It’s an overflow issue, in normal server entrance we did 5 man dungeon

So over 200G to craft a weapon in a long term, which is not going to be even in Halloween.. I don’t see the reason why so high for this, makes no sense if all the other skins are around 5-25G in the trading post, please someone enlight me, we already have Legendary weapons for this LONG TERM goal, why you needed to add this ones?

We didn’t have this problems in GW1 events, with items for that time, being a long term goal.

What the kitten is that madness amount of mats for those skins?
Why they don’t put anything to make it fun and have to work for it, but over 200g to get one?

I did my share of kittening. And I stand behind my posts and criticisms. The whole fiasco with Black Lion Chests felt tainted and unclean. In all of my transactions with Anet (and there have been many, I have an Eve standee in my room for kittens sake), that is a first.

But credit where credit is due, the rest of the event has been great. The decorations look spectacular, the quests were fun, all of the flavor text and dialog from NPCs was a fine touch. The art and content teams have done an absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see whats left in store. A lot of love and effort went into the event and it shows.

Most fans know not to hold Anet as a whole responsible for the short-comings or bad decisions made by one department. Content, programmers, art, audio and design teams I’m sure had little influence over cash-shop decisions. One bad grape doesn’t spoil the whole bunch and I appreciate the rest of the studios hard work and creativity.

For that rule make the T3 armor exotic too right? they are skins, that’s it, easy.

My whole legion is enjoying it, and we come from GW1, we like to check everything for ourselves and check what’s going on and ask people in-game, said this, it is a great event, I don’t even wanna point a game where they just gave you a hat, and say happy halloween, instead theme cities, low level areas, lobby of pvp, acts with different quest, themed jumping puzzles and many things, I mean, come on.
The only thing I complain about is the chests, and they said already they are going to workaround to give those people as well a chance to get things halloween related, so what’s the big deal now?

They made an update in another post, Regina Buenaobra said to keep all the halloween stuff, they are going to reward us with halloween related items in exchange for them if we are unlucky.

Impatient people, that’s it, nowadays everyone don’t like surprises and everything served. I love how they make us wait to see more things, is better than just do all content in a day, and then everyone will be like: THAT’S IT? OMG!! .

Put more doors in high-end with the same level of mobs or similar everywhere around, Everyone will split up and breath out the low level zones and find gates with no so many people, I don’t think is that hard to do, and it’s a really good solution, we were talking about this in guild.

Why you don’t pass it to another character as town clothes if you don’t have enough space? is account bound, you don’t need so much rocket science to give you the solution I did now…

One question Regina, Halloween-related items, means candy and the gold drops, or skins? Cause that’s a big question too many will expect items such as cosmetic, the skins itself I must say, so I will like to clarify this before everyone goes into a wrong conclusion and hit the ground having false thoughts on the matter.

Is going to be updated soon like some of you guys said, or like Bill said in the next full build? I think is a minor fix and should be up now with the paid tournaments tbh not in 1 week … :/

Was supposed to be for the next patch Robert, not in Halloween but the next, is this true or is still not fully tested? Cause in the first place was nearly released for Halloween but then you said “needs a bit more of testing, so I hope it ships for the 22nd update, if not for next” or so I understood.

And still no word of ANET on this, we know you read this, why you don’t say anything back to us? It’s really annoying when this happens.

Nope, what they meant that the costumes are going to be selling just in Halloween, and yes they are totally worth it with the minipets, what is NOT worth it is just the gambling chest and crafting the weapons in-game, in this aspect ANET slipped hard.

I just don’t realize how they didn’t put the skins for sale directly in TP some of them, and not the gamble (cause in the next days people is going to stop directly buying BLChest, in my server is the only thing in LA are talking about) and the crafteable weapons as I stated up, are just insane pool of money.

But yea, let’s wait for a Dev response on why this “decisions”.

So let’s say, Colin, that I have my girlfriend level 50+ she doesn’t play much, and well she does really like actually the Spider Bow, that means she needs to use over 125g to buy Lodestones, and the whole recipe.. I really don’t know what to think anymore, I remember going to LA in GW1 and changing an amount of “Christmas candy” for theme weapons, and everyone was happy with it, even if it was a white item that in the end you couldn’t use, but this is outrageous.

I do think the dresses with the skills and the design are totally worth the gems they cost, the minipets as well, they are lovely, beautiful and the hood is as well a pretty cool hat.
But then you come to Gamble us like in Aion with those chest, that has a chance, MINIMAL nonetheless to give you a skin, and in the top of that the crafted skins cost you kitten loads of money to do. Lodestones, really? can’t you see the demand there is already, but even put more into it? Why you don’t make it fun? I’m starting to lose a bit the patience with the company, the game itself is lovely, but you are making decisions not worth the effort, I don’t know, I hope you guys start putting down how many mats we need and more things, this should be accessible for everyone and not some selected guys, some of us plays not so many hours, others like me a bit more, but even then, I don’t wanna grind, I wanna have fun with my whole guild, NOT this, I just can go back to Aion for it.

EDIT: 1 Destroyer Lodestone is around 1,5g EACH at this moment.

What I meant was they crafted gift with about 8g, they had some battle of wine already (sorry mystypo I’m very slept still :P)

Actually you can get all this items really fast O.O mobs drops like crazy, so this is actually nothing to complain, go AHEAD and check the black lion’s chest, that’s the only issue to be honest, a guy in my guild, for 8g already made a weapon… so really chest are the worst thing, this is actually doable and nice.

Simply, I will only put gems for the Skins of armor, those are worked truly and beautiful with all the skills they have, fun and nice, worth all my gems.
As well for the other cosmetic like the hood or the boxer gloves, but this BLChest was the milking cow name Arenanet didn’t need to have, and everyone is going to spread, which in the end, they are losing more than winning.

The gems on this is totally worth it, account bound, unique skills, totally changing the enviroment, ACCOUNT BOUND, 700 gems, Good job arenanet.
But what you have done with the chest.. that has no name

BOught 40 key, 1 drop of them a pauldron, from 40 chest..
The only good thing is the Armors from Mad King and The Witch, those are excepcional, for the rest, shame on Arenanet with this gambling kitten bs.
You could have done the same for the weapon skins and win WAY MORE money and WAY MORE player happiness overall.

40 chest opened, the same 2 pauldron’s this is completly kitten, I mean really, put them up for GEMS and I will buy all of them, but a gamble and then benefy some of them cause they were lucky to open 1 chest and get one of them? Is totally ridiculous, I’m really fed up right now.

To be honest I see let’s bots everyday, and they actually said that this was temporary, but till when? It’s killing it up for a lot of people, I remember farming first 2-3 weeks, that was good, really good table of loot, and the time worth, not, randomly it is.

Hope a Dev update this somehow.

This guy usually is updating us with some info, and today he was talking about DR system, and it’s quite interesting to see and read.

How you feel about it?

• I know is being talked a lot already, but I agree with him in 1 thing: “It pop ups remotely, I can get 5 golds in 30min, or nothing for 2 hours, which is frustrating”, to be honest I feel the same way many times.

@AnthonyOrdon It this indeed a dirty move that you guys put “skins for gamble on the black lion chests” why simply don’t put those as a pack for gems in the TP?

We don’t live gamble in this game, and I don’t thinking most of us are here for that, I don’t need to remember Aion when it comes to gamble cause that was the worst experience ever. The keys will be selling a lot, since they don’t drop any longer as much as they use to be. I played a lot last 3 weeks without a drop of them.

So please reconsider what are you doing, I will pay for them directly on the TP I myself bought gems for halloween, but if any of this gamble is again going for christmas, I think you will lose quite a bit of credibility.

TL:DR You will earn more money putting the skins as a pack or separate on the TPost, and not gambling the people on the “Keys” for chests.

EDIT: Hope you update us a bit more guys, and which chances we have..

I really hope it gets kicked in at Halloween patch or during halloween, since a lot of people is going to come back to play from exams or taking a break, and is going to be what most of them needed, as well talking from the experience I got from my guild.

Said this, if it need more tuning, take your time, in the other hand, as soon as posible, the better for everyone, and that includes you guys, we love your dungeons, and we love to do them, and we will not mind a bit more of drops <3 and difficulty in a time near the future like hardmode

HERO.2057 Why you only make topics “saying” the game is dying? or asking for “Tank DPS Healer?” I think we all know to which game you belong, and where is the door for you.

Permanent DR here, 1 week of farming yields 2 ectos and alot of garbage drops after varying my gaming time with wvw. Getting 50 ectos for 2 sets of jewelry for my level 80s seems nearly impossible at this point. This needs to be fixed with the Oct 22 update or sooner. All of this innovation and no way to combat bots without destroying players’ fun. FIX THIS!!

Many of us feel like you, but this is going to be like Rangers forums, closed cause we just “complain”, and I feel really bad when it comes to that.
They say “animation bug to fix”, when it was a nerf, people complain about it, they close the thread, giving a really bad taste of mouth to everyone, and only a dev replied 2 times in 700 POST, is ridiculous.
And here is the same way, I see Dev’s replying to things like: My skin is glitching! But noone replying to game mechanics, which IMHO is the most important part of this game, and this DR system, in dungeons, drops, and events, then why in the first place you put them on, Karma you can’t trade it, you use it for yourself, that there’s a limit in events for it feels totally WRONG.

I hope they start dealing with the bots soon and stop this “systems” we are not here to test the game when it’s released, we had long betas for that, I really don’t like the way they are handeling this situations, and even less the situations in forums, where if they just posted “something” or “updated us” many people will be more than pleased, but no, they just come and ask for “positive feedback” and how do you expect people to react when they just come along with such things?

I’d advise someone behind the scenes to post an update to the ranger forums about this issue and lock and sticky it for the time being. Anything less would be insulting.

The best way to kill a mmo is to ignore the player base.
They are going down a dark road if this is to be how this game is going to be run…. we aren’t even 2 months in.

I think there is a chance to get some new black lion content from the gem store. Various items have been popping up in the game database and Colin said that we expect to see these very soon, according to an interview it could of been released anywhere between the 12th or some time this week. Unless they decided to hold it out till the 22nd.
But expect various bug fixes, i’m not anticipating any major skill tweaks because of Halloween.

That for me will be a huge lame excuse that for halloween there’s no balance, since the game has many groups of people focusing on differents things, or that’s at least what they told us, but the main question was: Are we going to have a patch? no answer yet, which I don’t like, like usually.
And yes, let’s hope that they do something about Ranger before this explodes.

Yea, apart from Ranger forums and Necromancer, is going insane, but as you said, server restart is needed a events de-stuck as well
