Eh we all run down once all the lasers start firing. Beat on it a bit, then get out. Takes like 20 attempts.
Don’t need no mo badges.
I’d say let crafters craft unique skins. Or specialize in a certain style. If stats are static, next would be appearance.
Course, depending on how well worked all of the styles are, there’d still end up being that one set that everyone likes and then everyone will go for, and in the end we’ll be back where we started.
Rare randomly created recipes would be something one player has that another doesn’t, and as long as the mats cost no different from others of the same tier a demand for that appearance would outweigh the supply. Having to gamble for it only once is more palpable than having to do it each time when crafting.
And since this game has no item inflation like WoW has, with each tier essentially trivializing the previous one, fights can rely more on mechanics than numbers.
They did fix TA blossoms, so this isn’t not doable.
If you walk inside of him, you can avoid his line of spikes without dodging. The hitbox for that move starts not from the middle of his hitbox, but from a small distance away.
Yea I kinda see that. Path 3 is where he does the wave instead of the nova, so point blank should be safer for that wave. But this goes back to the problem of extra circles. Once all of them are spammed I gotta get out one way or another.
We should not need “tricks” to “skip” things to make runs faster. Make it reasonable to run the place while killing everything along the way.
The red circles are suggestions, just like the grenadiers in (SE?). If you’ve played it enough you know when to dodge and which way to dodge.
Well yea, but it’s not fun when learning has to come from dying and not picking it up mid fight.
It’s actually great for just running away cause you don’t need to change facing to know where you’re going.
The plan is either kill the acolytes fast enough that he doesn’t gain enough health to trigger the critter again, which I have never seen done, or you stun him just before he pulls it off and damage him past that point, in which the trigger is never hit and the fight continues.
One way walls like guardian stuff. Stuff goes out but doesn’t come in.
I don’t like the last room for Path 2. Too much geometry to run into when trying to get away from anything. And my blink hates inclines. Boss fights need to always be in bigger rooms.
Well combat here I assume is suppose to mirror Moba combat, which is key usage of a few skills at proper intervals to maximize effectiveness.
I’d like to run through a dungeon and not leave with just blue items from chests and that one random costume potion they constantly give you.
Yes, but I can normally otherwise walk out of the circles if I only have one circle to worry about. I don’t even have to move for the earth donuts. Which is important because he does the earth wave right after and need to save the dodge for that. But if I have to chain dodge multiple circles because I just so happen to have clones out it means I’m constantly eating earth waves.
Seriously.
No problem to dodge if you’re not built for banners/summons/pets/clones.
But the moment you have one? Circles everywhere.
Fights should not favor builds. Or professions in general.
Annnnnd was fixed by someone killing that last breeder in the boss area. Try that next time.
Nope, just had Hodgins fight the boss and still bugged at the end. He was hitting the boss but died mid fight. I rez’d him and now I’m shot 60 tokens.
A closer waypoint is still nicer because makes for faster wipe recovery.
When I did this boss I was usually the last one alive, which sucks for me because when he just focuses one player that person has a worse time than everyone else
at surviving.
And sucks for me cause the group couldn’t get past that fight.
Hard fights are great until you need everyone else to be able to pull it off, then it’s just frustrating.
Still a problem. Still needs to be fixed.
If i’m not in a red circle, kitten better not be hitting me, or else make those circles better fit where you get hit.
You cannot expect people to hit this consistently without being frustrated. Either display an exact value so people can tell when to interrupt, or give him a cast time.
Also can consider stones “free” when you get em through dailies.
If you choose to do it the hard and uncertain way (trying to forge one yourself) instead of the easy and direct way (selling the 200-300g worth of exotic weapons you went through and buying it off the TP), then it makes sense that you might have bad luck. But even if they made a “direct” way to get a precursor, it’d still be something that takes hundreds of hours to do, and then people will be saying “this takes hundreds of hours to farm, it’s not fair”. In fact, people are already saying that about charged lodestones, even though it’s certainly possible to farm them at a slow but steady rate (it just takes a long time).
The people who are selling precursors aren’t only “people who lucked out”. They’re also people who’ve thrown thousands of exotics or tens of thousands of rares into the MF.
Also if it dropped from a unique boss, that’d be even worse – “boss doesn’t spawn often enough”, “always overcamped so I can’t see/do anything”, “it never drops because it’s super rare”, “i don’t want to buy it off the TP from someone who lucked it”, “i fight the boss once every 3 hours but if it only drops it 1% of the time then I have to spend months getting bad drops from this boss in the hopes that I might get the precursor I want”
A direct farm is a less arguable position than one of a pure gamble. If I can see gains towards a goal I’m more willing to push for it than having to roll a 1 million sided die for 1 number a million times. Especially the work required to get to 1 roll.
Also don’t forget there was the exploit using low level rares to gamble for precursors early on. Most of that supply is still in the market.
Yea, world bosses lead to the overcamping, and as is all precursors should drop from a dungeon chest like any other chest in the game, so it’s still a chance from a boss either way.
Man there’s a ton of bad ideas for the game here just to improve crafting.
Any type of “chance to crit” turns into “chance to fail” since you’re just going to want the better item and forgo the non critical one.
Forcing scarcity through randomness ruins the game.
It’s what makes KMMO crafting not fun.
Interrupt at 50%
When is 50%?
The freaking bar uses that crazy blur for health.
And if you’re just a little bit too early you’re stuck with defiant which means fight completely resets. Because unless you have a couple hundred players as dinky little animals biting at those acolytes he’ll completely heal before or right as you finish the last one.
There is no reasonable window to pull this instance off regularly. In the end you gotta just get lucky or something.
Fix it.
After burst stun pistol and get a shatter 1 + confusion to prevent actions.
Cool thanks Osicat and Easymodex! I had a question about the above quote. When you say do shatter 1+ confusion are you saying do shatter 1 and shatter 2 to get confusion from illusionary persona or create another clone and then use shatter 2 or am I missing it all together?
Probably with just the Illusionary persona. You would want to save your clone generation for another wreak or distortion if need be.
Is this seriously working as intended?
These mobs need to be regular if they’re going to spawn at this rate.
If you can’t kill a single group fast enough they just start adding up fast. And no way to recover from that because of the insane HP dungeon mobs have.
Fix this.
Badges of Honor should also be earned through taking stuff too...

EH wish there was some sort of consistency when getting badges. You sometimes get them from defeating a player, sometimes not. You mosty get them from killing lords and camp guardians, sometimes not though. Only guarantee is the jumping puzzle
10 players huh?
We out number you, we are bullies. You out number us and its skill. Got it. Tnx.
Yup, all point of view.
AsteriskCGY, you should understand that no one who cares about actual wvw gives 2 kittens about the status of jumping puzzles.
Yea I know.
Its still a statement. And I’m still going to say it.
And we’ll all have to deal with it.
GW2 has a dodge. The direction you dodge is critical in your survival. GW2 does not have 8 way run, so the fastest you move is moving forward. GW2 has bosses that have animations to watch out for but no other indicators to telegraph their moves. So it’s pretty imperitive to have a high control of your camera. But this is ruined with how easily it is to deselect your target when it is required to perform nearly all actions in this game while moving your camera.
Also that jump dodge roll trick too. Increases the range of normal jumps and lets you jump the regular distance even when crippled.
Seriously, you need to transfer servers as SF is clearly not providing what you need. We have never had an off hour population, ever, so if you need that, then I strongly recommend find a server that does.
Puzzles get camped, it happens, we do it to.
There is no double team, it just works out that way some times.
People alt-f4, they still lost the fight so they can enjoy loading two zones to get back. Until it is fixed, there will always be someone that feels a need to exploit, why worry about it.
Did I address all of your recent posts? Can you dry the tears up and just enjoy the game, transfer to where you can enjoy the game, or at the very least sit in a corner and cry quietly to yourself?
Yea, friends are still on this world, course they’ve been awol for the last few weeks to Borderlands 2. Highest one of them has is a 57.
And in all honesty I’m gone once I get the Gift of Battle. And then back whenever monthlies turn over.
And I’m a bit lazy to have to find one that works, then having to readjust.
And I’m voicing an opinion, so no keeping this to myself.
I always just consider the weapon you’re using. If it causes condition, build for condition damage. If it’s just white numbers, build for crit damage. Only two weapons that specifically apply a condition of some sort is the staff 1 and scepter 3.
And now NSP sitting at jumping puzzle too? Just sitting there, killing everyone. At 3:40 in the morning.
Does anyone here freaking sleep? Is there a single time of day I can get ANYTHING done?
Or just screw it, transfer servers, and then whine on your map channel all day?
Yes and at the same time EB seems to have enough people to just sit and watch towers all night.
Crappy players or no, that presense is way too much for whatever SF can do about it.
Still unfair.
Wah.
Take out seiges. I’m fine with folks being in there, using the traps. But building an entire fort is way out of line.
The ganging up on SF can easily be attributed to the fact once we’re outmanned our positions are the paths of least resistance. Why waste time taking EB stuff when SF drops in half the time.
Also alt-f4ing may be more detrimental for the attacking team, but sure sucks when you’re trying to collect badges.
For you. I can jump between each one of ours just fine. That’s the population imbalance we have right now.
And garrison was taken down with a group of golems while we were defending Dreaming. And then we lost Dreaming. Cause we don’t have enough bodies to watch supply camps AND the gate at the same time. While everyone else seems to be able to be everywhere at once.
Soooo completely unfair fight after peak hours.
And great, is it gang up on SF week again?
Seriously. Pick on someone else.
Am I only on when we’re losing everything to EB and their stupidly fat wallets?

I show up for like an hour or so at a time, somewhere between 2-5 am PST. Never get any good fights. And now people are camping jumping puzzles.
Need better ways to get freaking badges.

Well going to suck having to recap everything from eb every day.
Eh I like the stuff you’re running on not have so many random protrusions that stop your movement or push you off the edge. Narrow platforms are fine but make it clear where I should land on.
Hey, with the new month we’ll probably get a flood of folks trying for the monthly achievements. That should make for easy pickings.
I like it when I suddenly appear up cliffs.
There is a rez sickness in game that lowers your respawn health each time you rally, but it has to trigger like 3 times in a row to kill you outright.
Course, then that defeats their purpose of having bank slots be a gem buy, the more junk you need to carry the more you’re pressured into expanding it.
Along with all the cores, boosters, globs….
