Everyone who has set foot on Southsun Cove knows what Kraka Hatchlings are. They hatch from Karka eggs if you can’t destroy them in time and will cling on your body (face, legs and back) if they can reach you and cause some debuff…

Now, when I first saw this happen, my initial though was: “OMG that’s so hillarious! There should be Karka Hatchling backpacks and headgear xD”

Again, Southsun Cove will be in the spotlight and I though I should go ahead and at least suggest the idea. Afterall the models are given and just need to be made into equipment. Of course there could be alternatives too:

-Karka hatchling tonic – If you drink this tonic, you get the hatchling trio clinging on you for several minutes

-Karka pheromones – Idk about the name but it could work in a similar fashion as the Harpy Pheromones karma item; you can throw it at other players who’d get the karka hatchlings all over them (and could cancel this visual effect anytime). Spreading the love!

-Karka hatchling backpack and headgear – if you want to look hillarious permanently… (Not sure how immersion breaking they might be on the head, but at least the backpack should be OK)

Anet devs, if you see this suggestion – please, at least consider these fun ideas for the upcoming (or for the next unknown Southsun themed update). Let us know if you think one or more of these ideas could work.

I told him which EU server has the most players from our country before he registered his game but he insisted to play on the server I and my boyfriend play (he’s actually the younger brother of my boyfriend) even though we told him it’s an NA server and he can’t guest on EU servers then (his English isn’t the best either). But now luckily he will be able to go to that other server and enjoy GW2 Thanks again for the help!

I see, thank you for the confirmation! Luckily his characters aren’t even lvl 10 yet so he probably wouldn’t lose much even with character bound items. I really hoped there was a way, wouldn’t want him to dislike this awesome game so early just for a bad decision.

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has recently bought the game and already regrets his server choice (I warned him multiple times about this).
Is it possible for him to switch to an EU server with no costs (like deleting all his characters, which aren’t even lvl 10 yet) or does he have to farm for weeks/months until he can afford the server switching? Since he has only recently started (last week), is it possible to request a server change support from the customer service? What else do you suggest? I want to help him :/

Also, sorry if it has been asked before, I couldn’t find any topics about this issue…

Sorry but why do you assume they were related by blood? Snaff was Zojja’s mentor and that’s about all that is official about them. A father figure he could have been, but an actual father? Not until Anet says so.

Actuall every weapon but mace and torch got new skins. I wonder what’s up with those <_< I don’t recall them having skins at halloween/lost shores either.

I’m trying but I lack a good white dye (had to photoshop the fluff so it wouldn’t look so gray :/ Best dye I have is Blue Ice but it’s not white enough… and I can’t afford the real whites…)

As someone who has legitimately had feelings for someone old enough to be my father, I’m not sure how I feel about the insinuation that you can’t/shouldn’t have feelings for someone older.

Anyway, it’s practically canon. The insinuations are, well, pretty much everywhere during the asura personal story. And if you need it any clearer, you really should read Edge of Destiny. If it helps you at all, it seems like it may have been a one-way crush.

I did read it, multiple times even. However, unlike with the Caithe-Faolain relationship (or heck, even the Logan-Jennah one), there are no real hints of a romantic relationship between the two asura. I can still only see them as a master-apprentice, no matter how I look at them.

That’s fine, I understand it’s very open to interpretation, but still… “You’re her whole world?” What kind of master is their apprentices ‘whole world’? Aren’t lines like that normally supposed to denote romance, or at the very least, a platonic, but deep emotional attachment?

" What kind of master is their apprentices ‘whole world’? " An asura kind, of course. For asura there is rarely anything more important than their studies, laboratory and inventions. Many asura value their inventions more than their children or partners. While it is true that some asura are exception to this and do value love more, it is only logical to assume that master-apprentice relationships play a large role in an asura’s life in either case. It must be something like the fahrars/warbands for charr cubs, where it becomes their new, “real” family. To an apprentice his/her mentor/master is what guides them to become a true genius so they can go on and invent stuff on their own. While Zojja never admitted it, she did need her master’s guidance and Snaff mentions that one day she will be a bigger genius than he is. Not even the ‘whole world’ statement makes it look romantical in any way – to me at least.

A developer’s confirmation would be very welcome though.

If you want some justification, just look at chimpanzee. They are smaller than humans and look much weaker too. However despite their size they can break someone’s arm or tear off someone’s face with a single move (quite dangerous animals). Now look at Asura, they have thick arms and legs, surely full of muscle. Just because they are short and prefer to use golems in battle or magic, they could be very well strong enough to be warriors and the like.

Raptors, griffons and skelk. All of them! Ogres already have raptor and griffon pets and a charr village has trained skelks. If they would be added to the list of ranger pets, I’d be very happy.

I believe the necro minions are made of multiple creatures’ remains … some have multiple ribcages (bone fiend, flesh golem) or don’t look like anything in the game world (bone minion, flesh golem again). For example I doubt that windriders, devourers or wurms have actual skeletons like mammals, birds, serpents etc. Yet our necromancers created minions in their images.

Playable tengu with tonns of bird-esque customization (crow, eagle, hawk, peakitten, parrot etc like faces, colorful feathers) + Gangnam style dance. Make it happen and I’ll be one of the happiest players

Maybe their living quarters are behind their labs… usually you’d hide the lab from visitors and be at your living/bedroom most of the time, for them it could be the other way around. If you enter an asura home only to walk into a laboratory, and the private sections are probably hidden from visitors. This is my guess…

Those ideas are actually pretty good… the norn one is probably safer… I hope some developers are reading your post and will actually place drunk norns boasting in the near so we could convience/trick them into helping… I’m desperately trying to keep one of the whales alive… maybe if some guilds get together and have always someone at the whales pouring water on them, maybe they can survive the next update… but dunno… as soon as they are left alone and dry they will probably die… it’s so saddening, even though they are digital… not like the real ones are any less saddening, but still… would be nice if we could save them :c

On Sanctum of Rall server we have found 3 whales, one dead, two still alive. We are pouring water on them but I wonder if it will only prolong their programmed agony? Is there a way to save them and have them pulled/pushed back to the water? Or will they eventually die with or without watering?

Also I believe they are the first signs that sea monsters are indeed approaching the area -as the posters suggested.

I know, might be a little too late for a suggestion like that… but it would be really cool if we could obtain black cat minis during the halloween events… Fatty cats, normal cats, anything as long as it’s pure black There should be more cat/bunny/other critter minis anyhow ;3 I hope that this will be at least considered ^^’

I am experienceing the same thing, I guess I will do other things until the NPC will be back.

I have noticed that many Asura NPCs have very bright eye colours that are not available in the CC, similar to these pink-green fur for Charr.

I don’t mind it, but has Anet ever explained why they chose such an animation for the Charr when they didn’t have it in GW1? Because that must have taken a hell of a lot of extra work to pull off.

In GW1 we mostly faced Flame Legion Charr. They have a more upright posture and even shoulder spikes, which together with their likeness to use magic makes them stand out more from the rest. Perhaps they also consider themselves as something greater that should walk on two, rather than 4.

I have to agree on this, especially the hammers. I was really looking forward to the Icebreaker (HoM Hammer) for my Asura guardian…untill I previewed it in the PVP Locker… not as epic as when a human/norn/anyone else holds it, in fact, not epic at all. It would be really nice if the weapon scaling could be reviewed for the Asura. Sure, this isn’t as important as bug fixing, but maybe since it’s likely a different team’s field, it could be taken care of paralell with the fixes, at some point. I hope so.

In a way, yes. Long ears (mostly them), round foreheads and intellect in general are what Asura consider attractive.
