As far as I’m concerned they better fix it or I’m just gonna ditch the game, since I get headaches and can’t really see anything around me except straight ahead.

The reason people keep asking for this is because they can’t see anything.

The reason they cant see anything is because the cone of the field of view is insanely low.

How about removing salvaging from monthly achievments? I don’t salvage anything and I have no reason to unless I want to lose money.

seems to me that you don’t see that their wvw queue is completely filled even at night&morning = obviously americans on eu servers

It’s also extremely tedious when many of these people lag like kitten because of that exact same reason

As we know arborstone is populated by both french from europe and canadian french making the server active 24/7 since they’re constantly at peak hours.

Don’t think I’ll be touching wvw at all until we get a better balance, since I constantly lose money on armor repairs too.

I play on Whiteside Ridge, which is an EU (non-specific server).

Someone advertised for a guild in what I think was Italian, and he was immediately shouted down by two people for “not speaking English in the public chat”. One of these people then got into how, because it’s an EU (non specific) server, everyone should speak in English on the /map channel because “it’s polite.”

I got quite annoyed by this. I’m English but I’ve lived in different places in the EU, and it annoys me. I actually find it to be somewhat racist that he tells someone that they should not speak in a language other than English in the /map channel.

Am I over reacting, or do other people find this quite disturbing?

I’m not english and my native language is also NOT english, but I strongly believe that when we are on a multi-nation server and when using a PUBLIC chat, everyone should speak an international language which is english.

I’ve seen many commanders by now… How do people get 100 gold (Besides exploiters obviously) when I’m level 80 and maximum I’ve had is 8?

This would be a very difficult thing to implement in the game, since sometimes when previewing light AND heavy armor (or any other combination), the textures get completely bugged out.

I agree with all of this but arenanet probably can’t make changes to some of these suggestions (such as the commander not having anything to do with gold).

Also want to add that players can’t notice enemies well enough when they zerg from behind which is a field of view issue actually.. would be nice to get a slider.

Arenanet doesn’t give a single phuck about people wanting field of view in order to remove headaches from their gaming experience.

Too bad that multi monitor users have a huge advantage since they get like a 140 field of view making them see like 300% of what a normal 24inch monitor user can see.

This is so strange about the FoV thing. I can scroll my wheel back so far and see a lot around me. Only occasionally will the camera get close to my character depending on what’s in the way. I guess I’d have to see a screenshot or video of this to understand what people are complaining about.

Field of view is an entirely different thing. If you’re interested in it, check wikipedia or youtube, it’s easy to find and understand.

Get the field of view option in the game already.. my head is pounding after playing a few hours every time. I hardly even notice castles on cliffs because the field of view is SO INCREDIBLY LOW.

This also makes the game sort of pay 2 win, since everyone with triple monitors can force the game into having a huge FOV making them able to see more around themselves, while others without such setup are completely handicapped with a scope view.

People have requested a field of view setting ever since the first beta and it still hasn’t even been acknowleged by any member of the arenanet team as far as I am aware. Why?

I havent encountered a single homosexual in the game and I’m in the level 71 storyline, which proves that it is in fact NOT forced. It doesn’t even neccesarily occur.

This is probably unlikely to happen since the developers should probably add textures for every dye on every weapon into the game. Would have been a nice feature though, kind of like in DC universe online.

I absolutely agree, I have trouble playing the game without getting headaches after some playtime. It’s also really difficult to navigate around areas in PvE for me, since I can’t really see much without zooming the camera out as much as possible.

No FoV option also provides a HUGE advantage to players with multiple monitors in PvP since they automatically get a highly increased field of view making them see twice as much as any other player. I personally think this is unacceptable.

Really hope to see an option in the near future.

I can understand why players want dyes account bound, but arenanet said that this isn’t going to get changed, so I REALLY don’t see the point in making yet another pointless thread about it.

Most dyes are sold for under 1 silver in the trading post anyway, so it’s not like it’s really hard to get them.
