ok iam going to give some more my personal experiences and opinions..

i7 is not wasting money.. if we compare it to i5, in GW2 it is going backward.. the difference between them is, that i7 has HT, so each core is connected with 2 threads.. it is rly nice feature, but if u have (lets say) multi-core application and its not optimised for HT.. it decrase performance..

if u will be buying RAM.. dont care about frequency and timings.. it doesnt metter..

if u go some normal cpu(like mentoned above) and only one GPU, buy max 500W PSU.. dont go for “stronger”.. i recommend to going for quality.. gold certification etc..

any intel quadcore / i5 is enough //for example i5-2500 shoudl be cheap
amd fx6300 should be enough too

8gb //more is useless, less is not enough

the best u can get // i was playing on gt560 and got 60fps in pve on mostly highest settings

u have enough good cpu.. but u rly need better graphic card..
i dont know which one.. but mine is older radeon 7870 which now cost about 100e and can run this game very well even in wvw

just go to any shop and get the best graphic for 100e

look.. i have already played this game for a 3200hours.. everythign mostly wvw.. i can count u on my hand, how many times i heard someone got precursor in wvw

now i understand your problem..
but u get tome of knowledge in spvp cuz u dont get XP by itself from it.. but in wvw u get XP for each capture and kill.. and its lot of XP.. u cant expect u get something more from it.. it would be too easy to lvl up there and ppl would just simply abuse it..
i know u dont like beeing upscaled in wvw and beeing flamed by everyone, but its still MMO, and u have to lvl up in someway.. game is set in way, if u want to get maximum, u have to play everything(pve,spvp,wvw)

just try to imagine, how much badges u get in eotm for one event, then how easy u already can lvlup, and then your idea with this.. No.
u can convert badges in golds and do it with crafting.. thats maybe all..
but last thing what i want to say, u r missing/skipping big part of game if u just simply want to skip lvling, and thats sad..

are u telling me, u have 8th character and have no Scroll of experience and Tome of Knowledge? and also have no idea how to lvl up character? how did u lvlup your other characters??
making lvl10 takes u 20min in pve or 1g for crafting.. u can still relog at the end of dungeons(it gives 3/4 of yoru lvl and golds), my friend made whole lvl 80 in eotm in less then full 3days

i was always on sfr, but now every day iam getting rly huge random lags, DCs, and skill delays.. i have absolutly no lags..till evening, it is everywhere.. eotm, wvw, spvp, dungeons.. it already started about month ago.. this game is just unplayable for me.. other MP games run fine.. ping and tracert goes well

i can agree there is a kind of bug.. it just start randomly(once it happened to me in EBG but mostly in spvp only in Battle of Kyhlo map).. fps are dropping and dropping from 60 to 20.. and then still slowly dropping.. cant do anything with it.. restart game works.. but i cant restart during match in spvp or in wvw when queue is long
and about ALT+F4.. i close game this way too.. and if i want to start again it says it cant.. so i open TaskManager and i see it is still running

yes thats it.. did u know Baruch Bay has “medium” and Gandara “high” population? look how high they both are.. deso just somehow misscliked and joined wvw maps.. its pure pve server.. u can also notice, they get outmembered buff everytime when jormag is up.. they have got 0 tick several times during season, and best one was when BB was able to flip deso keep in EBG on sunday just after prime time

i have 2sec delay on all skills, some ppl in Mists say they have this problem now too

playing on eu sfr.. no lags

we can marge NA and EU.. there is no reason to separate this ppl because of connectivity since there r ppl from NA who play in EU without any lags/problems. if we marge it there will be no night-capping but i think also less important prime-time because prime time will be now 24/7.. queue will be mostly constant so everyone who want to bandwagon and stack on server will be disapointed and ppl will give up fast and bandwagon to somewhere else. and since all maps would be full mostly whole time, it will not be about covarege but about how good they are just because if the same amount of ppl
there r many ways how to move server/players and marge them but i have no good solution now how exactly

he is just crying because someone with condi build farmed him.. thats all

they should split more pve and wvw..

If someone use LFG tool to join party, he has cooldown to kick anyone for 5 minutes. Problem solved.

iam wvw player and… guys, what is achievment? rly dont get me wrong but wvw players rly dont care about some achievments. When we have a season, we rly dont want any achiev-hunters here to interupt our matchup and make us lose. Do pvers like when , for example, wvw players come to pve and finnish all group events they see so they interupt thier “organized” train on map.. its same.. so for me.. thx anet for no pvers in wvw this season.. its getting better

today when i was in dungeon i had to relog, i choose another character and logged in first to PvE and then click on pop-up window to join dungeon..
but when i clicked on JOIN nothing happened and i got error message:
The world you are attempting to join is full. Please try to have your party member join you in your world.

so i just logged off and choose character again and same error message.. i was just unable to join dungeon back.. it happened to me when i was in AscalonCatacombs and in TwilightArbour too. I have no idea what to do and how to fix it. when ppl see i cant join them they just kick me and i can start whole dungeon again
any tips?
i also tried to quest to another server but it didnt help(what world is full then??) sorry for my bad english

to your post, i rly dont think the copy of your game has something to do with lags and dc or your “key” as a account.. maybe all this ppl here crying about this problem have something common
for example, iam on eu sfr server, i live in CZ, my connection is 100/100 – in real, i use win8 with no updates, i came back to the game week ago after few weeks of slacking.. and i dont think PC has something to do with this so i dont post it

well this game is like portable, u can move the installed files wherever u want.. i dont know how exactly the client app works, but when u log in and it start downloading, just close it, and move whole folder to your second partition and start game/client again and finish whole download

Grats. Was an interesting 9 weeks, stuff happened.

Atleast there was always people to fight at any hour of the day or night. And the fights with SFR were always good

u can say whatever u want, sfr like fights and they want them, no matter what

dont worry, sfr server is dying.. ppl are bored, players are leaving, guilds leaved, and commanders also.. deso cry about doubleteaming, blobing etc.. but next season they will do the same as sfr did.. and yes they will probably win because sfr will be in the bottom of chart as vizuna now.. all what sfr learned is from vizu and everyone in sfr know it.. because thats the way how to win, but sadly its not the funny way.. anet designed wvw quite bad since its not about guilds, its about blobs and arrowcarts.. sfr got a lot of transfered players before season because of rewards and since they absolutly dont care and dont want to “join wvw system” they r making server ruin too
sfr = every second player full signet upscaled warrior with legendary GS skin
for my opinion, anet should totaly disable transfers, good wvw server is made by guilds and players, but since they all can easy transfer, “server” means nothing, it is just mark in top of u in game
anyway, hope sfr will survive and community train their players and etc, and maybe next season will be much harder because deso will get better also and other servers too.. so more dblteam, more drama, more tears and no karmatrain

yes, as the Hannelore said, you dont need any main character/class. For example, I have 12 characters(full lvl+gear) and dont have main too. It only depends what are you going to play/do in game. When i go to dungeon AC, I just take warrior, when i go to TA I take guardian, gather orrichalcum → thief, sPvP → mesmer, and etc. Just choose character what is easier to play for you and have good build for it.. And if you are deciding where to spend more money(I mean character) just choose what character you play the most..

My friend told me about the ESC but it didnt work for me, today i tried it again and yes it realy works, just the problem when i dont cast anything, the anoying Menu will pop-up. Actualy i had already bind stow/draw weapon closer to my WASD but really didnt know I can use it for this too. I dont know what I will use ESC or stow/drow but now i know how to do it.

I dont know if this is a right category, but i was searching about this here around and didnt find anything. So all i want to ask is how to “cancel casting”. Sometimes i just missclick and use another skill, with for example 3sec cast time. but I am in fight and I want to cancel it and use another, the right skill. I can cancel it with dodge, but i really dont want to spend endurance on this, and what if I already dont have enough endurance to dodge, how can i cancel it then? I also can type “/dance” but not in fight..
So any tips? or Anet just didnt added something like this to game.. ?

but rly what did u expected? your points was like 2k more then BB, then u farm in Sfr not flipped Garry for a hour, and let BB cap all ruins and free map..

well, if some have skill lags in big fights, it is his problem because of bad connection+pc, ive never had skill lag in fights or wherever in wvw.. maybe in like 100+ players fights i have drop sometimes under 20fps (everything on max) but no skill lag.. //iam from SFR

anyway all i want to ask what can i do if i get bugged, i cant use any of my skill, i just press any skill and nothing happen, it mostly happens when i leave siege or after big fights, equiping siege/teleport to WP/change skills doesnt work, only what works is die and go WP… //i dont know maybe this is not good thread for this

+sometimes and yesterday in sPvP i had perma 1sec delay in skills (restart game worked, relog char. didint, but that is not solution)
+last week(1st matchup of this league) (only) in Riverside BL in wvw rly lot of ppl had this 1sec delay on every skill
