The higher costs are mosty due to salvaging for either the low level mats or to make the monthly goal. But in the end it is all about making money.
Personally I would sell the superior sigil for the gold, then pick up a major sigil for a few silver lol.
Go here: https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ then click on ask a question.
You’ll get an icon with the number inside it right above 6 thur 0 bar. A grey circle.
I tend to pick fights with the ice elementals the norn starter area, northern section of the map. Their projectile attacks are slow and give plenty of time to dodge, as well as their ground based attacks.
And will cost about 250,000 karma for the full set.
How long ago did you submit the ticket? Can take them up to 3 days.
Basically, you don’t. Though you can trait into an ability that will allow you to live through it if you successfully kill something while vengence is active. Personally I just do not use that ability while downed.
When I am playing low level characters I tend to upgrade armor every 5-6 levels with armor from the tradepost, just because it is cheap. At about 39 I start upgrading every 10 levels as the costs go up. I save all my karma for my level 80 characters for temple gear (mainly accessories).
There are no bonuses with dyes, it’s all just cosmetic. There is no costume maker either, it is all done in the dye panel.
Really if you do not like the skins, and want zerker stats, just buy the Beserker set of exotics. I think CM is the easiest dungeon, but the armor is not that great.
YES – In time of course, but not yet and Only if the increase included multipule areas of higher levels. Eventually this game will have to add in more vertical progression or it will die.
What profession are you trying to complete it with? I’ve done it on my Warrior, Ranger, Gaurdian, Elementalist and Mesmer, only dieing when I accidently used the wrong skill (an evade skill) and fell to my death (more times than once) LOL.
I use https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Asw6geixye5HdFItQ0pWRUhyVExNbGY2MWZkMkIxS3c#gid=0
Its easily searched.
Search the trade post for level 80 rare armor and you will see that the sets are specificaly named Knights, Beserker, Rampager, Clerics ect.. That is what a person means when they say they have all Knights gear. Simple as that.
Although I was kicked from this guild for some reason, I am still available to help people on the Maguuma server, just whisper or ingame mail me if needed.
My first character was a ranger as well, and to date has about 248 deaths, my latest level 80 is a elementalist with only 33 deaths (mind you thats my 5th level 80) why such a large difference in death counts? Over time I learned to play smarter and my elementalist has yet to do a dungeon lol..
Now mind you, I am not saying that you don’t know how to play, but in time you’ll learn which of the skills work best together, what traits are the best, what armor stats help the most and which pets are the best for the different fights.
Like others have mentioned, at your lower levels focus on vitality and toughness, these stats will allow you more time to learn the rest of the stuff as you go. As you get higher in level and get a better grasp on the game/fight mechanics then you can place more focus on power and precision stats.
Each amror set be it bezerker, knight, cleric, giver, rampager ect… comes with its own base stats (power, precision, crit damage, healing ….) plus the rune slot. Then there are many different runes you can place in them. So basically you could have a full set of knights armor, with a full set of runes of your choice. By default almost all level 80 sets do not have runes already placed in them so you can mix and match all you want.
The easiest thing you can do is search the trade post and see all the different sets and runes.
Although I don’t WvW yet I do watch the scoreboard and it seems like the the folks here tend to dominate that realm.
As for PvE its not to bad depending on the time of day and the area your in, some places seem deserted, while others have a ton of people. We definately do not have a population issue. The majority of people here are friendly and helpfull, it is very rare I see someone call out for help and not get it.
Looks like they were working on the site, it’s back and loading fast.
The color of their name. NPC’s are green, Players are more of a teal/blue.
Each race has it’s own level 1-15 area, go visit them all. Do the hearts, skillpoints, work on map completion and do the occasional DE and you’ll be level 25-30 in no time.

You might need to copy paste the url.
Seems to be working now, just very slow to load.
With 9 gold I’d likely look into getting level 80 rares and then start working the dungeons, by the time you have the dungeon gear you want you should also have enough gold saved back up to purchase the exotics you want.
Dungeon runs, craft or buy from TP are the ways to get weapons. I do not believe there are lvl 80 karma vendors with weapons.
I’d have to say Warrior actually. Mobs tend not to stay at range long, and the warrior can take a beating where the Ranger can not.
Name: Aly (Alley) is the name I respond to the best.
Main Character: Cecchino Diezalot (80) Ranger and Soturi Diezalot (80) Warrior
I actually have 7 characters at different stages of the game that I bounce between given my mood.
Current Server: Maguuma
Interested Activities: PVE anything. I enjoy running dungeons (all of them except FoTM) as well as running around exploring.
Active: Daily, currently unemployed so I am round through out the day and evenings.
Additional Comments: Always willing to help out with most anything: dungeons, personal storys, skill points, general exploration and even answering questions. Most of the time I am off leveling more alts which gets boring so I tend to jump at the chance to do something different.
Are you willing to participate in Operation: UNION’S project, Y/N?: Y
First off, try going to different zones, for each race there is a 1-15 leveling area, I tend to get bored being in one area too long so I bounce around the map.
Don’t be afraid to try out multiple guilds, you can be in up to 5 at a time, so keep trying till you find one right for you.
And yes, most MMO type games just give you the basics and leave the rest to be figured out, so keep reading both here and on the Wiki to help figure things out.
Human/Female because I like the way they look.
I love/hate Orr.. Love it on my warrior with a tanky type build as it is still a challenge to solo there, but not too flusterating, but I hate it on my ranger as I don’t have a good melee build. I prefer Cursed Shore over Malicors Leap though as it seems to have more “friendly” places to stop and rest.
I know my Warrior’s plate armor from the Cursed Shores karma vendors has that shiney look using Iron Dye.
Same here, the character I was playing in Caledon Forest will not load in. Other will elsewhere.
Seeing commander icons in PVE make absolutely no difference to me. They do not bug me in the least bit. If they happen to be running chain events I’ll follow along but generaly I just ignore the fact they are there and do my own thing.
I have a level 80 ranger and have enjoyed it since I got my first bow. I didn’t have any issues with leveling, but expect to die alot as they are not very stout. My only real complaints about the profession is that I see “obstructed” all to often, and the longbow is slow.
As Aeleniel mentioned, explore the other level 1-15 areas and do the hearts and aim to complete 100% of each of the areas. Just finding Waypoints and POI’s grant XP.
Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I would really like to see more player character voices availble. I have 3 human female characters, each one looks totally different, but they all sound the same
Having two 80’s now it seems to me there are 3 things to do after hitting 80.
1) Work on 100 percent map completion.
2) Complete personal story.
3) Grind/Farm (cough.. Horizontal progression)
I think you answered your own question. Out of the professions listed the Ranger is the only one you said you liked… So stick with the ranger.
Wow Jon I was expecting you to actaully fix some things with the ranger… All you released is a serious joke and definately not worth the wait or hype. What a waste of an update.
As far as I know, the only way to get new town clothing is to buy them with gems. So if you destroy the default ones you’ll be without unless you pay cash.
What server are you on and if you like you can have a look on this topic:

As I mentioned hehe I am on the Northern Shiverpeaks server
I am new to GW2 but not to MMOs, I played EQ1 and Age of Conan for years. I am looking for a small to mid size guild to grow with on the Northern Shiverpeaks server. I am mostly into the PVE aspect of the game, though later my might venture into the WvW areas.
Currently I have a lvl 20 human ranger but will be creating and trying out other races and classes as time goes on. I am not a hardcore player by any means, but do enjoy end game content (once I get there).
