I would need 100 keys to open all my chests, and really I have no interest in spending the money to open them. I wish I could sell them.

I’ve been gone from game for 4 years so I am trying to get back into it. I am just starting the Living World 2 portion of the game and wonder is this solo’able? Or will I need groups to get through it?

Secondly, with the gliders, can you actually fly? or are they just for looks?

Yes you can.. My level 40 Norn is already wearing T2 cultural.

Players have fought hard through the Straits, Malicore and Crused shores to complete the personal story and map completion, but in the end nothing changes. Why not make it different.

Once 100% Orr map completetion is done, and the personal story is complete, change the Orr zones to different level areas where the great temples and city have been rebuilt, and the heros fight other elder dragons and their minons to prevent another down fall..

Currently salvaging it part of the monthly so I have been salvaging everything, but normally I just vendor sell everything except level 78+ rares. Those I will sell on the TP of the price is right, or salvage for the ecto’s.

And they are account bound, not soul bound..

I have seen this as well. I fall, land, try to move anf the fall repeats itself, sometimes 3 repeats in a row.

You can not place multiple runes to a single piece of armor. One rune per piece.

One easy way to make some gold regaurdless of level is to use the laurels you get from dailies and monthlys to buy the T6 bags of crafting mats, open them all and sell the mats on the TP. You could also buy the unidentified dyes as sell those as well.

I like how they did it in Age of Conan. Your guild could have a city, buildings and vendors for all crafting skills, bank and trade post access, class specific trainers ect… and the members of the guild built it from the ground up. The citys were on their own tier scale t1-t3 and certian buildings gave different buffs for guildies, the higher the teir the better the buffs. Every thing needed to build was harvestable except blueprints that were sold on a vendor. It give the guild a sense of pride having built their own city.

I think something like this, maybe not in such a large scale would make guild halls available for all guilds, no matter the size and by adding a few guild wide buffs for the building would make it worth doing.

I am glad to hear you got the help needed, but for future players that might need a tip for this fight, you can run out of combat range and heal up, then rejoin the fight.

Likely depends on server and area. Seems like Queensdale is the only populated starter zone anymore.

Yes, rares would be fine for just running around maps.

Sounds to me like you have a backdoor keylogger installed. I’d be looking for that and any other backdoors that have been installed.

I guess my main would be my Ranger, as it was my first level 80, and usualy the one I take on dungeons and events, but I have 6 80’s that I pretty much play on a semi-rotation.

Having both an 80 guardian and warrior, I prefer the guardian as it does good enough dps and can take some serious damage. The warrior can run into trouble with 3 or more mobs on it. (Least it does for me). As for race I think the Asura is the funnest of the two, they have some cool animations, were the Norn just seems slow and clunky.

Saw the shout-outs for your guild this evening, will try to get ahold of someone tomorrow sometime. Have seen the guild around since I started playing and have always wondered what kind of a guild you all would be like.. might as well as a look. heh.

Yes the risen are harder than other creatures..They made changes to the undead that made it easier to deal with them in the Orr zones, but those changes did not filter down to the lower level ones. A trick to Claw Island and beyond with the personal story line is to always let the Pact engage the enemy first when ever you can.

I have the BradyGames GW2 guide and really it was not worth the cost. The only part of it I really used was the maps, but then I found better maps online so now the book is up on a shelf somewhere.

LMAO… So you think that the developers should live, eat, and breathe GW2? Don’t know about you but after work the last thing I want to do is go home and do the same thing I do there.

Many times they tag on the update with the last major patch. Look at the last major patch and you’ll see like 6 replies to it, that is their minor updates.

If you feel like wasting time then just pick a tree or an ore node, if they all of the sudden pop out of nowhere then harvest then blink out it’s most likely a bot. If they run up to the node, harvest then blink out it is most likely not a bot. Most of the time though with the non-bot there will be a delay before they leave.

What I usually do if I am in the mood is quickly write down the player name, add it to my friends list then decide weather or not to report. Most of the time the player name might seem somewhat normal, but the account name will still be something like wqeihwq.XXXX

At his time I am not too worried about an expansion as there are still goals I have to complete such as Dungeon Master and Been There, Done That.. (on 4 or 5 characters) After which I am hoping for new content to work on, and not just the living story junk that can be completed in a few hours.

Not really, it’s still all random, just once you get to the higher levels they toss in a chance for a rare item to drop or maybe if you’re really lucky an exotic.

Yeah its 25%.. The buff icon description was never updated.. It is the same with the Ranger too.

Personally at the lower levels I focus alot on map completion.. Visit each of the citys and the 4 level 1-15 maps and get 100% completion for those. During that time I also work on my personal story line. Then I start working on the level 15-25 maps and so on.

I have both, an 80 gaurd and 80 warrior and out of the two I prefer my gaurd over the warrior for solo play as it has better survivablity skills and can still kill things at a decent speed.

Peronally I come into a new MMO with the mindframe of playing for years, not months. After 8 years in EQ1 and 4 years in AoC I’ve become acustom to the grind to get what I want from the game, might take me a year or two to do it, but I’ll eventually get it.I have 4 – 80’s in full exotics already and see no need to upgrade them asap, Over time they will get their amulets and rings.

Race is just personal preference, it does not make a difference really. I’d check out the elementalist first as they have great support skills and can be killing machines. Check out the elementalist forum for more tips on builds and play style.

Like these folks said… Just by going to the different citys and starter zones and working on map completion you can get up to level 25 or higher pretty fast.

You can join up to 5 guilds but can only represent one of them. So say you want to join a new guild, get an invite, then click represent to represent that guild. If you were in 5 guilds, then you select the guild you want to rep and click represent to change guilds.

Dungeons: You’re correct that you can not access the dungeons until you’re level 30 and thats just story mode, got to be 35 to do explore. As you level more dungeons become available.

Living Story: The first part of the event (the prelude) is leveled for the map, level 1-15. I have not started the second part, but I am guessing it is around the same level range.

Spending karma and the temple vendors is another way to get exotic armors. 250,000 karma will get you a full set. Of course that about 36 completed dailys

Personally I have only gotten exotic drops from dungeons. I’ve heard they can drop from the chests after the dragon fights and such, but have yet to see it. Off open world mobs all I have ever seen was a rare every now and then.

I tend to name mine using other languages, Dutch, Danish, German, Italian ect.. Then I also use a surname “Diezalot” on all my characters.

Just by exploring and doing the heart quests you should be able to level up fairly quickly. I’ve so far solo’ed 4 professions to 80 and have not been playing real long (compared to others)and I have noticed that some professions level faster than others. For example I started a new warrior and after a day of playing it was 15, but my Mesmer levels much slower and was lucky to gain 5 levels in the same amount of play time.

Hmm I’ve been playing a shortbow/bear pet ranger since I started (4 80’s ago) and have yet to be accused of botting and I even run around harvesting heh.

You’re getting the 25% movement increase, just when they changed it from 10 they did not update the active icon. But I do agree that the Spirit of Nature is no longer working. It used to, but not anymore.
