Just my $0.02, but I think maybe they are looking at the time/skill involved? Fractals, while not terribly hard, do take a bit more organizing and time to do. While the dailies simply are not. I think they are looking at this as a supplement for those who don’t want to do FOTM, and this is what they offer in it’s place.

I dunno, that’s my guess.

If you want it sooner rather than later, then start working on it now. I would not hold my breath for the scavenger hunt, I am sure it will be upon us eventually, but in all honesty, I don’t think they are treating it as a priority at this time. I am sure there is going to be a huge time sink on the dev’s side just to implement this. Not even sure if they’ve even begun work on it, no one is.

Or they could just, you know, tell us where it might start at ^__^

Hate it when new content is dropped but no clear statement about how to start it off. That sense you get that you are missing out or falling behind because you haven;t started it yet, lol.

Really though, at least let us know where to start it off at.

Indeed, dailies are resetting at the same time the dailies reset before. Did we all forget that dailies, as such, reset EVERY DAY? And that they do so at the same time every day? That, at least, has not changed.

You don’t have to be in an actual group. I was on my ranger in Queensdale, and only had two after roaming around, so I got on my 80 warr, equipped a longbow, and went to pent/shelt.

I just spammed F1 in the crowds of mobs to create a fire field whenever I could, after two rounds of pent/shelt, I got the last 8 I needed.

I still think it’s slightly annoying, but doable. /shrug.

Just being quick here, but, the Devs have said that the January monthly will not award Laurels, the Feb monthly will. Dailies start now. If someone can provide a link to that dev statement it would be great, but this was discussed well in advance of the patch.

And it’s also stated in every one of these thread asking for the January monthlies to be retro- awarded.

I NEVER ONCE had to grind a zone, ever, not once. I literally just ran every zone, did every quest, ran all the dungeons.

Shaman’s Etched ANYTHING are a pain, whether you farm for them with Big Z, or buy one off the TP. I did it tho, love my Avenger ^__^ But yeah, the recipe won’t “pop” until you are level 80. Doesn’t really make sense that you can learn it at any level, but an’t use/make it until level 80.

I pretty much exclusively run fractals and dungeons with my guild, it’s just an overall great time, no worry about if we are going to have a pug with a queen, or angry boss-type, QQ’ers, people that can;t play or just die all the time…cutting the fat off so to say.

I just ran fotm and somebody got the Exotic Heavy Armageddon Pauldrons. Saved himself 42k karma, and about 4 days of waiting for the karma vendor to be available for two hours. ^__^

Aoshi, some confirmation from you whether or not the Guild 15% buff affects Jugs of Liquid Karma would be most welcome.

Indeed it works, I had no idea. I held off on putting it into the build queue because it says for dynamic events only. It works for liquid karma in all forms, and any other time you’d get karma. Awesome!

Midnight Ice is VERY dark, and has a blueish tine to it in the right light. Still pretty expensive tho. Also look at pitch.

Cause the Devs idea of a Legendary item is something totally opposite in acquisition and excitement in achieving then what you would expect of an item carrying the “legendary” title.

Look at me!! I have a legendary item!! Bought it off the TP!! That was most certianly a “legendary” adventure!

people complain saying they dont want a quest for the item..yet they prefer to buy it…so why not let the people who want it buy it or allow us to do a meaningful quest for it something thats fun and can take time..I dont care if the quest is split into many months..kinda like the wrathion legendary quest in WoW (dont flame cause I mentioned wow) Ill admi they are a grind to but at least disguised with other questing and raiding thus allowing us to grind the legendary quest while doing other stuff at the same time and once we reach a point we are treated to a fun and sinister story line at certain points in the quest.

You talk about those who want to buy it off TP. Great. If tehy have the cash, why does that even remotely concern YOU, what YOU do in the game, and how YOU play YOUR game?

But you forgot to mention the rest of us, going for our legendary the legit way…no rmt, good old fashioned PLAYING THE GAME. Grind, tp playing, I give less than one care about how any one wants to label it. It’s an option, and I opted for it.

There is all this talk about how valiant the folks are who want the path to be more epic, to be skilled and quest based, and that is great, but the other side of that is when everyone lumps the rest of those with legendaries or on the way to one as gold buyers or folks who can spend $4k on gems. Because you are forgetting the plenty of folks grinding out their legendary weapons the legit way, and those folks don’t want to be lumped with the rest of them. I’ve got 3 in my guild (including me) striving for a legendary, I have 525k karma left and I will be done, the others are more than half way to theirs, and not a single gem was bought. Plenty of gold dumped down Big Z, but if you can’t amass gold via farming and playing the TP, that’s your own problem, not ours. The tools are all there in plain sight, you just need to see them.

Yep, its the same on almost (if not) all the servers. Supposedly a fix is coming at the end of the month…supposedly.

I was thinking the same, but the farmers are having way too much fun there, and are absolutely keeping that from happening.

This is still going on (and has been) on Northern Shiverpeaks. Is a server reset like a monthly thing? Or some mighty weapon they call down to smite all the bugs away from the game? ^__^

I am supposing not too many tickets have been submitted on this because of the endless farming of drops going on.

I need karma though, lol, and this is a great area for de’s and meta’s…come on guys, give us a heads up on what’s going on ^__^

Still bugged as of a few minutes ago, Northern Shiverpeaks sever. How can something like this go on for so long without any kind of recognition? I know you have received tickets regarding it, and several posts here on the boards (amongst all the other broken de’s and meta events). I’ve bee a strong and outgoing supporter of the game so far, but you guys are killing it here.

Used to do the Queensdale circuit, hang at the ranch, troll will pop, bears and honey, someone will shout for wasp queen or champ boar, protect the caravan across the bridge, blahblahblah. Yhen I moved onto Orr…but now since it’s been borked for weeks now stuck on one event on my server (Northern Shiverpeaks), Penitent Point, I am returning to the Queensdale version…can usually get my daily in about 15 minutes give or take.

I personally do not care if it is respected or prestige or anything. I don’t care what others think of my toon. Arah armor, yes a lot of work and all that, but it is not the look I want. I happen to really like the skin on the legendary bow, I need something to work on as a longterm goal. Will it give me prestige? Admirers? Perhaps not. But hey I like it and thats all I need.

That was very well said, and if everyone heeded that, there’d be no more of these back-and-forth threads. Do it (or don’) for YOURSELF, and give less than a kitten about what others think.

Call it a journey, a grind, whatever. It’s a means to an end, and nobody is forcing you down that road one way or another.

That’s what the description says, but according to player feedback, the guild +15% bonus actually affects ALL sources of karma, including Jugs. I’m not sure if this is a bug or whether the description is incorrect.

Not sure about that, used to be when I was leveling up I’d do the Queensdale run (wasp, troll, barracuda, thieves, bears, pack doylak,etc) every night at the same time. Always got credit without fail…until now.

Is this why the events are all bugged in Orr right now? On a bunch of servers the Penitent Waypoint event won;t complete and is keeping all other de’s in the area from starting.

I was helping a guildie get skill points in Queensdale, we got 3, and I got the medal icon on each, but we still did another 7 events, and only 5 counted. Not sure what it was or what actual ones counted, but this behaviour is quite strange.

Same thing happened to me today, I did a total of about 10 events, with the last one completing my daily. 1/2 of them counted towards my daily.

What gives?

Still bugged as of a few minutes ago. A buddy of mine on Sea of Sorrows confirmed that it’s bugged there as well, in the same way, at the same spot.

Fix?

Chance at a precursor perhaps? Besides that, I dunno. Lot’s of loots and such I guess.

Agreed, but this particular bug is keeping any of the event chains from starting. Orr is pretty much shut down, and right at Penitent Point. On Northern Shiverpeaks, it’s been about a week. More on others.

I made a post about this as well, and it goes back to Arah, been happening across most servers, and has been going on for weeks for some. Still no official word though, even if this is like THE place to go to farm karma, but the events in the area are all blocked because of this.

I saw a post about it on here before, about how Anet should buy gw2lfg’s site, lol. I used it the other day, and it was great, got into a fractal group in about 2 minutes, worked like a charm.

Still bugged as of right now, but it’s decent for farming items off the risen I guess since they just keep coming. Events are great for karma though, and the zone is known as THE place to come farm karma at, and, well, it’s not happening here anymore. Is a fix on the way?

It’s also keeping all of the events on the map from spawning as well, since everything is contested.

1) Penitent Waypoint
The camp was destroyed by Risen; the event to rebuild the camp is frozen at about 60% completion. It will not progress further. The Risen can also not destroy the camp, rendering the Penitent Waypoint inaccessible and preventing the recurring events there from firing.

Same thing on Northern Shiverpeaks, endless waves of mobs for sure, but no event completing (like to kill my daily in orr, it goes by so quick). For this to be going on this long at one of the most popular maps in the game across this many servers without any kind of official word concerns me.

Northern Shivepeaks server

I logged out last night with the event at Penitent Waypoint unfisnished (protect teh camp), after playing the event for about 45 min, the progress never got over 75%, and the npc’s for some reason are huddled near the tunnel entrance and will not move away from it. Logged on this morning, and it;s the same thing, waves of risen still attacking, but the event will not complete.

The hearts were good for you when you were their level, yeah? Let’s leave the hearts as they are, and who they are for, and make use of those extra character slots.

I help my buddies in lower levels with my main, not sure what you mean by not having anything to do…if you’ve been through the map then you could be an efficient tour guide, show them the areas. Plenty to do imho.

It’s done now, why couldn’t you just go check? They are only up for like 2 hours, time is of the essence ^__^
