Sure it’s nice that he can imprison clones and pets, but the extra circles he casts especially in those small final rooms just end up being a headache, especially when you end up rolling into some sort of protrusion and don’t get out in time.
That or just make those last rooms bigger. Man I hate fighting in such small areas.
I wish they did what Riot does and give you bonus gems if you spend more money. Man I keep giving Riot money even when I don’t play their game that competitively.
Maybe have every count of 5 mobs turn that into a vet spawn instead.
Well now you guys have the lead, so it’s another week of the other two servers of just not doing anything cause of no lead period.
Kinda hard when they have 24/7 coverage.
Cause they seems a bit too low for what they can do.
Well I have a half melee Mesmer and I must say being in melee is annoying. I end up leaving because there’s some sort of PBAoE, or the boss just runs, or some other ground target thing. Don’t spend a lot of time hitting the boss.
So far the only real place I’d use my not MF gear is in WvW, cause as far as I can tell badges better not be MF related. And also can’t loot when dead.
Dungeons haven’t been an issue. Avoiding red circles seem to be the biggest factor in winning or losing a fight.
I’ve been wondering if getting the GS trait was worth it. Until now whenever I would roll GS sword/pistol was 10/20/0/20/20 build. This ends up with a lot of weapon swapping to get out the right phantasms and when going in and out of range.
Course now I need to see about how to handle WvW.
Yea just got 2 on me now. But door wasn’t opening.
Been sitting on the two halves of a jumping puzzle key for a few days, might be for a different borderland. Do I need to get new keys or is this still busted for everyone?
That or spam AoE. Did a run with two ele’s and me with a focus mesmser makes better work on those things.
I ran CoE enough that I can get at least two attacks that get thrown at me, the dragon tooth and doughnut earth strike. That third earth breath thing though I still don’t usually see coming. Course both sub and teleporter don’t have that attack in subsequent fights, so only have to make it through the first time.
But really in general those red circles are both really thin and the places you fight really small. Also counts banners and illusions as valid targets so in those cases more than 5 circles can spawn.
Just tried to get my daily in the one hour leading up to the reset.
Had to hunt around for events to complete but could not find any.
And now have to do that all over again because of the daily reset.
Melee I feel like has a harder time staying in melee for many fights, whether its because of pbaoes or reacting to really fast boss actions, you end up having to run out anyway to recover.
And if it ever gets to affecting real players, then you gotta deal with normal players having to take time out of fighting to mash in the confirmation code.
Well heck when did SF lose a night crew
BTW there’s 5 bots right now in the SF Borderland waters farming krait right now. Feel free to take them out.
Oh yea at the Altar of Lyssa you can’t even shop cause a catapult would knock you away while you’re looking. Those need to disappear while the place is under control.
Took me three tries to realize you could dodge the AC pull, and another two to roll out of the dog’s howl in CM. It’s easy enough to know that you can dodge out of pretty much everything, it’s still another thing to figure out where and when. I need better tells to do that. I need more of those charge animations. Maybe some emotes for off screen stuff.
Wait you can turn off bees?
Well if they dropped some cash and bags it would be a start. Like the most basic loot.
Do tooltips update?
Ridiculous respawn rate in Orr compared to longer phantasm recharge
in Mesmer

That would be a valid answer for any other region, but Orr regions in particular are special. So the crappy player claim is more of a wash.
Only complaining that his abilities target clones and illusions as well as other players. Needs to only target players.
So all they need to do is make completing a dungeon better tokens than the first two bosses done on reset farm. Or essentially put a timer on how often a player can get tokens from a boss in a given period of time.

Eh respawn rates at the high end are fast even for the quickest of classes. That window of opportunity is just that small period.
I’m getting twilight just cause it looks pretty on my back. Don’t really care otherwise.
Random loot is random.
City events are gonna be holiday stuff. Just you wait.
Eh have all the temples sell obsidian shards. That’ll get folks comming.
To me it’s a DPS race. Kite the abom, and dodge the heck out of the boss. Cause the one time I fought it we had folks split off to kill the abom, and that thing just took nearly half the timer to down, which meant we lost the event.
Every other time I’ve been there, it’s already been completed and at most I had to participate in a defense event.
Can we have Alpha’s abilities have a target cap? It should not punish pet/summon users more than anyone else for their abilities. more than ones with just plain attacks. I noticed this with my Mesmer and my illusions, but I assume Necro and Ranger pets, Guardian weapon summons, heck even Warrior banners get targeted.
Also can we get bigger rooms to fight in? It’s claustrophobic.
A boss fight is too long when I get bored fighting it for the first time.
You can probably clock it down to a certain minute, but in general if I feel it’s gone on for too long, it probably has.
Well compare this to the mesmer’s focus skills I find I can run with a pistol and get more out of it. The horn buff is pretty much goto skill because of its universality. And most of time “goto” means an imbalance.
The system works till a certain cap, where the minimum amount needed for contribution becomes harder to reach with others taking it before you. Normally this is suppose to scale to a level where it’d work, but when the requirement per mob is still a fixed value it doesn’t work with mass AoE without damage caps.
What the heck. Why only bother the SF borderlands.
At this rate I need transfer to Ehmry just to get my last map bits.
Cause they so happen to be in the blue keep and in EH that for some reason we don’t own.
Bah.
I only just realized a catapult can hit stuff behind a gate. Worked great to get my monthly.
Putting in the effort’s easy. I’m there, i’m killing folks, I’m moving supplies, etc. What you’re looking for is motivation. And some semblance of success is one of them.
some long wall of text
Did not need to post that.
Anecdotal fallacy.
Does not apply to me.
I’m not the kind to lead things such as this. So I’m only in WvW to help.
I’m willing to escort supplies, take back camps behind the action, whatever. That’s my level of contribution.
But when the only solution to beat the opposition is to have more people or spend more money, then I’m not really there.
I don’t know folks enough to get them organized.
And I don’t feel much of a desire to spend my cash on blueprints when I can’t make back that difference reliably.
So yes I am far less motivated to participate against such odds as compared to you,. But it does not invalidate my position in this argument.
I play for either numbers or friends, and as long as my friends are still playing Borderlands 2, I need to see some numbers go up to justify my time doing anything in this game.

Hahahahaha no.
World pride can only go so far. Not everyone is enamored with how their server looks in the world. People want to get paid for their time.
…
Please tell me you’re joking. This is a game. As with any game if you want to win, you have to put in some effort. Period.

I do understand it’s a game.
What you seem to be missing is that it can be fun to fight and come from behind.
The fact that servers lose by 200,000 points (something happening in my bracket this week) is due to the fact that the players on that server give up when the deficit was 10,000 or 20,000, not 200,000.
That’s not “not having fun”, that’s, “we’re not winning, so I refuse to play.”
It’s not fun to lose. I get that. But it can be not only fun, but immensely gratifying, to fight against the odds and come out on top anyway. The problem is that nobody seems to want to have that sort of fun. The only fun they want is “we win”.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but a lot of people in WvWvW are acting like spoiled children. If they’re not winning, they quit. They quit quickly, and they quit at the first sign that they’re falling behind. They don’t have the character, the intestinal fortitude, the whatever-you-want-to-call it to stick with it through a bad situation and see it through to the end, come what may.
This very same attitude is rampant in those people who jump ship to a new server, a winning server, as soon as they possibly can.
The problem isn’t the game. The problem is a whole lot of the people playing the game. They ONLY want to win, but they don’t want to have to work for it. They just want to waltz into a winning situation and lord it over the losers.
This same attitude is prevalent in those people who want post-level-cap gear progression, so they can feel superior to everyone else based on what they own, rather than the skill they have.
It’s humorous, really: these very same people complain when they’re winning by too much, because everyone else quit and they have no one left to feel superior to. No cannon fodder to feed on. No lesser players to beat up. They’re king of the hill, and there’s no one there to be jealous of them.
There’s a reason why Roman heroes used to have a slave walk behind them, holding a laurel wreath over their head, whispering in their ear, “All glory is fleeting.”
Seems a whole bunch of folks these days want permanent glory, and nothing but.
I think the problem with your logic is that you need to incentivize a lot of individual players to go along for this “coming from behind” gratification to work. There’s only so much an individual in this game can do, and less so if you don’t have the charisma to bring others with you. If these conditions are never met, your solution never will hold up.
This is coupled with how a winning side’s capabilities tend to snowball once built up, and then an unfair advantage is given to that side. When your gate is blocked off by a row of ballistas with a bunch of trebuchets behind it, there’s nothing even a large army can do well at that point. It becomes a fight of attrition to break through a line like that.
The game still has to be fun for the losing team to keep on playing, and as such should be as rewarding and possible for a losing side to win as it is for the winning side to lose.
Mechanics are only as good as how creative they are. Early WoW fights were heavy in the tank and spank model, which in essence is the simplest design you can have for their combat system. And in the subsequent content introductions they added more ways mobs could behave within their model.
Right now I can spend most fights just letting the auto attack run, because as a mesmer enough of my abilities are situational enough that I’m better off saving them than using them. This is a mix of how much health most mobs in dungeons have and how little they do during that time. But if they’re too active you lack the tools to counter them effectively, and the entire experience becomes cheap.
So does everyone use crude kits or the medium ones?
Well whatever the case I’m not having fun on SF. So there.
Well one thing I notice is as ranged I have fewer tells I need to watch for unlike what I have to catch while in melee. Also when you have too many flashy spells going on against one of the smaller mobs, stuff will end up blindsiding you.
And another bit is ranged can still deal damage if they screw up on a dodge while learning a fight, melee is pushed out of ranged and thus not doing anything. Makes for a less fun learning curve.
Same thing here on Sorrow’s Furnace. Standing outside the door, doing jack.
Just finished TA Explore with spiders.
Nightmare tree dies, but spider spawns remain.
Everyone in group dead soon after.
Sure loot is a popup instead of a drop, but when a boss dies, the entire thing should end and I shouldn’t die right after.
The point of utility skills is the fact they’re not tied to a weapon, but more what you planned your character around. It’s to say you should build your weapon choices around your Utility skills, not the other way around.
