I’ve been wondering about Toughness in comparison to Vitality for a while on my Necro… Since the new healing skill, Signet of Vampirism, has popped onto my list of favourite skills, I’ve been wondering whether the reduced damage intake from Toughness will affect the amount of health healed when attacked. I’ve been thinking about this for other skills before, not only on Necro and the skills belonging to that Profession; one similar example that pops to mind is increasing the Power in general to see any changes with incoming health siphoning from Minion Attacks… Feel free to share opinions and assumptions on what you think via experience from other Professions!
Anyone know statistics/facts/upcoming changes to anything relating to these? Feel free to discuss it and relate it to other classes to help the readers (including me ;D) paint a better picture overall! Thanks ;D

That’s actually a pretty neat idea… What if we had an 11th skill slot where could only put racial skills in it?
Not enough room on my Keyboard for that hahah xD (I use the Numbered keys ;D)

Best looking “legendary”? The one that never gets made…
+ 1
Wait… wait….
I want a nonelite racial skill. Bomb Golem, from COE. Or, a new elite, swarm of bomb golems.
That would be amazing for ANet to add! It’d pretty much re-define Races and encourage people to play specific Races with more meaning besides from physical appearances in-game, voice overs, few unused Racial Skills and an easily forgettable Storyline… Having a Build to relate to the Race would engage many more people to each individual race and encourage those people to think more deeply about the co-operation side of the races in terms of PvP and helping others through the Build’s benefits, as well as adding more diversity to each Build, not only on each class, but with each Race. This’d be a change because, compared to Races in big PvP/WvW (etc) Groups, all the Races do is enable the Team to identify a Charr/Norn from an Asuran/Human/Sylvari usually because of height/Voice recognition, so why not add more diversity amongst all the Charr/Human/Norn/Sylvari/Asuran Race Players with an extra Choice of Specific Builds to add a better individuality amongst the Players in each Race?… Why haven’t ANet already added this? XD
Well those are my thoughts, I understand it may be a big step from all the Advertising GW2 have proposed, and it may cause a change in the Guides and Introductions to new Members, but this should make the Game less-repetitive and boring to be in Dungeon Groups and look at an Asuran and think: “Ugh, another midget I’ll probably tread on…”, but instead propose that idea of what to expect and not to stereotype Asurans for being Midgets, hence the diversity this would introduce C:
a special racial class would be neat but all the races should have one.
Like a shaman for norn (with a choice of bear, wolf, raven, or snow leopard), golemancer for asura, legionnaire for charr, warden for sylvari, and hmm… humans dont really have an npc class that represents them like that. Well i’m sure anet could come up with something for humans.
For Human I’d say a special summoning skill which let’s you summon mini Gods in Spirit Form who do special damage to enemies via what they’re known for (Balthasar-Fire, Dwayna-Water, etc) at the cost of something, like maybe immobilisation on the main character… That’s what I’m thinking considering the main character will be OP without the immobilisation or something.
Second idea is to have Elementalist-Type Summoned Weapons for each God, so a huge fiery Axe for Balthasar, etc.

I always got “bullied” in the battlefield, so I took a Boon Build-best bloody decision I took in Guild Wars 2 if I’m honest… Literally makes me a Guardian in terms of Tanking damage and creating distractions from those who purposely target Engis to reduce the Damage Intake, that’s also why I took on survivability (Vitality) and Outgoing Damage (Power for the Ranged Bursting). The only class you’d usually need to worry about is a DD Ele from all the Bursting & Up Close Condis as the Condi Removal won’t be top-notch unless you downgrade your Damage Output, making you a sponge for Damage Intake.
Sounds epic! My idea is for ANet to bring out a special Trait System for those Racial Skill Builds ;3
Wow, after seeing so much positive talk about Golemancers meeting Asuran Players, I thought a Racial Build would be awesome, especially for Asurans… Anyone else agree? Feel free to leave opinions ;D
FYI, not trying to make this a recommendation for Asurans only; more for different Races with their specific abilities-just thought a Special Trait System would be awesome for each Race-I don’t know about you guys, but I’d pay Gold for one ;3
Playing Yoda is awesome ;3
Especially with a team of Yoda Midgets C’:
aoe circles hitting you and instakilling you even after you dodge out
sometimes the boss puts down too many aoe around you even if you would have like 5 dodge you would still end up inside an aoe with no room to evade ( instakill )
Bosses with slow animation so that you could dodge it but it also roots you so you cant dodge ( instakill )
Trash mobs wiping pugs sometimes (lol)etcetcetc….
other dungeons are actualy fun but this is lame. There are very few 1 shot mobs I can think of and I run full zerk ele.
The lupi projectile aoe can be avoided in a lot of ways, you don’t even have to dodge everything.
About this slow instakill animation that roots you, i think you’re referring to the crusher and hunter boss. If this is a problem for you, why not take a condi/immobile remover? or a block/invul utility?
This just seems like you don’t really know the dungeon very well. Youtube videos of runs can help a lot.
I never had a problem with Lupi if I’m honest-it was mainly the parts after that….
That is amazing… I thought it got speeded up but no, hahah :P
Should be an Achievement for that ^^

probably the best dungeon guides out there. if you are scared of arah pugs https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Arah-Vets-grouping-together-to-do-Arah-Runs although it does require some initiative on your part to set up runs.
also arah is the best dungeon in GW2, lol
Thank you!
It’s the most interesting in my opinion, but definitely the most frustrating from what I’ve experienced-don’t quote me on this, 4/7 of the Groups I joined had… “Nasty” people… I’ll try and cover a wider variety from now on & join ones already attempted
As in doing things which are bannable (apparently?), Haviz. :/
No glitching is bannable, I’m afraid. If anyone told you otherwise he was either trolling you or simply lying.
Ah, ok :L
Well, thank you for your help & such, I’ll probably just go & attempt to find a “good” group, or just buy my way into a path a day or something ^^
Thanks again

As for the ‘Arah sellers’, Young Somalia, if you’d care to look up from your post, I asked that guy, Hybrid, who explained what a seller was to clear it up for me. The situation I was talking about was for joining a Starting Up Group.

Ok enough having a go at me; I’ve actually looked over "IAmLegionAndIAmOne"’s Video’s on YouTube over all Paths more than once, Young Somalia, and I’ve actually hosted one or two before ad ended up being kicked because I asked why they wanted to glitch/skip a huge part on a specific Path after they’d been discussing whether they’d have a ban or not, which as proof I had been watching SignsOfKelani’s Videos covering that… Apologies if I didn’t mention that, I didn’t feel as if I’d get flamed for stating my opinion and asking for help!

Wait… You don’t need to go through that hell!? Uh, I mean Arah*, and what do you mean by ‘path buy’?
Going for Kamohoali’i Kotaki:
3 Clovers (C:)
Gift of Battle (Pfffscht)
Carcharias (yey!)
A few T-6 Materials :/)
46% Map Completion(:I)
Hoping to get done by Christmas!!!
Since I’m a lot more fond of Kamohoali’i Kotaki than any other Legendary at the moment, I’m curious about whether it has effects on Land, like, for example:
•Necromancer Spirit Shark Projectiles from Death Shroud (?)
•Auras (?), possibly footfalls (?)
Etc; you may think these are recommendations, and they kind of are, especially as I play Necromancer at the moment and it’d make sense to add the Spirit Shark to the Life Blast skill on land, as well as other specific projectile changes for the other Professions! I would mention other aspects relating to the other professions, but I don’t know them off by heart well enough in order to say things like “This needs to be added!” & “We need Projectile Changes for Skill 1 Bow Attacks for Warrior!”, etc. ;3
Feel free to give your opinion of what you think by all means!!! ;D
I’m curious about something similar to what dbgamer was interested in finding out:
Does Soulbinding a Precurser affect the outcome of a Legendary? I know Transmuting a Precurser can, but I’m not sure about Soulbinding one. (Sorry if you feel I’m taking over this Post a little)
O’right, so how do you glitch the Aura to be on land? ;3
Mesmer’s worse!? Wow, bigger problem than I thought I guess-didn’t realise sharks appeared every time for a Necro, thank you very much for your response, you’ve actually stopped me from converting back to Mesmer in thinking it’d be better xD
I’m aiming to go for the Legendary Spear, Kamohoali’i Kotaki (holy crap that took 5 minutes to spell ._."), starting from the First of October for my Necromancer… Until I looked it up in more detail and was horrified by its glitches:
-Reports of Aura bugs
-‘Spirit Sharks’ not functioning properly
-Small and quick-clearing blood trail complaints
-Glitches when switching weapons whilst underwater (?)
I’m starting to be convinced about it being made more for Warrior and Thief due to a more Functioning Experience I guess… I just really don’t know to be honest, anyone know if there’re going to be patches, or if anyone knows more specifically what’s happening with the Legendary Spear for Specific Classes in general??? I’d much appreciate it
A Pinky-Red Base on the Armour, then a Dark Secondary Colouring to suit the Hair then a lightish Blue Dye to suit the Wings… That can be adjusted to your preferences in your order if you’d like, though I would presume it’d look better on Sylvari Cultural Armour than the Exotic Level 80 Light Armours as the Red, as suited as it should be to your Sylvari’s skin colour, would blend in better ;D
The fact that ANet made Sylvari Cultural Armour to look like their skin, perfectly made for the Skin itself and even display patches of the Sylvari Body, regardless of Gender (Male or Female), I agree that it looks strange with having a Glowing Face and Glowing Sylvari Arms/Legs/Other Body Parts yet no Glowing, Plant-Like Armour to suit? Strange. I’m sure it’d please many if they put an update in, preferably for all 3 Tiers as they are ALL made specifically for the Sylvari.
A Sylvari’s Bark is worse than his Bite. Just thought of that ;3
Idk about you guys, but I found levelling up with a Confusion Build was EXTREMELY effective… Aslong as you have clones/phantasms out (depends on if you wanna sit back and let them kill themselves with the Clones or sit back and watch them get slaughtered with several Confusion stacks and Phantasms serving them generous amounts of damage… Works either way ;D)
I agree, also whenever I lay down Smoke AoE , the Combo Finisher effect of Stealth only activates at the end… It makes it all that more obvious for enemies in PvP and WvW to see you-had they changed it, it’d make a lot more sense as the blast happens as you activate the ability, not when you roll at the end-this could even save for the glitches evasions being reported… I’d be more than happy to see this happen
I think some armours change it with the Boots, like on Engi I think there’s the main suggested armour which sort of extends it… Either Engi’s armour or light armour…
Some low level armours make the feet look small though-yeah.
