I could see engineers tricking out a golem with a bunch of rockets and guns that line the golem. then when your golem gets low from dmg you eject and it will do a massive nuke explosion
To summon the golem it could act like the druids avatar form, after enough time passes or generate enough energy you can resummon the suit and keep going.

what anet is trying to do is force people to build for what they are for, Druid was a prime example because if you want to be the healer you have to BUILD for healing. you shouldn’t be able to put out the same dmg/condi as other players and still heal. it doesn’t make sense, this is why they are trying to push for build what you want to do.

the reason so many people seem so mad is because the small minority who does raids are getting so kitten and complain the most when their builds get nerfed. while the majority who do other things don’t really care because it gives their classes the option to do other things. it is quite funny how salty the raiders are getting over this small announcement which was needed.

What many ppl need to know is that engi is the only class that is anywhere near a balanced class, but what makes it seem unfair is the fact that engis have to compare with broken classes that are far from balance.

engi has highest sustain dps (condi wise), but the reason they try to mix reaper in is because of epidemic. Engi itself is good on certain raid bosses but bad on others which is why many ppl do not want them in the certain raid.

excessive energy is a very nice trait to use in tools does not need to be replaced, it synergies with the vigor on tool belt usage and give yourself 100% endurance regen which helps with dodging attacks

gadgets need cd reduction and dmg boosts to make them viable

turrets need the core change like you said

You want less items in the gemstone, you want gold to gem exchange rates lower, you want more unique items in the game, you want more armors and less outfits…

So I will try my best to clarify to you what I want. I would like Anet to keep the gemstore items, but change how outfits would work.

The reason I said “stop pumping items into the gemstore” is because Anet is too focused on the outfits which have great aesthetics that people may want instead of having to use the whole outfit.

With people buying items from the gem store it will bump up the prices for gems. Mabey I should have lebeled the title as SLOW DOWN THE INTRODUCTION OF GEMSTORE ITEMS. To your eyes you see me saying “Anet plz stop making money”, but mabey they should focus on quality items over quantity which could end up making people more content with what they buy.

Back to the outfits which is what i mainly want to talk about. The outfits are quality and should be split into the six different armor pieces once you BUY them from the Gem Store.

Another thing to realize is that a topic does not mean that you have to directly follow what it says, you can stray off from the topic.

It bugs me that arena net focuses on outfits and gliders than actual in game(not gemstore) armors and weapons. I like some of the outfits, but I want to be able to use some parts of these outfits…not the whole thing. I think many other people would agree with me that anet should focus more on the players ability to make their own look instead of following an outfit that requires you to spend mass amounts of money to get.

Anet needs to make money to fund this game properly.

We can’t keep catering to the free players who do not want to invest in their own game, they get enough free as is.

They do that with the gliders, back items, toys, and mining tools. along with the outfits and other things. I just want to be able to use different sections of outfits that I pay for. Keep the gem store stuff, but dont just lock the outfits where you are stuck with an amazing hood or chest piece and really bad looking boots and pants where you start to dislike the outfit to the point that you stop using it.

This is a company that needs to make money to give players stuff so they can make more money.

The gem store is how they make the bulk of their money, so you are asking them to not make money but keep giving you free stuff.

you were quoting a later post that I said and not the original post. Yes i understand that they rely on the gemstore for funding, but they are putting more effort into these outfits than different armor pieces in game that people will use more. Which is why I made this post.
IMO I feel that people will get the outfits because they like the look of them, but they don’t get the feeling of customizability which is why they eventually go back to their original armor look. This is why I think that they shoud at least make outfits a six part look that you can swap out with other armors.

instead of targeting allies these turrets would be targeting enemies that would be marked mabey? the only problem with the idea behind a turret build is that currently turrets are weak and can be easily taken out if focused by one player. The fact that they are stationary already takes out their viability in wvw due to the excessive movement of players in an open world field. In pvp the amount of aoe dmg has increased which allows the turrets to easily be taken out.

On a different subject this is one of the many reasons why people are mad at anet for taking away core builds in the game and forcing people to play the new style. Turret and gadget builds are a fine example of this, there is just no place for these play styles.

IMO I think turrets should be their very own kit. what I mean by that is allow turrets to be placed, picked up, and destroyed. each turret has the option be placed after being picked up and held, then while you are holdin them they will give the oprion to use a variety of skills that follow the idea of the turret.
-Rifle turret would have some rapid fire skill that goes even faster then when placed on the ground
-rocket turret could have aoe and tracking rockets shot out of it.
something like those could make an old engi core build come back.

everyone is throwing around excessive damage mods, evade frames, and unblockable as if these things are supposed to be everywhere.

i just think it needs a dmg buff. that is all I want.

Someone is salty over the fact that they lost money. if oyu make money through farming it will feel a lot better than making money through hoarding skins and other things. I am sitting with a lot of money that I earned without having to rip off other people because they want the ability to get some of the cooler weapon skins in the game.

Ranger – Commando – Rifle
Short-range, high-mobility weapon in contrast to the Longbow. And the Rifle trait gives a bonus to Endurance Regeneration while wielding a rifle! One commando trait deals bonus damage from stealth or against blind foes.

Skill 1: 8-gauge. Shoot your target. Range 900, deals more damage the closer it is (increments of 300)
Skill 2: Scattershot. Range 600 Cone AoE for damage, causes blind, and bleeding.
Skill 3: Black Powder Discharge – Inflict AoE burning around you, and stealth.
Skill 4: Stock Block – Block next attack then counterattack. Cancel the block to gain swiftness.
Skill 5: Charge Shot – Charge your enemy (melee range), shoot them for Big Damage, and launch them.

You are obviously a ranger lover and let me tell what is going wrong with this whole little insert.

1) This whole entire skill set up for the rifle is matching an engis rifle way too much
skill 3: cone shot that is 600 range is like blunderbuss
skill 5: charged shot is like overcharged shot
auto attack: and the auto attack is like the blunderbuss as it gets closer

2) you already get enough sustain from druid so adding an even more sustain from your so called commando traits would cause an extreme unfair advantage for rangers

3) you already have stealth skills on your longbow 3

4) rangers already have a condi bassed weapons that also work as dmg dealers

5) quit trying to be a thief, you can already insta gib any low health player which is why there is no need for attack bonus from stealth

6) You are just trying to make ranger an extremely over powerd class that does not make sense for the game

7) having a rifle on a ranger does not follow the type of class that it is

8) a scepter for more nature magic would work better

RANGER ALREADY HAS WAY TO MUCH PEW PEW! all i ever see from rangeers is them sitting in their towers doing longbow 4 and then 2, plz give them something else besides a tower weapon that makes them even more crap.

As most people have noticed their two weapons sets vanish when switching back and forth between them. This is something that is used to keep your backpacks visible, but at the same time this is making people question where your weapons actually go. I have been talking with many people on the idea of having a hide/visible option in the equipment panel to show both sets of weapons. By having that option people who like to have their backpack viewed over their weapons and the people who want to have their weapons visible can have the option. Many people I have talked to like the idea of having the both weapon sets shown on a character.

The only dilemma with this maybe the few occasions of running the same types of weapons like two single hand weapon sets or two two handed weapon sets:

-I propose that In situations like these the weapons need to be offset on the character. For instance the two two handed weapons on both sets should form an X shape on the back or put them lying by each other on the back where one is further up on the back than the other.

-Same goes for the two sets of single handed weapons, if a necro is using S/F with A/D then the Two main hands should be hanging with the Scepter on the front of the hip and the Axe on the back of the hip, do the same with the two offhands.

-Another weapon that may cause an issue would be a shield. Like in many midevil movies the shield can be used to holster the larger swords on the back. So what i am trying to say with this one is that keep the shield where it usually lays on the characters back only let the Great sword or Staff sit in between the back and the shield and have the mainhand that goes with the shield wit on the sides

These ideas come from myself and a few other gw2 friends who all are hoping that Anet will one make this a reality.

As a person who mains engi I see many issues happening here and there but the big one that i have noticed is that lack of magnet pull working due to terrain. If you are executing a magnet pull on an uphill terrain where you are pulling them uphill they will just get knocked over and not pull to you. Even on flat terrain if there are a few bumps in it they will just get knocked over and not pulled to you. The success rate that magnet pull works is very low and without magnet pull actually pulling players to you messes up my skill chain. I personally think that this is happening due to terrain because when i am in an open flat area magnet pull will work just fine.

I have been trying to get mats for my legendary and I have been trying to kill the monsters to get them for about a month or 2 and so far I have gotten no where. it is very frustrating and I really want my bifrost. but I cant buy all the mats because im not rich. what should I do, and if you have the same problem say something.
