Bonuses system. Moving forward, any map with a similar currency will also work within the Map Bonuses system.
The goals of this system are to provide ways for players to target the materials they need, let players know exactly where to obtain those materials, and help all explorable maps always feel like relevant and rewarding places to play.”

I remember there being mentioned some changes to map completion, but cant remember what they were.

New name: No, just no. It’s way too generic and feels like it could apply to any class. Something like Seraphim, although there are potential clashes with the Seraph here, but anything angelic sounding would be good, much better than what we have.

Minstrel doesn’t have footfall effects either, not sure what you mean by terrestrial though so maybe you’re not counting that?
Minstrel does, it leaves notes as footprints, and by terrestrial, I mean all legendaries that are not for water combat

So I cant salvage Rampager insignia’s from Ascalonian armour? I swear I salvaged Magi’s and Soldiers insignia’s from Ascalonian armour before, and aren’t they craftable?
Rampager is craftable, Magi´s and Soldiers arent.
Salvageable insignias/inscriptions are:
Cavaliers, Dire, Magi, Shaman, Soldier,Rabid and Sentinel, while Sentinel is also obtainable via Guild Commendations.

Is it dead since the Feature patch and changes to how LS works?
So with the new adjustments to how the personal story works, has this effectively killed off key farming?
If it has I can understand why seeing as scraps and tickets now have a greater drop rate.
But back on topic, is key farming with new human characters dead? Is there another key farm people have found?
Ok, so something that had been bugging me since release is why do guardians have a signet that boosts condition damage, when we have too few conditions to warrant a condition build

I dont know how you’re gonna differentiate between people who have got the reward and who haven’t as I know some people, myself included, have the completed achievement, i.e. the “x place in season” achievement in WvW panel, but have not received the reward chest
So logged in tonight 3 hrs after reset, and got no chest.
Just checked WvW achievement tab and it said my server (RoF) came 1st this tournament, we actually came 6th/7th.
Anyone else with similar bug?

If you unlock a skin you get from a drop, is it soulbound/account bound upon unlocking it through right clicking?
So monthly is for 2 achievements this month and the achievement panel on the character select screen still says out of 4. My panel only shows progress of 2/4 completed even though I have completed 4 monthly achievement tracks already, for PvE alone. Any1 know why?
Does any1 have any good D/D or D/Any builds for necro for PvE? Getting a bit bored with Sc/D now.

Just curious, I’m thinking of rerolling the character I did all my progress of SAB on, so if I do will I have to redo it all again or is progress ‘account bound’?
one final question, why does the white armor piece have to be from the tp?

Use transmutation to put the look on a basic white item. Your alts can then retransmute it onto their gear.
You cannot save the stats, though. edit — unless a splitter does that? I’m unclear, haven’t ever used a splitter.
i thought transmuting items character bound them though?

Is this still viable?
I was thinking the other night, what made the end game in gw1 so fun was all the inventive ways of speed clearing areas such DoA.
What my idea is, after you complete the final story mission you unlock a mode for every dungeon where you can enter at level 80, and of course all mobs are scaled up too, but all paths are active at the same time so you can either choose to play them all normally or go for a speed clear.
Thoughts?
