If there is ever going to be a quest in Guild Wars 2, make them story-based. Don’t ever go “You gotta build this key, which centaurs drop a fragment but it’s only a 50% chance”, because it’s worthless grind.
Instead, a series of hard dungeons, cutscenes, bosses, and perhaps open-world triggers (C: happy on this one).
So basically, let’s say to craft Dusk there’s this underground ancient monster, that if you complete this dungeon and go to a specific location of the open-world map, it triggers an open world event and have to fight against a giant ancient monster. It would be really cool. If the event fails, the ancient monster would capture certain NPC’s (merchants, repair NPC’s, etc etc) from some towns so you have to save them again.
Also, make it a bit like Personal Story (branching quests). To trigger this certain quest for the certain item, you have to defeat certain open world bosses (one for each Legendary item, because it’s legendary).
Just my 2 cents.
Swap on the go, and it doesn’t take over your inventory. Like if I have one armor set that focuses more on vitality, when the other is more on power, ect.
What do you think?
I’m not sure I get your suggestion. Do you want to be able to swap the stats on items, like from Berserker to Soldier? Or do you want templates, were you save your current build? Or is it something totally different?
Something like template slots, where you can customize your gear, then you press a button and it swaps to it. Like weapon swapping as it is now or the weapon swap in GW1.

EDIT: Actually not skill swaps, just armor overall.

In PvE, it would be a bit more familiar, yes, and more structured, but parties will kick people that they aren’t looking for. Currently in GW2, party requirements usually require experience, level, and how good you are as a player (good survivor, good DPS, good offense or good defense and good buffs/conditions, ect ect), which makes the whole system less structural but more flexible.
If there was a trinity, I would get kicked 60% in parties because I’m not a healer or tank, and then people would be complaining on forum posts “PLS REMOVE TRINITY”. The trinity is more of a simplified version of a team, where in GW2 it’s a bit more complicated, like who’s the one giving conditions, majority of damage, buffing allies, ect ect so people have several responsibilities for the team than just one most of the time, which is DPS, tank, or healer.
In WvW, if you don’t have your two other teammates, you’re screwed (which would make lone PVPers insignificant). Healers would spam an AOE heal (if there was one) that would make the whole stacking group invincible, and it would be a skill spam zerg fest.
And certainly, it wouldn’t be as popular and as hyped as it would have if it didn’t.
Hm, well for those people who don’t like stacking, they don’t have much of a choice because if they don’t stack they’ll die (hard mobs).
So, they either go to a different party or accept their inevitable fate of stacking. The people who don’t like stacking is because it’s boring, and doesn’t bring out the full potential of GW2 combat. However, it’s the most efficient way of killing.
A 5-man party who stacks can kill a 5-man party that dodges, moves around, and uses the GW2 tactical approaches, I’m pretty sure.
Just my 2 cents.
This was quite a whole ago (a week ago), but I decided to go to my home instance, when I came upon two Josirs.
It’s either:
1. Aliens
2. Ascended humans with ultra super powers that we have to fight
3. Zhaitan revives
4. The world is hollow
5. We get capes
I try and play as much as possible, I just can’t stop. The only time I feel burned out is when I feel alone, which isn’t as common as I expected it to be :o
I like putting out as many skills as possible so I can wipe them out, although sometimes I continuously use a skill to make sure I have something to use when I’m at the edge.
That would really make things awesome
Is it just that you like Asian accents?
Capes!? :O
Can’t wait!!!
So I was traveling around Fort Salma, only finding that centaurs are using catapults to destroy the buildings.
I decided to go to the destroyed area, and I see all the NPC’s just standing around, seeing their buildings destroyed. Although everyone seems immune to the catapult explosions and other kinds of damage, it’s real game breaking.
The game is pretty different, it’s not the linear questing from most MMO’s. You have to explore and see what’s happening in the world, with the addition of your Personal Story.
Do you remember when the game is started and the areas had a lot of player? I want it back!

Yes. Please. That would be a really good idea. Wonder why I haven’t heard a word from A-Net talking about this.
Sent a ticket, hope it gets resolved :u
Where’s the TP? And what chest should I get for guardian professions?
Linked to to my trial account, and I got a chest from the mail for my legacy armor.
So I opened it up, and it gave me 3 choices: (something) Chest, Kryton Chest, and Profane Chest.
The Kryton Chest was cyan, so I think it looks pretty cool. Ready to equip it with my guardian, but it was apparently armor not suited for my profession…
There wasn’t any indication for what chest is and what isn’t. I feel cheated.
Is there anyway to get the legacy armor back for my guardian character? :/
EDIT: I spelled Heroic wrong, darnit.
