What really gets me is the hate that comes with these gold sinks. Look at what the commanders are going though, everyone hates on them, lol. Starting to be that way with legendaries too “Oh you must have bought that, RMT, hacker, etc”

Yes, they are port hackers. It’s been an issue for some time now. Usually naked.

Didn’t say I don’t fathom botters and such. Never once. But I am also not letting that get in the way of my game, and they way I want to play it, either.

If people want to cheat and RMT for it, that is their issue, and they will get caught eventually. I think you are trying to hide behind this false pretense of psuedo-worrying about bots and their ilk while crusading for easier methods of gaining legendary weapons, so you can get one with less effort. Not trying to call you out, I am saying this is the tone in which you are coming across with in your posts regarding this issue.

Getting a legendary isn’t meant for casuals. Only for those who are determined enough to go after it. The process to get one is fine as is.

Your other post has you calling for making them easier to make, and above you call them stupid kitten items. So, do you want a legendary, or do you want a stupid kitten weapon?

Which is it going to be?

1. You don’t HAVE to have a legendary, it’s COMPLETELY optional.
2. If someone wants to buy one on the TP, who are we to stop them? Waste of gold it may be, but that is their decision, not ours.
3. No one is owed a legendary, they are gotten, they are crafted, they are earned, please stop asking for the process to be made “easy mode” and thus water down what they are now.

I can feel your agony about the process, I really can. The difference is that some of us (including myself) got over it, and decided that since we wanted the Legendary, we are taking the necessary steps to achieve them.

It’s all relative, the skin is representative of the achievement, both a means to an end.

Going for my Twilight, not sure if I will be able to stomach going for TWO, lol.

Just helped a guildie Asurian with her personal story quest, and helped fight a golem named “OVR-9000”, so rad.

Legendaries are optional, and in no way an integral part of the game. I am guessing they don’t want to play for some other reason?

Every “level” you get after 80 garners you an additional skill point.

Its no worry. Ive done a ton of studying up on it. In fact, I am going for Twilkight, and the one page I keep going back to is the official GW2 wiki, it details each item, tells you where to get it, and how to get it. Pretty linear.

The reason I am guessing they suggested ractals is that you can get decent amounts of karma by running them, and the chance to break down exotics for globs of ecto. Ecto is expensive and you will be needing lots of them, and you will need roughly around 1mil karma (525000 for one gift, the rest to Zomorros towards your Clovers).

Make sure to do your dailies, save your liquid karma jugs for one big push, then burn a karma booster and put up karma banners from your guild (if you have them) to increase the karma you get from each jug.

You will get there, it will just take a while. Maybe a LONG while, lol.

You will get over 200 skill points from getting 100% map completion, which you will need to do as well. You can also use google to search for the recipe to any of the legendaries, the info is quite established and abundant, nowhere near the way it used to be with speculations and guesses.

I’ll be honest, Joe’s original video about GW2 is (amongst a few other things) the driving point that led to me buying the game.

I don’t regret it.

People aren’t grinding Legendary for it’s stats…we all know they PERFORM the same as most exotic weapons. It’s the skins we are after.

You can liken it to Ruby and Emerald Weapons from FFVII, you went through hell trying to beat both, and all you got was a useless gem with no stats.

But it showed everyone that you did it.

It’s just like that.

If they look cool to YOU, go for it. I can question their usefullness as you climb to level cap, but skins are skins, and some of them are decent.

Kinda tired of all the handout complaints, folks wanting more for less, but I guess that’s what we have to look forward to in a fee-speech forum such as this.

To me, for an OPTIONAL series of quests, the fact that you get anything is pretty cool, much less if you can flip it on the TP for some quick gold. Not really sure where the complaint for this can become valid.

Ugh, I am saving clovers for the last part. Hopefully we will see a “fixed issue with Mystic Forge” in the patch notes soon ^__^

Just happened to a guildie and me in Lions Arch. We both waited until we were out of the map queue and on the real map, joined up, and we cant see each other on the map, or in person. We were standing in front of the same NPC, could see our names on the guild roster and use guild and party chat, yet we were all but invisible to each other otherwise.

Ok, so I have some of the common guild issues going on:

Cannot access guild bank, and the guild bank NPC’s tell me I don’t even have one. Yet the rest of the guild is depositing and withdrawing all day, having fun. Mind you I am the guild leader ^__^

It says “Sea of Sorrows” next to the guild name on my guild panel, yet I am no longer there, I have been to Lions Arch and Divinity’s Reach, still says it while I am there.

I partied up with a guildie and we went to the guild bank npc Tricha in Lion’s Arch. He doesn’t show on my map, and vice versa. We are both in front of the same npc, and we can’t see each other ingame. We were both out of map queue as well.

Not sure what is going on, but any help is appreciated. I bought and spent inlfuence on the guild bank after the real one was already established because it was saying it wasn’t ready or available in my guild panel. In essence, I spent 1800 influence that I didn’t need to, because of this bug. Any help is appreciated.

Lol, YOU say it’s useless while others of us are trying to get as much of it as we can (including me) for the crafting of a legendary. If you can’t use it all, then so what? I am sure they will make more purchasable trinkets in the future, until then try to just ignore your glaringly large pile of karma ^__^

Hows about “I want new content AND a fix for the broken content we already have”?

I hear you. Yeah, you can get to cap in a day just by crafting if you have all the mats. and I am level 80 and have 45% of the map done ^__^ Need the rest for that legendary, lol.

I’m gonna guess it’s the Mystic Clovers, especially if OP went for the 10x recipe. Everything else is pretty straightforward, but the Mystic Clovers are sort of a gamble. Reason being is that there is a % rate at which Big Z will actually give you a Clover from the mats you feed him. Right now with the single clove recipe it’s right at about 33% success or so (appy-polly-logies if I am incorrect). So, about 3 per 10 tries. And that’s A LOT of karma down the drain.

If you reached cap in a week, that’s hardly “taking your time”.

Indeed, I think they ARE gathering info, but it seems to be about the end of it. No real fixes for the lag or fps, and nary a reply or official words besides merging threads or asking us to check the sticky on drivers and turning your cards performance to…well performance mode.

What are your cpu temps pre-and during load?

Of course Anet wants you to play longer, that’s just simple business. And let us not forget, ever, that Anet is first and foremost a BUSINESS. As soon as folks can understand this, the sooner we will have fewer threads like this one.

I can understand your frustration with the techs, and I am not going to say “be happy you got a response” because the response was lackluster…But yeah, I haven’t had any official help with my woes, and in fact I took care of it myself. I was having similar issues, but was running Win 8 Pro 64bit, and have a EVGA GTX 660TI. I ended up rolling the os back to Win 7 Pro 64bit and did NOTHING ELSE, and my game is running consistently smooth, upwards of 100fps, and over 50fpc in wVw. Not saying this is the fix for you, but more on the fact that the game is all over the place as far as bugs go, and no one can really explain why all these people are experiencing similar issues, all the while getting next to nothing in affirmative feedback form the devs and techs.

Lol Dusk itself is about 300g on the TP. I think the prices for mats required are a bit more steep than you have mentioned.

It’s a common issue, they are looking into it, blahblahblah…happens too quick most of the time to get a screenie, and even then, you never really hear back from them after you submit a ticket, therefore there is no real incentive to take action and report. There are a few threads around game bugs and tech even about this.

Regardless, it sucks. More people ruining the ingame economy.

Only reason I do is for karma jugs. That’s about it from me.

Indeed, I’d buy more gems if they’d update the gem store. They really need some new stuff in there, A LOT more skins, weapon skins, armor skins, etc. A permanent banking golem. STUFF.

It’s like that for a reason, stop trying to dumb it down or make it easier. keep plugging away and it will be all the more worth it when Big Z spits out your legendary.

I’m on the same road, and yeah, it’s tedious, but it’s also for a reason. I have the goal in mind, and think that it is awesome that the recipe is ridiculously intense.

I have heard of that working for some folks as well, ans the steps are outlined in the sticky for this as well. I tried that also, and as long as I was in the Win 8 environment, I still had the issues. Like I said, I rolled back and the game is perfect, maybe running better than most.

Too many variables and too many folks having different issues with the same set up, not enough consistency. I am sure it will be ironed out in the distant future, but I am also not one for waiting around, lol.
