gear is extremely easy to get considering the fact that u dont ever have to switch the asc gearIt used to be easier. Back when Exotic Berserker gear (with Ruby orbs!) was BiS, running all paths for CoE every day for two weeks gave enough tokens for a full set of exotic armour, and another four days for a set weapons. Gearing up was effectively free. And we still got gold to boot!
Compare that to well over 500g in mats required to craft the equivalent in Ascended gear.

It’s like 10g a day average plus maybe another 2 or 3 in drops, not that much to be honest. The only consistent endgame rewards from fractals are Ascended rings, and everyone who ever did fractals has a surplus of them anyway. The armour and weapon chests have a relatively low drop rate (around 12%).
Either way, there was a time when getting max level. BiS gear wasn’t prohibitively expensive or tedious. Those were good days.

There’s a pretty big demand for accessible and rewarding 5-man instances, and a lot of people miss the daily dungeon tours. Thus, fractals have to be quick and easy because they are replacing dungeons.
Raids are the go-to for time consuming and challenging instances.
a single raid with 3 kittening bosses cannot be the go to for challenging content

Nope. I’d rather they let us make continue to make our own lazy decisions. And I especially don’t want to see 59 or 69 Cliffside again, as long as I live. We get plenty of variety on the lower levels. 51+ is just a quick gamble for Ascended chests.

I had suggested of any three fractals in that fractal level range, making it three unique fractal maps within that fractal level range.
In any case, it’s the players choosing to do three swamps. You can always create a LFG for the levels that you want to do which are not swamp.

a simple solution:
this has been done in many MMOs,when you are giving a good reward for a daily dungeon u HAVE to limit the number of choices
so for example lets say that every day the system generates 6 random fractals in the range range(lets say it generates from 50 and higher ) and you have to do 3 out of the 6
see how simple it is? after such a change ppl will actually get to see every fractal more than once
same principle could be applied to daily dungeons and it will also justify a decent reward

It would fix 90% of their mechanic problems in raids/fractals. It would allow people to run tank builds, healing builds, and dps builds.
We get it, the removal of the holy trinity sounded cool. But it doesn’t work. Clearly. Please give us a taunt that every class could learn just for pve. It doesn’t have to be added in PvP.

However, having something unique does not make it worth taking. This will always be the case and doesn’t change even if you split balance between PvE and PvP.
Part of the problem with the current state of “Balance” if you will, is that it happens so infrequently, and is inconsistent by design. If you read their “state of the game” they intend the next balance patch to shake up the meta drastically…This should never ever be a design goal. A more realistic goal would be to have a shape for which you want PvP to be in and aim for that with constant small tweaks during season while using off-season/pre-season to brainstorm and test more holistic changes (things like new maps/modes/changes to match making etc.).
PvE problems are a can and a half for other reason. Mob design and Mob AI limit any sort of builds that are “reactionary” eg. Daredevil (thief in general) and the constant design change to remove skill viability (see removing stealth from cannon phase of Mai Trin) doesn’t promote skilled/strategic gameplay like it really should.
Of course there’s always a numerical side to balance that is out of whack somewhere, but if all classes were “equal” you would run into the class stacking issue we already have. Thus the problem with “balance” on either side of it you run into the same issue of stacking whatever is most optimal.

mesmers for examples have rather low damage yet u still want 1 in your group over a double anythin else cuz they have a unique buff

We already know that it is not a problem with the Anet server (every single player would have an issue) and you seem pretty sure its not your computer, so the issues is somewhere between them. You cant say every other game works fine, because they use different routes.
As it has been said many times, use traceroute or ping plotter and determine where the problem is.
i havent had any issues today so far and it seems things are back to normal
guess the magical problem along the way resolved itselfIf it happens again during the evening hours when most people are on then I’m sure it’s your ISP.

Never mind I was just trying to help. People post about this often and I bring up the issue where a server problem results in everyone experiencing problems. So you can rule that out since not everyone is experiencing problems. It could be an issue with your hardware or your settings being too high and having issues like over heating or lots of other things. But if you are set on it being a server issue I won’t try any harder to change your mind and I hope you can figure out what’s wrong. You can also put in a support ticket if you like Though idk how far that will get you.

You can try running a repair. But if there isn’t a huge outcry that there’s issues server side then it is on your end. If it is server side it will affect everybody not just a select few. To be honest I’m not good at advising in these things. But yeah it really can’t be a server side issue. You can google and learn how to test for packet loss like by running a trace route. That can help you determine if it’s a hardware issue

why the sudden start now?How do you know your connection didn’t change? Internet connection works likes traveling to a distant city. The fastest way can get clogged up sometimes. Your ISP may be having issues or you may be getting routed a different and longer route or through a provider that has issues with packet loss. SEA and OCE refer to regions of the globe so distant players that are connecting to NA or EU servers but since they live so far away they have issues.
