Shout out to TC for the fights in Bay last night. I personally had a blast. After taking a few weeks off it was great to just run around and get a few good fights going.

CERN was running defense on Bay in SoRbl, and rest assured we always want to fight the largest numbers we can handle; usually 1-2 times our numbers, depending on co-ordination of our opponents.

All I have to say is: holy kitten you folks have a ton of necros in your zergs. Wells EVERYWHERE. Mistforming through them all ahead of the zerg is fun, though. watching all those ’Invulnerable’s pop up on your screen must be frustrating as I pop them all to no effect.

I’ve learned that Cleric ele is amazing in z v z fights, potentially superior to PVT in survivability. Those water fields and regens become a little OP at 1800 healing power.

Did CERN just pull out some insane overtime into Oceanic and early SEA? It was insane how you guys steamrolled everyone with your 70man zerg.

Great props to TC. You guys are truly fantastic at bunkering down. Everytime you guys capped something, you guys would always ensure there would be at least 10 ACs and ballistas to prevent the opposition from recapping it even when you guys had huge blobs. It was really difficult for us. TC truly has many people committed to stay in towers and keeps.

It’s only almost 5pm PST. It’s been known for months that SoR is filled with NA East guilds which helps with the EU-Early NA trade off..

After all these months it’s now due to the Eastern Time zone guilds, haha.

I’m not sure why you find that “funny”. If you do, I think you haven’t had enough fun yet. Also, nobody said all credit should be given to their EST guilds. It is a fact that SoR tends to have more presence during early NA, but that tends to stabilize as the BG/JQ PST guilds zone into the maps. I’ll leave it up to you to analyze the past 2 hours.

So none of these guilds can fill that gap? I guess BG’s next round of recruitment will focus on that time slot eh?

From my count as an Oceanic/SEA commander you really know nothing about BG and our coverage do you? lol.

For one Lotd is an NA guild, same with JL and Urge, HB, Nine Dragon, NBB have been inactive for quite some time and XF hasn’t even transferred yet and are SEA.

And as to the “Numbers” arguement, SoR – Ocx, HiRE, SAHP, NYS, AFS – All capable of fielding numbers 20+ let alone the new additions of XPK, SYN so on. Disregarding the Tysm, TW, Choo et al awake during Oceanic/Early SEA.

OC: MERC 20-30 (take scouts from this number), Meow (5-15), NOC (5-10 on reset + 1 or 2 other days)

SEA: MERC 20-30 (take scouts), Never Die (10-15/20), WM (5-12), CA (5-12), Thai (10-20 in late SEA)

EU: RK 10-15, HB 5-10 (maybe?) MERC (uplate 1am-4am GMT+8) (1-5/10) (Batman<3 Ralikh)

As to NA can’t say much but to my knowledge BT is our only 100% EST guild, ICoa usually has commanders log early to cover.

Yes we have our dedicated militia following us around, but these are the numbers the guilds field.

There is a reason why when that 2v1 occured the other night inside SoR’s garrison they were still able to field 2 map zergs to defend both Overlook and SoR garrison. SoR is by no means outnumbered in SEA at all, anyone telling yourself that is not the sharpest tool in the shed, BG and JQ are just more aggressive. <3 Waha. BG fills whatever map MERC float is on and occasionally EB too during SEA.

@Offski, don’t give us that mate, you act like you don’t see the amounts of acs on every choke inside SoR’s T3 objectives, don’t act like BG/JQ doesn’t push inside only to be greeted by 20 ACs. Current meta does suck donkey, but don’t try and say BG spams ACs our current problem as a server is that we don’t put enough down like SoR does. (During Oceanic/SEA at least).

I don’t think MERC only fields 20-30. We see a SEA of MERC every night. You guys definitely field 30-40. Although WM has indeed lost a few numbers, don’t they field that little. They field around 15-25. Both ND combined can field around 30 as well. On top of that, Thai usually fields about 20-30.

AFS – 10-20.
NYS – 20-30
SAHP – 15-25. They actually field really little, but have loads of militia following them.
HIRE – 20-30
OCX – 10-20
Yes, they are all CAPABLE of fielding 20, but they only occasionally field those numbers.
Btw.. SYN barely fields even 2 nowadays. XPK fields around 10.

Beyond the chest thumping of a few Rallians, who are probably just more excited about winning than anything else- so you’ll have to excuse them, this has turned out to be a fantastic match. I have to thank JQ and BG for coming out there and really putting the pressure on.

The thing is, we are looking for a challenge. The guilds that currently play on the server together play for not just good fights, but amazing fights and being #1 means nothing to us. And we did not get those last week. Last week on SoR, our NA guilds logged early, our asian guilds did pve, and our oceanics sang in ts. Whether by your choice or not, I will make sure that SoR is tested either through a welcomed 2v1 or by recruiting guilds to your servers as I am currently doing.

Fact of the matter is, SoR is by nature a lean server, we shed a lot of fat in T2 when we logged into literally 0ppt for 11 weeks straight. Not all individuals have the resolute or the courage to face adversity like that and still keep fighting. That was our test then and it made us stronger, the fickle players left our server, the hardcore remained. Since becoming #1, we have gotten some fat from unannounced transfers, we once again need to be tested to shed the fat, quite frankly we hope you continue to 2v1 us into an oblivion. Those without spirit or resolution will be chased away. Those that remain shall be battle hardened further.

The Sanctum is the citadel in the skies where WvW legends reside. This is the place of true warriors who fight regardless of score or situation. There is a reason why SoR has the highest percentage of WvWers of any server and that isn’t by accident. We are the smallest server in the top 5, but most of the players on it are there for WvW but more importantly, they are there as brothers and sisters at arms.

The community on SoR is very fun, very mature, very organized and very close knit. In my 12 years of gaming, I have never found so many selfless, proud and strong players. It really is something special, with that being said, I salute our enemies and hope you guys will continue to bring the fight to us everyday.

Well it is probably because RISE transfered up to bg, and instantly started kitten talking the guilds on both JQ and SoR. Many of those trash talkers are gone, but like a certain other bg guild, it was enough to tarnish their rep. That rep will stay tarnished for a while, but in time people will look at RISE like an actual guild. But until then, RISE is viewed as a trolly bandwagened guild that feeds bags.

RISE trash talk was just that. They were just trying to become a part of the community and probably jumped the gun because its a different community they have been in. No big deal. No “tarnished reputations”. Their conduct then is still better than what I see from some guilds that have been in Tier 1 for a long time.

The unfortunate thing was, RISE trash talked even when they couldn’t back it up. That’s why they got slammed.

We’re on a roll. Kudos to everyone in SoR who fought non-stop to the very end. Wonderful job as well JQ You guys have been fighting really hard. Absolutely commendable.

I feel many people are questioning BG’s willingness to fight right now because they’re severely underperforming. Previously, BG showed how powerful they were with the number of guilds they absorbed. Now, somehow, the 5-6 prominent guilds they have absorbed just disappeared. BG reminds me greatly of Dragonbrand now.

It’s a shame really, BG/JQ are NA servers with NA guilds but yet they force us to PvDoor. Sounds like a server with a lot of heart!

I find it hilarious that people willingly choose to fight doors/guards and then turn around and complain about fighting doors. Or how 120man EU guilds move to NA brackets that have very little dedicated EU playerbase then complain about not getting good fights.

Pretty fed up with the Wahgate whining. Over the past 3-4 weeks, you’ve hoovered up 4-5 (six?) new guilds, and after a single loss you’re bottom feeding for more from other servers. SoR has recruited exactly one guild in the same time span. Oh but I forget, it’s IRON with their 2,750 members.

I may not like JQ but I respect them. Blackgate? For the most part, I now respect my toenail clippings more.

I have alot of resepct for SOR but you all had never come in first till IRON came so its stupid to pretend it had nothing to do with your win. That being said there is nothing wrong with that, we all get transfers so lets just accept it and move on.

Most people on SoR have said that IRON did make an impact in our win/wins.

Indeed. What the aforementioned group does (/respect) is prevent Waha’s massive forces from ticking 550++ PPT for hours on end which they used to do quite frequently at that timeslot.

This is straight up boring. I miss when first and second were only 10k away from each other going into a Tuesday. At least there was some excitement going into the final stretch of the week.

Maybe if BG was actually showing up it would be more interesting. Just throwing it out there. JQ has been around, they are fighting harder than I have seen them fight for a while now! People here are right, you should take a page from SoR, and play no matter what. Then again, this is what happens when you build a server around being in that green spot, can’t say I’m surprised.

As a officer you should know better then this and have a understanding of movement and troop deployment. If you are a PvE officer then i understand why you would lack this very basic knowledge pertaining to deployment’s in a zone’s and how fights flow.

I don’t think any of our servers in this tier would be here without a decent and organized community behind them. We are not so different. as it stands the shuffle and weekends are some of the most fun Ive ever had and is reason enough to play this game.

^This, although it is kinda disappointing that only a minority holds this opinion and the majority of the players I’ve talked to in all servers have the opinion that they have the “best community”. How would you know that you have the “best” community unless you’ve actually spent an appreciable time there – and no, quoting a 14 minute rant about how you are the best instead of making a valid point does not improve the view of the community outside the server (Cough Indo’s rant).

I have people I respect in all of the top tier servers, but the guys who post on the forums are a minority of those who (1.) read the forums and (2.) willing to post on them, so a minority of a minority. The views of a few trolls from prominent guilds, be they commanders or militia mean little because its a just a forum for a game where my pixels will hit your pixels in the attempt to get a collection of pixels (i.e. don’t get too invested in a game).

I would say that all servers have their strong base in regards to their community (KnT, SF, GSCH), and are pretty resilient in regards to their populations. SoR’s success comes from having a strong base to work from (the T3 carried from EU), the guilds in NA who have the most numbers on-field and also a Oceanic presence that is equivalent to BG (even at its prime). This came from the night-owl NA staying up, and before it is said that Choo/TW/GSCH does not do that – even 10-15 players from that timezone can balance things in SoR’s favor to the point where we are out-manned (with the buff) in the middle of our prime-time on all maps albeit EB last night when I was commanding (during late NA to late SEA).

Oh and yeah, quit with the “BG paying for guilds hurr hurr” we didn’t chose SoR due to the trolls who create a bad view of the community, and the guys who couldn’t pay for their transfers (~10% of the guys in the guild) had their transfers paid for by the BG community. “Offering gold to pay for transfers” goes only to those who could not afford it themselves, that by definition is not “buying guilds”.

tldr: All three servers belong in T1, have great communities and the constant spamming of “BG buying guilds” is pure and utter crap.

Far as I’m concerned EU wise BG and SoR have the same coverage. It’s just that SoR’s EU seems more organized. I’ll give you that JQ has the strongest SEA of the 3 but we need a connector. BG currently has the best oceanic and 2nd best SEA.

JQ has best SEA > no connector either side oceanic or EU
BG has best OCEANIC > 2nd best SEA > equal EU to SoR
SoR has Equal EU to BG > best NA

Oddly, from the coverage it seems that BG honestly has the best overall coverage of the 3 servers and the best connector ( oceanic > sea > EU), they’ve just stopped showing up for whatever reasons. Rumor mill has it they are talking to a bunch of guilds and are showing weakness like they did before they got their KN guilds.

To be honest, SoR’s SEA has been better than BGs SEA recently. SoR’s Oceanic have been doing a fantastic job as well.

In hindsight SoR should have recruited Oceanic/SEA guilds so they could remain competitive during those timezones instead of throwing the scoring out of whack by recruiting EU.

If I’m not wrong everyone in T1 tried to recruit IRON. However, IRON decided to choose SoR instead of BG and JQ.

u know im pretty level headed and want the best for all three servers but wuts get me about u magic is the fact it was ok for ur server to tic for 300-500 during sea and oceanic against sor and we had to flip everything from t3 to t1 and loose everything during the night.. but now that’s its ur turn to dig deep as a server u call it unfair and complain about off hour coverage

for thos on bg and jq who fight hard everyday and show up this isn’t against u but to the fair weather ppl its time to dig deep and rally around ur commanders instead of tossing ur hands up and saying o we don’t have the numbers I quit

sor has done this for months we didn’t have the greatest coverage yet everyday we logged in and fought we rallied around r na and r off hour coverage we did have
